661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto-Gambling Sites are being _ about XRP EVENT tomorrow. on: December 11, 2020, 04:03:47 AM
I think gambling sites are not part of XRp airdrop to spark because according to Flare network in which the creator of this Airdrop only supporting exchange can be the place where Spark token will be possible for XRP holders in which listed here

https://flare.xyz/supporting-exchanges/

and This is the statement

Quote
Does my exchange support the Spark distribution?
If you are a customer of a supporting exchange, then your exchange has indicated publicly that they will distribute Spark tokens pro-rata to their customers based on their XRP holdings. If your exchange is not listed at that link, then you should assume for now that your exchange will not be participating.

https://flare.ghost.io/claiming-spark-faq/

So gambling site is not mentioning anything about spark because of being not involve at all.

That's according to Flare Blog released recently.

Most of these gambling sites like your signature have exchanges onsite though.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Crypto-Gambling Sites are being _ about XRP EVENT tomorrow. on: December 11, 2020, 12:34:45 AM
I was wondering why there has been no announcement or at least a warning from these cryptoGambling about tomorrows Ripple Snapshot schedule.
Perhaps because there are several airdrops scheduled?
But since XRP is one of the currency that is widely accepted in most sites I visit,

I just thought it to be peculiar to not hear one site announce if they will be giving the Flare token for the XRP balance of their players when the snapshot is taken.

My local wallet ( Coins.ph ) have announced that they will not be responsible in Flare Token distribution, so we need to withdraw from coins.ph and put it some platform that will do the opposite.

The only thing I can think of that won't limit real new users would be to limit the number of links they can post (per post or per day). A Newbie who posts 500 URLs on his first day is clearly a spammer, but they'll probably just use more accounts to spam with.

Very tough nut to crack automatically.

Or to limit the number of BBCode tags they can use when formatting their messages. For example, without
Code:
[url][/url]
tag, it would be impossible for brandnew and newbies accounts to come up with such a sophisticated way of spamming described in OP.

A template can be prepared I think.
666  Other / Meta / Re: Suggesting this: BrandNew account limits on: December 10, 2020, 12:29:59 PM
It'll be hard to get into the forum without some form of connections and they'll probably pay someone to give them merits. Probably would raise the bar of entry too high and isn't ideal.

Nowadays if you put in your search engine for bitcoin related discussions, bitcointalk threads are top of the list.
But I agree that setting the bar of entry too high might intimidate more than educate.

Newbie jail was a thing before, but it was stopped by theymos and I do not think it would be implemented again.
It makes the forum unwelcoming to new members, both the legitimate ones and the spammers, and if any is going to try and jump through the hoops, it would be the spammers.

Here is theymos' take on it;
Limiting newbie participation is very harmful for a community. Newbie jail will never return: I consider the newbie-jail period to have been extremely damaging to the forum. When barriers to participation are too high, then the best people often just won't go to the trouble of joining, and the people who are willing to jump through the hoops are often people who aren't good for the community: people with nothing better to do, scammers, get-rick-quickers, etc. Having a permanent newbie jail policy would improve things a lot in the short-term, but would end up being a fatal poison to the community.
You are more or less describing newbie jail, which was discontinued years ago. You had to spend X amount of time in a special newbie section before you could do anything else.

I see. Thanks, I never knew there exists such feature. I guess I have not scrawled the forum very much.

My stubborn self would like to push this argument:
newbie is now different from Brand New.

667  Other / Meta / Suggesting this: BrandNew account limits on: December 10, 2020, 12:04:41 PM

Beware of the new type of spam, hidden in the bounty proof of registration.

Just an idea, how about implementing a limited account access for brand new accounts.

Meaning they must reach total time logged in : x number of hours;
or a requirement to be invited(merit), before brand new accounts can write, post.
or limit their post to the beginners & help.

This is only a suggestion.
668  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥Sportbook and Casino: BITSLER > $10,000 DAILY Wagering contest < on: December 10, 2020, 09:54:23 AM

a. The sport rules can be located here: https://www.bitsler.com/en/sports/rules.
b. Just like pre-match bets and bets on Asian totals all goals count for bets on Asian Handicaps. This is industry standard.

For an industry standard, you'd expect major books like bet365, Pinnacle, SBObet to use said standard. They don't. (it does vary by book, but it's definitely wrong to call it industry standard).

Anyway, the issue here isn't whether it's industry standard or not; Bitsler is free to have whatever option they want. The issue here is that Bitsler's support lied to Bitcoinsummoner, presumably causing him to lose money.

One could argue that support and bitcoinsummoner may have had a conversation which unfortunately had some language gap(some of the former support representative, in my opinion, is kind of a challenge to deal with). I personally have given them feedback, which I did not to ridicule but to let them know they have done quite a poor customer assistance. From my observation, these last 2 instances that I have contacted support, I think Bitsler have changed their customer representatives. Not that it will do any good for Bitcoinsummoner's experience, but for the better future player experience in Bitsler.

This is just my spammy opinion.

669  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Loan Default - asu u=519783 on: December 09, 2020, 03:30:23 AM
If asu was in a really bad situation and at the same time if we're going to take the moral and ethical approach, the attempt would be to at least try to negotiate with DireWolfM14 for a reduction or complete removal of the interest(probably with some proof), and a delayed deadline. But nope.

I haven't charged interest since April.  All I've asked of asu since then is to maintain communication, and make payments.  He offered to pay off the loan in full by August, I only asked him to honor his word.  I know what this past year has done to many folks, and I don't want to put any one in a difficult position.  I just want my money back.

Sorry about your loss. And after reading thru several threads about the discussion on this issue, I may have a full picture of what happened.

What you can do, is to have a legal case submitted, this can go under special the circumstance wherein even if coins.ph would not divulge the identity of the individual but with pressure from a community, example our community, or if you can file a case legally, can have the court ask for coins.ph to do so. Have you been in contact with coins.ph? It is better if you can get in touch with their corporate department.

My bad, I didn't notice the link at the very bottom of the sidebar. It doesn't seem like there's explicit mention of Asian Handicap rules so imo if support told Bitcoinsummoner one thing that wasn't described elsewhere, it's probably the fault of support.

To be honest Bitsler have an "ok" support team, but there are lots of room for improvement. Based on my past inquiries with live support, I would recommend Thomas as he seem to be the best or one of the best in that department.

@Bitcoinsummoner

I guess it would be best to ask Gab? Sorry, I'm not even familiar with the asian-handicap ; as a matter of fact, I thought this is crazy racist term for paralympics held in Asia. lol

Regardless, if support is misleading players (even unintentionally), and stating rules not mentioned elsewhere that have a significant effect on the actual bet, I feel like that's on Bitsler. Generally you'd expect customer support to provide accurate information.

How live Asian Handicaps work on a lot of sportsbooks (and what support supposedly told Bitcoinsummoner) is that they ignore the current score, so if the score was 2-1, and a -0.5 asian handicap was offered on the home team, it's is a "real" -1.5 handicap since the handicap would be relative to the initial score of 2-1.

Well to clear this up, I'm in contact with bitsler support right now. I have Gustavo, and I asked that he personally explain this stuff coz it is not something I can answer with accuracy.

- let us wait for an official statement from them.  Smiley

I directed Isildur to this issue when I saw him on Eng chat yesterday, he said he will look for whoever is knowledgeable with this.
Hope it gets sorted soon, as I got myself into it.

P.S.
also he also said he fix cables now. xD
674  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Loan Default - asu u=519783 on: December 05, 2020, 02:12:12 PM
It’s obviously an exit scam, all his previous loans detailed above are for a much smaller sum.
0.3BTC is obviously what he thinks his account is worth to exit. I dunno what Legendary accounts sell for but I presume less than 0.3BTC.
Sorry for your loss OP, genuinely.

It could be that he is just having a very hard time. From my own experience, sometimes shit happens, and when it does, it is just so hard.

I don't know what you define as an exit scam but if that was his intention from the start he probably wouldn't have paid the other loans back or made some repayments on this one. As for the account, I don't really know how much they go for these days but I'd assume a decent Legendary with a bit of trading history and feedback could get upwards of $1000. Taking out loans is probably easier and safer than selling your account though.
Some people just do them because it makes their life a bit easier in the real world, and some people probably take them because they're a gambling addict, ~snip
It is very hard, especially when every opportunity you have to try to be back on your feet, is taken away.
In my case, signature campaigns were my primary source of income before I had a loan problem with the good Ultra of primedice.

well,

I see it now that my exclusion from being able to earn from signature campaign and being able to pay Ultra sooner(credits to Lauda and marlboroza), is a blessing in disguise as I was able to reduce my gambling activities even if it felt like it was personal at first.

To asu:
I hope you don't give up. It may feel like this is to much to crawl out from but believe me, these challenges makes life more colorful.

I am Opposing the flag, because I feel like it maybe helpful for him(asu) to have a presence of somebody who won't turn away from him even in this failure. Also, since the flag is not very accurate, as the act did not occur just in November of this year.

Wow how big are those faucets and how much need to wager for platinum VIP level or higher and also can we lose level or not after some time?
I believe you need 250k USD wagered to get Platinum VIP. VIP levels don't go down (though I'm sure your reload will decrease if you spend a long period of time just claiming reloads and not depositing), and the size heavily depends on your activity in the past week. If you lost a lot in the last week, your reload will go up and vice versa.
Platinum VIP reload amount depends on loss or wager? I haven't reached platinum VIP level yet, but few months ago I have talked with an user who is higher level VIP and have the reload option available in his account. He said that reload amount depends on wager, haven't said anything about profit or loss amount and deposits. Base on your recent wager amount, reload amount will increase and decrease. Higher wager will increase the reload and vice versa.

I believe it does. I haven't played much at Primedice, but everything seems very similar to their other site (Stake), which has an indepth explanation of the reload:

Basically, if you lost money in the past week, you get an additional amount added to your wagering based reload  Smiley

No strings attached, (cough)

Micro you haven't answered to my reply via PM.

You listed RRMine as paying $25 for Sr Members, but it has no Sr. member slot and the $25 payment is for full members.
What a weird payout structure. I've updated the OP. Thanks NotATether and ralle14.

weird that ralle14 missed too. 'twas a good catch NotATether!

*a wild guess**

Maybe it is upon Hhampuz' observation that:
Sr. Members post quality < Full Members post quality.

or

Sr. Members spamming rate > Full members spamming rate.

Sent him an inquiry because Bitamp also have the same payout structure.

thanks for the update Mitchell Smiley

I just recently tried out your sports betting I really enjoy playing on your Esports betting since I would have the option to watch it live on the website itself. I really like that feature of yours I hope there would be an option too for football matches.

As far as I know, there would be no problem broadcasting a match unless an event broadcast has been exclusively given to networks which, for Sports is very common.

Edit:

lets wait for bitsler to buy its own football team :3
