Looking at mine. It's 0GH/s. Looking at bargraphics. He went from 4.5TH/s to 500GH/s. Which is pretty strange. He still has one miner up and running out of 10.
Mmm seems like he's slowly going down to 0GH/s now.
They should just get out of the data center business and stick to what they are good at. Making miners and ignoring customers. |

it will hit 3PH soon That's scary because KNC hasn't delivered anything new in a week. Who put up all that hashing power today? If KnC does do a relatively large shipment on a single day we should see it reflected in network hashrate as an unusual blip. Might be usable to distinguish the effect of KnC additions from others. There has been a ~200 TH/s increase in the last 24-36 hours. Wonder if KNC is mining with our miners to pay the compensation they promised to the hosted units. Still waiting on a tracking number for my Day 2 here. I received no tracking number. I returned from a trip to find my status changed to "shipped". No tracking #, just my knc order # as reference. I was off line for a long weekend, so I don't exactly know when it was shipped, but I received my gear on Monday a week ago. I think that if it says shipped, keep your eyes open for the big brown truck. Nope, still "In progress (Payed)" since last Sunday. |

Seasonic manufactures the higher quality PSUs for Corsair and MANY other vendors. The HX series is one of them. Seasonic is considered the premier maker of PSUs by many PC enthusiasts. So it's very surprising that their PSUs are possibly causing such a horrible problem.

We all bought an unrefined product did we? Odd, I didn't see those words or anything like that when I paid for mine.
Not in any of the back patting videos or interviews either.
We bought a miner that we were told confidently would have margins upon margins capable of 400Gh and even today no-one has said that this (and the oct 15th date) has changed. Except of course to up it to 550 on the site and most promos ...which currently is false advertising ..as the past 20 pages here bear witness to.
As for all this shite about power consumption...right now is that a big priority to get down? I'd rather have a hashing rig while it's making enough BTC to make a few quid power bill extra irrelevent..later on the power consumption will matter more but not initially compared to a working rig. As long as the PSU handles it, we can wait for a firmware fix to get it down. Hashing reliably without smoke is the priority for users.
The sarcastic tone of Oramas post amazed me, people using fans to reduce temps ..planking? It worked. How bizarre is that? More to the fucking point no-one was talking from KNC end despite much asking...so what else were people to do? "We have a specialist flying in and we'll get back to you as soon as we know something." < see, took me 3 seconds to type that, and even some poor sweaty overworked KnC human could manage that surely?
The way to deal with trainwrecks like this isn't arrogance, sarcasm and silence ..it's communication and apologies and in many cases here where buyers have been so badly let down with multi hosted jupiters...fair compensation.
I wont deal with KnC again, nothing to do with the rigs, it's the denial and head in the sand stuff I can't be living with.

The temps quoted from Bertmod were from the VRMs not the ASIC. Please explain what trainwreck exactly? They, in a week have delivered more hashrate than BFL have to date, and more boxes than Avalon ever achieved. They have just released an update that massively improves hashrate. It was a firmware, not a cooling issue. One week. Fair enough if you don't want to deal with them again, their engineering partners on this project think they are incredible, really. That's not hype. C'mon, you seem intelligent enough to understand that not giving an update to your customers when something is delayed is poor business. Each day that I don't have my miner after 30 Sep is another day that it is late. Today is the 11th/12th of October. I do NOT have a tracking number and I have a day 2 order. I will be very lucky to get my day 2 order by Oct 15th. I should have gotten at least 12 updates/explanations/apologies since the 30th but I have not gotten 1. All I get is canned responses from KNC support saying everything is progressing nicely as the days fly by. Again, we are talking about an order that was marked as "This order has been scheduled for Shipping on day 2 of production". What day of production are we on? Where is my compensation or at the very least an explanation. It would look like this: "Hello Mr. ____________, We apologize but your order will not ship again today. There have been reports of units catching fire, overheating, locking up, and just generally under-performing so we have decided to stop shipping any further units until we figure this shit out. As compensation for this delay we will provide you a voucher for 5% off your next order for each day your unit is late. If we are 20 days late, your next order is absolutely free. Again, sorry for the delay." They may be doing amazing engineering but they are doing piss-poor business. |

In the (short but) entire history of Bitcoin ASIC mining, no news from a vendor has always been bad news: bASIC, BFL SC products, Avalon, etc. Sadly, I expect KnCMiner to be no different. yes. redhash, avalon first batch, bitfury... "ALWAYS" is such a big word.... Again, why the fuck do you guys even talk about it? Wait another few hours and maybe there will be some news then. You can start to bitch about no news when September ends. Until then the innocence still lasts  Oh, was that the promise? News by the end of September? I thought it was delivery before the end of September. It is impossible to deliver as promised so they are already "guilty". Nobody here wants to hear your cheerleading at this point. No, actually no one wants to hear you cry. Especially not with stupid facts like those above. BFL had lots of news. Most was fake or bad. Actually most of the other vendors except BFL did a good job in keeping quiet and delivering. Granted, avalon had some serious problems after their first batch and their burn in was wayyyy to long, but those that invested in them instead of crying wolf earned a LOT of cash. Cheerleading? Show me a post were I was cheering for KNC! I have enough orders with them to buy a new (cheap) sportscar, but I am not sitting here crying me in my sleep because they have not delivered yet. Pretty much all my posts here contain some sort of criticism of other posts, be it dumb/stupid comments, misinformation or just plain inability to use basic mathematics. You do that. In the meantime learn some patience. The last company who was not silent most of the time was BFL. Also, 3 days since the last announcement and it is fucking Sunday. Give me a break man. Yeah, patience worked out great for BFL customers. Great idea. EDIT: Why would the day of the week matter? Are you seriously suggesting that they are off today? If they are, that's even more reason not to do business with them. 1 day before 890 orders are supposed to be delivered to their customer's doors, no proof of a working miner and they take the day off? Who said they took a day off? I am pretty sure that most of them aren't. But who the heck has time to post fucking status updates on a Sunday and with so much work to do? Do you rather have your miner earlier or some freaking update where it says: "hey, I could be tuning or software or optimize the volatge to get more out of your miner, but I like to post updates where I say I would do it more than actually doing it!"? I thought that too. Limiting miners produced and supporting their customer base was a nice idea. Then came CHINA. No-one opens up in China to limit sales.
I forgot to mention China. You are exactly right. They are previewing their miner next week in China, and they aren't going to ship until next Feburary/March to allow the people who invested in them first and got them off the ground a reasonable time to make some coin? BS. Unit's will be flying out the door asap. But maybe KNC think bitcoin mining in China doesn't effect bitcoin miners in Europe Yeah right. No real word from them for a while at this crucial point is annoying too, the silence is deafening.
Totally agreed. One news update in the last 11 days! Totally fucking disgraceful and disrespectful to the people who gave them millions in interest free loans to start their company. Although KNC were good about issuing refunds etc, China & keeping everyone in the dark are the sort of things I've been least impressed by. +1 |

Its legit. I got the same type of message: As all orders have now been sent for production, no more refunds can be issued for the September/October orders. November shipping orders can still request full refunds. Posting a load of photos of people assembling racks, then nothing shown for production...not a pixel. Does that make an ounce of sense at this stage if they are in production? So easy to do. Why wouldn't they?
Exactly. If they had chips, you would have a picture posted within minutes of getting them. In fact, as soon as their courier has them in possession, they will take a picture. They are not even done being packaged therefore no assembly/production is taking place. I mean maybe boards but not miners. |
