681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Stellar on: August 09, 2014, 09:49:39 PM
When they give out 3500, won't it drop?

As they stated in the news, the devs are trying to give away about $10-$15 in stellar for every account,
therefore if the price goes up then they decrease the STR given.
682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [LTBc] The most profitable alt coin to mine is... on: August 09, 2014, 09:44:45 PM
LTB payout just arrived, the coins are becoming increasingly rare, probably in some weeks there will be a spike in their value.
Luckily who enter now is still an early adopter but the next month will be too late to join.
683  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: btc-e account hacked :( on: August 09, 2014, 09:39:38 PM
First you should do a format of your current hard disk to be sure that the keylogger is erased.
Then turn on two factor auth in every account you can, and change your email to google.
684  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a ripple? on: August 09, 2014, 04:53:02 PM
Where can you get stellar without sharing facebook account?

You can get stellars by confirming your email address, but the biggest part of STR can be earned only through facebook authentication.
With this method is amost impossible to cheat.
685  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchanges on: August 09, 2014, 04:48:03 PM
From my experience BitStamp is the most trusted exchange today, I had some issues in the past and they solved them perfectly.
686  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best possible crypto investment | $100 to $4,188,800 | 41888% ROI on: August 09, 2014, 04:16:13 PM
but... was there enough volume to convert 1600000 MEC to 3808 BTC? Wink

Good point, theoretically it would be impossible to sell so many MEC without a huge spike in the value.
Therefore the best possible crypto investment is... impossible Smiley
687  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Safer Cold Storage: Trezor vs. Armory ?? on: August 09, 2014, 04:06:19 PM
I would recommend Trezor for people who haven't a particular experience with bitcoins and cryptos in general, it's a perfect gift for friends or parents if you want to introduce them in the virtual currencies.
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: coins must be judged by VOLUME not marketcap on: August 09, 2014, 03:48:34 PM
I would have never imagined to find ripple in the third position, it's value has increased alot since a couple of months ago, what happened?
689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Ordered this to be my dedicated android cold storage wallet on: August 09, 2014, 03:40:29 PM
Personally I prefer the old but good ubuntu live cd cold storage with wallets stored on several usb drives, it's safe and fast.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first nightmare with bitcoin! on: August 09, 2014, 03:36:21 PM
Hehe nice story op, I never had any crypto nightmare simply because I don't own many bitcoins and if I lose all my btc holdings I won't cry Smiley
691  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My wallet is stolen! (10 BTC) on: August 09, 2014, 03:22:10 PM
I always store my savings in offline wallets (cold storage) encrypting them with a very long password.
There's no way for an hacker to steal them because they are never been plugged in a connected computer.
692  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Receiving coin while unsynchronized ? on: August 09, 2014, 03:15:26 PM
Try to use Armory, Electrum or Multibit as bitcoin wallets. With them you don't have to wait for the sync process, just start the program and it will work without any waiting.
693  Economy / Economics / Re: Has anyone made a comfortable living only investing in crypto trends? on: August 09, 2014, 03:12:28 PM
Living with crypto trading and investments is my dream but at the moment I don't have many funds avaiable so I'm trying to accumulate as much as I can for the future.
694  Economy / Economics / Re: How high a of a market cap would bitcoin need to have to be 'stable'? on: August 09, 2014, 03:07:37 PM
It's really hard to predict but when the market cap will be as high as the Apple one,
then the times should be mature enough to have a stable price.
695  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we in a bear trap? on: August 09, 2014, 03:03:41 PM
The value dropped a little in the last month but the next price movement probably will be upwards, I can't see a reason why it should go down from here.
696  Economy / Speculation / Re: Am I the only one who wants bitcoin to tank? on: August 09, 2014, 03:00:07 PM
I think that the value will rise in the near future, the bottom has just been hit and probably it won't tank anymore.
697  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How long have you been using Bitcoin? on: August 08, 2014, 09:13:27 PM
I knew bitcoins in late 2012 but I wasn't enough smart to invest some cash in it.
Later, in 2013, I bought some coins and used them for some small transactions buying electronic goods from the market.

699  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: mining with smartphone on: August 08, 2014, 08:09:20 PM
Is it possible to mine using a smartphone? Ive seen some mining apps and curious if anyone has actually tried it

i think it's possible to mine using a smartphone, because a smartphone has a lot of applications which are developer by programming developer. i.e : android, ios (apple) or blackberry ...

Roll Eyes. You obviously have no idea.

Ha  Grin Grin Grin Well, he's right in a way. Since there are a ton of applications for the various operating systems and platforms, there most likely are some mining softwares available. yet, people fail to see that a smartphone is hopelessly underpowered to actually achieve any profit. We're talking about a factor of 10'000x here...

Maybe the people looks at the octacore or quadcore cpu of the latest smartphones and thinks that they could have a great computing power usable for bitcoin mining.
700  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining USD? on: August 08, 2014, 08:04:25 PM
Yes I would mine USD but only if I could have some btc profit from that.
Btw you can mine USDe, an altcoin which was created some months ago.
