681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storjcoin X (SJCX) - A Coin for Decentralized Cloud Storage on: February 24, 2015, 04:04:09 PM
I have problems with bitcoin-qt (it does not load up) ona VM ubuntu OSed therefor I am not able to store my SJCX locally.

More details please. Why don't use Armory to store SJCX? See http://blog.pryds.eu/2014/07/store-your-sjcx-in-armory.html.

Anyway what happens if I just send SJCX to a BTC address?

Hey guys can I run multiple MN's on the same VPS (IP)?
I cannot really understand how to setup MNs using start-many.
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [GEO] GeoCoin | GIS & GeoTechnologies on: February 23, 2015, 06:12:23 PM
You know this is taking exactly the same steps of every P&D vaporware scamcoin?
Anon dev claiming huge skills, low supply, no proof, everyone tweeting of 10$ worth a coin, etc.

Go to CKC thread, read the dev posts, then come back to GEO, read the dev post (and buy GEO). 1 thing is clear, Tobler knows GIS. He also posted a short video to prove the software is under development. What really tips me off is you can see a small elephant icon in his taskbar  Grin, that's PostgreSQL. Only an open source GIS dev uses Postgres. Anyhow, I've talked to Tobler and I assure this is legit. Of course DYOR and make your own decisions. Best to get behind a real dev with admirable intentions then the ICO P&D scams you are used to. Best of luck.

lmfao based on your logic a dev using Microsoft Windows makes me run as far as I can

ROFL developers use all platforms. I'm sure Tobler has multiple servers OS, etc. Just leave if you don't believe. Or are you interested? I have a long term standing with many people in crypto and I stand by my word. I wouldn't say this if I wasn't sure.

I was just making fun of your logic pgAdmin III ==> GIS developer.
Yeah I am interested but for now I only see vaporware and hype.
Time will tell. GL

688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: [OPAL] | SuperNET | MOBILE MESSAGING | OPAL DRIVE | COLORED COINS on: February 23, 2015, 04:00:01 PM
So, what does the future reserve for Opal? Smiley

Opal is like a better/quicker version of Counterparty with added functionality as encrypted file transfer capabilities once STORJ rolls out. I am fine with how long it is taking since you want the service to run smooth from the start. It is going to encompass the entire world so it isn't something you can just publish and cross your fingers on. If the service price for STORJ stays high based on market demand vs sell off (500M Coins for SJCX) then you can quickly see how undervalued Opal is right now. 15M coins for Opal and .02 cents per STORJ right now and 33 times more STORJ out there. But STORJ also allows the coin to be Mined but that is the basis of the service so it will only grow as the service grows. STORJ Users will Mine from their TB's of storage for people to use, their storage must be available in order to mine so the fundamentals of uninterrupted storage are there. If we just take the current price at .02 cents and times it by 33 Opal should be at .66 cents per coin. Or if you take the actual price of Opal and multiply by 33 you still get .21 cents per coin. Way undervalued.

The main thing that makes Opal worth something is the fact that you will be able to get something for it. That something is Storage space and the capability to transfer securely to other wallets. Not many other coins can say they are worth something since they have to translate back into BTC in order to be worth anything.

Is Opal Drive confirmed somehow? I asked once if there were a collaboration between Storj and Opal on the Storj thread but the devs denied it.

Maybe not collaboration, dev can answer this better than me,but metadisk from storj will be open source,we'll just integrate this on opal asset

In fact Opal is Way undervalue right now, good time to scoop Smiley

Oh I see, thank you for the response.
I've been supporting Opal since 500sat then had a break from investing in crypto but now I am back.
I strongly believe Opal will be again one of the coin I am going to support.

I'd like to hear what Bass has to say about his collaboration with MNE as being one of the group who where bashing this coin.
What made Bass change his mind?

Thank you for the response. Is "A computer that has never been connected to the Internet since before the operating system was installed, and never will." mandatory?
I do not want to keep my SJCX on the exchange but unfortunately I do not own an offline computer. Any workaround?
Cheers

Is this just only hype or the dev team has already delivered a prototype?
Cheers

Hey guys has someone been in touch with Mr. Spread lately?
I was about to deepen my knowledge of SPR but now I am bit concerned.
Cheers.

Sup folks! I have some doubts on running multiple MNs.
Are all of them embedded to the same daemon - VPS? Any reference link would be fine too.
Thank you.
