the noon wall report at 11:27am

Big long flats again for observation...its a nice look showing considerable support and clear definition at the $40k range. Long and short battle wrapping up tomorrow with a couple hundred milly on the line. Expect fireworks once the smoke clears. Paper traders and MSM would have you believe bitcoin is just another asset class....its not.

the evening wall report

Bitcoin up 4.86% today on strong volume and is currently trading just above $41k

Most markets saw significant upwards movement after the US FOMC raised interest rates the expected quarter point today. Not sure why people are happy getting charged more...but there you go.

Today begins the 21th day of the invasion of Ukraine.

A powerful 7.3 magnitude earthquake was reported in Fukushima Prefecture earlier today. People claiming it was the 'longest and scariest' they had ever experienced. This is coming from people in Japan..who experience hundreds of significant quakes a year.

a look at the daily and weekly MA's   50ma(blue) and 200ma(yellow)

Attacking towards 42 and this no mans land continues...with a breach opening the way towards the 43k-48k region.    Another rejection would possibly lead back towards sub $40k and the $36k-39k band.

When did you get the impression that I actually read what anyone (besides myself) posts here before formulating my own opinion regarding what s/he or they might have said?

actual lol

+1WOsMerit

Well, I have been told that I have been treating you with kid gloves, so I am taking off the gloves, and no more favoritism in your direction.. whether I like you or not.. I am not going to say.

Well..if there has been any favoritism...which I highly doubt...have at it. I'm ready Jay.

Take that and smoke it in your pipe...

If you happen to smoke...

Yes.

Oh?   And by the way.. could be interesting to figure out some of these correlation (or non-correlation) questions (the next 3-6 months are critical), and many of us in bitcoin appreciate that ONLY so much correlation actually exists between bitcoin and various other markets.. Of course, there is some correlation (especially short term), which likely needs to exist for bitcoin to be even close to a viable product with potential long term prospects.

I cannot even go with you regarding some of your doom and gloom assessments of fiat systems, even though a lot of the traditional fiat seems almost impossible to keep those balls in the air, it seems quite difficult to either have Armageddon or some kind of loss of dollar dominance when there are no real systems that are mature enough to handle taking over to fix such dollar system abuses.... I am not going to presume doom and gloom.. even though there are surely a lot of weird things going on in recent times.

Why does it have to be doom and gloom..especially when I say its not? Just because legacy markets...and perhaps by default..'crypto' markets are going to have to adjust to this new cold war dynamic, that does not mean its the all going to come to a grinding halt...dont think that is happening yet. We will do what we always have done..figure out a way to make it work...might be hard for awhile but with change comes opportunity and hopefully growth. I'm a hope for the best, prepare for the worst kinda guy Jay...no apologies there..I think we are going to get through this...without a full fledged ground war in Europe or worse...but its shifted the political landscape of the World again and I believe there will be impacts from that shift. Again..not necessarily a bad thing for bitcoin but I think it might create additional pressures imho.

Oh yea, want me to become just another Bitcoin Twitter User who keeps on posting hopium to get more followers, sorry, I can't.

We hold to higher standards here soldier...you have to be better than a tweeter...a high bar...but one I think you are capable of.

That aside..your best bet is to just ignore most of what juansnowgee says...everyone else does.

Chart was interesting and thanks for showing it and your time. Its just like any chart though ..looks great until it hits the pavement

Can the 'system' take it?
We are already about 10-11% down, but some fluffy techs are already down more than 50% and some large techs-20-40%.
If stock market goes down another 30% or more, combined with high actual inflation and no interest on savings, it would be catastrophic, imho.
How we are going to get out of that possible predicament? I have no idea.
Of course, bitcoin is my core remediation strategy, but even that could be negated (or at least it is possible).

unsure

Also not going to be the first time that you were wrong with your overly-bearish transition.. hahahahahaha

Havent we already covered this?  there is no minusing someones merit stash...once one has a merit there are no sanctions possible

where did you get the idea that im bearish?  that I am bearish on legacy markets?  indeed I am...I am however still incredibly bullish on bitcoin..always will be ...the short ups and downs dont bother me as the asymmetrical bet is still on

---------

Beware of the fast moving markets.
Fast up is [almost] always the indication of the bear, not a bull.

I want to be optimistic, but this is a way bear grinds you.
Even the fast pump in April of 2019 eventually reversed fully in March of 2020 (covid-dump), although I wouldn't mind a pop like that (it was from about $4K to $14K between april and june-july).
In our case a pop to 55k might be the equivalent.

Hate to break it to you...we are in a bear market...or will be...of the likes this generation has never seen. Its hard to predict what the ramifications the war in Ukraine and the sanctions against Russia will bring but shockwaves are already being felt.

Not only in fiat and oil but in commodities as well...and also in a logistics train already rattled by the pandemic. I dont think its going to be great for legacy markets...in fact tomorrow I would be surprised if rates do not go up..that will affect things as we move into Q2 and onward.
Of course...printing will continue so who really knows other than the US gubermint is probably not going to run out of dollar bills anytime soon.

I said it before and I'll say it again...things might get rough. I think bitcoin is at a point where the spotlight is on it..or will be and it might need to decide if it really is its own unique store of value and property or if its going to retract like I think most other markets could over the next several weeks and months. Now dont take this as all doom and gloom....price could very well plow sideways...it could drop...it could go up...just like it always has. Thats the thing about bitcoin..it really is a free market..people buy, sell and trade it for what they think its worth. I just dont see how it could be less valuble now that it was before this crisis....how the need for something that you can say 'No!' You can not have that without my consent is less. To me..the need has never been greater for something outside the cesspool of politics. What ever happens with legacy markets, things are not going to get 'easier' for bitcoin..they will get harder as more nation states try to get their claws into it just like they do everything else.

So we will see which way it blows....set your safety lines if you feel the need and then heel her hard over and chase the wind.

I am going to continue to stack sats.

carry on

Just think about it for a moment.

Cant remember more troubled times...most people alive today hadnt been born yet..  Decades of senseless regime change wars...Insurrection...a three year global pandemic.. unrelenting helicopter printing...recessions..stagflation...inflation...looming hyperinflation...a nation state threatening unspeakable horror once again....no..nobody have ever really threatened the World in both deed and action like Putin has since 1962.

...and yet

bitcoin is still trading within a trading range of its previous and current all time high    cant shake this feeling like bitcoin is going to make a move soonish..be it days weeks or months......soon     i dont know which way it will be...just that it will be most likely be large

interesting
