681  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stabilizes? on: August 17, 2018, 04:17:53 PM
Bitcoin price will NEVER be stable, get used to it. When price is going from $6.2k to $6.4k or vice versa you can consider it "stable" because that is the most stable bitcoin will get. However in reality we are also expecting like a 10% jump in price or a fall in price because we know there is nothing keeping bitcoin to be $8k tomorrow or $5k. Both can happen anytime. Knowing this usually causes people to be cautious about bitcoin and makes it more volatile because market is filled with people who think this way. Just these last 2 months we have seen bitcoin price drop to $5.8k than went to $8k and now at $6.2k, in just 2 months. That is definitely not stable.
682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still believe in ETH ? on: August 17, 2018, 03:39:45 PM
Recently ETH dropped below $300 , what do you think the future holds ?

Do you think it will still go below that?
I still believe in Ethereum just like I do in Bitcoin. Ethereum has been one of the strongest in the market and most people has always believed that it will be able to compete with Bitcoin one day. I know you’re asking this question because of the downtrend, but that’s not something to be worried about, and I can even tell you that this is a time for you to be more excited and there is big chance for you to stack up a lot of it and wait for when price will rise cause that is definitely going to happen soon.

The recent changes with the trends of ethererum will not change the hopes we are having with it. As bitcoin market is coming down hence ethererum also suffering. Like many people here, I am also expecting bitcoin-etf to restore the markets toward $1500 per one ethererum. I guess that may be possible by the first quarter of 2019.
683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to spot a scam ? on: August 17, 2018, 01:30:06 PM
The first rule of thumb in this bitcoin casino world is history. If the website has a history of good reputation and a ton of pages on its bitcointalk topic than you can know for sure that that website will be alright. If you think even for a second whichever website you are checking seems scammy, don't gamble there.

Check everyone's topics and you can see which one is old, established and trustworthy. For example we all know primedice, we all know how trustworthy and great it is, that means its really insane to think they would scam you, why would they do that considering they are already making ton of money.
684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 17, 2018, 11:38:10 AM
I think kawhi and lebron is an AMAZING pair however we are talking about warriors and rockets at west as the current best teams and just check their rosters. Rockets are the weaker of the two with harden and paul being the best players and lets assume kawhi can stop harden, lonzo will certainly not able to stop paul and they have good center at capela which lakers don't have and have melo helping out and eric gordon shooting lights out. Just lebron and kawhi will not be able to fight against all that team if the team around them is horrible.

If we look at warriors, we know steph is the best shooter of all times, we know klay is a close second, we know KD can score at will whenever he wants to, we know draymond is an amazing defender and well look at that they got cousins (he probably leave after this year) which means warriors are insane as always.

Now this is lebron and kawhi, they can really pull a rabbit out of a hat, however they also need decent team around them to have a shot at the title because lets face it this is a team sport, lebron carries all his teams to finals but he also loses in the finals.
685  Economy / Economics / Re: When will smartphones used for bitcoin mining? on: August 17, 2018, 08:25:42 AM
As we all know that smartphones are just like computer nowadays that has strong storage capacity and processor. This I think could be enable to mine bitcoin and this is what I am waiting for if there are any smartphones company that would offer their smartphones for bitcoin mining or even as a smartphone that works as digital hardware wallet for bitcoin and other crypto. I am waiting for it to happen. Do you think that it will happen?
I saw a similar topic like this one on Quora. I believe it’s possible for anyone to mine bitcoin with smart phones, but your main concern should be on how much you will be spending on electricity. I have heard from several miners that bitcoin mining can only profit those with a cheap source of electricity and they also claim that miners barely profit from it.

Hence, if these people that are mining with main bitcoin miner barely make profit, then anyone that is mining with a smartphone won’t make any profit, but rather would end up with loss on how much they spend on electricity. Now a days, staking and masternodes are relatively profitable which may enable people to look for alternate way of generating passive income other than mining as it costs much while setting up and while running.
686  Economy / Economics / Re: Bear trap or bull trap? on: August 16, 2018, 05:22:46 PM
Are we going to Saturn or will cryptos reach only the moon?
I think we are looking at a bull future. It is quite obvious that prices always go down a bit before going up. It never goes straight up and up, it draws back a little and shoots high. For that to happen we need to get the losses and drops in order to get the highs. Like Warren Buffet says, be courages when others are afraid and be afraid when others are courages. You need to just be patient and wait for the bull which is around the corner. If you sell or lose your patience in bad markets, you will never stay alive until the bull market days.

I think it is not bull trap because it failed because of etf news. But if etf would be acceppted there would still be such crash after some time.
How a crash will be possible if bitcoin etf will get approved ? I believe, if etf will be approved then bitcoin will have values around $25k in one week of trading and there will not be any possibility for crashes till $60k levels. Yes, the funds from the institutions and hedging houses may enable bitcoin to touch the moon.
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better for hodl? ETC or NEO? on: August 16, 2018, 01:35:16 PM
ETC was just listed and trading on coinbase. Comparing with NEO, which one is better for holding?
Some people here are mistaking ETC for ETH which is Ethereum. ETC stands for Ethereum Classic which came as a result of the fork in Ethereum. As for the decision making, I think both cryptocurrency are very good so you’re going to be making the decision based on your own personal reasons. But the price analysis I checked last for ETH, ETC and NEO shows that this is probably one of the most exciting times despite the slow market.

If your budget allows you then you may go for some other coins which are having only less than 25% of their all time high price levels. If you buy and hold them then you may get up to 3x profit in very quicker time. Do your own research by referring coinmarketcap and find out such coins. But, please do not ask again to this community as people suggest some random coins rather than suggesting the actual.
688  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Why the market is falling and why not be afraid on: August 16, 2018, 11:46:47 AM
-snip-
Sometimes I do think that if there are no manipulators in this, that the price of Bitcoin would have been more stable than it is now and wouldn’t be fluctuating all that much. It’s all because of all these greedy whales that we have as members, they are the ones who are fond of pumping the market and dumping at anytime. That’s why it will reach a very high rate and then drop immediately. Some people who are not yet into Bitcoin are now seeing it as a scam. Well, very soon the price will still go up though.

afraid of the falling market is not a part of trading or investment if those people's are afraid because of fallen market then they gain loss and also these people are not very expert in trading, so in last you are right to saying that buying know more coins is a very good for us .
Everyone has their own reasons why they are afraid. Some are just newbie and are afraid because they are thinking the price might not go up anymore and this is an opportunity for them to withdraw and quit. Others are being bothered with the thought of how long it may take before the price goes back up again. I have learned to control my fear and invest money I’m ready to lose.
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happens to market ? on: August 16, 2018, 08:58:54 AM
Market is getting down not only #Bitcoin but also Ethereum, Dashcoin and others. What is your idea about market?

How long time will this take to survive ?
We can’t really tell when the market will stop the falling. I have seen lots of this predictions since this year begun but none of them were correct. And another thing that is a big problem with some of us here is lack patience. We already know that cryptocurrencies are volatile, then why are we still complaining about the price that is down now ? That’s why they do say that no matter what you do you can never please everyone. But I still think that price will rise up before this year ends.

for now there are still many things that make the red market all, and at the moment I see also many factors for the problem. but I am sure that in the future I will be good at investing.
In the past, even there were 100x time more thing which were working against crypto world, the investors kept their faith which led the market to be stable as well into green but now a days traders and investors are losing their hope which is the main reason why we are having continuous red market.
690  Economy / Speculation / Re: GAME OVER for Bitcoin? on: August 15, 2018, 06:00:36 PM
No, I don't think bitcoin is game over, I just think of this as a time to take a break from the game. I still believe bitcoin will be able to bounce back and provide benefits.
Come on! We should not think like this irrelevant stuff for Bitcoin’s ending. It has high potential and strength that can achieve any target but the problem is people think and make decision for its end after noticing any decrease or decline in value. Making decision like this can not come true and such thinkers have got the answer many times in past by observing deadly recoveries of Bitcoin and now situations have become more stable.
Yes, we can literally just check "economics speculation" part of bitcointalk to see if its a bull market or a bear market without even knowing the prices. I can just get here any day of the week and just read the topic names and assume if we are in a bull market or bear market.

When bitcoin was going to $5.8k levels a month ago there was topics like "bitcoin will be $2k by the end of world cup" which it wasn't, it went to $8k. When it was $8k there was topics like "will bitcoin be $50k by the end of the year", well it still could be I can't say anything to that but we saw the price go down to 6k after that topic. Now we see 6k and the topic is "game over for bitcoin?". By the track record of this section in bitcointalk, I am assuming we are going to $10k Cheesy.
691  Economy / Economics / Re: [Idea] Simple mechanism to "back" Bitcoin's price with goods and services on: August 15, 2018, 02:28:48 PM
This can't be done in bitcoin since its against everything that is right about bitcoin however this has been done in other altcoins. There was an ICO which I really eyed hard however decided not to go with it. They were suggesting basically funding their business with the coins they were given to them. They would get a factory, get machines, get resources and produce some products that was worth really well. That way their business would make a lot of money and the coins would be considered shares so however much you owned of that coin that much of the company you would own.

The way it worked was get horrible at first (the capital costs) and slowly increase over time (profits). The price was basically speculation just like other coins but it was also backed by the profits of the company, so if you owned 1% of the companies coins (stocks) than you get 1% of the profit shared with people, paying more for it or less for it is still speculation.
692  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is bitcoin regaining dominance? on: August 15, 2018, 01:43:26 PM
[IM G]http://i63.tinypic.com/osz6rp.jpg[/img]

We passed the 50% mark recently, and if we look at what happens today, almost all alts lose a lot and bitcoin just loses little in comparison.

Is it because when we have a bear market like now, people turn to bitcoin because it is more secure? I think the opposite happened with the bull market last december, people turned to fancy alts because they thought they could hit the next 10× or 100×.
Well, because when bitcoin price drops that is usually people leaving the crypto market in general. Of course there are people who hold altcoins and have zero bitcoins but the main general consensus is people have bitcoin but diversify their portfolio by having other coins. Which means when people are selling bitcoin they already sold their altcoins.

When bitcoin starts to gain some price increase that means money is getting back into bitcoin, however not to altcoins right away. Which causes bitcoin price to go up but altcoins to stay valued however lose value against bitcoin which makes bitcoin get a higher market dominance. We need bitcoin to get more volume and people to have a lot more bitcoin and price to go up and stay up before we see people regaining trust on altcoins and start reinvesting into those.
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the crypto market recover? on: August 14, 2018, 02:51:50 PM
Of course market will recover and we will see x3 x5 x10 again, and we will get our investments back I hope. Everybody is waiting for this things so be patient and just wait for good days.
Well I would say that the arrival of July was a good sign in the crypto world and the values of Bitcoin started rising high. About a rise of more than $2000 was witnesses in the first twenty days and the August were expected to double the values further. But we have another fall now which is viewed as a momentary fall by many of the experts and the future is viewed as the era of Bitcoin because of the rapid expansion in the present in countries across Europe and America.

We might see a bit of recovery by December but not high as what it achieved last year of December many more things might happen, we need to be patient, it will just revolve and the market will pump again soon.
December is too far away but we may expect something refreshing to happen by the last week of this August itself. Yes, lots of expectation is on trade-able bitcoin derivatives. If that will be happening then we may see bitcoin prices bouncing back to new all time higher prices.
694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are the Green Days back ? on: August 14, 2018, 08:12:40 AM
For the past 24 hours, i’ve Being thinking of what is going on precisely, if i’m dreaming or it’s absolutely real but presently I confirmed i’m Seeing what i’m Seeing for real 😳. The market cap is really attractive compare to few weeks back while everything looks like there were disaster in the crypto community. My question now is, are we out of the messy period to the Green Days in the crypto market ? Your contribution is absolutely required. Thanks

As of this days I can't sure if greenday is back because at this moment the market was continous to goes down.Maybe it will recover but not this year and I can assure maybe next year. But as long as crypto world was exist and I keep on feeling blessed about that.
i only hope for the end of this year. i hope that Greenday will really come. we know that at the end of each year market has experienced a significant increase, so now is right time to buy
Well you cannot predict the fall so precisely, nor can you predict the price. This is just the market invisible hand that operates and affect and set the prices as well as the appreciation and depreciation. So, I do not think that Bitcoin will fall below $6000 because of the reluctance of bitcoin to loose further value. It dropped below $6000 in June and was recovered in few hours again and never dropped again. Irrespective of what the price is now, the Bitcoin is in a stable zone and will recover easily.

Right now prices are trading just above $6000 levels which must be a good sign and in last two days bitcoin prices are trading at same price ranges which may lead to bounce back at any time soon. I am expecting prices to reverse from current levels toward $10k now onward.
695  Economy / Economics / Re: Government regulation on cryptocurrency, GOOD or BAD? on: August 14, 2018, 06:17:42 AM
Cryptocurrency regulations I believe is good for us bounty hunters and investors especially the one mention which is registering ICO projects in a government agency that will handle this to avoid getting scam and so that our bounty campaign participation won't be a waste of time like what had happened today wherein 80% of the ICO does not pay off right after the ICO ends.
It is actually a very good thing to even see that the government at least pay attention to what the people want and rather than trying to find the means to frustrate the usage of bitcoin or cryptocurrency, at least they are trying to see how they can manage it. It is a good thing for the citizen as well as the country itself, and over time, I believe this will so much help a lot with development and growth of the nation as a whole as there is so much to benefit from the space.

I believe warning the citizens to be cautious of cryptos is good because the same way it can help is the same way people can get the wrong picture and end up losing a lot as well. However, this is the way things are with most governments as they tend to look more at the bad side than the good sides. However, it is a good thing that the adoption rate in Philippine is growing very strong, and with the step the government is taking to accept and regulate the space is really going to be a very wonderful move.
696  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin holders will have to pay their tax? on: August 14, 2018, 04:58:53 AM
What will happen on BTC if the government will said that all the bitcoin holder have to pay their tax??
Maybe the expansion of BTC community will get low than usual.
Those who are not rich will decide to quit and leave it for the rich dudes to compete among themselves lol. You’re not even yet sure whether you will gain anything for the month or not, and you’re talking about paying tax. If they should start enforcing tax on bitcoin don’t you know that they will charge you tax whether you gain anything or not, so lots of people are going to quit even at their first time of investing in bitcoin, cause it would make no sense.

if that happens I don't think it's a problem especially for me, because by paying taxes for bitcoin holders, bitcoin has been legalized by the government indirectly, and this is one of the main objectives of bitcoin holders
Lol, that’s very funny. Who talked about being legalized here ? It doesn’t even need to be legalized for anyone to make use of it. The only thing legalization can help to do is create a connection between banks and the blockchain so that users of cryptocurrencies will be able to make straight payments and withdrawals from exchanges to banks and from banks to exchanges and you can’t do that without exposing your full identity, cause another thing people loves about bitcoin is anonymity.
697  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tighten your seat belts and hodl the bulls are coming. on: August 13, 2018, 04:20:37 PM
I am assuming that the bull started at the time when the price of bitcoin is at around 8000 but again, it did failed again. Another failed rally has been done and this is very crucial because the 3rd failed rally can cause bitcoin's price to go lower than its key support of 6000. This is just a speculation and one thing is for sure at this moment, I don't see any bull incoming in the next weeks.
Honestly I was also expecting prices to touch $9000 and then $10,000 at those times but it had fallen to $6100 range again. As of now, I am expecting prices to stay above $6000 even the bulls may remain sleeping but I do not want bears to take no more control. A range bound between $8000 to $6000 also good for me for some more time but breaking the support of $6000 is highly not preferred unlike the previous fall from $9800 to $5700 levels.

Narrowing down the oscillation of market's range bound will always end up in breaking the upper side. If bitcoin holds above $6000 levels then another rally will definitely break the $10,000 prices. The coming weeks of bitcoin market will be highly crucial for the investors and close market observers.

I will not fasten my belts until finding enough confirmations. Yes, I need more confirmation by breaking the big resistances of $10,000 before assuming the possibilities of new ATH.
698  Economy / Speculation / Re: Main reason for the price drop on: August 13, 2018, 02:05:36 PM
In my opinion the main reason  that affects the value of Bitcoin is the investors. We people are responsible for the rise and falls in the value. We people often sell out our Bitcoin's whenever we hear something negative about it.This leads in a huge drop in the value. And whenever we invest in it more the value increases automatically. So we people are the main factor that affects the Bitcoin value.

Prices deepening is the the results of over reaction of investors which is new from  this business, uncertainty will cause them panic that causes them dump immediately even if they are  in the verge of loosing in addition to some bad news about bitcoin.

People who are panicking are those investors who are not well knowledgeable about how the market is working and that is the reason why they sell their coins at a lowest price every time the market is dumping.
Yes, traders got panic and took wrong decisions. There is nothing wrong with a price dropping or a price increasing hugely as this happens easily in every market which I want to believe anyone who is conversant with the way markets has always been would know better than to be worried about such movements as this knowing that every movement creates an opportunity either for buying during the dips or selling when everyone is getting greedy.

The price drop was normal though considering the nature of the market throughout last year which was expected to give birth to a huge correction and this is the correction we are having now. Even the increase in demand these days is fueled by manipulations and speculations, which makes it extremely hard to even get to understand how things have been tending for a while now and to know whether to be trusting in TAs or not.
699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think this year 2018 will be GREEN? on: August 13, 2018, 12:51:15 PM
Perhaps, the dynamics of the market will be green, but it is hard to imagine that the market will close the green year. Probably, prices will be the same or slightly higher, and we will be happy at least for this.
Well, a good investor will buy at any price and since we had the type of people who were optimistic about the future of altcoin and believed in their investment and the technology of altcoin plus their projects, they invested even when altcoin were on the highest price ever. They still hodl altcoin and are optimistic about the future.

Such people invest the money they do not need in the near future and cash it only when the gain in the worth of their portfolio is a hecta times high than the start. So yes, the market will be green soon and the end of the year is the time people will be becoming hopeful about.

In the past only in the year 2014, crypto markets faced continuous dumps and by January of 2015, bitcoin prices suffered to the mark of $180 price levels from the then all-time-high prices of $1200 levels. But, from January 2015 to December 2016 prices remained with mixed of red and green still reached to previous ATH. We can expect similar growth in coming weeks to achieve current ATH of $19800 levels, probably within this year too.
700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the new strategy? on: August 13, 2018, 10:46:38 AM
I remember several projects that are listed on the exchange before being distributed to bounty hunters. The price in this case also fell immediately after the listing.
I do not even know where the whole idea of the bounty participants being the ones dumping on the market started from. Probably some big investors trying to use that as a tactics to remove the eye of the community from them. Whales are always responsible and it is not like the whole bounty participants amount put together will really make much impact anyway since some give as low as 1% of total contributed during ICO and 1% is nothing as far as I am concerned.

Most of the good projects already implement a kind of lock in period where they distribute the bounty and airdrop tokens after they are already doing to the investors. So it's nothing new
Devs already know gradually the bounty participants were never the fault since so far, some participants never get to receive their token until it has been listed for a long time and still, the price of the token gets to drop. Those who dump on the market are the ones holding the larger share of the market, and since they were fortunate to get a whole lot during the bonus period and pre phase, they had a lot on them to dump at once.
