681  Economy / Services / Re: CoinMixer.se | Signature Campaign on: October 05, 2016, 05:53:39 AM
I've applied to join this signature campaign. It shows my application was rejected. Still my request will be reviewed and accepted?

Please let me know whether I'm accepted or not.
Thanks & regards.
Hi, unfortunately, we have no spots left for Hero members.

I applied for different sig campaign but didnt get the spot, so I'm back. Tried to re-apply but seems I was never taken off the list. I've done 5 posts without wearing a sig (3619 to 3623 in my post count), feel free to exclude these.

Could I also update my btc address to 12cp7Qurdref35gPVmLLSnvsAZxBQwcSUW (changed in my profile). Thanks
We didn't check the signatures in this time period, therefor you haven't been removed from the campaign. No problem, I updated your bitcoin address and you are still on the list.

I think you should update the op of how many positions are available. I'm still seeing 5 positions available for hero members. This is to prevent wasting time for the would be participants.

684  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dwolla to anything quickly? on: May 19, 2013, 01:07:31 PM
You can fund bitinstant with dwolla.  Looks like they will send directly to a wallet.
685  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: PicoStocks, bitcoin stock exchange on: May 19, 2013, 12:51:59 PM
I don't like the model personally.  If I buy stock I want to be able to vote my shares.
686  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is in-face trading bitcoins lawful in US? on: May 19, 2013, 11:41:02 AM
You need to be registered to exchange currencies too, but if I gave you some dollars for some euros I sincerely doubt anyone would have an issue with it.

Also, aren't Bitcoins money like objects?
687  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have XRP and BTC, want Paypal (Trusted members only) on: May 19, 2013, 04:43:08 AM
I have $50 in paypal I would be interested in spending on bitcoins if you are still looking to sell.
688  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So is there an easy way to turn cash into BTC yet? on: May 19, 2013, 04:28:28 AM
I actually want to buy coins, not sell them.  Thanks though, I'll check out localbitcoins.
689  Economy / Trading Discussion / So is there an easy way to turn cash into BTC yet? on: May 19, 2013, 04:19:55 AM
Basically I am looking for an answer to the question in the title.  I don't mean cash in a bank account, or otherwise stored online, I mean dollar bills, paper folding money.  I saw something vaguely promising on the bitinstant page, but it didn't quite make sense to me.
690  Economy / Speculation / Re: sending money over gmail, Google has unveiled their Bitcoin killer ;) on: May 15, 2013, 09:02:36 PM
I wonder if I can fund bitcoin exchanges with google?
691  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mt. Gox is an unlicensed money exchanger dealing in "crypto-currency." on: May 15, 2013, 09:01:32 PM

They came for MTGox, but I was not MTGox, so I did not speak up...

(That said, dude knowingly lied on his application to the bank, this is a "clean" bust. Still, a bad sign.)

Well technically he check the "no" box in 2011 and it was only a couple months ago that the government clarified that they consider cryptocurrency to be money so he did not knowingly lie on the application.

The government always considered Dollars to be money. And Mutum Sigillum transmits money to and from MTGox and it's various customers. It exists solely for the purpose of transmitting money. One of the questions he answered no to was:
"Does your business accept funds from customers and send the funds based on customers' instructions (Money Transmitter)?"
The other was "Do you deal in or exchange currency for your customer?"

Even if Gox was outside of those particular regs (until the FinCEN ruling), Mutum Sigillum wasn't.

They accept and send dollars, also Euros and other money.

I suspect the DHS has nearly 7 of my bitcoin  Cry  I knew i should take it out last night, but I didn't.

They don't.  Not even 1.

You think I'll be able to get it?
693  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price will not crash due to MtGox crackdown on: May 15, 2013, 08:46:33 PM
80% of the Bitcoin market is with MtGox and the USG is seeking to shut them down.  There is no way around a price drop.  Question is, how many people will actually get their money and BTC out in time.

You assume the US is 80% of the Bitcoin market.  80% of the noise perhaps but I'm sure the rest of us are way more than 20% of the coin base ;-)

no, 80% of the world market, roughly, is on Gox.  At least the bitcoins to fiat market.  Gox going down removes a lot of money, both fiat and coin, from the market.  Presumably the US government is seizing that.
694  Economy / Speculation / Re: A simplistic view of what is going on on: May 15, 2013, 08:43:54 PM
The impressive thing is how resilient the market is.  Mtgox is down due to ddos. Its bank account in US has been frozen. Yet price has fallen about 5% only.

This still seems like it would raise demand for bitcoins, not lower them, to me.  If I were DDOSing MYGox on this news i would expect to induce panic buying, among those looking to get out, not panic selling.

696  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dwolla can no longer process deposits or withdrawals to MtGox on: May 15, 2013, 01:15:39 AM
No, I want to my funds off gox without doing a wiretransfer

So turn them into bitcoins.  They're pretty cheap at the moment...
697  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 14, 2013, 08:23:10 PM
And the price is back to 114 and appears to be holding, really?  No more panic than that?
698  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 14, 2013, 07:58:15 PM
Damn, shoulda cashed out at 118 so I could cash back in, oh well, i till have some fiat on the books.
699  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dwolla can no longer process deposits or withdrawals to MtGox on: May 14, 2013, 07:40:12 PM
Let me be the first to say:

SELL SELL SELL! Grin

Not if tyou want to get your money out of MTGOX,  To do that you'll have to buy buy buy.
700  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox account in the USA has been seized by the DHS? on: May 14, 2013, 07:33:01 PM
Prices got real interesting after paypal stopped supporting MTGox,  I expect something similar here.
