Profitable? I think Yes but not that big profit like those in long term trading. In shorting, every time you transact you pay the trading charges or fees. Also, in short trading, prices do not always rise to an unprecedented high. All I can say is short trading is excited and fun.

Thats a sad year, i just lost 100% of my coins in just 4 months tried a mix of strategy, safe ways, risky, playing just a few times per day but results are always the same you lose in the end i feel cheated its unbelievable know why the house always win? And you see people saying "it happens, you can not win in a long run" why not? why i cant win in a long run? why we never see a casino losing and closing the doors? why 999999999% profiles of the top gamblers are negative?   but you know what i like? I like when the house eat the shit back when someone manage to find a bug and make 6-7 digits over it  the house cheat, thats it It is not the house that is cheating, it is you who is overpushing your luck. And as a result you lost it all. We all know we will lost in the long run so we should have kept our gambling controlled. When we got some winning we should stop and play another day. But most of us continue until our bankroll is depleted. Chasing loses is never been profitable eversince. We should know that.
This is another sad story of gambling. Sometime the eagerness to win more money leads to lose more of it.Greed is maybe another factor. Uncontrollable urge to gamble leads to addiction and this should be given attention.It willnot only do harm finncially but also to relationships and other people around us. |

I don't think that price will touch to the moon in this year but we will see some really good price of bitcoins in this year as we already saw ath in this month and same we can expect in coming months too that it will keep on rising higher and higher.
I agree, 2017 is just another fine year for bitcoin. This year we started a good price then a little dump with the hard fork issue with the Bitcoin Unlimited BTU and now it fully recover. I think this year is quite stable but I still hope to reach $2,000 this year.  |

There is nothing wrong in investing in bitcoins as the price is getting higher now so its a good time to invest in it but make sure that you withdraw your profits at right time as we cannot afford to trust bitcoin blindly as an investment.
The price of bitcoin might get higher with time but when it comes to investments you must have a proper knowledge about the price movements and never plan on investing before learning about it.I would rather suggest to wait out till you see a small correction in price and then you could enter at a good price ,because entry is the most important feature when it comes to making profits. Over time, bitcoin prices continue to grow.Though it is not smooth sailing, it managed to recover.I think risk in bitcoin is quite less compared to other cryptocurrency. All cryptocurrency is paired with bitcoin as their basis aside from dollar tether and others. |

So much promotions of each coin here Bitcoin is already establish and already carved its name in cryptocurrency. Loss? I am already used to it in trading. The best way is to diversify your trade. Pick the stable ones , those that has bigger volumes and more people are trading with it, not those being played by whales as in the case of pump and dump. If it is diversified, the loss on one coin can be recovered on the other one.Trading is risky, be always informed with it.

i think ICO is like gambling, you may win a lot or lose a lot. it might be easier to choose the right people, not the project.
Yes it can really be compared as gambling but if you did chose the right coin then you might win or gain profits and this is the hardest part on choosing a coin and does have a good potential.Its not an easy thing to carelessly chose and for op it depends on devs if they would pay up equivalent on thr amount you invested but mostly this do happen. True. It is like a gambling also and it depends on owner/developer how honest are they. Not all ICO's returns are the same. Some are terminated when the target is not met and disappear without any trace.Investor are left behind wondering. |

Both DEX options (Bitshares & Waves) are worth trying; it may be the case you would prefer one over the other for the specific things you do. The only way to find out is to get involved and start using them right away.
For investing keep in mind that the Opelender Decentralised Conglomerate is a well-planned structure (based on Bitshares platform) which is getting a lot of attention lately. Same as with Bitshares Munich IVS, a company with many innovative products supporting the Bitshares (BTS) environment. Actually, you could invest in both Waves & BTS DEX.
It might be wise to follow up the Lykke exchange project as well for the possibility you mention to trade stocks, commodities, currencies, or cryptocurrencies in the future; you might end up with good Lykke ( I mean good luck).
On the other hand, it is very nice to see the new Waves DEX user interface (UI); it looks quite appealing for mass adoption.
So far I like the waves DEX platform. It pretty neat and easy to navigate. I'm am still learning some interfaces and its OK for me. Though some of the features are disable, some icons I think is under construction but you can see its smooth to roam around the site. |

What I like most on bitcoin is its flexibility when transacting online.also since it has local exchanges on our country, it is easy to convert to our local currency also.The opportunities that bitcoin created is also great that it changes the online landscape.

Waves would seem to be the obvious one to me.
After delisting 17 coins yesterday, I am not sure that they will add lots of small market cap or low price coins that won't be heavily traded.
They seem to mainly be about the money, so Chronobank could be added, I think Zclassics chance has been and gone, these crappy forked coins should be added immediately, or not at all.
I gree with waves. It has a great platform and online wallet and as of now it is like underrated. Also I am hoping that edgeless ,humaniq and wetrust (TRST) token will be listed as it has successful ICO and great project. Poloniex will delist several coins and hope this coin mention will be there soon. |

There is a finite number of XRP, no more can be created. Because there is no mining, XRP are distributed over time (sold).
They are working on Locking up Ripple's XRP with Crypto Conditions to provide market predictability.
Then this is a good signal then. By releasing 333 million on the market, means that they cannot control it it. It will be community driven crypto currency which is beneficial to owners. But surely releasing this coin disrupts the coin value. |

Correct, But how small is considered small for him @OP? If you know to control your emotions, when to bet and make positions I think it is very possible. But in gambling, I considered it as a pure luck. They probability to always win straight is very low I think. Now, with EDGE LESS, zero hose edge? I think it could be a game changer. |

When you guys are gambling and already doubled your bankroll, do you still play with the whole money you got or you take away half of your bankroll and start playing with your profit or not?
just take away the half and play again,, next day take again ahalf... avoid to play greed coz after doubler your bankroll and play with the whole money my mental just down scare to lose everything Yeah, this is the safest way to do it. Playing only with profit is always the best, as you have nothing to worry anymore whether you lose but if you win, then you are very lucky enough. |

2017 was still a good year for bitcoin. We started a good year also, with a good exchange rate then comes this BTU or the bitcoin hard fork issue and BTC prices went down. Now, I think BTC has already recovered and still I am optimistic about it.
