Hello. Developer of NiceHash here.

The issue of no work is not caused by NiceHash. It is another bug in cg/sgminer that hasn't been fixed yet. It looks like after several hours of working, cg/sgminer falls into this state. Simple restart of cg/sgminer fixes the issue.

We are planning to create forked versions of:
- latest sgminer
- cgminer 3.7.2

Which will include:
- no work bug fix when price is low
- extranonce bug fix of cgminer 3.7.2 so it will be compatible with NiceHash
- additional stratum method for changing extranonce1 without reconnect (improved performance of your miners when switching orders)

We will provide source (on github) as well as Windows and Linux (SMOS/BAMT/Ubuntu) binaries.
Make sure to push your changes to veox - he should include them in the sgminer git tree if they don't break anything.

Glad to see the situation should improve for miners soon - this site badly needs to focus on attracting some more hashing power at the moment.  A few more GH would be rather nice to see.  Need moah powwah! *rubs hands together*

I am starting to think we need a cap on hashrate... unlimited is causing crazy bidding wars - 1/4 of the pool's total hashrate as a maximum would be nice.

Oh wait... I remember how this works now - better point my rigs back here again while the rates are climbing!

But really tho, limiting order hashrate to maybe even 1/2 or 1/3 of the pool's total would make things seem more balanced I think.

Quick jerry rig made bidding on hashrate much less of a pain in the ass:

Would definitely suggest something like this be provided by default =).

Hm, 25k USD seems a little more then a month salary right? \
<snip>

Someone wants the price to fall so they can get cheaper coins before the PoS phase lol.

Any block explorers that let you view activity by address?
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.6 HARDFORK MANDATORY UPDATE on: April 20, 2014, 08:01:07 AM
When will be the next halving?
Next BlockValue halving occurs at Block height 200,000.  ~11,000 blocks left to go.  A bit over 6 days away.

http://blockrewards.com/ for a counter.

Expect network hash-rate to drop quite a bit along with the reward halving.

Is there a calculator for this pool?

I have 90x R290 with total possible arround 75K  K/hash.

So what to expect daily at this pool ?

I would be happy if somebody can advice me.

Thanks.
Look at the historical BTC/MH/day stats.  Everyday is different.  With 75MH/s from 90x R9 290, you would have made .00808*75= .606 BTC in the last 24 hours. Nobody knows what you might make from the next 24 hours.

Last 24hr profitability grabbed from http://www.clevermining.com/profits when posted.

I'm new in your pool and just joined.
I have used the same config I use in other pool (changing server name)
But I am receiving a very high number of invalid:
10 accepted 38 stale/invalid ... it is ok ?
Have I to worry ?

Look on the CM website at your reject rate vs the pool's reject rate.  If you're not drastically higher then the pool, then everything is okay.  The rejected share counts displayed at the top of cgminer are often not correct on CM.

Buy volume picking up, price heading higher.  Was making some good profit buying hashing power for the last few hours.

This site is seriously awesome - like day trading in real hashing power by the GH heh.  Sell some power when it's worth it, buy some power when rates fall.  Profit!

Lol... if I create two identical orders with unlimited hashrate, they seem to alternate.  One goes dead, while the other one is alive, and then they switch occasionally.

Edit: ah, and now both are dead.  Lame to lose 0.0005BTC x2 lol.

Waffle pool just smashed through some buy walls and drove it down to 1508 satoshis for a moment. They're trying to take it slow it seems, letting the market recover a little before another 100-200k dump.

This will work out fine until the market starts selling off naturally, then waffle pool will sell as fast as they can.
I think you're misinformed. Wafflepool essentially auto-trades all coins as they mature.  This is often sized in block-sized or a few block sized sells.

Very little trading is done manually on Wafflepool, by my understanding.  Coins are sold as soon as they mature.

The WP engine won't mine more coins if there does not seem to be sufficient market depth to make the continued mining profitable at the lowest level it could be reached.

It is more likely CM dumping coins on mintpal then WP.  You see CM clear their unexchanged balance sheets in multiple chunks?  And Terk said he is trading manually in the CM thread..

Was not aware of the possible delist, that could prove interesting.
Because there is no possible delist lol...  wcuz originally posted only "You said a mouthful Grin."  And then edited his post to add some non-sense rambling.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXE] Execoin - Fast | ASIC resistant | Multipool proof | KGW | no-premine on: April 20, 2014, 03:28:13 AM
You said a mouthful Grin, poloniex and cryptsy maybe delist EXE soon.
Lol, I highly doubt that.  I see EXECoin as better positioned then Vertcoin coming into the scypt ASIC era.  And nscrypt seems likely to stick around for a while (GPU miners will like what is familiar).

The point I have been trying to make, is that purchase depth leading to higher hashing power is probably more important then anything for this coin right now.  Merchant support and etc doesn't win the hearts that are the core of any successful coin - the mining community.  The falling price doesn't concern me.  The falling network hashrate (linked to a lack of buy support on markets), does slightly.

Oh well... overall, nscrypt coins are worth at least a few months hold.  Low diff just means more coins for the collectors.

My cudaminer isn't authenticating when I set "p=6.0" even though there is live work orders in the 7.1-6.6 range. Why does this happen? It does not appear they're all at their limit so I should be getting work on something.
The live orders in the 6.6-7.1 range are "full".  Buyers can limit their orders to a certain GH/s rate.  If there are no jobs to join, the server will not show as live. **

(** However, sometimes this is not working correctly (mentioned in this thread a few times), and NiceHash will appear alive but not offer work.)

<...> but if more people keep buying, that can be overcome<...>
That is a massive but, don't you think?

Don't get me wrong, I am holding a large chunk of EXECoin right now from when I was solo-mining (I have around .5% of all coins currently in existence), and I have faith in this coin's fundamentals.  But, I don't think early merchant support is the great thing that many people think it is.
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXE] Execoin - Fast | ASIC resistant | Multipool proof | KGW | no-premine on: April 20, 2014, 02:03:01 AM
I think, perhaps, merchant support?  Cryptsy can theoretically provide plenty of volume right now, increasing the consumer base would probably be the best thing at the moment.
Cryptsy ?
https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/183

What exactly do you expect merchants to do with the coins they receive?  Tank the price to 0?

Something is broken with the work queues... With p=9.8 set right now, my rigs connect to the pool, but never receive any work (and will sit idle for a LONG time).  It appears that the pool is accepting connections when there is a job at 9.8, but not actually assigning my workers to the job.

I reported this a few days ago and it is still doing it.
I seem to have an sgminer patch that fixes this - won't consider a pool alive unless it is supplying work. A bit hacky, but working okay.  Will test for a bit.
717  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - innovative professional cryptocurrency cloud mining service on: April 19, 2014, 11:36:51 PM
Had same problem I restarted miner it reconected just fine.
Yup... but this certainly isn't an acceptable solution.  I lost a minute of hashing while I was watching my rigs... if I wasn't sitting here, they would probably still be stuck almost an hour later, because there haven't been any new jobs.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXE] Execoin - Fast | ASIC resistant | Multipool proof | KGW | no-premine on: April 19, 2014, 11:26:52 PM
EXECoin needs some buy support, else the hashrate is just going to keep dropping.  We don't need merchants, we need speculators.
719  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - innovative professional cryptocurrency cloud mining service on: April 19, 2014, 10:59:18 PM
Haha... I was really hoping NiceHash hadn't clued in that someone might try to mine back to the pool =p.  Was going to order 1BTC worth of hashing at 7.4BTC/GH, directed back at nicehash with p=9.4 haha.

Guess I have to setup a stratum endpoint if I want to try this little game =p.
