congratulations to your large Byteball holdings. Please let me point out some things about
the dynamics of Byteball in this open letter:
Byteball has chosen to solve the inherent problems of initial distribution in a somewhat
unique way: The airdrop method. It rewards the people who already have a (considerable)
stake in the Bitcoin world. I think Byteball managed to attract attention to itself and its interesting
alternative solutions of P2P cryptotechnology rather successfully.
To discourage a "hit and run" interest it also set up the 20% payouts for those who are willing
to continue holding Byteballs. This surely entraps the profit-seeking part of our reptile-like brainstem.
If you can be driven to panic with a short term view of one Sunday night I am sorry for you, because
I consider this part of the fundamentals a rock solid way of building an initial relationship and over
time a familiarity.
Let me finish with a little outlook for the future: What will make people stay with Byteball once the
airdrops have finished? My first answer was, that the run for the exit will be catastrophic. A true
crypto armageddon. Everyone will just sell, the price will be 0 and it is over.
Actually I guess that you were hoping for another answer. While the price will certainly drop HARD at
that point I think that its past record of:
- having arrived in the (atleast) TOP 15 Cryptoprojects (distribution being complete)
- being fast
- proving reliable and secure
two more fundamental will come into play:
- big bitcoin holders that know how to hold are engaged
- only 1 Million Byteballs exist. Show me any crypto which works with such a low total supply! It is like
reinforced Bitcoin fundamentals on steroids and partially also responsible for the current high price.

Has Bitcoin / Byteball linking and IP-privacy been addressed?
what is there to address ? I'm assuming the Byteball program logs IP's. I know that the Bitcoin client doesn't. By linking the two, the Bitcoin address and IP are connected. so u worries about linkin your ip by byteball but situation when your isp can pinpoint u directly is no concern for you? VPN or proxy and maybe tor enabled. Sorted. |

I think this is some kind of trick from Bittrex. They wanna the free bytes for themself and locked the wallet.
This is not possible anymore as tony put cap on wallets with x amount of tx coming and going within time frame set by dev. Dead poultice. They may generate as many addresses as they want and send BB to those addr in stealth mode. In this case each addr will hold only one transaction True man. but we can still spam small amounts to those wallets and game over. Not big deal to create script to check explorer for big wallets...  If tony is aware what wallet is from bittrex he can easily trace new one. Beside bittrex is actin like jerk. Routine .... huh? Many good unaware people will loose because of greedy xchange. Really bad situation. What a joke. |

I found the correct addresses in the preferences/advanced/wallet-information setting. So now I have some GB in one address and some GB in another address, all in the same wallet. And the visible "My Byteball Address" that shows 3gb has actually zero balance. Should I just send the byteballs back to a exchange and then back to my wallet to "combine them" and then redo the thingy with the bot or what?

You know why all alts are RED? Cause everybody is converting alts to BTC to participate in ByteBall airdrop some people i know are going back into btc before it splits in the hard fork because they want a coin on each chain obviously ,the big blocks chain with 90%+ support will win but if lukes 1mb chain doesnt die it they might make a profit from it too What a bullshit. If hardfork occurs both chains will be massively devalued. ok, u should sell now if you believe that ,hungry whales will be happy to take your coinz cheap..... Just my perspective... But for the Bitcoin linked part of the airdrop, nothing should change, right (Bitcoin balance has not moved)?
And for the Byteball linked part of the airdrop, I assume just having a bytes / black bytes balance on any address controlled by me is sufficient?
If you didnt make any new tx on btc side than yeah. Any broadcasted tx always is split in to change address. |

I have a technical question:
I sent some bytes and black bytes to another wallet as test payment.
Does this mean that my wallet is no longer linked for the upcoming airdrop and I wont receive bytes and black bytes?
-for Bitcoin linked
-for balance of bytes / black bytes held in my wallet
I heard some stories that by making a payment, the link is lost.
Link is not lost but balance will change. Also some of change is sent to new wallet address which is not linked regardless if you controlling private keys. |
