It would be nice if they got that fixed, seems kinda a big part of a coin is to have a working block explorer. All of mine was in utc so I can't check any other coins.

Here is a little bit of a bitter laugh.

This is from post 14 of this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=149458.msg1589968#msg1589968

I liked the "Get Hacked" quote, and also about keeping trust with the customers.

Sometimes fixes take longer than anticipated but if you go over a posted deadline common sense would be to post and say what the fuck is going on.

anyone that has Coins stuck in crypt-trade check the block explorer if you know your deposit address for crypto-trade.

They can take all the time they need to fix their site after they come back up in non trading mode to let us withdraw our coins. Just as they stated on their maintenance message on the website. It doesn't say anything about we will be offline for 2-3 weeks and then after that time you can withdraw your coins.

It's not looking good is it? well over the 48 hours now.

I had 5,000k utc in there.

Question for some of you that may understand scrypt-jane better than I do:

Let's say I wanted to build two budget mining rigs.  Considering base costs equal (mobo, memory, psu etc), I could build one rig with a single R9 280X and one rig with 3x R7 260X.  So hashrate and price per card breaks down as follows:

RIG A)  1x 280x = 700-800 kh/s @ ~$450-500 (scrypt rate, only for comparison)
RIG B)  3x 260x = 600-700 kh/s @ ~$400-450

Obviously, the 3x 260x rig will consume a little more power and produce extra heat, I could see the key difference being the amount of memory available for each card-- 3GB for 1x 280x vs 6GB (2GB*3) for 3x 260x.  If scrypt-jane increases the dependence on memory as time goes on, is it possible that RIG B would "out-mine" RIG A at some point in the future?  I guess the point would be, if someone wanted a dedicated UTC (or whaterver SJ-coin) mining rig, would something like RIG B be a better long-term config than RIG A?  Thanks for any input!
A better option might be 2 270X cards. About the same price as 1 280X with more hash rate and only slightly more power. And FYI you'll never come anywhere close to 700-800jkh/s with a 280X on scrypt-jane. 300kh/s +/- 20 is about all you'll get now and that will drop as the n-factor is raised.

2 270x's pulls 400k/h on jane at the current nfactor, thats what I'm running

Right, unfortunately there's no easy way to cross-reference hashrates of different cards for given n-factors.  I know scrypt-jane hashrates will be lower than scrypt (and continue decreasing inversely with n-factor), but I'm making the assumption that all cards will scale down relatively equally with increases in n-factor (say, -50%hashrate for every n+1) regardless of the card... except that if n-factor makes hashrate more dependent of memory, wouldn't a rig with more gddr memory resources available to the gpus have an advantage?  If the idea is to one day reach an n-factor where CPU mining is viable (supposedly due to the amount of memory required at said n-factor), I would assume there's a middle ground where budget GPUs would become more economical as well.  I could be terribly mis-guided though  Cheesy  Anyone know how to estimate at what n-factor budget and/or cpu mining becomes realistic?

And thanks for the replies!

And that is where the $149 750ti shines from nvidia https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aj3vcsuY-JFNdERoRWIyOXp3bzg2TWdveWNudWxaVkE&usp=sharing#gid=0

we have been in the 2's before and bounced back so no fear there

but if it goes lower and into the 1's well that's new ground we just gotta keep the faith ...

The crapsty wallets (test) has gone 112,113,115 for the 3 new coins it will be adding soon

so i wonder where the 114 page went to i bet that UTC and its been kept under wraps

we know bumface likes to keep things close to his chest and he's gonna surprise us all Tongue

114 is for HUC  https://www.cryptsy.com/users/viewwithdrawals/114

That being said i had 5,200 UTC in Crypto-trade. Sad

Anyone trying to send his yac to bter.com and never getting it into the exchange ?
It is already confirmed in the block explorer, already 119 confirmations and nothing shows up in the balance at bter.com

E-mailed them but it could take days to receive an answer. ..
I know it happens exactly now when the price is growing and people would like to sell.

cryptsy also trades YAC currently (it's back!), but it doesn't have the same crazy price spikes as bter.com.

Christian

I didn't have much luck finding any info reading back through the thread. But how does the 480 gtx, 580 gtx and 660 ti fair as far as yac coin mining goes? I have 2 480 gtx's 2 580 gtx lightnings and a 660 ti i wouldn;t mind repurposing over to ya coin.

Well, Kepler is way better and more efficient at it compared to Fermi, but you can still give it a try.
Personally, I'd resell the older cards and get a boatload of 660ti 4gb, 760 4gb and/or 750ti 2gb's.
If you get more cards for sli, then it would be pretty for gaming whilst being better for mining.
Or do like Christian and grab Asus 760 Mars cards (and better cooling!)

I thought about selling them off, but i've had them for so long and until january of this year i was running the 480 gtx's in my main machine since i bought them in 2010. I went through 15 480 gtx's binning them for over clocking runs in vantage. LOl all my stuff has a story or something behind it. And i hate having the hardware sitting unused, i can pull about 1.2 m/hash on scrypt with the 2 480's and 580's in a rig.

I've already started speccing out an order of 6 750 ti's as i'm liking what i see.

Currently I have 3 r9 290x's 4 7970's and a 5970 all mining scrypt. I was thinking the nvidia cards would be good for yacoin as i see it as an untapped market atm with a nice low difficulty. plus if i can squeeze 14-18 k/hash out of the 5 nivida cards it looks liek that would net .05 btc a day roughly. about what i'm making with 6 m/hash of scrypt. lol

I looked at the google doc spread sheets, but not sure which one relates to yac coin. I'm assuming its the nfactor 14 listing?

my 660ti has 3gb
the 580gtx are the lighting 3gb editions (bad ass cards in sli they have about the same performance as one 780 ti in gaming)
the 480 gtx are reference models with 1.5 gb of ram each

I've been using the 12-10 release of cuda miner for scrypt mining as that had previously given me the best hashes. I see now with the newer releases alot of the command lines have changed.

Quite the bencher eh? me too...what's your hwbot user? Mine is duh, ivanlabrie :p

never got on HWBot. But you can find me on overclock.net Same username.

During my benching heydays this was my basement. Man how i wish i used all those cards to mine bitcoin at the time. i didn't even know it existed till this year. lol
