29   ShadowCash ShadowCash   $ 796,971   $ 0.123617   6,447,100 SDC *   $ 2,912   18.62 %

This is what a successful coin is all about, If you build it they will come. Slowly but surely our price moves upward, Which is a reflection of the quality of the coin, its community, its tech, and its dev's.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SDC] Shadow | 1st OS Stealth Address | iOS+Android Staking | PoS-SPV | HTML5 on: November 22, 2014, 08:26:44 PM
Yeah, you saw now skip60,   we would skip all "anons" very fast   Grin
Moonday is near  Wink

i shared it because noone else shares such things, then they get disappear on irc

better dev team shares, it will be more formal

What I noticed, dev/team always waiting for the final product. It this case waiting for main/livenet
After that we will see all in the service of PR and Marketing.
And "fresh blood" know that for sure.

The question you always need to ask is: how are the devs going to make their money? The answer to every other question can be found within this one.

If the devs are the big holders, they have absolutely no interest in a sudden dump at this stage that trashes the price of their holdings. Same for any other big holder.

If the devs are not big holders, they're going to make their money by being devs: consulting, writing custom platforms that use the coin, etc. This will only have value if the coin is popularized through its features.

The interesting thing about the Shadowchat is that the big wallets have probably already communicated with one another, #1 says to #2 "Dude, who are you, and what are your plans?" They are the ones who have the responsibility for distribution, and with conservative, coordinated selling they can distribute the coin in such a way that its value increases faster than their wallets deplete. Everybody wins that way.

Very well stated, and aptly put.

Yeah i loves regular updates was only commenting on the distribution, but that said they are busy i would rather progress my self but would be awesome if we had a community member who could constantly be in contact with them to update us and keep the new investors happy and confident, Smurf does a good job but would love to see more frequent updates.  but we can't have it all i have seen dev teams who constantly updated but basically did nothing so at least we have progress and innovation and a lot of it, there will come a point in time for SDC where people will not need constant updates to buy with confidence, i hope it's soon, but until then at least we have one of the best Dev teams in the business who constantly deliver and have a vision for there products future, if in the future they do advertisement like they do development we have nothing to worry about.

I do my best. Smiley

That being said progress, is progressing, the next revision is being tweaked. Big improvements are in the ease of use and automation based on the feedback received so far. Also fixing some of the syncing issues that trouble select people.

In the meantime if you have syncing issues:
Once synced, if you can keep it running as close to 24/7 as possible It should eliminate all the syncing issues. Granted this is feasible for everyone, but its currently the only surefire way i know to have zero problems syncing. Mine has been going strong for 3 1/2 months with only small downtimes when i need to restart the machine for updates.

Everyone should take a look at some of the supernet newsletters and see just what awesome things they are doing  Smiley
Agreed...but I think this thread should be a relatively shill free zone.
Even I manage to post here without mentioning Nxt on every single line.
well technically you did as its in your signature. Wink
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [SCAM] BLOCKNET: The Metcalf/Prom Alt-Coin Cartel Scam Exposed on: November 18, 2014, 09:40:45 PM
Did xc ever post a detailed list of their expenses from the premine like they promised?

No one will answer that question in the main XC thread

I don't believe so.  There was a generalized list which mentioned 5-8 different types of expenses but no solid numbers or break down that I am aware of.

I've been following this saga from the sidelines.  And this is what I don't understand.

XC sold off the pre-mine (a large portion RIGHT before launching blocknet) then stated they had overlooked giving a detailed account like they promised to begin with.  They promise to come forward with detailed accounting for the funds shortly.

And NOW it appears they have no such intentions.  Rather to quote Dan "There is an organized FUD campaign against us".

It's like - since they think people are being mean to them it gives them the right to ignore their promises of transparency?  The more they can demonize the opposition with character assassination remarks the more they can distract from the failure to honor their word in hopes that with enough time the clamor for transparency will go away (it already largely has).

The "reporting" on this in allowing the XC guy to write an article against the XC "FUD" was as objective as letting Spotniek author an article.  I can't believe the joke reporting that goes on.

I'll just say that based on how "the team" is treating their own commitment and their own community there is much here that no one knows about and that they don't want them to know about.  The PR guys latest attempts at demonizing XC hodlers who've asked legitimate questions has also been beyond impressive.  Very similar to how the Moolah CEO acted.

If you wanted my cynical opinion - I'd say Arlyn's latest sega of going from uber friendly handholding PR guy to the snark on long time hodlers is indicative of the fact that "the team" no longer has anything to gain (or very little) from XC's continued development.  They've sold the pre-mine and now it is a pointless drain on their time that they have to keep up for appearance sake.

Expect a few more releases, things to get quieter in the thread (already started happening) as they try to put the hodlers to sleep quietly.  All without ever having to open source the code.

Then again ... maybe that's just the cynic inside of me talking.  But anyone who hasn't noticed an attitude shift from the XC team hasn't been paying attention.

It all started when Smurf took screen caps of his conversation with Prometheus and leaked it to his inner circle.
Those screen caps triggered the domino effect that eventually almost destroyed Blocknet, XC and Metcalf. Not Prom - he's insulated.

There was no leaking to an inner circle. Unless you count the sdc team as the inner circle. I passed on the info as prom asked me to when he approached me about getting sdc to join blocknet.

There were plenty of other suspicious things about blocknet/xc and dan that other people were questioning long before any skype convos were posted. The blow up over the non transparency of the xc premine was already in full swing.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SDC] Shadow | 1st OS Stealth Address | iOS+Android Staking | PoS-SPV | HTML5 on: November 18, 2014, 09:24:18 PM
Loading the Android wallet- looks like it's syncing up to about 60K blocks left and freezing up. Good wifi connection. Normal, or do I need to do something with my phone?

Sorry if this has already been asked & answered, long topic! Can't wait to start staking!

Truth be told, Android wallet sucks in my opinion.

If you have it running in the background, it will probably have syncing issues.

I do believe the devs are going to redesign the wallet with a friendlier UI and using their SPV code for faster syncing and smaller blockchain. Can't wait for that.

i am sure after ZK-snarks full release dev team will solve it

in my computer i am using lite wallet, and it works perfectly and sync very fast....so why not android wallet in the future

It might be nice to have the whole thing living on a SD card. That way there would be less of a problem with blockchain size, and you could swap cards and move your wallet to a new phone. Maybe even trade the cards as a form of physical SDC.

mobile wallets are getting an upgrade once the zk comes out of public testing. No sense upgrading the mobile wallets without incorporating ZK into them.

No its not. Now your lack of intelligence really shows here, all you have to do is look at the github and you can trace back the code sdc->blackcoin->novacoin->bitcoin. You should try actual research before spouting out nonsense.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SDC] Shadow | 1st OS Stealth Address | iOS+Android Staking | PoS-SPV | HTML5 on: November 17, 2014, 04:23:40 PM
Price going up.
0.00032525

whether to reach
0.00078 ?

if zk snarks is realeased and flaws can be quickly fixed we are talking .1 not .00078

Can't guarantee for the 0.1,  but i think the technology is gonna work Smiley.

0.00078 have ANC who never update anything in almost 1.5 year, coins stucked at exchanges,
nothing is working there. Only good is wiki what lunokhod made, and promises from devs!

SDC could/should reach 0.05 in few months, in my opinion.

I agree. And I am still blown away by the anc tweet. What a bunch of awesome dudes!

The anc guys are a good group.

So, I just went through the web page, and read through twenty+ pages of this thread, and can not figure out what sdc is promising in terms of "zk". If you could excuse me for my laziness for not digging deeper, could someone respond to three quick questions?

1. With the beta that is being tested now, are the devs planning on implementing Zerocash, Zerocoin, or something else?
2. If Zerocash, how do you set up the security parameters? This requires trusted third parties.
3. If Zerocoin, how do you set up the security parameters? Do you use RSA UFOs? If so, how where these generated, and what is their bit length?

Thanks.

I'm with you!

Can someone give a decent explanation of how this anon system is unique as opposed to hyping it up like every other coin in the universe?

This hasnt been hyped, its been worked on for months now, you just only followed hype coins while this was developing its obvious because you are just now checking out shadow and its tech due to high volume. Shadow has never been about hype its been about tech, and shadow has delivered many Crypto 1st, just go back and read yourself. To many people have question that can simply be answered by reading, very lazy people here in cryptoland

The guy says he has read 20+ pages and doesn't understand still - why can't anyone explain?

You cannot expect people to adopt something when they do not understand why it is unique/what the benefits are.

I was talking more to you then lunokhod2,( as its fairly obvious he has done his homework and actually understands the material that we are dealing with) as for his questions I believe the white paper will answer those with its coming release.

Your posts are insulting.

I don't think my questions are unreasonable - I am trying to work out the difference between this anon system and BTC/DarkCoin/ZeroCoin but all I got was hype responses.

Thanks for your welcoming community spirit CryptoChronic  Wink

i would happily answer your question but your activity on your account does not suggest your serious considering you know about darkcoin,XC,Zerocoin. use your real account and i shall answer it

Long time lurker - Date Registered: December 03, 2013, 11:34:09 AM

What a strange accusation!???

Man there are some weird people in this thread....

Thanks smurf for being helpful

date registered 2013 activity 2 looks like your the smurf, you must be a real rookie thinking that you can only create one account on here lol use your real account

Paranoid much?

In all fairness most newbie accounts are just alt/troll accounts, at least recently anyway. I try and treat everyone equally until proven otherwise. Really though the best answers are in irc, plus the feedback is much more immediate.

Glad to have you on board, welcome.

i asked the same type questions a week or so ago and was told to go ask at irc and some other website. maybe someone has a direct link as i'm sure this gets asked a lot. they should have a wiki faq or something.

There is a wiki link in the OP, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=745352.0

Fantastic job guys!! Wow I'm so amazed you actually performed zero with ring. Excellent job. Wishing the best in your BETA. Was holding Shadow since day one.

Let me elaborate. ANYONE reading this thread, drop what you are doing and buy this coin. It will pass DRK. Absolutely fantastic. Selling this coin before it breaks top 10 is a big mistake.

Thanks for the comments, glad to have ya on board. Smiley
