AMBERCOIN

Planos da empresa a curto e médio prazo:
Sector real:

(1 a 3 meses)
(2 a 3 meses)

703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] $XQN Quotient Financial Network | PoW Scrypt, PoS Blake-256 | UPDATE NOW on: January 31, 2015, 12:51:58 PM
@Pr0ph3t:

There are plenty of differences between the two.

Very briefly:
 - XQN had a short mining period, followed by high stake %, later capped to a much smaller max reward (still the same % though). It has some neat wallet statistics & graphs, and some very special features down the road (algorithmic trading is my personal favorite).
 - XAI had no mining at all. It was distributed by crowd funding, it's pure PoS and has a small stake reward %. XAI aims to bring AI into the blockchain, rewarding holders by staking and earning fees for services provided via AI backbone. A testnet with the initial communications framework for XAI should be up within the next couple of days.

If you're really interested in learning more, there's a lot to read up on, including the dev's public profile, roadmaps & a few videos. I could not make justice to these 2 projects in a single forum post... Cheers!

Awesome update CedricQuotient,

The fees look to be relatively small, in the sense that it does not look prohibitively expensive to spam the blockchain. Or perhaps I'm not grasping the full implementation details, and the data held by slave nodes doesn't go into the blockchain at all.
Can you expand a little on how you reached these figures concerning fees, or if this is still largely open to revision once the testnet has provided some sample usage metrics?

Looking forward to running a system on the testnet!  Wink

Anyone holding XQN, even if they don't have any direct investment in XAI, should keep a close eye on XAI developments. It is XAI that acts as the backbone to the most important features on XQN. Considering the broad scope of features on the horizon, development is moving quite fast, even if that's not immediately apparent.

@olycoin:

There's been some progress on the Mac Wallet update (most discussions were on slack), and I understand that there is effectively a working version for Mac already. IIRC, the release was just postponed so that the Mac build would include the very latest code additions. I'm certain that you'll get a proper Mac release very soon.

@CedricQuotient: Please post the Mac Wallet download, even if just the version that's missing the very latest update (the smarter stake management). This would at least allow Mac users to continue staking.

Happy Staking!

It's "quark" the algorithm that's most profitable, not necessarily "quark" the coin. Your math also casually failed to note that the quark hashrate on Nvidia is about double that of x11. Enough tips already!  Grin

How do you split coin blocks? I'm also new to this too.
Thanks

Hi Izador.

To split coin blocks, you need to enable the coin control features (wallet > settings > options > display > display coin control features). Then select one block at a time, and send it to yourself, adding your (same) address as the 'custom change address'.

So say you start by selecting a 1000 XQN block. You then send yourself a transaction of 500 XQN, but specifying the change address as your own as well. Once you hit send, you will be splitting that 1000 XQN block into 2x 500, a primary transaction, plus change, back to your original address.

If you still have any questions on how this is achieved, let us know, or ask around at Freenode IRC #quotient, might be easier to just explain this over a chat session.

Happy Staking!

Thanks Myagui, understood! btw whats UTXOs?

UTXO stands for "Unspent Transaction Output". Assuming you have the wallet's 'coin control' feature enabled, when you click on 'send', 'inputs', each set of coins on the list that you get is one UTXO. Most people refer to these as just their "coin blocks".  Smiley

Hey CryptShark.

There's no such thing as a stupid question  Smiley
Yes, the staking rewards dropped. The stake % is the same as before, but the maximum reward per stake is much smaller now. Was 618 before, and it is 16.18 now. For best results, you need to split your coin blocks (or more correctly, UTXOs  Roll Eyes) into much smaller sizes than before, say around 500 to 1000 XQN tops. You need to be running the latest wallet as well.

Happy Staking!

717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] $XQN Quotient Financial Network | PoW Scrypt, PoS Blake-256 | UPDATE NOW on: January 11, 2015, 11:39:03 PM
@skeakgeekz:

Hey there, welcome to the party!
I'm afraid I don't have much to offer in ways of helping you though. The wallet has always worked just fine for me, without any setting up of configuration file or anything, just straight off connected and sync'ing properly. Have you checked your firewall settings? That's really the 1st suspect when not reaching any connections.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] $XQN Quotient Financial Network | PoW Scrypt, PoS Blake-256 | UPDATE NOW on: January 09, 2015, 11:02:42 PM
Yes kyma, there was a recent update that changed the maximum stake reward from 618 to 16.18 XQN. I suppose that's the change you're wondering about. You need to be running the latest wallet in order to continue staking, and preferably, split your coins into smaller inputs. Best to read the last couple of pages on the thread for a bit more information...

Happy Staking!
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] $XQN Quotient Financial Network | PoW Scrypt, PoS Blake-256 | UPDATE NOW on: January 09, 2015, 08:03:27 PM
The graph seems to show the precise trigger of the latest release, before = high stakes up to 618 XQN, after = capped stakes up to 16.18. The graph source might have been updated late though (as in, showing forked data for some of the time range). Nope. Looks good.
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] $XQN Quotient Financial Network | PoW Scrypt, PoS Blake-256 | UPDATE NOW on: January 08, 2015, 05:19:45 PM
@pisko:

You need to update your wallet to the latest version (check the OP). Stakes generated by earlier wallet versions will only be staking "orphans", meaning, too large stakes, that will be refused by the network. In addition, I would recommend splitting your inputs to 500~1000 XQN tops. Even then, they will hit the new cap, 16.18 XQN reward.
With the current difficulty, and for the amount of coins you are holding, 3 days without staking is perfectly normal. It is much tougher to get a stake now, not just for you, but for everyone holding XQN.

Happy Staking!
