701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much do you Value your Privacy in Gambling? on: October 21, 2023, 10:33:29 AM
I make sure I add something to the verification documents to track back the source, if that information is re-used by the receiver. That way, I can use that as evidence in a court case, if I have to do that. (water marked or changed back drops or small text or markers)

You do not have any guarantee that they will not misuse your information or that they will track you down, but you can protect yourself, if they misuse that information.  Wink
702  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake phishing on: October 21, 2023, 10:27:12 AM
Sorry guys but I don't know what you are still arguing about! It's obvious that OP has been scammed but it appeared that stake has nothing to do with this scam. What are you still arguing about?
I'm not going to read the replies on the past eight pages but am sure this topic doesn't deserve such attention
. OP should change the topic's title to make it more appropriate as stake has nothing to do with whatever happened to him.

Well, I am glad he unlocked the thread again, because a new Phishing attack was launched in the same time that the post monthly was given out. These attacks are timed perfectly to trick people, when something are officially dropped by Stake. (Stake has nothing to do with this, but the scammers jump on the opportunity to confuse people, when there are other bonuses being dropped)  Angry

So, reminding people regularly about these Phishing attacks are a good idea... and it should be done more often. We need some "White hat" hacker groups to go after these scammers, so that they are held responsible for their actions.

703  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2023-10-20 Barrons - A Bitcoin ETF Looks Inevitable. Here’s the Playbook on: October 21, 2023, 10:18:53 AM
I think this scenario are very similar to the affect that the Halving has on the Bitcoin price. By the time when the actual Halving happens, most of the price increase has already been "priced in" ...because people knew that the event would happen.

So, the ETF approval will have the same affect... where the perception will be that it will be approved and people will buy early to get cheaper coins, before the price increase.  Roll Eyes
704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am 19 years old boy living in South korea. Please give me an advice on: October 21, 2023, 10:13:36 AM
My best advice to you is not to buy when the price is high... just buy low and sell high. A lot of people will buy say $50 of bitcoins every month and that would be fine, but at what price are they buying?

I would buy a small amount of bitcoins every month, say $30 and save $20 worth of cash to buy when there are a dip in the price. Use $50 on your self, because I think your Dad gave it to you for a reason... not just to buy bitcoins.  Wink
705  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Join Me in Shaping the Future of AI - A Pathway to Financial Prosperity + on: October 20, 2023, 06:45:13 AM
A long article, more than 1000 characters, and we did not spoil anything or obtain useful information. This is enough reason to abandon your project. Try to give a simple idea, without meaningless details and a brief explanation of your idea.
You will not get any support because you are collecting several terms without adding anything useful.

I’m sorry you feel that way. It’s unfortunate that some people aren’t as educated as others. But as my post clearly states I’m looking for educated professionals that have similar knowledge as I do. You clearly aren’t nearly qualified. With that being said your opinion means as much as you mean. Nothing . I wish you the best and I’m truly sorry you can’t comprehend. Take care buddy .

This reply is a typical response from a narcissistic and arrogant individual and I do not care if you have a Bachelor's degree or a Honours or a  Master's degree and lots of Doctoral degrees.... you are a human just like all of us.

I also have several qualifications and I have done lots of successful projects, but I will never look down on other people like you did.

Yes, the latest hype in the IT industry are surely AI, but most new companies just join like sheep. Do we need AI to take over our lives and our jobs?

I consulted in a project for the medical industry, where AI are involved ...and it worked like a charm.... but several people lost their jobs. AI can solve a lot of problems and it can make life very convenient... but there are disadvantages and risks that should not be ignored.

Sorry, even if your project are one of the most innovative and groundbreaking out there.... I cannot work with people with an attitude like yours.  Roll Eyes
706  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the fall of Elon Musk's empire imminent? on: October 20, 2023, 06:20:08 AM
Elon Musk is a self-made Billionaire ....that came from nothing or rather from a middle class home and he went to the top. He did this through hard work, not from money that he got from his rich parents or some rich uncle.  Roll Eyes

Twitter is just one of his successful businesses, he still has businesses like SpaceX and Tesla and the PowerWall and Starlink and several investments in other businesses. We know his decision to buy Twitter was controversial and I think he was pushed into a corner to buy it, so now he is doing everything to re-brand it and to re-build it into something that might be much better. (This is taking a lot of money and time will tell if X will turn into Zero)  Tongue
707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: October 20, 2023, 06:07:53 AM
Most people are not 100% busy at work, because you only stay active.. if there are work that needs to be done. So, I see no issue with people gambling or playing Chess or Solitaire or whatever in their idle time.

It is a whole other matter when you have work to do and you gamble and it influences your performance and productivity.  Roll Eyes We are even encouraged to play online Chess at work, because it stimulates your brain and improves your strategic thinking abilities. (obviously when there are no work)  Tongue
708  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: October 20, 2023, 05:59:51 AM
Well, I see the Post-Monthly are out guys..... !!

This is actually a very early Post Monthly, so I guess Stake.com are doing well. Just watch out, because I see there are a Phishing link out too, so make sure you click on the link that are coming from the official Stake.com and not some scammer.  Roll Eyes

I am still waiting for the marketing team to acknowledge that there are a Rugby and Cricket World Cup being hosted.... all the drops and promotions are just for American Football or the NBA.  Roll Eyes
709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is different from other means of investment on: October 20, 2023, 05:30:54 AM
I also doubt if property investments in War torn countries are advisable, because Insurance companies do not cover damage that were done in times of War. I see all those buildings going down in the Ukraine and in Gasa and I wonder how those people are going to re-build after the war is over.  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin cannot be destroyed by any means, because it is decentralized all over the world and kept safe on the Blockchain. Yes, telecommunication networks can go down, but when it is restored.... Bitcoin will continue as usual.  Grin
710  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Stacker.news a website where posts are ranked with bitcoin instead of upvotes ! on: October 19, 2023, 06:39:24 AM
I think the idea are flawed...

So, rich people will control the quality or whatever content that are posted? Is that not what are happening with mass media today, where super rich people own large amounts of shares in media companies and thus control the content that are pushed through that media...?

Yes, I understand the goal is not to give rich people the control to censor content, but rather to improve the quality of the content that are posted, but it is unfortunately one of the disadvantages of a "quality control" system like that.  Sad
711  Economy / Economics / Re: If USA Will Be In The War - Government Can Confiscate All Bitcoins + Blockchain on: October 19, 2023, 06:20:51 AM
Yes, this can happen to people ...if they store their Bitcoin (Crypto Currencies) in centralized services. We saw this when Executive Order 6102 required all persons in the USA to deliver gold coins, Gold bullion, and Gold certificates owned by them to the Federal Reserve in exchange for $20.67 (equivalent to $467 in 2022) per troy ounce. (1933) - Read more about this here ==> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executive_Order_6102

So, it is very important that you keep control over your own Private keys and that you do not store your coins on ANY centralized services that can be targeted by a government.  Wink Cool Cool Cool
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is bigger than the government reason my Gov tried to blackmail bitcoin on: October 19, 2023, 06:12:27 AM
A government will "allow" something, if they can control it and if it is advantageous to them. Governments accepted traditional Fiat currencies, because they control it's supply (Money printers) and it's worth (inflation basket)

Bitcoin are not being controlled by any country and the supply of Bitcoin are fixed in the Bitcoin protocol and open markets, so most governments see no advantage for them to accept it. You will find that some governments allow it, but they found something that they could use.. example : circumventing sanctions and uncensored cross border transfers.  Roll Eyes
713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changed the game you gamble on? share your story. on: October 19, 2023, 05:41:37 AM
Is it the game you started playing as a gambler that you still play till now? Is there any gambler in this place who was used to playing a particular game before but never was successful winning or did not win enough and then made up their mind that it was time for a change in the game you gamble on. Which game did you change from, and what did you change to? how long did you play the game that you are deciding to stop playing because of the bad outcomes?

I used to play a lot of the Pragmatic Games, but I feel these games were nerf'ed... and you win a lot less on them ..these days. I now play a lot of the "Relax Gaming" slots and also "Hacksaw Games" ...if I have a good gambling budget. Hacksaw games have high volatility, but when you win something, it usually are big.

I also like to play games, just after they have been released.... thinking that a lot of players are pushing money into it, but I know this is just a myth... Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
714  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: October 19, 2023, 05:35:30 AM
I do not know if you guys noticed that the same people are winning the Slot Hunts on a daily basis... just skipping the 24 hour period that are placed as a restriction, but still winning it on a continued basis. (Kartenst..... Losk... itzcen.... Randyfla..... fill in the gaps) - Go check the Stake community forum to confirm what I am observing.  Huh

They must have discovered the "secret sauce" or something fishy are happening with the Slot Hunt. The multiplier are quite difficult to hit, but most of their hits happen within a few minutes from the start of the Slot hunt.

I stopped playing the Slot Hunt, because I feel something is off .... I hope they are winning the Slot Hunt, without having to cheat... but we will never know.  Tongue

Disclaimer : This is just an observation .... not any evidence of people cheating.  Roll Eyes
715  Economy / Economics / Re: A dog that vomited and then ate the vomit again on: October 18, 2023, 07:25:36 AM
The answer is simple...... Warren Buffett built his empire on old financial investment tools and he has massive shares in Berkshire Hathaway. They will never promote something that are in competition for investors money that can be invested in their investment firm or the traditional investment options that they offer.

Warren Buffet and his employees come from the old school education system... where they do not teach you about Crypto currencies.. so they will criticize everything that oppose their knowledge framework.  Roll Eyes
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: October 18, 2023, 06:35:17 AM
Well, it kind of depends on how much I win. Let's say I won something really significant and I can invest that into something else that can generate some good profit... then I would do that and take some of those profits to gamble more.

On the other hand, if it is a smaller Jackpot... I would most likely just continue gambling in search for the massive win. I make a point of it to withdraw a small amount, when I do win something small.... just to cover a lunch or a dinner to reward myself.  Grin Grin Grin
717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about trading feature? on: October 18, 2023, 06:29:09 AM
It is actually not "trading" ..but rather price prediction betting that are on offer. I saw this on Freebitco.in and I even tried a few times.. but with Bitcoin being so volatile, casinos seem to have the edge over the people that are betting on it.  Tongue

A lot of these gambling sites are trying to be innovative and they are trying to stay ahead of the competition, by offering something that are "out-of-the-box" like this.

I like anything that will keep me interested in a site..... stuff like this.  Grin
718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Misleading Report on SEC Decision Shakes Bitcoin Market on: October 18, 2023, 06:17:21 AM
Maybe they spread the false news on purpose to liquidate the short sellers?
Haha in that case they are doing the Hodlers a favor. Only idiots short bitcoin.

Well, that..... or they pulled a Elon Musk with his Twitter posts about Shiba and Dodgecoin.  Roll Eyes  Now, they are blaming an Intern for this mess and probably going to sack the person for it.  Roll Eyes

It just shows us how the media can misuse it's power for whatever agenda that they are pushing. In any way.. the damage is done and some people lost and gained some money.  Roll Eyes
719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife. on: October 18, 2023, 06:10:17 AM
I once, gave my brother some Bitcoin for his birthday... but he was not very interested. I printed a Paper Wallet and I transferred some Bitcoin to it and gave it to him for his birthday.

I monitored the Bitcoin address for a few months and I saw he transferred it to a local exchange, so I asked him and he confirmed that he needed some money... so he converted it to cash.. and used it.  Sad
720  Economy / Economics / Re: In times of war, Gold rises. What about Bitcoin? on: October 17, 2023, 06:21:22 AM
I think large institutional investors still see Bitcoin as a store of value, with too much short term volatility. They do not want to lock in their investors money and then wait a few years for the Bitcoin price to recover or to reach a new "all-time-high"  Roll Eyes

They want something like Gold that are giving them long-term steady growth in the price. On the other hand, some smaller individual investors might want to exit from the "government" controlled ...centralized financial system, during a war.... because those institutions become an ideal target for the enemy. (It is safer to store your wealth on a decentralized Blockchain that are not controlled by any governments)

The people fleeing their country, might also temporarily use "Bitcoin" to store their wealth.... because they know if it is stored in a Bank or on themselves, then it might get confiscated or blocked by their own government. (Bank runs)  So it is better to cross the border, with your wealth stored on the Blockchain.  Wink
