7021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regulators in Israel Eye Crypto to Give Traditional Trading a Big Boost on: March 10, 2019, 04:22:13 PM
Of all the countries out there, who would have thought that Israel is very open about crypto?  Grin

I echo the sentiments of most posters here, it seems that they know what they're doing and the good part is that they're trying to attract investors and one thing to do that is through regulating crypto trading. So this is another boost for us and maybe in the next 5 years, we will see Israel as one crypto hub because of its strict but very lenient crypto regulations.

7022  Other / Off-topic / Re: Cryptocurrency is one of the means of money laundering in Russia on: March 10, 2019, 04:05:14 PM
Russia is the first country that globally accepts bitcoin

Lol, are you kidding? Up to know Russia is still on the gray area as far as crypto is concern. The worst thing is that they kept on contradicting themselves whether they're going to support crypto or not.

Maybe this is one reason why Russia doesn't want crypto, because the government knows that it's because used by criminals for drugs and money laundering. Just remember the BTC-e case.  Grin
7023  Economy / Economics / Re: UnionBank Crypto ATM To Launch On March 08 on: March 10, 2019, 03:52:01 PM
They say it is also one of the best when converting Paypal money back into cash. The transaction fees are way lower than other banks.

Hmmm. This could be a big step for Philippines. Electronic withdrawal and also they have been really lively with online currencies.
Just one thing though since I cannot open the link yet.
Are they not being questioned by the Philippine government since the money laundering act is being strengthen by them?
I mean it could be a possible way for an escape route of government officials.

I'm sure that they have work it out somewhat with the BSP - Central Bank of the Philippines that's why they have been into this crypto sphere since last year. Philippine government is very lenient as far as crypto and that's the main reason why there's a lot of blockchain/crypto related going on in the country.

I agree with @Indamuck, that's the only drawback I can see as far as crypto ATM is, the exorbitant fees. There's a lot of alternatives like localbitcoins.
7024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin matured as a currency? on: March 10, 2019, 02:13:46 PM
it certainly did mature , but way far off from being a fiat substitution
although  adoption has increased dramatically and the number of bitcoin ATM and places where you can buy things for bitcoin directly grown tenfold compared to the past years
it is not enough to dethrone fiat and VISA /Mastercard sweet duo
mainly because of the slow transactions and extremely low transactions per second number
while bitcoin struggles to get 10 transactions per second , VISA is doing tens of thousands
Lightning network should alleviate this problem to some extent , but will not be able to solve it completely
not in the near future at the very least

Exactly, I guess those who is claiming that bitcoin can replace fiat, it won't really happen and it won't make fiat obsolete as well.

You give one good example here, and it seems that it's going hard for bitcoin to overcome it. Even if you paid the highest fee for one transaction, still you have to wait for several minutes/hours before your transaction can even get 1 confirmations. Maybe LN will be the solution, let's see.
7025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 146: Lewis vs Dos Santos Prediction and Info Thread on: March 10, 2019, 08:58:21 AM
Yes, that impressive and glad to see JDS back again in the discussions in the heavyweight division. They really put up a good game plan here, using his kicks to soften Lewis and have some distance and then go for the kill is the opportunity is offered. Congrats to Cigano.
7026  Economy / Speculation / Re: Current Bitcoin Price prediction on: March 09, 2019, 04:23:01 PM
Basically I was thinking the $3900 area would be the recent top since it was the last weeks high and it struggled a few times to break above.

However the dump we had a few hours ago was quickly bought up, very quickly in fact. Which leads me to believe we might be testing the $4000-$4200 area next.

I would like to see the $4200 area break with good volume and then we can safety say that we "might" of seen the bottom.

I'm not sure if we could say that we have seen the bottom if we broke that $4200 mental barrier again.

That what my thought a few weeks ago, we marches toward $4200 but what a dump soon after. We hope this time if ever we hit it again, at least be sustainable, but I wouldn't be surprised if those speculators 'bot' put another selling pressure and cause the momentum to stop and we are back to the square one again.
7027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ENJ] ENJIN Price Speculation on: March 09, 2019, 04:18:45 PM
Since support by Samsung. This coin has good future. Maybe only when company like google, apple etc make their own coin then ENJ would be under stiff competetion. Else, only sky is barrier.

Lol, what do mean? It doesn't have any correlation whatsoever. Not just because Samsung support it means that the coin has a future.

I believed that the people behind Enjin is working hard and they it a jackpot when Samsung included them in their crypto wallet. But they still need to developed the coin and not just all the hype and pump-and-dump because of this news.
7028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long does Ico last? on: March 09, 2019, 04:12:04 PM
Depends on the project itself. If it performed good during the ICO phase then it will be very successful and possible that bounty hunters are going to be paid.

I previously joined a bounty that last 6-8 weeks if I'm not mistaken and ended in August. It's one of the successful projects this year, but it took the project 8 months to paid us. Nevertheless, I didn't mind because it reaches almost 100% (hard cap) so I don't have doubts about this project.

But if the project didn't even get to it's softcap then expect a bit longer specially that we're in the bear market as well.

Nice to meet you Sarah.

However, we here in the community wanted to stay as anonymous as we can so I doubt you will see someone introducing themselves in your thread and telling their real names. Anyways, good luck in your journey and I hope you meet a lot of new friends here in the community.

As far as twitter is concern, I think we have threads before with the "you follow me, I'll follow you" thingy here. You may want to search it so that you can have a lot of followers specially crypto related.
7030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: March 09, 2019, 03:06:24 PM
Anyways, any update of the eye problem Manny suffered during the Broner fight? It is completely healed? I'm asking because maybe this could be a problem for Manny if even there will be a rematch with Floyd in the future.

Also Manny strength's conditioning coach give his opinion on the rematch.

No updated about the status of his eye injury but looking at how his eyes shape after his last fight. I'm sure the eye will worse than his team saying and this will be the reason why we haven't hear anything about it by now.
Meanwhile, I dont see him and Floyd having a rematch.
Because manny is too busy for campaigning now thats why he has no time for any issue outside politics as he was a full supporter of the administration candidates

I have seen Manny in camoaign weeks ago and i can assure that he is better and that eye injury is just a nothing but normal fight injury

We cannot just assessed or be sure if Manny's eye is normal just by looking at it. Fighters goes on a rigid medical test before their actual fight so we will see if it really heals completely or not.

Maybe Manny is busy on the campaigns in the Philippines but I'm sure if the eye is good (hopefully) as you have said then we will see him fight, but I doubt it will be Mayweather though.
7031  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Ponzi schemes are called "Ponzi" on: March 09, 2019, 02:18:41 PM
You've shared an interesting fact on where ponzi term was originated. How sad that it was Charles Ponzi who introduced that kind of act. Though I believe that nowadays, ponzi scheme are widely happening. Many people are still not aware that they are being scammed.
I believe, aside from what Charles did, there are still so many ways how this ponzi scheme being perform. Networking is included on that.

Whatever form or shape it is, Ponzi scheme is just a way to scammed people of their hard earn money. Others may call it Pyramiding or Networking but the output or the goal is the same. Recruit as many people as you can, entice them to invest lots of money and sign under you.

As I have said, this has been practiced before until Ponzi gave it a name, so just be careful and never blindly trust someone, specially if it involves investment and huge amount of money.
7032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to calculate the bottom of Bitcoin? on: March 09, 2019, 01:55:11 PM
Great. So your argument is based on the mining cost or the profitability of mining a bitcoin? We've heard so much about this argument already that most of the time we almost forgot about it or we just ignored this sort of arguments already.

It could be a factor but there are a lot of miners globally with different mining cost so it's really hard to accept your argument because obviously it has flawed in the beginning. Just enjoy the ride, if the price is in dip, then continue to stack up your wallet with bitcoin and wait for the next bull-run and stop focusing on the cost, etc. etc.

Ok thanks, that's what I'm expecting as well. I don't know if Manny is already backed in the Philippines or seeking medical attention on his eye. I thought I'm alone thinking that the injury is far worst than this team or handlers are portraying so good to know that I'm not alone with my speculations.

Anyways, we have seen Leonard with worst eye injury and he didn't return and took a retirement after that. But with advance medical technology of today, I do hope that Pacquiao will not met the same fate as Leonard is.
7034  Other / Off-topic / Re: Increase your twitter followers on: March 08, 2019, 05:41:02 PM
There are a lot of ways to increase your twitter followers,

But the question is, are they organic followers or just simply bots. What will happen if you audit for account and found out that most of your followers are not real? If you wanted to increase then post good tweets that is relevant and catchy and I'm sure your followers will grow overtime.

“I think Floyd may not be interested in another fight against Manny,” said Fortune to The Philippine Star.

“Manny looked good against Broner and maybe, Floyd’s not too keen on risking his undefeated record. That zero in Floyd’s record is important to him. To me, I don’t think it’s that important. Floyd hasn’t fought a real contender in a while. If the rematch doesn’t happen this year, it may not ever happen. If you wait until next year, they’ll be a year older. Floyd will be 43. Fans might lose interest in a rematch if they’re kept waiting too long.”
7036  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto Marketing on: March 08, 2019, 05:28:28 PM
Hi guys, is there anyone who can help me with marketing for a crypto exchange website?
Many thanks

Youre doing it right. You can hire a campaign manager here in the forum to help you with that. Theres a lot of eligible professional campaign managers here and the company their advertising is mostly become successful. Just find some of them in this on marketplace-services section, prepare some funds and make it start.

I don't know if the OP has comeback and really keen on marketing this new trading platform here.

But it seems that a lot have said the right thing so it's just a matter of execution specially signature campaigns promotions here. This is the most effective marketing tool to drive traffic for your new crypto exchange website. It might take some time for people to trust your website though.
7037  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reversal of Bear Market? on: March 08, 2019, 05:23:30 PM
Waiting for bull market  is really boring but we should believe  that will be coming later because this is the market  circle. From my personal  opinion  we are already in the bottomed because many altcoin already push 100% to 400% from the bottom.  And for Bitcoin  will be follow it later. More good news to come and this all thing can become trigger for bullish trend.

I really fascinated as how newest members really see the market as boring. Is this the first time you have seen a long bearish trend?

Altcoins will be altcoins, it doesn't have any correlation to the price of bitcoin since majority of them are just being used for pump-and-dump purposes.

And when you say boring, do you act like there's nothing you can do to make it more fun on your end? Or you just quit trading for good?
7038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO scammers, Sell your uploaded KYC ID documents, adress for a lot of money. on: March 08, 2019, 04:23:32 PM
I don't know if you guys heard about the Coinbase admittance:

https://cryptopotato.com/coinbase-executive-our-client-data-was-sold-by-third-party-providers/

So not just ICO scammers but it seems one of the best trading exchanges has sort of slipped up because the own that they hired that supposedly protect their clients data as selling it as well. So don't be surprised if our data ended up in the dark web and being used by others.
7039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enjin [ENJ] Coin Gains 400% in a Fortnight as Samsung Creates Euphoria in the Cr on: March 08, 2019, 04:15:13 PM
Crypto coins are now beginning to see the respect and attention they deserve. I think it's very important that a big company like Samsung is interested.

Right, if big companies like Samsung will be interested to support it, then I'm sure that in the next couple of years other mobile phones will have their own crypto wallet that will support majority of the top 10 coins so it will be a win win situation for us.

@dhemasm, I also didn't join the hype and it's really bad on my end. I was able to see the signs on Enjin in the early hype but I don't want to join the train and now look at what happen.  Cry
7040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trader Brutally Tortured on: March 08, 2019, 04:10:44 PM
I wonder how did they know that the person is a trader?
Unless the person post it on his social media or tell anyone around him there is no other way they would know,
And also if this was an inside job why would he be the target.

Those are criminals. Those people literally scanning potential victims and it's possible that the trader was in their radar and they have build a 'case' against him for months and they took sweet time to let the traders feels comfortable and then they attack. Gutless mofo, they should be really put behind bars for this crimes.
