8021  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What are the obstacles that lead to the failure of the project? on: May 15, 2018, 10:30:18 PM
For me failures are more on the psychological thingy. You may have the tools, the people behind you the budget. But if you yourself is not positive about the success of your project and has doubts sooner the project will not take off causing it to fail.

In life you have to be mentally tough, and no matter want problems is in front of you, if you fear that you can't overcome it then you will fail. It's not hard to see where the problem lies and see the solution, but if you try to execute the solution but at the back of your mind you feel that its not enough, eventually that solution will just lead to failure.
8022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: May 15, 2018, 10:14:23 PM
Anyone seen those bad habits of Chris Paul. He is really desperate to get that western conference finals. Referees never called even one.

Golden State taking the steal at Houston homecourt. Durant really made me Wow.

It is really different when it is at the Playoffs. Even Boston have to change the way they defend. A lot of switches justso they could match every star player.
KD is the best player of the game in Game 1. KD and Thompson are on fire at the game and Curry did what he must did although the 2 did more that made them win the game. They have neutralize the three-pointers of the Rockets and didn't made that many threes compare to Warriors. Moreover, only Harden is the only player who are moving that much. The rest are just standing base on some of their possessions. They must defend KD even more so that they have the chance to win game 2.
As I have said before, Kevin Durant is a big factor and he can get early and score, there's a high chance that the Warriors will win the game. He's the only consistent player from the 1st quarter up to the last minute, hitting clutch after clutch. We all notice how tight Chris Paul is, maybe he's really desperate to impress the crowd however, they are facing the best team in the West. It's really hard to play Kevin Durant because he's tall and can shoot and penetrate as well. And you can see that when there is a rotation, Durant always took advantage by making those fade away shots.

Yes that is what I said about CP3. By impressing the crown he is also losing the game and did not even notice it. He is too hot-headed and that is not how you should play in the Finals. He should really cool down and make the plays if he really want the ring.
That steal of Game 1 makes a huge difference in the confidence of the Houston team. Game 2 might become a snatch again.
Although Curry didnt make much points, just being there gives the team a huge confidence and also he did good in the rotation. He just keeps on moving, sometimes I dont even notice he is on the other side that fast.

I see that Curry and Klay has somewhat having a off-night. So I'm expecting the Splash brothers to pour on the next game. We all know that Durant is really capable of what he has shown us in their first game and I'm sure that he will continue to do so. It feels sad though that P.J. Tucker did everything do really control KD, but he is too good. It GSW can steal Game 2 then they dig themselves deeper. On CP3, I did he did choked on Game 1.
Curry had a single three pointer in the entire game which got me thinking that he isn’t all the fit since he returned from injury even despite that, the Warriors won the which make me believe that they are eventually going to win the Championship again this year.

Actually I noticed that when Curry came back to play after the injury, he was somewhat showing a so-so performance, still good but not the Curry that we all know just a few years ago. He and Klay was missing a lot of shots which they usually do make, its automatic to them.

I saw when Chris Paul was attempting to foul Durant while coming down with the ball from a rebound in his end of the court.
Didn't know he was such a dirty player.
He elbowed him while his back was turned away from him and got him in the back side then the back of his leg, which I think he was going for.
CP3 I think was hired as the muscle in which Houston was looking for.
More of an enforcer so in order to double team their opponents from what Harden is known for doing in drawing the fouls by doing questionable things during a game.

To muscle other players? I doubt it, he was too small to be a enforcer to begin with. He was really frustrated against Durant. He can't guard him, actually no one from Houston can. Used to see him watching those kind of antics while he was still in Clippers. For me its more of a frustration on his end though.
8023  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-13] Goldman Sachs Bitcoin Endorsement Leads Institutional Crypto Push on: May 14, 2018, 11:16:27 PM
Interesting to see Goldman Sach's effect on the price of bitcoin. We all know that when big institutional investors joins the bandwagon, the price is immediately pump just like we have seen in December.

But will it be sustainable in case the price pick up again?

We are fluctuating between $8300-$8700 so I don't know what will be the price if indeed this announcement will really bring change the sentiments of new investors to also join. So let's just wait and see if we are going to see another bull run or bull trap.
8024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: May 14, 2018, 10:21:35 PM
Here's an update about this upcoming fight. We all know already that Freddie Roach will not join the training camp of Senator Manny Pacquio for this fight. Aside from Buboy Fernandez, Senator Manny added Dodie Boy Peñalosa and Jon Peñalosa and in the team plus Nonito Donaire Sr (father of Fil-Am boxer Nonito Donaire Jr.) was also tapped to help Senator Manny to prepare for his fight with Matthysse.

For me those guys are 'old skool', No disrespect to Dodie Boy or Nonito Donaire Sr, but Manny has trained with Roach and made a lot of progress under his tutelage but shifting to Dodie and Donaire Sr. at this stage will not do good for Manny in my opinion. Don't get me wrong here, we all love Manny, but what new tricks this 2 can offer to Manny though?

This fight is so interesting especially for Manny Pacquioa who never fought for almost a year and so busy on his political life as Philippine Senator, I do hope to see more action on the boxing ring.

By the way did you know that Senator Manny Pacquioa would launch his own crypto currency you can read the details here.

Yes we all know that Manny had already get his hand on crypto as well. He is a famous sports figure and I lot of fans and I'm sure that this news was all in the radar even before the launch.
8025  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you believe May 2018 willbe the last time that Bitcoin price is under $10000 on: May 14, 2018, 09:59:38 PM
Maybe not $10.000  but something over $9.000 for sure, even tho I've said before I've had a huge feeling that there will be a spike in price mid may. Also, comparing to the past year(s), it might be possible to start going up steadily.

Yes, its possible that we can get over $9K before the end of May. Although we made a break out about 2 weeks ago, when the price suddenly pump to almost $10K, but its just artificial and then a lot of negativity coming from Warren Buffett and Bill Gates + Mt. Gox trustee dumping again causing the price to go below $9K.

We are now on a reset, so it's much better to take small steps and target $9K first and see if it's gonna hold or the price stabilizes before attempting again the $10K mark. There's one good positive news though, we are still in the Blockchain consensus week so probably another reason why the price has recovered following the down trend, but I don't think that it is enough to push the price to $10K again.
8026  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Addiction? on: May 14, 2018, 09:38:40 PM
Some people became addicted in crypto trading, especially those traders that are newly engage their experience in cryptocurrencies and they gain profits in a small period of time.
Yes earning profit in day trading makes some of users really addicted about bitcoin as they are making good profit from which they have become really followers of trading and they have strong faith about it that someday they will become rich and gradually millionaires with bitcoin day trading, I choose long term trading because I have found it easier and higher in profit than using day trading only so I think better to sue both as addiction and as job.

You can't be wrong with holding long term. Much easier for most of us, although it still involves risk, but knowing crypto currency, eventually we all know that by imploring this strategy, to don't need to exert effort as compare to day traders and less trouble.

But I will admit that at the beginning of my crypto trading journey, I was very addictive because I was learning the tricks in hope I will earn making good returns from my investment. But as I have matured, I spend less time and will just do trade if I feel doing it. So no pressure at all and I take all my losses in stride and move on.
8027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 14, 2018, 09:20:23 PM
Dominic Theim is waiting for the victor of todays upcoming match between Denis Shapovalov and Alexander Zverev to see who he will face off in the finals of this tournament right before the French Open begins.
Alot of big names will be back to play in Roland Garros. Hopefully Roger Federer and Andy Murray will come back and be in full health to bring an exciting tournament in Paris this year. Grin

Yesterday Shapovalov almost lost versus Edmund. If it wasn't for the person who shouted during the serve Edmund would of returned that shot and not have gone into a tie breaker in the second set. But the chair referee didn't call it a lay and awarded Denis with the ace. Lips sealed

So its looks like Thiem vs Zverev for the Madrid Open. Zverev has a easy game to go an get past Denis Shapovalov 6-4 6-1. I'm sure the Thiem is riding high on his win over Nadal, ending Rafa's unprecedented 21 match unbeaten streak on clay.

Also Shapovalov, did set a record in the losing effort, becoming the youngest player to reach SF in Madrid. But I will go for Zverev here, I don't know but I have the feeling that Thiem will choke on this one. (This is just my opinion!)

Congrats to Zverev!!!. I knew that he has a chance to go and win the tournament and although others put him as underdog because of Thiem's win against Nadal, Zverev game is almost perfect because he hasn't drop a set in this tournament.

Unfortunately for tennis fans, Federer chooses not to play in the clay upcoming tournaments, indicative that he still wants to continue playing competitive. He needs to remain healthy and motivated that is why he's been skipping tournaments.

Good to see Djokovic win, we do hope that this is a start for him to get back and have confidence again.
8028  Economy / Speculation / Re: Japan will decide BTC Price Monday Asia time Zone on: May 13, 2018, 11:58:44 PM
This is a fact of life. BTC/Yen is over 50 percent of volume. Technical Analyst say BTC will go down: The Japanese are technical unlike the cowboys in the Western World!
The trend is down: Tread carefully!

You are probably basing on the fact that Japan's bitcoin trade volume is really high, obviously because they have adopted and legalized bitcoin. But it doesn't mean they can control and manipulate the price.

Fortunately though, the price has started to really pick up even before Monday Asia time so I doubt that bitcoin price will go down as you have speculate. On the contrary, it may continue to go up as today is Monday morning on Japan and at the end of the day we can see it peaking at $9K.
8029  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the risk necessary to make a big profit? on: May 13, 2018, 11:31:09 PM
I would say that everything has a risk, it depends on the level of risk, if your tried to inquire for investment example in a bank they have low risk but not much profit and high risk with high profit, in crypto tradding theres always a risk, you must prepared not only financially but emotionally prepared as well.

In my experience in crypto, yes, its necessary to take risk or even take a lost so that you can make big profits in the end. I started with just small amounts in the beginning of my journey, win some, lose some. But I gain experience and I mature as a trader.

So I advise not to fear and take the risk now, we all know that life is full of risk so why not gamble and see how it goes for you. I'm sure if you are thinking logically, this risk will earn you big rewards in the end. Believe me, been there, done that. And you will be glad that you take that risk and feeling satisfied in the end.
8030  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Suggestion for trading on: May 13, 2018, 10:59:11 PM
do you have suggestions , how to avoid mistakes in trading and take less risk ?
and what need to learn for be a good trader ?

Its really hard to avoid mistakes mate, its part of the learning process. As hard as I try to avoid getting loses, the more I became too emotional. That's why I always put a entry and exit strategy, helps me control everything and prevent a lost in my end.

But don't fear getting some negatives because that's how you going to 'hardened' and 'tough' and make the right decisions and mitigate your risk. Experience is the best teacher and don't give up and I'm sure that in time, you will be very successful trader.
8031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: May 13, 2018, 10:41:44 PM
LeBron is on the mission again this year, and for you guys who thinks Celtics can overcome the Cavs, well sorry to say but the chances are very low without their 2 superstars. Experience has a higher winning percentage. Remember what happened with the OKC in the 2012 NBA finals? That team was stacked with young talents, but they lost because they dont have experienced the pressure and atmosphere in a playoff championship game.
It wouldve been a good competetive match up if both teams have a healthy roster.
This is like a history that is written and will just repeat itself.  I was once a fan of Boston Celtics but if we'll see and check the line up, experience and path on who's going to the right one, Cavs is the clear one that's going through. I like to assume that this can be the same as last year that Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers will face again in the finals but this season will be for Cavs.
Lebron is very consistent in the East so I have to believe that they will easily win against the Boston this year.
If only they have Irving playing with them now, they might have a chance to win against the cavaliers as they have the home court advantage, but sadly Irving was injured so their chance of winning is very low now.
From the past round, Boston really struggles from some plays. IMO, correct that Lebron's consistency could lead them to finals. But I think Boston will put a little fight in the end of the East Finals.

But my team is Gloden States. Say Hi to the Warriors fans here. Hooooo!!!!  Roll Eyes
Ahh no. Not a Warriors fan! Embarrassed
Just kidding. Wink
I can not see them going far since they have Curry who has soft ankles and everytime I see him jumping for the ball I always see in my mind him twisting his foot again and being out for the rest of the playoffs.
We have all seen how the Warriors perform without their leader at the helm and against a healthy Cavaliers team, they do not have a chance to go on to the finals.
They already know what Stephen Curry's  injury of course. Coach Steve Kerr will prevent him to take strong from the paint. With the help of Durant and Green from their defense to Lebron, he will be immobilize in case Cavs will go to conference finals.
What I was getting at was if Stephen Curry rolls his ankle again, which could be very easy for him to do on any play being run, the Warriors are done.
They might as well kiss their chances to even get to the finals goodbye.
Curry is their team and without him not even Kevin Durant and Draymond Green can save the team from going down with depending on defense alone.
https://sports.yahoo.com/draymond-figured-knows-series-comes-184444138.html
We will need to see how he does against Capella in the Houston Rockets match up first (https://www.sfchronicle.com/warriors/article/Warriors-Rockets-matchup-to-watch-Draymond-Green-12908341.php) before talking about even meeting up with Cavailers when they run over Boston first. Wink

I dont think they will let him play without a go signal from his health team. This people are paid big time and they wont sacrifice the whole payment for just some games.
Even with the playoffs, they did not force Curry to play even with GSW getting hard times in their games.
He should be really healthy by now if they already let them go.
If there will be injuries that will happen then it can be a new one or just because of age. Grin
It will a good match up. Capella is working because of Harden. You could look at how Green defended Anthony Davis from the recent games. It is a hard job but he could somehow do some work on the inside.

Curry's injury in my opinion is not worst as everyone may have thought it could be. He's young, lot of advance technology that really help him heal that injury quickly. That's why he was given a clean bill of health and did play against NO. And as we can see, he is still deadly outside and his form is back.

Green defending Anthony Davis is a classic, its like Rodman defending Malone during the Chicago vs Utah days. What sets them different though is that Green was able to cover everyone in the NO roster, he can switch and guard anyone and make them change their shots. Of course a block will do, but it's not necessary to play good defense, changing or distracting their shot is a good indication that you are really a good defensive player.

8033  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-12] Bitcoin Moons to $36,000 by End of 2019 According to Fundstrat on: May 12, 2018, 11:37:27 PM

Well, it is always nice to hear many positive prediction or projection about the value of Bitcoin before the year ends. I am optimistic about Bitcoin though am more realistic so I hate to not adhere to this specific amount. I am even doubting if Bitcoin can be able to go back to the $20K level it reached (or almost reached depending on the exchange) late last year. But then again, I would be so happy to be proven wrong, of course. In other words, let's just wait for the time and see which prediction came true or got missed the track.

Yeah, Fundstrat has been very bullish about bitcoin and its very welcoming to read this kind of news. Lately, we have read attacks coming from WB, BG and CM saying negative things about bitcoin and crypto assets.

So with positivism, I hope that we  can get back on track on hitting $10K which we have been struggling to get or even surpassed because the market keeps reacting violently on FUDs. I'm not saying that I'm doubting that we can get to $20K, but I would rather not put too much high expectations though, I will be happy to see bitcoin breaking 5 figure and then let's see how it goes at the end of 2018.
8034  Economy / Economics / Re: Big FUD attack by Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and Charlie Munger on: May 12, 2018, 10:59:45 PM
I don't think this little "flash crash" was done by those statements. Yes those are well known figures, and their opinion matter to a lot of people, but they all know what already happened in the past, when Buffet talk trash about BTC. It crashed only to get new heights in the future. I think people already know what they think about bitcoin, so those who wanted to sell based on their opinion already did so. Their direct influence over crypto is probably gone now in my opinion.

With that said, all those billionaires who are against bitcoin and keep on attacking the ecosystem has short term effect. And the more they attack it, the more people gets interested and their FUD lost its traction.

And I also speculate that they are spreading negative news because they are stock guy, they don't stock investor to shift their funds to crypto because their portfolio will definitely affected.

I think that's the main reason why they keep on saying things that will drastically impact our market, if our price goes down, chances are, crypto investors are moving their funds across stocks which is very advantageous to them.
8035  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price To $36K in 2019 - Expert Research on: May 12, 2018, 10:05:36 PM
I am bullish for bitcoin in the years to come, but nobody know exact price

That's why people are better off not expecting anything from the market, and especially so when it comes to the short term market. The only prediction I am sticking with, and that since last year, is that I expect the price to at least have touched the $50,000 level. It should be a realistic target with the events that we have coming up in the next few years. There are obviously no guarantees, but Bitcoin's future is looking solid and the price will definitely reflect that. I also wonder when we will be letting go of calculating prices in BTC. At such levels it makes more sense to use mBTC or something else representing a lower unit value. I know you can already use it on exchanges and other services, but I am referring to it becoming the default pricing unit.

As for me, I don't want to put too much expectations right now so that I won't get disappointed if the price doesn't get to that in the future. Specially right now that we have been witnessing wild swings and no one can really predict where the price will go short/long term.

I hope so too, so many new people who are interested in the world of crypto (bitcoin). but, in my opinion it is still too early to discuss the price in 2019 later. we the users, investors and markets, should focus first on the price in 2018 later, so the price at the end of the year will burst again as happened in 2017 ago. I'm sure the end of this year the price will pass through his new record.

That's the only thing we can do right now, to hope. I know that there are a lot of people who are willing to enter, but seems to be taken aback from what is happening specially in the beginning of the year. Again, I wanted to have a new all-time-high at the end of the year, but will be happy if we ever touch and see bitcoin in the 5 figure mark and let's see how it goes at the end of the year.
8036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: May 11, 2018, 11:30:03 PM

Celtics vs Cavs on Monday. Anyone that has insider if one from the team can't play or all of them are capable?

Cleveland Cavaliers squad are all capable to play.

For Boston Celtics, aside some of their players who are rested for rest of the season/playoffs, the recent one who got injured is Shane Larkin on their Game 4 matched between the Philadelphia 76ers. Although at some point that this guy really helps on defense, his average stats is low so I think his absence can't really bring a bad impact from the whole Boston Celtics squad.
Nice, if they are able to play completely without any injury and about those bench players we are not seeing them as big help during these conference or it's just me. Most of the time the highlights are being focused to the key players so that's why I end up with that thought.

Well, every help is really needed by Boston and they don't have the luxury to get anyone from the team to get injury at this juncture. Just sad though that Kyrie is not there otherwise this series will be one for the books. Drama's everywhere, emotions running high. Lol.

I give Boston a slight chances to win, but everyone who has been following NBA will no doubt that Cleveland has the clear advantage here because of James and no one in Boston can guard him or even limit his 30+ points average per game.
8037  Economy / Economics / Re: What are the challenges for investment with Small capital? on: May 10, 2018, 11:31:24 PM
In the study of economics, Investment mean any addition in physical stock as well as stock of finished goods,  or you can say any putting money in anything for the motive of profit.I want to know your opinion that what are main challenges for small investors in any type of business now a days, If he/she has nothing after his investment?

Very simple. small capital = small gains, not unless you got lucky and hit a jackpot that will give your small investments big returns like x100 or even greater. That's why you really need to be aware how much you are going to invest and the potential of good returns.

However, in the equation, there is also risk, that both small and big capital had to face, because both of them can end up with nothing as well. That's why if you are going to invest with small capital, the risk can be mitigated if you are going to hold it for long term and hope to get a windfall at the end.
8038  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-10]Extreme Hodling - $10 Billion Worth of Bitcoin in Underground Vaults on: May 10, 2018, 10:59:14 PM
Seems like hype to me.  If you individually place your BTC in known secure cold storage - paper, hardware, etc... its safe.  How about adding a BIP extended password to the thing as well?  This place seems reputable, but don't they all.  If it shuts down, just like a regular exchange, you are screwed.  I don't trust anyone as much as myself.

I think hype is an understand. It looks like Xapo has really promoted their products and having underground to protect someone's assets was their selling point. That's why they were able to secure high value clients as well as their sale pitch is very good.

It must be a nightmare to break in! It's a good solution to those who keep looking at their portfolio every hour. Now you put your hodlings underground, and that's it, wait out a couple of years (hoping that the facility won't close down) and enjoy some good money.

Still, it's aimed towards big fish, institutional investors and overly paranoid people, haha.

Mission Impossible - Xapo Heist.

Yes, they are really targeting big fish here that's why it says that around 6%-10% of bitcoins is in their protection. Mission Impossible? I'm pretty sure that this article will be on the radar of some hackers group and maybe they are looking at how to break it. Lol.
8039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: May 10, 2018, 10:06:32 PM

Ok. So it looks like Manny have added experience inside and out of the boxing arena (Dodie Boy) so its pretty much solid specially with the addition of Nonito Senior. So Manny is serious to about this one. Maybe we can see Manny throwing left hooks if just like Nonito Jr. hehhehe.

Pacman is going to completely destroy Mattysse, people seem to think that just because Pacquiao has gone into politics that somehow he's not a beast anymore. The guy has an amazing record. He barely lost to the GOAT mayweather, so I really don't see him having much of a challenge in this fight. It will probably go the distance, but it should be a UD.

I don't think that Manny will "completely" destroy Matthysse, it will be very competitive because we all know that Lucas has its own power, Maybe we can see Manny and Cotto all over again, fighting toe-to-toe in the first 3 rounds until Manny hits Cotto and the complexion of the game changes.
8040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Shyness in gambling on: May 09, 2018, 11:59:08 PM
Never felt that feeling that I'm shy so I didn't play at all. There's one situation that I don't play because I don't have something to gamble. The shyness of being a loser is what I'm even thinking and I don't let others to push myself to gamble. I don't want others to know that I lost and how much I've gone in gambling that is the situation that I'm trying to avoid.

People who gamble might only would shy if they found somebody else of their relatives or friends seen them in the casino and they get caught. As may be world would know that he does not gamble but being caught is an awkward position and it is a bad feeling as well.
They won’t shy at that moment rather feel ashamed of themselves at most. That is also pointless because there is no need to feel guilty in front of some relative who himself is in casino. Definitely, his presence means he wants to gamble too. What else could be the reason for going to such a place? It is not any shopping mall or café. Besides, I think a person should not do any such act that would force him to feel sorry.
Yes. Anyone who is even shy for being in a casino is actually not serious. What is there to be shy about in the first place? The fact that such a person is gambling and does not want to be perceived as a gambler by fellow gamblers or the fact that he is not cool with himself gambling. If these are all the case, then why would such a person be found in a casino or be gambling as first. It is just height of non-seriousness as far as I am concerned.

Well besides the gambling thing, this is natural I think. There is always a sense of shyness over the face of a newcomer in any field where he is just a newbie. This lay about some days after the joining in anyplace and later on this shyness just become converted to the confidence.

People around you start talking with you and you become relaxed with this. But here in gambling, even this is wrong, you mustn’t be confident in gambling.
There is a huge difference between shyness that a person feels when he first enters in a casino and the one he feels when he enters in some more respected game or place. Let me clarify a bit more, for a newbie gambler It Is more like, “oh, I should not be here” or “this is so embarrassing”, basically a feel of guilty and shame while let’s say, a new football player may fear his first entry into the filed but he will be satisfied.

Correct. There was one time that my friends insist that we should go to this poker tournament because there's a lot of good players in that "casino". So I dress up nicely, however, its not the casino that I'm expecting. Its someone like a class B casino and all the players are just wearing just a shirts and short pants. Damn, I was embarrass and shy away and I told my friends that we should go somewhere else because everyone's eyes is on us. So I just go around and check every table and not show my embarrassment and left in about 20 minutes or so.
