7061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 Crypto Exit Scams on: March 04, 2019, 02:52:35 PM
Oh man, what can I say about Bitconnect, before they have pulled one of the biggest scams out there, a lot of people in this community has been calling them out as pure scam, but I guess no one really listens because months after that they stop paying and disappear.

I still remember that because I was almost fooled to invest, but luckily due to this community and my vigilance, I was not victimised by the people behind. Anyways, I've seen threads saying that the FBI has the person behind already, but I don't know if they can be fully compensated.
7062  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Never use Coinbase wallet's private key back up feature on: March 04, 2019, 02:11:25 PM
a while back i said Coinbase is a bitcoin bank to one of those silly topics asking whether banks will ever adopt bitcoin. now you can see how they are turning more and more into a bank every day. basically you are giving up control over your money and no longer use bitcoin, instead you use a bank called Coinbase and pay them fees to use your own money. then they not only report your ass to IRS and NSA for every single transaction but also can block your money if they decided to have some fun with you!

Exactly.

XRP is now available on Coinbase

The funny thing is, they violated their own terms and it looks like XRP has paid them huge sum of money, very shady indeed.

7063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 04, 2019, 01:47:00 PM
Pau Gasol finally joined the Milwaukee Bucks team.
He is a good player but I think he is a little bit old and I don't know if he will be able to help the team, especially in the playoff series which is kind of tiring.

What do you think guys? Is this signing going to empower the Bucks squad?

I'm not really sure what Bucks sign Gasol. Anyways, someone said because Pau brings experienced to that young Bucks so partly if maybe the reason.

Checking on his stats as a San Antonio, he averages just 4 points and almost 5 rebounds again. Maybe he could be just a back up for Lopez. So I don't think that he will add significant numbers for the team, perhaps some intangibles like playoffs experienced.
7064  Other / Off-topic / Re: Breathing exercises on: March 04, 2019, 01:31:15 PM
Can you explain what is this breathing exercise craze is all about?

I haven't heard anything about it though, what positive benefits it could bring to people? I think you need to share more details about it so that we can have a healthy discussions.
7065  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Where can i report a crypto crime? on: March 04, 2019, 01:25:46 PM
Sadly though, since crypto is still in it early years, a lot of criminals are taking advantage of it because they know that it's not yet regulated and most of the time, if you're a victim you can't do anything about it.

And it really based on where you living at, if you're in a country wherein there is no regulation or worst the government doesn't accept it legally, then you're in trouble. If you're in a country wherein it is regulated, maybe you can tell your local Central Bank, and see how it goes.
7066  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Recommendation on: March 03, 2019, 03:10:05 PM
Sorry, I'm not buying this.

And we have seen so many scams similar to this, so I doubt that members here are gonna fall for this kind of trap. A newbie account shilling a platform here, that is one of the worst. You better learn your way here, otherwise you will be tag as a scammer here, sorry to burst the bubble for you.
7067  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret it not selling at peaked on last jan 2018 ? on: March 03, 2019, 03:03:34 PM
I sold my bitcoin by September when the price was good, and since then I have not been able to buy any, so I don't regret selling it then. My advice investor's to keep it because very soon the price will rise

I have sold in batch of two. Somewhere in February and May 2018 and then I keep on accumulating after that. Of course I could have sold them in December 2017 but I didn't but I have no regrets. Since that time all my savings is in bitcoin so in February I needed some money that's why I have to sell them.

And in May I have to buy a new laptop so I also sell some of my stash. But after that I keep on buying specially in dips and most likely not sell it, unless some unfortunate event happen again so make me dump it, I will continue to hold on it.
7068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: newbies since 2017 bullrun needs to learn on: March 03, 2019, 02:54:15 PM
before investing in the world of crypto people must have the necessary knowledge, know what it is, then read, study so much on the subject, we have to be careful before investing or making a bounty on the icos in recent times there have been many scams

That's right. But the problem is that 2017 was really a bull-run. There's a lot of money flowing, even a simply airdrop will yield good dividends that's why noobs thought that crypto market is very easy and it doesn't have to have a knowledge to make a lot of money here.

But 2018 was very different, gone are the days wherein joining bounties will get you dividends are the ICO. Projects have been holding, because they're afraid that the price of their tokens will go down because of the hunters mindset to dump it as soon as they got their rewards.

So there's a lot of lessons to be learn in the bear market and I do hope that they learn it by heart so that they will know how to react in the future.
7069  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ice cream on: March 03, 2019, 02:48:21 PM
I'm more of a fruity ice cream guy.

Mangoes, avocados and other fruity ice cream for me. I don't like choco or dark ice-cream. Another one of my favorite is cheese with fruits. Best combination for me.  Grin
7070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum speculation on: March 03, 2019, 01:45:59 PM
No doubt, Etherium will again raise to highest levels.
At the moment Etherium is still leading platform for many Dapps to adopt blockchchain technology.
When people are losing hope, etherium has come up with Constantinople update.
So, ETH is upgrading itself with current situation.

I'm betting that with the Constantinople fork, there will be a huge spike in the price by so far it has a hard time breaking the $200 barrier. Maybe the price is already reach its peak that's why no significant effects of the fork itself.

Anyways, it's still the go to investments of ICO so I think the future still looks bright for Ethereum and once the market is on another bull run again, I'm sure Ethereum is the second coin to make a good run in the market.
7071  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betlake | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Simple Site on: March 03, 2019, 12:10:21 PM
Fixed first the SSL issue before anything else. Gamblers won't take the risk of depositing, not even a satoshi if your site cannot provide security for it's customer, that's a major no-no for any gambling site for that matter.
7072  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BUNKER WALLET : the safest crypto-wallet ecosystem | investors, partners needed. on: March 03, 2019, 12:03:11 PM
A whole lot of wallers now. Not so easy to trust projects now. so u don't end up being a scam pit. Good luck with ur project all the same

Definitely, trust is big buzz word here in crypto. If you can't proved your trust in the long run, they how can you succeed in this world.

He needs to be completely transparent about everything though, as everything started at the wrong foot so members are really going to scrutinized everything, from your website, to the people behind and the project itself.
7073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto companies complain they’re being shunned by most banks on: March 03, 2019, 11:58:03 AM
Actually, even as an individual, it's hard to open a bank account if you says that majority of your funds are coming from crypto, I experienced this first hand so I'm not surprised by the attitude of big banks towards companies now who's trying to shunned even the basic banking services once they found out that your company is involved in cryptos.

I guess the obvious answer is that banking system really hates and think that crypto is a competitor that will despite their financial stability and will take a big slice on their profit. I just shake my head when 3 local banks here refuses me and my wife opening a joint banking account because of the word 'bitcoin'.
7074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - the Chain of Knowledge on: March 03, 2019, 11:52:52 AM
I think this is how the forum grows as well. Someone heard about this one, joined specially around the boom in 2017 and then tell their families that they can make money by joining 'bounties'. Many majority really take it seriously and study bitcoin/blockchain to advance their career.

But there are people who quit their job and focus on trading, they might have difficulty though up to this point because we're in the bear market, but we've learned valuable lessons and so the cycle goes.

As long as I can help them gain knowledge then why not? Will continue to support people who's attitude towards crypto is positive, whether they're related to me or not.
7075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 03, 2019, 09:28:17 AM

I guess the fans would be saying now, what if they have Davis? It's sure be a different story.

Oh well, the drama has really taken a toll of their team. Look at them today, from a series playoff contender before all the drama from dead spot. They should have gotten that AD scenario and should focus more on the game since Lebron is already back, unfortunately, they have lost again and the interest of their young players and the hope of getting to the playoffs is gone.

As for the veterans? It's gonna be over as well, we don't know if their contract are going to be extended after this season, veterans like Javale, Rondo, Lance and Chandler career will be up in the air that's for sure.
7076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: sign of bull run? on: March 02, 2019, 02:59:33 PM
The bounces in bitcoin are not continuous and it took many days before it bounces again if you it to the bullrun that happened in 2017. To create a bullrun, the price uptrend should be consistent and corrections are mostly in short duration. Some altcoins are also rising because of the events related to them like mainnet and hard forks and not related to bullrun. No one can exactly know when that bullrun occur again so it better to be prepared.

That is the lessons we've learn in 2017. However, we be able to see bull run in 2019, there should be a catalyst, like a bitcoin ETF approval, but we don't have that as SEC will kept on delaying this news and we all know that it will be rejected.

To see a bull-run, it should start on bitcoin and then alts will follow. But as I have said above, we might not see a bull run but just few bounces that a speculator or manipulator will just take advantage and book their profits.
7077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum back in number 2 on: March 02, 2019, 12:22:58 PM
Ethereum will always remain in the second position in cryptocurrency. While bitcoin also maintain his number one position. Ethereum is one of the best substitute for bitcoin, that's why its one of the reasons why is the leader of Altcoin

I don't think we can call Ethereum as a substitute because both of them are very difficult, specially Ethereum Dapp capability.

Im not surprised by Ethereum regaining the 2nd spot. Just look at the price though compare to XRP and the total marketcap. Although XRP has a lot of backers in the banking system, I really doubt though that they will enjoy the support of most crypto enthusiast.
7078  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exit strategy on: March 02, 2019, 10:44:57 AM
If you're referring to Coinbase as some exchange that people can trade their bitcoin so, yes, I'm sure a lot of crypto enthusiast practice that basic principle. Luckily though, I used a local exchange wherein we can trade and can easily exchange it to our local fiat so no problem with us, although there is a KYC procedure (if you're not aware of it).

As for exit strategy, I guess if you have made a lot of profits then nothing wrong booking it, as long as you make a decent then why not? Coinbase is one of the best exchanges out there so I won't be worrying about the withdrawals, but there might be limits though.
7079  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices will continue to fall on: March 02, 2019, 10:37:59 AM
Well, it's not impossible for it to drop to 2k. It's unpredictable and us small players can't do much about it anyway. If you trust bitcoin will get through this, then buy.

Yes, but people are not aware of it. They think that if bitcoin falls to that levels, bitcoin will die. But you have to understand that it needs final capitulation, so that it will bounce back and will recovery nicely, and it's possible that it may hit another all-time-high in 2020.

I'd also say hodl for more, or at least wait for 2020 before calling it quits. Don't underestimate the effect of people talking about the halving.

If we're going to based at the last halving, it took months before the price pick up. So it might happen again in 2020 and so by 2021-2022 a new all-time-high is achieved.
7080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 02, 2019, 10:10:32 AM
Bucks won 131-120
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLDLp4pyyYE

The Bucks are gonna add a new player to their squad : Pau Gasol who just left the Spurs.
Congrats Bucks mah boiz, sorry for Lakers my boizz too.. really can't bet for these two teams..

Woaah, that's a big news for Bucks adding Pau Gasol didn't know about that trade.  --> http://www.nba.com/article/2019/03/01/pau-gasol-reportedly-sign-bucks

Gasol is not doing well with the Spurs, so now he is ship to the Bucks and I believe he is a great addition.
With playoff experience and has already become an NBA champion, he could be a big help for this team, gasol is not already in his prime but he can contribute well to boost the morale of the team facing the challenges within the playoffs.

Bucks seems going for a championship this season, what your thoughts on this?

I think this is a ripe time for the Bucks to be in the championship contention. They are really doing good and Giannis is continuing his path to be the likely MVP this season, but it's still early and debatable. The team's chemistry is a beauty as well and they understand each other. And now they have added Gasol (I don't know the reason), but I guess they needed someone as a backup or have the experience when playoff comes in. So yes, they're gunning for something huge this season, all in, to say the least.
The new king in the East after the Cavaliers.
How underrated Giannis this season, the focus was on Harden, James and Irving but Giannis continue to work hard and now we see how he become.

Maybe they are also preparing for the Raptors because the look for the Raptors now are better with Mark Gasol, it would be fun to watch if these two Gasol will meet in the Eastern Finals.

Indeed, with James Harden, triple double and with his un-guardable step back three, Giannis was somewhat lost in the discussions for the best player this season.

But it looks like he doesn't care are all, all he wanted was to bring the Milwaukee Bucks to the finals this year. The numbers are still comparable with the top scorers like Steph Curry so definitely, they are aiming big this year. He may not be the MVP but if he was able to bring them to the Conference finals then I'm sure that it's more than an individual award.
