wow, I had always thought the future was unknowable. I have learned from these forums that anyone who can type in all caps can precisely predict the future. Just ask one of them.

@FirstAscent If you like his other films you are going to love Dreams. It is vaguely autobiographical and based on real dreams he had. Different kinds of dreams are explored as well. From a child's dream to a hypothermia induced hallucination.
I definitely have Dreams on my list. What other films have you seen by him? I remember: Seven Samurai Rashomon Ran and Kagemusha. I think that is all of his work I have seen. Sometime the sub-titles can be distracting in the work of such a visual director, but i found some of his films do not have a lot of dialog anyway.

They actually alter your perception, and if used enough you start thinking your Jesus.
Start thinking your Jesus ... what? What will I start thinking my Jesus is doing? Don't leave me in suspense, here! Oh, ha. My bad. "you are Jesus"

... My contention is that assault weapons and bombs are only good for military applications. Civilians have no need for them because they offer no substantial benefits and often become a heavy burden on the people.
I could fill the rest of this thread with countless examples that fit your criteria. The problem is who decides what is useful to me? What if that thinking were applied to bitcoins?

Did you contact customer service? It'd be interesting to hear what they say.
Me 2. They would know all about shady banking. They had to pay me after winning a class action against them. For shady practices of course.

They are films of critical acclaim, domestic and foreign, recognized for various reasons as being significant, spanning from the early 20th century to now. My eyes were opened considerably once I started exploring their selection. ...
Awesome, I cant wait to get home tonight. I do like offbeat, non-Hollywood films. It is hard to pick a favorite, but I adore Akira Kurosawa's movie " Dreams". http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100998/

People are complicated. I would say any conservative would call me liberal. I support legislation which expands rights. If you want to be in a gay marriage or represent the KKK in a march or smoke weed or shoot a machine gun on your farm, I support you. I'm not afraid of peoples rights, I think we should enjoy them in liberal amounts. Sounds like you're two clicks away from libertarian What I was going to say. It's true. I think most Americans are libertarian at heart. I try to look at an issue without bringing my own bias. Liberal vs. Conservative is of no interest to me. Stupid ideas vs. sensible ideas are. It's why I have friends of all kinds and political persuasions.

It should come as no surprise that this failed to go anywhere. America does not want this. The media is comprised largely of urban reporters who know nothing about guns or people who live outside of cities. They like to portray this as crushed by the powerful NRA gun lobby. Well, guess what. The NRA is a grassroots group that represents millions of people. It is not like big pharma or the unholy defense lobby. They represent a few big manufactures. The NRA represents me, a liberal democrat. I find it offensive to see politicians and the media charge people with not caring just because their own ignorance informed agenda is threatened. Honestly, gun policy is to the left what abortion is to the right. These are settled issues in the U.S. but neither side will accept it. So they waste our tax dollars endlessly parsing words and dreaming up cheats around due process. Meanwhile, real issues are ignored.

The good news in all this is that there are fewer Texans tonight than there were last night.
This is offensive. It would be like saying that the good news about the 15th's bombing was that there are fewer Bostonians. You're celebrating people's death based on nothing more than where they lived. Disgusting. +1 Come on man. That is not like making fun of their sports teams or politics, because there is no "fun" involved.

I always like the good movies that somehow I missed at the theater. I'm not sure if it is streaming right now, but " Land of the Blind" is such a film. It even has some big names in it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0433405/Have you ever explored films within the Criterion Collection? With the exception of four titles, every title I've mentioned is in the Criterion Collection. I can't recommend Edward Yang or Yasujiro Ozu highly enough. Hey thanks man. I'm not familiar with that. I will definitely check it out!

It takes a village! The Second Amendment was written long before pressure cookers existed. Sure, but when the constitutional amendment was passed militias were fighting with death pots like these:

If it's our time to go, it's our time to go. The planet will do fine without us
That is not very consoling. lol No, it's not. Not, at least, if you're human-centric. However, if what you care about is "the environment," or "the planet," then I imagine it's quite comforting to know that after we've wiped ourselves out, life on earth will continue. I'm cool with humans being gone. My view is that all life is really the same creature. I don't know why, but DNA has emerged and radiated into millions of forms. But it is all just the same DNA creature. You, me, trees, germs, we are the same creature. There has been only one living thing ever discovered. So it's no big deal if 90% of life dies on Earth. No different than pruning 90% of the limbs off a tree. Still, i will miss the parties.
