7121  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here we go. Bitcoin ripping through $4000 on: February 25, 2019, 06:06:14 AM
It was obvious that was a bull trap if you wanna call it but really just a normal part of the bottom phase bitcoin is in. Sometimes it will get a pump and sometimes a dump, doesn't mean the price is gonna launch up or crash down. We're 3+ months firmly in the bottoming out phase in the $3000s and we should expect plenty more months to come of this price range.

Call it a bull trap but it seems that there's someone who manipulated the price of bitcoin again. Anyways, at least there's a indication that investors are still willing to put their money on the market.

After breaking $4100, we are back to $3700.

Logical after the dump by short sellers.

This time next week we will be well above $4500 and into steady climb

I thought short sellers are very nervous when the price went as high as $4200, because if might signal a bull run. but damn majority of us are wrong. Let's wait, at least for the end of the month and see how everything goes.
7122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 235: Jones vs. Smith Prediction and Info Thread on: February 25, 2019, 05:08:19 AM
Pretty much a stack up line up here:

Definitely, Jones will be the favorite to win this fight. I guess if he win this fight, then he can either move up in weight or fight Thiago who blasted Jan couple of days ago and then that's it, he had clean the division again so he needs to move up to heavyweight.

Interesting to hear the thoughts of the rest of our MMA 'experts' regarding the rest of the cards.  Grin

7123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future for cryptocurrency? on: February 25, 2019, 04:58:43 AM
With blockchain data can be stored in a decentralized public book.

With cryptocurrency, we can make anonymous transactions without centralized intervention.

That's right, however, if you used exchanges that requires KYC then centralization ceases. As long as you are holding it, you will be fine, but if you exchange it to fiat then the whole anonymity is gone.

If you add speed and spread to the public, then the future is cryptocurrency.

How do you think?

We are barely on it, crypto hasn't been fully adopted by the general public. However, the future holds bright for all of us. And we do hope that government will fine a way to regulate it or totally embrace it in the future.
7124  Economy / Speculation / Re: The slow 5 days of green ended in less than 5 hrs. on: February 24, 2019, 06:37:19 PM
I must admit, even though I keep telling my to wait for it to get back to 6k before selling, I was tempted to sell at 4k. Well, guess I missed the chance and have to wait some more.

Lol, me too, I was tempted to sell some of my stash because I wanted to buy something and then whoahh, suddenly the price goes down that fast, I miss the opportunity, but anyways, I'm not in a hurry to buy that item though, so yes, we have to wait a bit further.

But the slide, was really fast though, matter of minutes as I was monitor it, don't know what triggers it, hopefully we may have to try to get back that $4k - $42xx range again.
7125  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin up to 4100$ on: February 24, 2019, 06:15:52 PM
I wouldn't expect it that way maybe a couple of months Bitcoin will hit $5k, it is just too early to assume that Bitcoin will have a bull run this year. It is just probably a new manipulation of some whales to help the market from drowning into too much deep. At least the price is not too deep that would hurt to trade by a lot of traders.
At least you have made a prediction of reaching $5000 in two months time. I had a prediction that the price of bitcoin will reach $5000 at the earliest. In specific I predicted that it would be reached by the starting of the upcoming month March. Downfall is steep and now trailing around $3850, once again it takes time to get recovered.

Correct, I was surprised to see the price falls that fast, anyways, we're still in the second month of the year and a lot of things can happen so I wouldn't be surprise to see if in the next couple of days, the price will recover or bounce back to that $4k barrier.

Probably another manipulator not just by whales but by those speculators who have set up their bots to sell again at a certain price and then followed by those nervous and noobs investors who chooses to push the sell button as well.
7126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 24, 2019, 11:18:09 AM
~snip~
The warriors are winning but they are struggling lately, they are not the same dominant team who can easily beat their opponent.
Their last 3 games at home are won by single digit only and on the last 2 games, against sacramento and Miami Heat, they only win by 2 points, these 2 teams are not a legit playoff contender but they cannot dominate even at home. I see they are a different team this season and the Rockets might be the next champ.
I don't know about the Rockets being the next champ. Maybe the Warriors are really struggling, yeah, they might not be the dominant team as we have seen them in the last 2-3 years but I think they can still pull it off in the Western conference and face a tough and physical East team so it makes it more interesting.
We don't know but if you will ask me, I would love to see a new match up again, Harden has been playing really well
and he deserved to be in big stage. The warriors are still the same team, they maybe struggle now but they are still the favorites in the NBA to become the NBA champion. Faried is a good addition to the Rockets, he can be very useful during the playoffs and Paul should remain healthy as his points are back now.

I woudn't be surprised in James Harden will win the MVP again this year. As you have said, he is putting a lot of works and his numbers are way about the rest.

I don't know though, but it looks like Houston hasn't forgot last year conference finals that's why when they face Golden State they're usually pump up and wanting to prove something. Good win for them.
7127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is waves still unknown to most people ? on: February 24, 2019, 11:12:12 AM

Is it because waves isn't good or is it because it hasn't been pumped yet ?

It has been pumped many times in the past already.

But you have to understand that altcoins competition is very tough, just like at how ETH and XRP are doing, they're positioning themselves as the 2nd coins behind bitcoin and they're pretty much switching place, meaning altcoins enthusiast are more into this coins are compare to the rest like NEO or Waves.

This is what you call copy-and-paste virus:

Copy-Paste Virus For Bitcoin Users -- Beware!!!
affected by bitcoin Copy paste viruses

You're lucky that you didn't send the bitcoin right away, otherwise it's goodbye. I'm sure you learn your lessons already so next time just be careful.
7130  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who is the best Vblogger in crypto in your opinion? on: February 24, 2019, 09:27:56 AM
The best youtube channel that is related to crypto or Bitcoin specifically is non other than 'aantonop' or Andreas M. Antonopoulos, you will agree to me if you watch his YouTube videos on how he talks about Bitcoin and its uses. I sometimes think that he's Satoshi but it's just that he studied very well the fundamentals of Bitcoin.

Exactly, he is the only person that I follow since I was just starting my journey in crypto and he is very knowledgeable so my vote goes for him.

But, nah, I don't think that he is Satoshi though, maybe he really loves the technology behind that's why he became a so called experts in terms of its advantages and just the way he spread the word about this technology is awesome.
7131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1000 Bitcoin: The World's Most Expensive Prius on: February 24, 2019, 09:20:40 AM
It also depends on how he got the bitcoins, if he earned them rather than
bought them well buying something physical like a car in his view was a
worthwhile thing to do. Its all perception so i wouldnt get too hung up about
whether it was smart or not.

If I got it right, he says in the video that the invested around $3K in 2013 so I guess we can't say that the did a wrong decision. And besides he says he uses the car to travel across cities so I'm sure he has somewhat get the returns for his investments back them.

So we really can't judge the guy, we can probably appreciate what he did early on, and I'm sure he learns some investments lessons as he says in the end of the video.
7132  Economy / Economics / Re: California Governor Believes Blockchain Is The Key To Securing Data on: February 24, 2019, 09:15:39 AM
The article isn't really too specific about the problem of data security. If I understand it correctly, it is about online firms and organizations protecting the online data of their customers. If so, blockchain technology can really help, but it's a long way ahead. As for creating new jobs by blockchain education, that's is something very tangible and the society as a whole needs more blockchain education.

I don't think we need to be more specifics as we already know what's the problem with regards out our personal info and data. Companies are not protecting their customers data so it might be the reason why the Governor is pushing for them to implement blockchain as we all know that it can really help on that department.

All in all, great to see a politician who is mentioning blockchain technology in such s positive context. We need more of them.

Right, we need more of them so really be in the forefront of this new revolutionary technology. They need to go out of their comfort zone and acknowledges what this technology can bring to the society.
7133  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin up to 4100$ on: February 24, 2019, 08:27:04 AM
It's going to be exciting in the next couple of days and see if bitcoin can sustain its momentous right. Trading volume is lose to 10 million now so if it goes above that barrier I think we're in for a good recovery.

I didn't say that it could be the start of a bull run though, I hope so, but it's early to say. We need more volumes and get past $4500-$5k so that investors will be comfortable and who know, those who chooses to exit will now FOMO and enter the market again, pumping fresh blood and pushing the price even higher.
7134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Finally ETH is back at no. 2 spot on: February 23, 2019, 03:05:35 PM
And the funny thing is that Ethereum is somewhat very bullish right now and has been on a good recovery so to speak. I wouldn't be surprised to see the price touch $200 in the next month or so.

I have nothing against XRP but this competition has really brought the best of these 2 coins. They keep on fighting for the second spot, but at the end, its us crypto enthusiast who are going to get the full benefit specially when this bull run happens this year.
7135  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stay away from Coin Bull and Paperex : Do not invest on: February 23, 2019, 03:00:59 PM
OP has been making continuous accusations thread for Coin Bull & Paperex. All of them with the same content, no proof, just story. I'm not sure I can believe what he wrote now.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2517363;sa=showPosts

Maybe he or she is just new here and didn't know how to make accusations or if you do make an accusations at least back it up with evidence or proof.

But if the story is true then I pity him because that amount is huge. Anyways, this is another lessons for everyone not to blindly trust someone in crypto specially when big funds.
7136  Other / Off-topic / Re: How Cryptocurrency can change your life. on: February 23, 2019, 02:54:56 PM
Obviously, if you have investment earlier, and then sold during it's peak in 2017 then your life will be much easier because of the huge money you profited.

But the thing is that you need to be careful though, it's not always that the bull run occurs, so you better save for the rainy days so that you will continue to enjoy your life with the help of crypto.
7137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull is here on: February 23, 2019, 01:00:08 PM
I believe that the bulls are really close. It seems to me that we must remain optimistic. The market is currently trying to go up.
I believe it's close, haven't seen this price stays stable this long after a pump, normally after a pump it will dump hard.
Seems like there is a light and this should be a signal for traders to buy this time, we did not know when it will pump but at least we are ready when it comes. It's close and that's what I believe because we are due for a rise after being dump for almost an entire year.

Yeah, they could be close as the price is really very stable. Just look at bitcoin, the price seems to be hovering above $3900 for the last 5 days or so and even went to $4000 for a bit.

It's just one push and I think we will go the a bull run already. If this is a bull trap, we should have seen the price goes from $4K-$3600 right away, but it didn't it just hold on it and at least sustained for almost a week now.
7138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: No more new task or projects in bountyhunters.io on: February 23, 2019, 12:44:55 PM
As other's have pointed out, there are a lot of bounty portals out there. Yes those accusations may have something to do with projects not wanted to hire them but this is a cut throat business, so they need to re invent themselves and continue.

As I have said, they can still go on with this business and be careful next time so obviously, its not the end for them.
7139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on ESPN 1: Ngannou vs Velasquez Prediction and Info Thread on: February 23, 2019, 12:39:54 PM
Javier Mendez, Cain's coach as a interesting theory,  Grin

Quote
“If you guys watch the video, the very first punch Ngannou threw at Cain, (Cain) came into shoot, he got hit in the back of the head, an illegal shot that dazed him a little bit when he went in for the takedown, and that’s what kind of jacked up his knee to start,” Mendez told Submission Radio. “So, I didn’t see that, I did not see that. And today I looked at it and said, ‘oh my god.’ And guess who told me about it? Cain. Cain was the one who told me.”

https://www.mmamania.com/2019/2/21/18234595/ufc-cain-velasquez-team-now-blaming-illegal-punch-ko-loss-francis-ngannou-phoenix

So basically, he blame the 'illegal' punch that could have trigger Cain's knees to buckled and eventually gave out.
7140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tulsi Gabbard – US Presidential Candidate OR a BITCOIN LOVER? on: February 23, 2019, 12:23:58 PM
Ok, so what are the chances of 2 presidential US candidates who is friendly to bitcoin?

http://fortune.com/2018/06/04/john-mcafee-president-2020/

So just imagine having a US President who is friendly to crypto, I'm sure that crypto will take off.  Grin

Anyways, We don't know what the future holds, there might be a new US President in 2020, not name Gabbard or McAfee, however, I still think that crypto will continue to flow no matter who sits on the  US Presidency.
