Ya I'm from the United States, the signature campaign was cancelled by the way, wasn't fake. Again I don't give a fuck about that.

The majority of internet scammers come from 3rd world countries like Nigeria, this is a FACT.

that's unproven fact , the proven fact is that your country is the world's first oil scammer.

^ Ah, the classic "sir", anytime I see that I assume it's a 3rd worlder from Nigeria or somewhere of the ilk

The word sir in our 3rd world countries stands for respect , also not everybody from Nigeria or a 3rd world country is a liar or a scam. you are a 1st worlder i take it, yet you run "fake bounty signature" and have a trust page painted in red.

again this is going off-topic , just thought of doing a favor by getting you out of the miserable mindset of yours.

As long as your not retarded you won't get caught.

but you got caught ?

A red mark on a internet forum is life changing? get a grip

Yup, some people keep building their accounts for years , trade with that account full time, and once they get tagged, nobody would want to trade with them. unlike you some people do make a living on the internet rather than wasting their time.

oh you got 3 of those, maybe you would do better in explaining the effects of "red marks" on one's profile, but wait, yours is a newbie, 0 effort spent on it, so i don't expect you to understand the point.
7166  Other / Meta / Re: Why I think Copper Membership is a must buy on: January 30, 2019, 01:22:34 AM
This is a bit off-topic, but that "DT power" is something that tends to get very exaggerated in the minds of those who aren't on DT.

it's true, i only understood this after being put on DT, honestly it's good to know that your feedback are actually being "read" and not sitting in the dark, but it puts a lot of pressure on you, i started to think 10 times before tagging someone, simply because i feel that my feedback could be a life-changing for someone, i was more flexible then, the responsibility is not something one would enjoy most.
7167  Other / Meta / Re: Contradictory rules, account sell VS merit sell. On addition trust view to guest on: January 30, 2019, 01:15:00 AM
I'd suggest to change all ranks to derogatory titles, such as bozo, dolt, twit, etc. Would fix the problem overnight.

as a non-native English speaker, allow me to tell you that these 3 words mean exactly the same thing ,and i imagine the same person/s when reading every word. Grin

honestly i do agree that these ranks are some how confusing misleading, i once blindly trusted a legendary rank member when i first joined the forum, thinking there was only 10-20 of them around and they won't risk their reputation. he scammed me for 150$ , i thought he was stupid, but turned out that his account worth less than 150$ and i was stupid.

I actually meant a red tag makes no difference if someone sells an account or trades Merit directly. In every case he is gaming the rules and can get a negative tag if detected. Selling Merit can also be considered as buying a higher rank.

selling accounts is not against the rules.
selling merit is against the rules. ( at least based on the OP)

and as i explained above, trading these two have different objectives and consequences, therefore when the forum "allows" account sales and "disallow" merit sale i do not see any contradictions unlike what the OP thinks.

7168  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have 10 merit to give for Jr.Members and newbies on: January 30, 2019, 12:47:41 AM
I want it please.

and i want to marry Kim  Roll Eyes

do not beg for merit, you will get yourself in trouble.

---------------------------------------------------------

10th merit was given out.

Merit count = 0

I hope the 10 guys who got merit will keep posting some good content, and those who did not, don't feel sad, just stick to quality posts, eventually you will get there, also note that my judgment is different from others, some might think it's worth merit, but honestly i just didn't think so.

sadly i will have to lock this topic , tho i wish i could keep it so that other members can merit those new posts if they think they worth meriting, but the mistake i made was not making a self-moderated thread, and some people clearly don't read local rules, therefore i have to lock this.

Good luck everyone.

7169  Other / Meta / Re: Why my thread has been moved to Off-Topic ?? on: January 30, 2019, 12:38:10 AM
I think some Mods decide these things based on many factors, the type of breakfast they had could be one of the reasons, i can't tell for sure, your topic is very similar to mine , mine has been there for a while, nobody bothered moving it. i don't know the reason why to be honest, and i doubt you will get a very straight-forward answer , the only thing that might happen is that they will move my topic to off-topics too , which if would make you feel any better, i will do it myself  Grin
7170  Other / Meta / Re: Contradictory rules, account sell VS merit sell. On addition trust view to guest on: January 30, 2019, 12:25:13 AM
Account trading is not only punished by DT because of misusing a green trusted account, it's also for misusing sMerit and gaining a high ranked account without any effort (and therefore gaming the Merit system). I agree to OP that the rules can be clarified and we should add a rule about Merit sales.

if Ranks and Merit matters in DT decisions, then they would tag every legendary who has less than 1000 earned merit ! people can also argue that those who got air-dropped merit got it without any considerable efforts. some of them have not manged to earn a single merit up to this point.

Account rank: are directly connected to trade/trust/scam , simply because high rank accounts are more trusted.
Merit : are not directly to related to trade/trust/scam , simply because many low rank members have more merit than high rank members but they are still untrusted simply due to their rank.

you know this when you visit the market place, most vouch copies are given to Legendary and Hero accounts ( regardless of their merit score), people there do not care about merit and i don't see a reason why they should to be honest, more merit does not mean more trust, neither higher rank , but for some reason the rank seem to give more trust.

You might want to mention this is basically an antminer guide because almost every topic you linked is antminer specific.

well there is this > Avalon 741  Grin , but you are right

well , Bitmain sadly dominate the mining industry, also more than 90% of topics in the mining support are antminer related, i can't come up with my own issues related to non-antminer miners, if you have an topics that you suggest adding post away, i'll add them, as i mentioned i could use some help, this is not a 1 man job.

There is a guide from Bitmain...

thanks , added

you should considering doing a vouch from a long standing, trusted member. Will defo help you out in terms of sales going forward, considering your a new member

vouch copy does not mean shit when trading gc , any scammer can give a legit 50$ gf , get the vouch and scam 10 members. even escrow is not really safe dealing with gc, he could still deliver the gc, and once he gets the funds he can charge back his cc and say it was stolen, this ofcourse if the gf was not already stolen.

long story short, trading gc is extermly risky and i'd simply say that 90% of gc sellers are scammers.

theymos is a human being, he needs money just like anybody else (unless he is satoshi Grin ,) i suppose the forum is his full-time job, who would work for free? would you ?  also you are enjoying the forum for free, i suppose you have no idea how much it cost to keep this shit up and running, so if we as members don't pay for it , who will ? somebody has to fund the forum so why are you whining? go ahead make a similar forum ads-free and invite it us, we will leave theymos alone here.
7174  Other / Meta / Re: Contradictory rules, account sell VS merit sell. On addition trust view to guest on: January 29, 2019, 11:45:32 PM
I do not see any contradiction in the rules.

buying/selling an account is not a 'crime' in itself, it's more or less it's like selling a knife to somebody that you don't know, while it may be sold to a housewife who will use it to cut tomato, it could also be a 10 years old that could misuse it terribly.

The main reason why many members of the community think that accounts sales are scam related, is because most of those account buyers tend to misuse the reputation of that account to attempt scam, if this forum had no trading related stuff, then account sales would not be as discouraged as it is now.

selling merit however is a different story its like selling the gun to that 10 year old kid while you know it, merit is supposed to distinguish quality posters vs shit posters, by buying merit you obtain a good quality member status while being a shit-posters, which in the long run will make the merit system useless, therefore a shitposter might have a better "quality" status than a top notch member.

7175  Bitcoin / Mining support / Most Common Mining Issues, Read Before Making a New Post. on: January 29, 2019, 11:01:12 PM
Due to the huge amount of redundant topics in the mining support board , also the “words” used in describing the issues can be very hard to search for, many members have topics with titles such as “help needed” and then they post an image showing their problem, these topics are almost impossible to be found, therefore I  wanted to make a sort of collection for most common issues in one thread.
I could also use some help, if you think that there are more topics that need to be added, please post away so that i can add them, also if you have any suggestions for better tittles to these topics feel free to suggest.

Before you post anything asking for help, please ensure that you have done the following:

1-   Reboot the miner ( many issues can be solved by simply rebooting the miner)
2-   Flush a different firmware
3-   Reset the miner, you have to try these 3 methods > https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003595387-How-to-reset-miner-to-factory-settings-
4-   Reboot your router/switch.
5-   Try a different PSU

Many issues can be solved by the 5 methods mentioned above.

7176  Other / Meta / Re: [parody] Merit Backstabbers: who stabbed who in the back the most? on: January 28, 2019, 10:37:49 PM
this has always been a question in mind - are we somehow morally obligated to return merit to those who merit out posts? this might not be the case with merit sources, but the other members who have small number of sMerit to be sent, it is a good question, assuming i have a single sMerit, and i see 2 good posts (one by a member who gave me merit), i usually feel like i should return the "favor",even if their posts is slightly less deserving.

* i know this is not how we should spend our sMerit but we are human beings after all Shocked.

maybe we should just hide who merited who so that we don't feel like we backstabbing one another?

7177  Other / Serious discussion / Re: I can't trade the channels. on: January 28, 2019, 10:27:40 PM
I've just found out about the MACD, and of course, I will have to learn how to use it. Hopefully it will help me to get a whopper ( wait, that isn't McDonalds is it ) before I lose my chips. Lets hope I can make some buffalo wraps rather than chicken wraps, and I can pick up some golden nuggets.

Ignoring that frivolity, a MACD is The Moving Average Convergence Divergence, and it relates to the divergence between a long period EMA and a short period EMA, and it can provide a buy or sell indication. More info when I've watched the video, and I tried to use it.

here is a good explanation on MACD > https://www.babypips.com/learn/forex/macd

also i would suggest you use Stoch RSI along side with MACD as the stoch rsi reacts faster to price movement, the cross usually happens on SR before it does on MACD,  also notice that these indicators are fairly inaccurate on small time frames, and it's always best to use these indicators as a confirmation based on a more solid signs ( Support and Resistance ).

7178  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 2.5nm transistors produced: Thoughts on them & miners? on: January 27, 2019, 08:41:50 PM
one thing we know for sure is that market conditions are essential to any major improvements in the industry, as you mentioned sales of current 7nm miners are not that promising,  at this point 16nm miners (s9) are getting more of the over sales than the 7nm based miners. simply due to cost per TH.

also from a technical stand point , those 2.5 nm have a very long way to get  to mass production level, i think from now till end of 2020 we will only see minor to medium improvements on the 7nm.
7179  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: whatsminr m3x problem! on: January 27, 2019, 08:28:49 PM
first thing, move the topic to mining support.

second thing, there are a few common causes for your problem, you need to troubleshoot them 1 by 1

1- The pool suck! try another pool.
2- make sure you chose a pool server that is in a close location to yours, if you are in USA you don't want a server in east Europe.
3- your miner is over-clocked, many shares get rejected/stale.
4- your router drops some packets, check your router firewall, try a different router.

-----------------------------------

you must understand that the pool has no way of seeing the hashrate on your miner, it makes the calculation based on the shares your miner submits, so whenever you see lower hashrate on the pool than on your miner, it simply means the shares are not getting delivered and accepted by the pool.
7180  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Pools Profitability Graph, in real-time? on: January 27, 2019, 04:15:59 PM

The question is , why do you need users to register to use your website? it is silly. notice that you are not providing the users with ability to post or upload things to your website, therefore you should not worry about registrations.

the service you are providing is something close to whattomine ,coinwarz or anything mining-calculation related, you do not expect us to login to use such a service.

i am not accusing you for anything here, but just a word of advice, if you want to generate some profit, put some ads on the webiste. and let everybody use it without the need of registration.

edit: my bad, yes you do allow people to provide data, but still really not a good enough reason for registration. people don't get to make money posting fake results, neither registration ensure the integrity of the information they provide. thus i still think it's unnecessary.

appreciate the efforts tho.
