If this was truly holding to government policy, wound't it fall under the SEC ruling? I've invested, but I'm concerned about it falling into a very grey area. I'm really hoping it's legit, as I'd rather not have thrown my money away, but we'll just have to wait and see at this point.

I think many people and funds will be extremely happy to have secured a decent stash of Tokens right at this stage at $1. NAC is registered with American Banking Association and AML BitCoin will be 100% compliant to pay with for merchants, businesses and even accessible for institutional money. Last week we have seen CME Group creating a door for institutional money to invest in Bitcoin and see what happened. Those fundmanagers are waiting for AML/KYC solutions so they can follow financial ethics and comply with laws. AML BitCoin intends to be a financial gateway that makes it easier for institutional money to transact with cryptocurrencies. And they will be able to do that for minimal transaction fee's. I think BTC will tank to the $6k or so mark, before slowly climbing back up. I doubt it will hit 10K this year. May be wrong, but with the hardfork nonsense out of the way, people are moving funds back into atls.

If you haven't been taking advantage of the alts tanking, do so quickly, because the rebound will probably be pretty quick not that the 2x fork has been cancelled.

This is definitely a disappointing development. The AML team could do the right thing and give early adopters bonus tokens to compensate for the inconvenience. Hopefully that's all it will be "an inconvenience" and not a bate and switch.

You'll need to do a little Googling to find your cards hashing rate, as it doesn't list the 960s anymore. That said, if you can find out your ETH hashing rate, you can easily enter it manually on WTM. Take http://whattomine.com/coins/211-pirl-ethash as an example. If your hashing rate is 30MHs adjust the hash rate box, set your power costs and hit calculate. It won't be super precise, but it will provide good directional info. Good luck. |

I've said it once and I'll say it again. HODL. This is a long term investment. Some folks will always pump and dump right after launch, but this isn't just another "thin air" ico. Once it starts being used as an effective token for trading electricity, we'll see steady growth.

While BTC is climbing like crazy at the moment, it could take a nose dive after the 2x fork. BTC has strong investors behind it, especially with Wall St brokerages jumping onboard, however BTC primary risk is community infighting and frivolous forks like BTG and the lack of replay protection on 2x.

Not sure where this noob idea sprouted from. devops199 is not a noob. It was a bug in the Parity multi-sig code that allocated the 1000 ETH to his account. When he removed his contract code, instead of returning the ETH to their original holders, it locked them up with no way to recover them, bar a hard fork similar to the post DAO classic split.
Question is, will there be a hardfork, and what will the medium term effect on price be?

Sia isn't going anywhere (e.g. not being removed). Alt's all look devalued if you look at the BTC rate. However if you look at fiat values, Sia is pretty stable.
Sia is pretty stable at the moment. With all the new coins being minted, without a way for them to be properly 'spent' is probably stopping the price from rising. When the asics start hitting the market, who knows what that will do to sia! Time will tell. I for one can't wait to get my Obelisk up and running. I know a lot of folks here aren't too fond of ASICS but having mined with graphics cards, I'm looking forward to the lower electricity bills and lower heat generation (mining with GPUs in the desert isn't ideal). |
