IMHO,
first step could be for SD to use compressed keys... you still have 1/4th of informational transactions, but at least they use less space.

That said: - memory consumption seems to happen less when using stratum (I've been using it for two days now and memory is stable around 400 Mb) - upload traffic and "peers sent a transaction already known" should be addressed, if possible. spiccioli |

Di sicuro non ne sono arrivati tanti (come ha detto cedivad saranno una decina in tutto: anzi so di gente piuttosto arrabbiata perchè ne aveva ordinati 3 e se ne è visto recapitare 1 solo). L'hashrate, a parte un picco isolato qualche giorno fa, è praticamente ai livelli di novembre/dicembre. L'incremento è quasi sicuramente dovuto principalmente al fatto che con i bitcoin a 30$ per molti minare è di nuovo conveniente: un piccolo rig da 600MHash oggi rende (negli USA o dove la corrente costa poco) circa 40$ al mese puliti e visto che l'hardware c'è tanto vale usarlo (qui da noi non conviene ancora purtroppo).
La stima della prossima difficoltà è scesa da 4,2 milioni a 3,9 milioni in un paio di giorni (e se continua così scenderà ancora).

Last but not least, add a power cycle button, on CM1s you need to remove pcie connector and usb connetor to power cycle them. Remove power from usb connector, makes life easier finding a usb hub and, maybe, a different usb chip which does not lockup when powering boards on like it happens on a couple of my CM1s. spiccioli |

Looking sweet Yohan, no need to re-invent the wheel  . Don't leave it too long though, some of us have their fingers hovering over the order button. I would much rather send my money your way than BFL's but time is money as they say. The nice thing is that they've proven they can go from concept to working product relatively quickly. True, but now they have to rush it, since difficulty is already rising fast. And they have to have chips which cost less than 25 USD/GHs (Avalon price of 1500 USD/60 GHs) and/or use a lot less power than Avalons spiccioli |

I have reason to believe it is exactly that. Seems to be working well.
Given the big numbers these things throw up for now, I'm thinking I should add a line to the payout logic which pays out if more than 1 BTC is owed rather than waiting 24 hours.

Never received an order email, order numbers, or anything like that, just a response from walletbit saying the payment was "ok" and I should "await a response from avalon". I was not registered as a user on walletbit, I just did their quick pay. I did send the payment link I used off to you in an email (it was stored in my history after I paid).
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner but I am able to confirm that your order has been successfully paid for. It appears the information is correct but Avalon will have to verify this with you personally. If you could contact their support desk they should be able to assist you in final confirmation of your order. If there is anything else I can do for you please let me know.

there was, but due to several issues when it happened I do not think it carried out its intended purpose. those who have gotten the new shinny confirm emails for batch two can send a reply stating their shipping choice.
What does it mean if we haven't received a confirmation email? nothing as of yet, since I'm still sending them out, however once I say something like "Ok I've caught up with all the walletbit tickets and sycn'd up the system" if you still haven't gotten a confirm email you should probably send me a pm with your order email. Anche perche' il BTC e' una moneta e come tale andrebbe usata; se lo usiamo solo come proxy per paypal o altra forma di pagamento... tanto vale usare paypal direttamente e amen. Non sono d'accordo, è una moneta e un sistema di pagamento. E' il mercato che decide quale dei 2 usare e se entrambi. Avete ragione entrambi in un certo senso: se viene usato principalmente come proxy l'utilità diminuisce molto in quanto aumenta esclusivamente gli intermediari e i costi di gestione. Però ha ragione anche HostFat più possibilità di spendere bitcoin ci sono più è probabile che la gente sia invogliata a usarli e soprattutto più è facile che qualcuno voglia adottarli come forma di pagamento. Quindi secondo me ben venga un servizio come questo. Sono d'accordo... con me e con voi Ovvero, piu' ci sono modi di spenderli e piu' e' facile che si diffondano, non ci piove! Quello che io non credo funzioni e' fare l'intermediario in transazioni tra btc e beni reali passando per una qualche trasformazione btc->altra valuta. Esempio: bitmit.net e' perfetta, e' un sostituto/concorrente di ebay (pur se molto in piccolo), dove non c'e' intermediario tra chi vende e chi compera. Invece servizi di proxy per ebay non mi pare ci siano proprio per lo stesso motivo: transazioni a basso valore + commissioni all'intermediario + maggiori casini in caso di problemi. spiccioli |

Is anybody able to see their Batch 2 order in the Avalon ASIC Store, or even a Shipping (or Billing) address?
I was considering another order tmrw but am now even more hesitant due to this order status situation - (WalletBIt confirmed, Avalon MIA - no helpdesk / email response).
I paid for two units in batch 2, I have support ticket #143 on support.avalon-asic.com that tells me my order is Okay, but now if I login in store.avalon-asics.com I see no order number.... do I need to open another ticket on support? spiccioli |

Interessante anche l' idea di Hostfat di utilizzare Paypal per l' acquisto finale. Ma secondo voi, Paypal, nel momento in cui un venditore fosse nel torto, sapendo la natura del business, a chi darà ragione ?
Mi spiego meglio. Immaginiamo che il cliente ordini tramite noi la sua pizza al formaggio, effettua il pagamento in BTC e quindi noi procediamo con l' ordine verso la pizzeria pagando con paypal. Sfortunatamente la pizzeria consegna la pizza solo due ore dopo, e come se non bastasse consegna una pizza al tonno. Il cliente rifiuta e richiede i soldi indietro. Noi che siamo dei gentiluomini restituiamo i btc al cliente, e con calma richiediamo un chargeback a paypal. Paypal effettua le sue verifiche e ..... trova noi che siamo un intermediario in bitcoin. E qui nascono i miei dubbi in quanto probabilmente paypal darà comunque ragione alla pizzeria, anche se è in torto, pur di provocarci un danno. E' solo una mia idea !!! Per evitare questi problemi basterebbe fare come il servizio che ho trovato che ha delle clausole di esclusione di responsabilità per casi come questo: non sono responsabili per errori o ritardi, cibo scadente ed eventuali rimborsi sono subordinati al fatto che questi vengano accettati dai gestori del ristorante o della carta. Secondo me questi servizi di intermediazione, con passaggio btc->qualche altra forma di pagamento->oggetto reale non sono realizzabili perche', per oggetti di poco valore il margine non c'e', per oggetti di alto valore... l'acquirente compra direttamente e ha piu' garanzie in tutti i sensi. Cosa diversa e' se un gestore di pizzeria, che gia' prende ordini per consegne a domicilio, decide di accettare BTC per le sue pizze. Allora, per lui, tutto diventa semplice, accetta i btc e quando vuole/ne ha abbastanza li cambia in euro. Non c'e' intermediario, non c'e' problema di passaggi di responsabilita' e cosi' via. Anche perche' il BTC e' una moneta e come tale andrebbe usata; se lo usiamo solo come proxy per paypal o altra forma di pagamento... tanto vale usare paypal direttamente e amen. spiccioli |
