Maybe it's just me and where i am from, the south. But shouldn't luck be called production? IE more work/stuff getting made in the same amount of time? For example PPS pays a flat rate no matter how production your miner has done in X amount of time. But PPLNS is like you'll paid buy how much work you get done in X amount of time, sometimes more (more BTC) sometimes less (less then PPS pays out).. Kinda like being hourly workers at a plant vs managers who are on yearly salaries.

Let me know if i am off.. or just wayyy off  Cry

first off thanks!  i can mine finally btc with my 1 gh/s.

next seems we cant change the diff via the web page my rejects were 33% so i tried raising it. set it to 8 on website and closed miner and reload it.. still @ 2 diff. But i can live with it Smiley

Also are all the merged mining alts coins in yet?

Thanks and great job!  Grin

The share difficulty is refreshed from the db every 5 minutes.

No merge yet.  We can merge as many coins as we want, but I'm not seeing the benefit of merging DVC or IXC at this time, as they're only 0.01% and 0.07% of BTC profitability at the moment.  My opinion is that the additional stales generated by merging those two coins would not be worth it.  So we'll just be doing NMC at the beginning.

Well its been ~ 45 mins + closed miner and restarted.. still @ 2 diff, is 2 diff the lowest we can go? got it set to 1 on website

1 word.. ok maybe 2 words.. Altcoin mining.

Mine alt coins and use the 100 of exchanges out there to trade for btc.

Back to scrypt for a moment, what do people think of TagCoin?

put all these up for mining, they give us interest on all deposits including btc interest Tongue

https://mcxnow.com

O and thanks for fixing NVC for me   Grin

I'm pretty sure we already mine all the mcxnow scrypt coins.  DVC merged mining is coming soon.

Missing quite a few:

PrimeCoin - XPM

CopperLark -  CLR

Solidcoin - SBC

Devcoin - DVC

also glade you plan on moving btc off the MP rotation Tongue Also also , might as well add all the merged mining coins to the mix not just DVC,NMC anyone? And the other dozen or so merged mining coins i cant think of.

Keep up the good work .. Smiley might just add more gh/s this way Smiley

728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: November 06, 2013, 03:58:39 AM

3rd thought its taking wayyyy to long to submit shares... ~ 5 mins per share = not good @ 47 diff @ 1 gh/s

729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: November 06, 2013, 02:55:16 AM

Payouts were just calculated for the first block..  Let me know if anything doesn't look right.  I'm going to pay all the shares in the DB until we reach 30 BTC of rewards.

So does this mean we all are going to get paid the shares we have submitted for the past month, or just the 1's scene p2p started today?

Almost there , keep up the good work..

732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: November 06, 2013, 12:54:01 AM
well i was able to post 51 mh/s out of 1000 Smiley

and the diff just keeps going all over the board , at one time i was 1k diff Sad my poor poor usb miners..

26 mins mining and got in 7 shares .. Tongue
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: November 06, 2013, 12:36:31 AM
well seems you added btc back to mp, which is fine but it's not showing any shares/etc on the stats page, anyway what's going to happen to all the shares we submitted past month (for me 2 weeks Smiley.  Oh are you going to remove btc off the multipool rotation ?

PS

using the port 8888 for multipool and not submitting any shares seems my diff is set to 411 for 1 gh/s .. mommy

734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: November 05, 2013, 10:29:15 PM
We have (very basic) DB connectivity from p2pool!

mysql> select username,sum(difficulty) from shares group by username;
+----------------+-----------------+
| username       | sum(difficulty) |
+----------------+-----------------+
| flound1129.bfl |            1811 |
+----------------+-----------------+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)

Following flounder's 'no major changes before sleeping' rule, p2pool on BTC will be enabled tomorrow.  Tonight is the last night to claim the block bounty!

If this works out well, I may enable it for LTC as well.

If it works for ltc why not add for NVC and ftc or even make the whole multipool p2pool friendly.  More hashrate means more coins found for us.  Would be another thing that makes our pool standout.

+1

Agree, also my nvc is still stuck in limbo Sad
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: November 04, 2013, 08:02:23 PM
Coin       Balance            Value (BTC)
NVC        0.01702970           0.00031817    Requested

I am thinking if it was too low then why allow the request?

If you can't send just cancel the request then please Smiley

736  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: November 04, 2013, 04:49:10 AM
Well if you want any outside mining to come in the private pool, you REALLY need to lower the Diff from 512 , it took 8 mins to submitted 1 share , what happens if block is found in that 8 min window ..

737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: November 04, 2013, 03:34:40 AM
Any reason my nvc payment hasn't gone out yet? requested it over  24 hours ago  Cry

Still showing as requested under payments section.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: November 02, 2013, 04:28:54 PM
NVC is doing a lot better the Litecoin at the moment
https://btc-e.com/exchange/nvc_usd

$3.98 for NVC
$2.36 for LTC

EDIT: (At time of writing)

Yep and check the diff on NVC you could mine 4 or 5 times more other coins in the time it took you to mine 1 NVC.

Just off the top of my head, but you could probable mine 3 or 4 ltc in the time it would take you to mine 1 NVC coin.
