Opening new thread because the issue is different from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=270716.0Dear Bitstamp clients,
We are pleased to inform you that Bitstamp has successfully resolved both (1) the networking issues that made our site unavailable and (2) our issues with our banking software.
Bitstamp has caught up with all pending deposits and withdrawals. Only standard banking processing should remain in delivering your transfers. We kindly ask our customers with pending transfers to remain patient and refrain from submitting additional support tickets on the matter to avoid any unnecessary delays.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards, The Bitstamp team (source: http://www.bitstamp.net/news) Has anybody so far reported not being able to WITHDRAW funds from Bitstamp?
Yes! Still no wire from Bitstamp. Request date: 12/11 amount: $21k they replied to my support ticket (deposted a few honderd euros more than 2 weeks ago) and askedmy to send a bank statement. I did that and now they are looking into it. Hope it will be resolved soon!
In my case a friend has a SEPA deposit to BitStamp that was executed by his bank on the 19th. No news so far. He opened a support ticket. I have one that was executed by my bank today. I'll report when I get news. Please do the same. NB: BitStamp has never failed me to date and has always communicated issues promptly. I hope we can bury this thread soon. NB2: I have no support ticket for my transfer of today, of course. It's too early to open one. Hopefully I won't need one. EDIT: My deposit confirmed 22.11.2013. EDIT2: My friend is such a n00b. He never sent the money. He assumed BitStamp was going to take it automatically from his bank

I just logged in for the laughs, and checked that the balances are still zero. I'm quite sure I had last logged in at the beginning of May. That's just above 6 months.

Predictable vs unpredictable.
Predictable because lots of new suckers have entered the market. Like in April. So they are likely going to bleed the same way. Unpredictable because most people can see the resemblance to April. So they will try to profit from that knowledge, likely generating a different result this time.

At first it was 500 internal server error. Now turned into "owner has denied your access to the site.". Tried from a different IP, same story.
On an hopefully unrelated topic, it seems no one has been able to deposit/withdraw any money since about a week. I know their twitter post about "problems with our banking software" but in bitcoinland that is a warning signal even when the exchange has a clean record of being punctual and professional, as BitStamp does.
I have a few grand trapped there and I'm quite worried.
EDIT: sorry for duplicate topic. I had this post open for long before posting.

Maybe the Chinese traders, favoured by having no fees on BTCChina, are trying to outsmart the market and perform the pump and dump en masse...

... to prove the point to the Senate that bitcoins are just funny money.
Thoughts?

Just saying. Down since 10 minutes and I feel like a kid who got lost in a shopping mall

so what should we understand from this??
they are not cheaters but just fucked up by the system?
As annoyed as I am with Mt. Gox, that still strikes me as the strongest hypothesis. The reason is still that it would make little sense for Mt. Gox to fuck up their reputation and marketshare when they had a damn good and very profitable thing going. Someone important told me that the lawyers he chose are not the best ones in the field, yet he refused any external offer for help.

OP, I suppose it's time to change the subject into "I RESTORED my faith in Blockchain.info"

Boy, you lost me at "Bitcoin is definitely"

I propose that single men pay double. Ladies are free. This encourages a more balanced gender distribution.
Edit: There is always room to put it nicer.
With such a high concentration of male nerds just become millionaires at the party, if word of it goes out, I would expect to see many husband-hunting "ladies" joining. (hello everyone. Can I join the party?)

RED ALERT: About to hit quadruple digits, a huge psychological barrier.
*It might happen today, or it might take days or even weeks - but probably days
Let's hope for a week at least. Today evening, China time, i.e. in ~5 hours. Just my guess. 4 hours it is. Done

There is very little volume so price is going up fast with only a few buys and no asks. I am condescending if I say where such behaviour usually leads to?
Or maybe a few entities with deep pockets are staging some hell of a crash in order to harm the bitcoin economy.

I'm just thinking that when everyone's partying and there are no bears left I start smelling blood. In other words I see no reason for this price move up. Baidu news? Naah, that address only got a few transactions and lots of spam. So wtf is going on? To da moon? new paradigm? 300kUSD/xBT? The singularity? Don't think so. Time to move some coins from cold walled to Stamp.

delete this please. Brain fart. It turns out I stubbornly entered the same incorrect address 5 times in a row.

Bitstamp, btc-e, and coinbase all seem to be doing just fine.
I see at least as many complaints about them as Gox. I've personally used all of them, and find no issues with btc-e nor bitstamp in any capacity. My only issue with coinbase was limits, but they have fixed that problem since. EDIT: And just FYI, EUR withdraw from bitstamp took 1 night the last time i did one (last week). You are not everyone. True, but are you trying to say that the aforementioned exchanges are having withdraw delays? I don't see anybody reporting that. I've seen them on #bitcoin-otc. Don't remember if they specified fiat vs BTC withdrawals. pics (or logs) or it didn't happen. I'm verified with bitstamp and it has always worked great for me.

Update: bitstamp feed appears to be updated on bitcoincharts again, apparently without any history loss.
