For me. I'm finished with this coin. No trust any more.

Hi guys, my friend and I bought some BCN yesterday on the HITBTC exchange. After the buy he send it to his wallet, but never showed up. There is nothing showing anymore on hitbtc, he send in a ticket but till now we wait for an answer.
Any of you know what this could be, why it is not showing in our wallet? Thanks!
If transfering coins, expecially into new wallets, allways try a fraction first! Do you have made a wallet backup?

... Congrats! Why did he place this challange to me?
Ha Ha because your English is all garbled. You will do the same if we are on a German thread. Thanks, my foreign language skills have never been well enough.

I have owned both coins almost from the day they were first traded, and know there is good distribution on both, but the trading right now is purely pumping and dumping by a few people and not good for the image of the coins. You might remember how CAP was traded on cryptsy, one person virtually controlled the market, and if you stepped in with an order you would get run over, same now on cap and hbn. CAP got a reputation as being kind of sleazily traded and the coin crashed every time it started to take off. It's very nice if somebody wants to make a quick buck like that, but people should pay attention to the long term interests of the coin as well. That trading does not help.
You are wrong. The group of all rebalancers are controlling the market. If I'm the only rebalancer, than me is the only person who is controlling the market. And all others will deliver.

Ein Anteil repräsentiert 0,1 BTC oder weniger. Demnach ist der "Bitcoin Investment Trust" Anteil doppelt überteuert. Aber das beste ist, es ist nur ein Derivat, das ist total krank.

My dream is a coin, where every single individuum can solve one block a week, and gets a reward for it, which could be seen as a basic income. My main problem is, to hinder people, to register more than once.
|
|
|
In a later step the usage information could be used to determine the block size automatically. The mean could be around 3 minute block interval, and if usage spikes drives block interval to 1 minute over a longer time, block size could be enlarged. Or if low usage drives the block interval to 10 minutes for a longer time, block size could be reduced.
(I cannot say if this is technically solvable. But if the suggestions follow sustainable economic rules, they should be consistant and fit together)
|
|
|
If my suggestion is realized properly, it should lead to faster transfer times on high usage spikes, that is an opposite behaviour as the bitcoin is doing (and perhaps all other altcoins at this time).
It also could prevent an attack through filling up the mempool, this would become expensive. To make this work, the time interval between blocks should depend on the accumulated fees in the mempool.
|
|
|
The block generation frequency could depend on the mempool size. Or, if spam is taken into account, it could depend on the accumulated fees in the mempool. (block generation frequency should depend on as little metrics as possible)

Current requests:
Change S4C to 100% - I think I will likely do 75 or 90% for the first change. Then if that goes well change to 100%. But I can bump it, yes. Lower CPU - This will be one of the first one. Multiple changes for this. Lower Memory - Most important but also most difficult. Will take much time, but will begin to investigate this and see what can be done. Need help from the crowd on this one. What POS coins are out there that have the least memory? New coins don't count. Have to have few years under their belt.
What else?
For info above... HYP is at 1028083 blocks with 462MB memory usage. HBN is at 5242362 blocks with 2.2GB... so the memory usage is about equal per block... Right on, so are there any that are lower per block? Mint, nvc, black coin, ppc? Ect... For me a natural way is to make the block creation frequency variable, between 1 minute an 10 minutes, for example. The question is, what could this frequency depend on?

I just bought a bunch. I had been eyeballing this coin for awhile. Happy I finally pulled the trigger.
On another note, if I have say 100k lot of coins, random number of course, and I want to generate the maximum number of coins every 10 days do I need to break up the coins into smaller lots of say 2 or 3k within 20 or 30 addresses. Since the max pos reward, based on what I've read is 250 is that what I need to do. Or can I leave all 100k coins into 1 address and as long as I leave that 1 address staking continously 24/7 will that work just as well?
This is my configuration file for a continuously running node (v1.5.1.0). A stake reward of nearly 250 coins is reached with it (though my processor load is rather high). If you power on your PC from time to time, configure the half or even smaller. splitthresold=8600 combinethresold=4300

Wow, thanks. PM me your BTC address. As soon as I get mine up and running again I will float them to you!
My pleasure. Keep the bitcoins.

So before I do anything I want to increase my exposure, otherwise it isn't worth my while.
Looking to buy 1 million HBN. If you can trade in blocks of 100k or more you may message me. My price is 0.00000080
Tranz, give me an address here in public, I will send you at least half a million. F21LFwfdqmsaZStJaxrMphTi9fhBn7bFps still working on btc could be few days or so.. Finished, around 600k HBN sent. It's a donation, you will never get any constraint by me. Take your time.
