721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Substratum (SUB) suffers a similar vulnerability as the Oyster (PRL) scam on: November 03, 2018, 04:47:14 PM
if he overlook this problem then his project will not success because it has a problem with its code

The issue here is that the vast majority of people who buy in to ICOs and tokens don't read the smart contract, and probably don't have the knowledge to understand what they were reading even if they did read it. The vulnerability in Oyster Pearl has been sitting there since their ICO - not a single person who sent them money bothered to read the contract and pick it up. The vulnerability in Substratum is the same.

These projects prove that not only can your smart contract be poorly written, it can literally be designed entirely to let you pull off an exit scam, and it doesn't matter. Idiots won't read it and will continue to send you their money because they read some baseless shilling. I am not sure how many projects need to turn out to be blatant scams before people will smarten up a bit.
Is it possible that these ICOs outsourced their smart contract creation to the same freelancer or just blatantly copied from the same source and hence the reason why they both have similiar vulnerabilities?
Don't know which scenario is more terrifying
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Scam oyster PRL on: November 03, 2018, 12:23:50 PM
The price was pumped in the last month of 400% .... to sell the 3 million token at a good price ... Bruno can not have done everything by himself ..... it's a scam organized by more ' people

In my opinion the whole team is involved ..... but they put the blame on the anonymous Bruno

I am really surprise on the pump of PRL at coinmarketcap when it reaches +1,609.62% as I type in this message. I immediately check those links at coinmarketcap and confirmed the issue. Coinsuper also decided to immediately suspend deposits, withdrawals and trading for PRL to minimize the scam. I agree with your statement, the whole team is involved to this or maybe only part of them and using "Bruno" to hide their shady business. This altcoin is doom and will surely be dumped hard by their investors and holders. Trust is cryptocurrency is the real deal and this type of drama is nothing new when scamming their investors.
Heard the team token unlock was just round the corner. It's quite possible that Bruno could have acted alone by psyching the team into organizing a few pump operations ahead of the unlocks for them to sell at good rates. Leveraging other people's greed to your own cause is the oldest con in the book
723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Annual Profitablity Holding Altcoins on: November 03, 2018, 12:19:45 PM
Most MN out there are not really cutting it anymore.
MN was such a hyped word during the bull run, but baring a few who've either grown too big to fail (for now) or those with genuine use cases, most MN are just a waste. I've had better luck picking and holding a few alts rather than running MN
724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Scam oyster PRL on: November 03, 2018, 10:13:50 AM
Completely baffles me how they could have overlooked that mint function despite having their smart contract audited thrice. Either the companies that audited the contract are grossly incompetent or there's a collusion somewhere.
Don't know which is more terrifying.

Stealing this from here. But...

From their official response here : https://medium.com/oysterprotocol/oyster-update-b813390ce10e

Or more so this quote :

Quote
Despite Oyster passing three separate smart contract audits, we were told by Bruno Block, the original founder and chief architect of the project, that the directorship of the token contract had to remain open so that the peg could be adjusted over time.

It's clear they actually knew that the minting function existed, but were told by "Bruno" that it was necessary to keep it there. So essentially three times, they were probably told that this minting function was dangerous but were told by the architect to keep it (Who then stole 300k USD worth of tokens).
Working all these months with an anonymous founder is bad enough. However, it still doesn't explain the motives behind someone wanting to sabotage their own project when the evidence can easily be traced back to them.
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | STASH | Digital Money For Everyone on: November 03, 2018, 07:00:25 AM
I think that after registering tokens in our wallets (which is already finished), no one will sell it. In addition, developers do not recomend to make movements with STP.
Everyone is waiting for the launch of the network in order to exchange their tokens for coins, in an amount equivalent to the moment of registration.
For this reason, exchangers for the token, now, do not matter. After the launch of the network, the question of liquidity will be more important.
Yes. Everything now depends on the blockchain launch. Question of liquidity, on the other hand, can be solved by OTC. Not recommended though, but seem a few holders of other coins engage in OTC in order to accommodate new holders
726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My 10x-100x bet in a year on: November 02, 2018, 03:18:48 PM
Better to pay special attention of the short term gains on different tokens. As BTC is still fletting it is hight time to make several XX on tokens. Take a look at Aeron project. Im expecting a very big spike up in price due to the fact ARN is needed to get new tokens ( team is conducting a very generous airdrop for ARN holders - details is here https://medium.com/@aeronaero/cryptobonusmiles-gleam-io-157d4c1c2641 ). People will buy a lot of tokens in the last days to get new tokens for free and it will lead to good price growth I think. But in long term vision all the market will be in this shape for next few monthes for sure
Agree with you dude! It was the same while BCH and Ignis snapshots. In the last days of the airdrop campaigns there was the biggest growth of the coin that was obligatory for getting the drop. The same will be here for sure, it high time for picking up sone ARN tokens for sure
Well, I would agree. Last time with BitcoinCash we observed a very big pump in the first day after snapshot. I guess the CBM will make a huge growth as well and it is a reason to pick up some aeron now to get some CBM after token distribution
You guys do know you're basing your assumptions on a fad that died out the beginning of this year. Forks, big exchange listings, snapshots, and even partnership and roadmap achievements have done very little to do most cryptos any good.
Personally, the only bag I deem worth holding will be LINK.
727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | STASH | Digital Money For Everyone on: November 01, 2018, 07:49:34 PM
Yeah forkdelta is the only place for now but what happened with the nebula exchange? I thought that exchange was going to have decent volume there was some hype behind it but it seems it's not a successful exchange.
Launched with all sorts of bugs. Then the founders, who are also the founders of Chaintrade, decided to marry Nebula and Chaintrade under one ecosystem via a reverse, token swap ICO thingy. Everything seemed to have gone under from there on
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ADAB - First Islamic Crypto Exchange, based on the Shariah norms on: November 01, 2018, 08:24:58 AM
It is nice to get in again at nearly the top of the new page  Grin

Adab Haraam exchange = scam

Just think about it  for a moment. If the Adab Team cannot check the "purity of the source of the money" that investors send, or if the Adab Team cannot check the "moral standing of each investor" then they can continue to create their exchange but they should remove the word "Shariah".

Would you invest in an ICO for a Vegan cake baking company called "Vegan Cakes For All"? Sure why not if it is a good investment?

But if that "Vegan Cakes For All" company was using using cows milk in all of its Sponge Cake products and using pork fat in all of its Carrot Cake products then how can that company called itself "Vegan Cakes For All"? If they want to trade then remove the word "Vegan" and call yourself "Cakes For All" because they are lying and misleading and scamming therefore are thieves.

The moment they drop the word "Vegan" they seize being lying, misleading, scammers and thieves and become a legitimate business.

I hope you like the vegan-shariah analogy  Grin

This project will not be successful long term because the team behind it are inexperienced and out of their depth otherwise they would never have lied about it being Shariah compliant.

This project and thread is overrun with fake bounty managers such as 520bit AND whitetoo and Russian ROYALTEAM are using multiple accounts to flood threads to generate fake buzz and hype to impress gullible people and newbies hoping to fool them in to getting involved with the Adab Haraam exchange projects.

hello. I saw your post. I agree with you. If the project doesn't comply with the laws of Shariah, then this is a scam.

For Muslims transparency is very important.

I saw the news that ADAB has collected softcap, but why there is no reference to a smart contract anywhere?

Thank you for your excellent post.

You are very much correct, if the title of the project is "First Islamic Crypto Exchange, based on the Shariah norms" but it does not comply with Shariah, then it is a scam.

You are right, for any religious person following any religion transparency is essential. In this case transparency has been cloaked by Russian bounty scammers 520bit, whitetoo and RoyalTeam using sock-puppet aliases to pump this thread with nonsensical incoherent posts to claim there is hype and buzz but it is all fake. Add to that the OP playing a game of being piggy in the middle instead of the 3 Kazakh team leaders coming here and posting themselves.

Regarding the soft-cap. It is all a mystery. People have been asking for details about the investors of the soft-cap and the smart contract details but the Adab Haraam scammers headed by the 3 Kazakh team leaders are not forthcoming with any information.

Am not in favour of any part but just speaking from general perspective of what i have seen with some ico's, there are some project that don't actually give this information about details of the sales for whatever reason best known to them, and it does not really signify that project as scam because in the end the project still try to deliver.
You're right. I've seen ICOs protect their sales details. However, when their integrity is not only at stake, but is being openly questioned, the very least they can do is to find some credible and neutral third-party, bind them to an NDA and disclose the information to them. The third-party will in turn assure the community about their claims. If Tether wasn't too big to fall, what makes ADAB any different?
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DARK COIN - Is an Global decentralized blockchain virtual currency on: November 01, 2018, 08:13:56 AM
Wait. I'm totally confused here. This is an ERC20 token and yet the OP keeps referring to it as a coin with its own explorer,  faster TPS than BTC (of course Ethereum is faster so as a token, it inherits all that too), and Private? Could it be that the tokens are gonna swap to coin and OP was just jumping the gun or...
I also feel very confused, I don't really understand the project and the characteristics of the coin fully. it may need to add articles and further clarify by answering questions about existing complaints.
Can't help but feel as if it's a smash and grab attempt at "blockchaining" and riding on BTC's tailcoat. BTC's a decade old and we're legitimately in Blockchain 4.0 era now. Comparing your development to first gen crypto doesn't really inspiring the most confidence in it. Mixing up tokens and coin doesn't help the cause too
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🌟🔥【ANN】【ICO】【PRE-SALE】 🚀 QURREX 🚀| THE FIRST HYBRID CRYPTO EXCHANGE🔥🌟🔥 on: November 01, 2018, 07:54:25 AM
People who invest in this coin are very patient. I won't invest without seeing the actual product, people won't remember it when it has been forgotten for a long time.
If it was catering to another industry, I'd be sweeting bullets now. But as an exchange, QRX's got better shot at market resurgence and relevance when it releases. Besides February is fast approaching
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | EDO |EIDOO Wallet - Hybrid Exchange - Marketplace| OVER 80k ETH RAISED | on: November 01, 2018, 07:52:13 AM
previously Eidoo had successfully launched the ICO Engine for several platforms, the price of EDO tokens had increased up to 3k satoshi
now the team has launched the ICO Engine for Stablecoin "Ekon Gold" and the blockchain digital identity system called Eidoo ID

What do you think if this will succes too? to the moon or ?  Grin

I think their main product since beginning was exchange inside wallet. Althrough too many existing wallet already, but not much mobile wallet with exchange (may be just one which I know is Midas). So exchange must brings much more value for tokens. And of course Im waiting their cards, as almost no one don't have working crypto cards nowdays  Embarrassed

I hate to agree that I personally think they a little bit strayed from their main milestone. People expecting the integrated exchange and it should be the "big game". Not that the other updates are useful, but I still wait for their main feature that's yet to come
You're right. The exchange was the biggest draw for me and I was looking forward to its integration. However, the beta leaves a lot to desire and I find myself falling in love with Trust and its dApp exchanges right within the wallet instead. Eidoo has grown too slow, heavy and clunky. Trust, on the other hand, is the lightest mobile wallet I've seen. And looks like they've integrated EOS tokens too

733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | STASH | Digital Money For Everyone on: November 01, 2018, 07:42:39 AM
I already have staspay coins for quite a long time. Maybe because I didn't keep up with the developments that were carried out stashpay, I didn't know where to sell this coin. anyone can tell where this coin market is.
Doubt you're gonna find buyers now with the snapshot taken and such. Nobody wants to risk any token movement unless the dev team says so. Also, IDEX delisted it due to swap. Only place you can see it listed is forkdelta
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | STASH | Digital Money For Everyone on: November 01, 2018, 07:40:44 AM
it seems like Stashpay is very slow in its development, I don't see STASH in coinmarketcap, have they not yet list at Coinmarketcap?
and they not yet entered the exchange?
STP token was trading on IDEX, Nebula, and Forkdelta. However with the ongoing swap to its own blockchain, STP will have to apply for relishing. Also, CMC needed a hundred thousand dollars worth of daily volume to list any crypto prior to their rebranding a few months back
735  Economy / Services / Re: Join DRIFE ICO Team on: October 31, 2018, 12:08:02 PM
DRIFE is the nexgen SCAMMING PLATFORM... DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS PEOPLE THESE INDIAN SCAMMING COMPANY SCAMMED ME ALREADY. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR PROMISES.
I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED AND YOU WILL BE TOO IF YOU PUT YOUR MONEY IN THIS PHONY COMPANY.
Accusation are more weighty when backed by proofs rather than CAPS. Also, your account is relatively new, meaning the community is less likely to just take your word for it. Bring in the evidence. Create a thread on scam accusations and everybody can not only benefit, but also learn and better protect the community
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves Sell Or Hodl? on: October 31, 2018, 11:47:19 AM
I hodl waves a few months at the middle of this year, there is so much fanatic at their community but if I become honest I never liked the waves team and then sold my all waves, I dont think they work very well.
You're right about waves. The community is fantastic and fascinating in their passionate support of the crypto. Development and marketing on the other hand has been a complete letdown. Sasha probably equates himself with Buterin. I think he should stop. He should rather go the way of Charlie Lee, acknowledging what ETH has achieved and look to give WAVES a concrete identity

PARTNERSHIP UPDATE

Stash is excited to announce a partnership with Crypto Particle a fully owned subsidiary of Code Particle. Code Particle is a software development company located Los Angeles that is focussed on distributed technology, web and mobile apps as well as UI/UX design.

Code Particle has both blockchain development and zk-snarks experience and has been involved with the development of the ZenCash cryptocurrency (now Horizon) new wallet. Code Particle has been testing the STASHPAY.IO software and is in the process of completing the Stash source code audit.

The Code Particle team has the capability to design and develop client/server/cloud models to handle companywide workloads and peer-to-peer experiences. From extensive financial transactions to building applications that channel data and provide analytics for well-known endpoint security companies, to custom server applications and online gaming experiences.

Specifically, the Stash team is pleased to be working with Franck De Girolami who has over 25 years of experience in high performance software application development including extensive work in video games for PC, console and mobile platforms. As software architect and lead programmer, Franck was directly responsible for a number of ground-breaking video games including Alone in the Dark, Cyberia and Tron 2.0: Killer App.

Additionally, Stash is pleased to be collaborating on the Stash source code audit with Pier Stabilini who has 20+ years of experience in software architecture and development with a strong Java, J2EE, C, GoLang, Python, data grid and networking expertise. Pier has designed and developed real time networking frameworks and high-performance stacks used in financial applications, audio and video conference and in the automotive industry. To see the full bio of Franck and Pier visit the stashpay.io website and navigate to the team section.

Were also excited to announce that we are getting very close to completing the Stash RPC calls, unit testing and source code audit. While we would have liked to complete the testing and source code audit a bit earlier we felt it was important to not rush this critical part of development. A solid and extensive testing process has allowed us to find several issues which the team has now addressed and as a result has also managed to implement a number of improvements to the software.

We appreciate all the support of the community and we look forward to updating you all very shortly about the November release of the STASHPAY.IO software.

Regards

STASH Team
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEXO Coin!!! on: October 30, 2018, 11:07:21 PM
This coin had a huge hype. I bought it for ICO price 0.3USD and now price is under 0.1USD.
Do you have some news which will bring this coin to the moon?
Maybe no moon, but SALT acquisition would be a nice bump..

which one would buy the other one ?

NEXO has done so well lately that the others are left with only the salt in their tears.
But from what I've gathered, it's still well under ICO price , right? ICO price was $0.3 and current price is approximately $0.1
Looks like there's still some upward traction left despite its current mcap
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your Opinion on Graft (GRFT) on: October 30, 2018, 11:03:30 PM
To reach 0.5 this is still very difficult, many things must be done and full of big business. The Graft community must work hard for this, a value that is still far from expectations.
Current mcap looks like a sweet deal to get into. However, you're right about more work being required from both the team and the community to prop the product into the public consciousness
