Hi Guys, everyone, please follow these instructions:
Linux/Pools/Exchanges/Unix:
Re-clone the git repository. There is a hard fork repairing checkpoint at block 2700. Delete the files in /.vericoin/ besides wallet.dat and vericoin.conf. In vericoin.conf, make sure the supernode ip (107.170.140.210) is listed as an addnode=107.170.140.210.
Windows:
Vericoin 1.01 will be out very shortly. Please update immediately once it lands. This will put you back on the correct blockchain. Please go into your AppData folder located in C:\Windows\YourAccount\AppData\Roaming and navigate to the Vericoin folder. You can type this into your Windows Explorer bar "%appdata%\Vericoin" and it should take you there automatically. Then, you need to delete every file except wallet.dat and vericoin.conf. In Vericoin.conf, make sure you have the line addnode=107.170.140.210.
Please update immediately once the wallet is available for your system.
block 2700? We are already over block 2740 on the PoH. What to do? It's a checkpoint for the correct (longest) blockchain. 2740 is ok. Compiling new wallets now will pushing final 1.1 update to github in a few minutes then posting updated windows wallet to website. |

I understand you like 0 fees, but just think about it. It's not smart what you are doing there. If the owner is smart enough he could simply fork the chain right now and thats the game over of VRC and u wasted a lot of time then.

Hi, for linux wallet (Ubuntu) i was useing that command: make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=-
Have you compiled some other wallets yet on linux? For me it looks like u might be missing some lboost dependencies. Yeah i did compile some other wallets and i have all boost dependencies. Its just that the vericoin-qt.pro can be used by qmake to generate Makefile which is first route that came to my mind. And vericoin-qt.pro is in this case coded to compile on windows. I think all mingw dependencies are all windows related and that lines forces looking for them on linux. I guess you can always compile it way you wrote it to not have these issues. Just pushed to git a fix that should solve your problem, it was looking for the windows build dependencies. I meant to comment that out for the git.  |

maybe im missing something here but.. mintcoin was there before blackcoin with the pow/pos model and has a 20% yearly intresest, so in the sence of a higher interest a year you would be better of with mintcoin then..? also has arround 50 merchants and lots of exchanges and still active community,
Unfortunately 20% is too high, the market floods with supply constraining demand and increased value. With feedback from the network stake we are striking a delicate balance. |

I like the system with higher stake if the coin isnt traded very much. But without further informations the coin will maybe die.

If confidence dips, so too does the supply, if confidence and holding are high, it's rewarded. Such a mechanism makes it markedly easier to generate profit from investment without destabilizing the value. A feature no other PoS coin has. More to come soon... |
