741  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: March 25, 2015, 11:12:28 PM
Gold is ok if you just want to store your wealth without it gaining value. Buying Bitcoin is like joining the gold rush: you can gain a lot or lose everything.
If you agree that Bitcoin is the future, you know what to do. To each his own. I think it has still a long way to go but would still choose it over gold.
742  Other / Off-topic / Re: Places you want to travel to before you die on: March 25, 2015, 11:03:24 PM
We really should think of some services that would allow us to visit the places we always dreamed of seeing with Bitcocoin and do it cheaper Smiley
You would write the place you are in and if someone wanted to go there they'd notify you and you'd act like their guide, acquire local currency for them, show them places and so on and they could pay you in Bitcoin. This could be especially helpful in exotic countries where people might feel lost and need someone to turn to.

743  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-03-25] Motherboard: PayBase Accused of Absconding with Customers' Money on: March 25, 2015, 10:54:48 PM
And the drama continues. How can you even compare some altcoin exchange, dealing in its own altcoin to Gox?
Those who stayed with them after XPY went from 18 to 0.5 USD and are now saying they were scammed have a delayed fuse. You were parted with most of your money long ago.
744  Other / Off-topic / Re: What phone do you use and what do you think about it? on: March 25, 2015, 03:33:57 AM
Samsung galaxy s4 active (a tougher and waterproof version of an s4). Great phone, very durable and reliable. Quite big, but not too big, so that it would be uncomfortable to carry. The only bad side is all the samsung and google crap that is preinstalled, I'd need some custom software for it to sever the link.
745  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: March 25, 2015, 03:15:20 AM
I'd hold and hope for more. Not out of greed or delusion but experience. Bitcoin never simply poked the previous ATH, it always went triggered a panic buy that shot high above it. It's natural to expect this to happen again. Also why should I sell at 1000? Even if it starts falling back I'll have enough at 900 or 800 to be happy with my profits and if it goes much higher? I'll ride it out!
746  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptoine.com HACKED [race condition bug] on: March 25, 2015, 12:19:07 AM
The amount lost wasnt so big, wondering why this guy stole some low value coins like dogedark, the damage done seem to be less than ~15 BTC the "hacker" was indeed smart enough to gather this by using exploit from the site

And in "speculation" people are giving this as one of the reasons of todays crash. Really? Most of us (bitcointalk users) have more coins in our personal wallets.
Remember people, next time you want to influence the price of Bitcoin start your own exchange and then call some news sites to let them know you were hacked. Especially Coindesk, they just love to make a fuss.
747  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptoine.com HACKED [race condition bug] on: March 24, 2015, 09:05:01 PM
You know what is funny? From time to time I read random news like this about an exchange being hacked and in most cases it's the first time I even see its name. Maybe i'm a complete noob and have been living under a rock for the whole year, but honestly I could pull at least 10 names of big exchanges out of my mind at any moment (and know at least another 10) and never ever have I heard the name Cryptoine. It seems this one is getting more popularity after death than it did during its life, just like some musicians who committed suicide. Wink

The same question, a lot more opinions Smiley

I would choose Bitcoin because it has a chance of tripling or quadrupling in value. Gold will probably never even double.
749  Other / Politics & Society / Re: America Fans the Flames While Europe Puts Out the Fire on: March 23, 2015, 11:41:11 PM
Russia is in fact helping America keep the fire burning by scaring its neighbours. The countries that used to be oppressed by the Soviet Union are seeking security the American weapons are providing. If you ever wondered who is buying where here's a nice map.

750  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What's a good miner to use at home? on: March 23, 2015, 11:14:37 PM
If I were you I would put 80% into btc and 20% into ltc

And I would stay away from LTC or any altcoin clones with no future future. LTC has been tanking for over a year. The only possibility for it to increase in value is if Bitcoin increases first. Why buy a clone when you can buy the real thing?
751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: i doned it i buried my private keys in concrete underground no one will know on: March 23, 2015, 11:00:05 PM
i got a jar from asda with non metallic lid and i put all my laminated offline wallets from doge to btc in it and buried it 12 ft deep reinforcede concrete box in my garden with a digger and cemont mixer i hired

me money is now safe i can rest in piece from house fires to burgorlers i will be a millionaire in the future oll i hath to do is just wait for the idiot brainwishwash sheeple to catch on.

The last part where you use invectives to describe crypto investors and the moronic language you used makes this thread a waste of space. You probably don't even own any coins.
Begone troll, you have been made!

Tea with raspberry juice. Healthy stuff Smiley
753  Economy / Speculation / Re: For people to panic sell people Must buy ... on: March 22, 2015, 10:40:49 PM
Just as others have said the prices aren't ugly and the floor has been reached in January. It's still possible to go lower from here but we'll almost certainly bounce back from $200.
Stability is good if you ask me. I prefer to actually use my bitcoins for something more than trading.
754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you name your baby Satoshi for 150 bitcoins? on: March 22, 2015, 12:54:28 AM
Hey, I'll only take 15 bitcoins to do it Cheesy
The man is offering you 150 and you already want to bring the price down? You'll never be rich!  Grin

To be honest I'd do it for 150, maybe for even less than that. We'd move to Japan where nobody would find it awkward, live happily ever after and the kid would never find out about the bet.
755  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S5, a good idea ? on: March 21, 2015, 11:33:30 PM
Think twice before you invest in cloud mining. It might look good, but in fact you are gambling. You are lending money to someone and taking their word that they will be paying you back for another year or so.

S5 is a good miner but I agree with notlist3d that it depends on the price of the unit and the electricity. And remember that the faster you start mining the better, so don't waste time if you want to buy it.
756  Economy / Speculation / Re: drawing charts on: March 21, 2015, 11:22:17 PM
I think this should be put somewhere in "speculation" but try using this: https://www.tradingview.com/ Probably one of the most popular sites for making charts.
If it's too sophisticated for you, some people just use bitcoinwisdom and draw lines there Wink
757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Carve a private key into a stone? on: March 21, 2015, 12:30:00 AM
I suppose you have already heard of Mr. Bitcoin but I think this is the future of bitcoin storage.

These NFC tags can be used for a variety of purposes but we like to see them as subdermal Bitcoin Wallets that enables one to securely store digital cash under one's skin.
That needle looks big! Shocked I wouldn't do it. I wonder if this thing is vulnerable to EMP or strong magnetic field? What if the carrier gets tased?
758  Economy / Gambling / Re: [WARNING] A personal warning to you all. on: March 21, 2015, 12:10:58 AM
I take it that this person that won the 2k btc on PD has never been heard from again have they?
On the contrary, they tried it again. I remember reading about it somewhere in the PD thread that he came back and tried the same thing, but PD team was ready and locked the funds before they was able to withdraw. I'm sure PD is making so much cash that even 2000BTC is just a minor setback.
759  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Do American Weapons End Up in Our Enemies' Hands? on: March 20, 2015, 11:45:23 PM
And I always thought it's Russian weapons that always get lost somewhere and then resurface in the hands of rebels all over the world.
If you don't know the reason, usually it's money. Maybe you've seen Lord of War. A very good movie if you want to learn the mechanics of weapons trade and smuggling.
760  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: primedice is a scam on: March 20, 2015, 07:13:40 PM
its all very well when playing with facuets but when u put real hard earned cash into it i bet they secretly adjust the house edge over 1% based on how many bitcoins u gamble

FYI there is a format for posting scam accusations here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0

What you wrote lacks substance and should be treated as spam, until you learn how to properly start an accusation thread.

I don't have a claim im just saying they can do wotever they want becoz they are not bound by regulations

If you don't have a claim don't start an accusation and please do us all a favour and stop writing like ghetto child.
