741  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Searching for New Crypto Debit Card on: August 22, 2023, 06:27:03 AM
I also want a virtual VISA or Mastercard, that is funded by crypto, but finding one seems like a pain in the a$s(especially non-KYC).
The problem is that most of those platforms require ID verification(which is pretty difficult to me) and the cost of issuing such virtual card makes things worse.
There's a new service called Swissmoney, where you could get a virtual card funded via USDT. They also require KYC and I haven't tried them yet.
I don't know if they are legit or a scam.
I've used Paywithmoon in the past, but unfortunately they aren't active right now. They used to offer prepaid VISA cards.
Also there are services like pst.net and Wallester, but they are focused towards people, who are using virtual cards for Facebook Ads and Google Ads.
Good luck trying to find a cheap crypto virtual card with no KYC.

Due to the current economic situation and the BRICS, the crash of the dollar seems obvious. Although it will not happen instantly as the US Government will bail out packages in order to maintain the dollar value, however, the question is for how long?

De-dollarization doesn't necessarily mean the crash of the US dollar. De-dollarization might lead to further devaluation of the US dollar instead of a fast and rapid crash. The British pound was the global currency 100 years ago. Now, the British pound is just one of the global currencies, but it didn't crash. The same thing might happen with the US dollar.
Robert Kiyosaki is no prophet and he's not even a macroeconomist. He's just a conman, who makes bold statements on social media in order to gain more attention(and more people buying his books and courses).
Bitcoin will hit 1 million dollars only when the US dollar becomes as worthless as toilet paper.
Most investors are running away from risky assets in times of economic crashes. Bitcoin is a risky asset.
743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 21, 2023, 06:07:11 AM
I hear rumors that PSG wants to sign Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt. The transfer price seems to be between 80 and 90 million euro, but the German team wants 100 million euro. I know nothing about Muani's performance in the Bungesliga, but I remember that he missed a goal opportunity against Argentina in the World Cup final. I guess that Kolo Muani and Ousmane Dembele will lead PSG's attack in the next season. Let's wait and see if PSG is going to keep Mbappe for another season, or they will try to get rid of him soon.

- IT'S FUD! FUD!! FUD is to blame!  of course, with 90% not even knowing what the acronym stands for.
- Then it's a single culprit, obviously, someone who criticizes Bitcoin, a simple handy scapegoat is needed! Musk! Buffett!
- the last stage obviously's the evil gubbermint! Forgetting that for months before every single one of them was laughing at how the evil governments are not able to hurt Bitcoin, now when they see only red candles it's the same impotent government that is somehow not that impotent anymore!

I wonder why would a space company like SpaceX own Bitcoins. What's the point? Space companies are supposed to build rockets, not trade on the cryptocurrency markets. Grin
Anyway, the trading volumes on the crypto markets were decreasing, there was little to no demand for BTC and many traders decided to sell. When there's big supply and low demand, the price does down. I also assume that the price drop triggered some stop loss orders, which sold more BTC automatically, which caused the price to go down even further. It's not like we've never seen this happening before in the Bitcoin market. The bad news coming the Chinese economy and the Blackrock Bitcoin ETF decision getting postponed also have a small impact over the BTC price. There's no reason for drama here.

So, this is going to be a really mindfuck moment for a lot of users
- he likes Bitcoin
- wants to get rid of the central bank
- want to fully adopt the usd dollar, so ditching completely the pesos

I don't see it as a "mindfuck moment". Bitcoin isn't suitable to become an actual currency. BTC is more of a financial asset(digital gold) than a real currency for daily use.
Ditching completely a weak currency like the Argentinian peso for the US dollar seems like a reasonable move. The US dollar has it's flaws, but it's way more stable in comparison to the Argentinian peso(even though the peso was pegged to the US dollar).
Having no national central bank might be better than having an irresponsible central bank.
Being pro-USD and pro-Bitcoin at the same time isn't so absurd as you think. Unfortunately, most of the Bitcoin maximalists live in a "black and white" type of world, where the US dollar is seen as the root of all evil, while Bitcoin being viewed is the solution to all problems.

Waking up early morning to play gambling without eating any breakfast
When someone badgering me behind while I’m playing
When I already on adrenaline mode after losing more than 50% of my bankroll and start chasing losses using huge bets.
Gambling late night while I feel already sleepy
Playing gambling after a recent huge win
When I already huge amount while I can’t withdraw my balance due to my pending deposit
Chasing small bets lose while I’m already up by huge profit just to close my balance to nearest whole number

The last one seems more like obsessive-compulsive disorder to me(even thought it might have nothing to do with OCD). What's the point of reaching the nearest whole number in your balance? There's no rational reason for this, only two irrational reasons- superstition or OCD.
To keep gambling after a recent big win is a big no no for me, because I know that I will lose everything. I always try to force myself to stop after a big win(a relatively big win, I never won any gigantic profits out of gambling).
I don't gamble when I'm sleepy. My performance drops even further and I can't concentrate.
Getting out of tilt while gambling is the biggest obstacle for me(and for almost every gambler in the world).
747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is centralized, will other cryptocurrencys survive ?. on: August 20, 2023, 06:10:58 AM

Because cryptocurrencies are basically a cryptographic contracts that exist and are running on their individual Blockchains on its own, and it doesn't hold any value. what gives it value is the concept of general acceptability, so the nature of one cryptocurrency can not affect the other if the community behind it so believe or want it so.

with all this put down here, I'm still not convinced. I need your opinions that, if Bitcoin is been centralized can other cryptocurrencies survive .

You are answering your question and you still want other people's answers. Are you trying to boost your post count?
What do you mean by "survive"? Coinmarketcap is full with dead shitcoins, with a market cap and trading voume below 100K USD. Theoretically, those shitcoins are still alive. Their blockchains still work, but almost nobody uses them. Are they dead or alive?
I'm sure that even the smallest shitcoins can survive, but their prices will be pretty close to zero. Something like 0.000001 USD.
Bitcoin cannot become centralized and I don't know why do we have to keep imagining ridiculous theories about the same shit over and over again.
748  Economy / Gambling / Re: Opinion on crypto casino project on: August 18, 2023, 10:14:21 AM
OP, you are writing about decentralized gambling but you didn't mention where those "probably fair" games will be hosted.
If the player has to deposit the money somewhere in order to play the games, then this is NOT decentralized gambling.
I'm not an expert in this field, but I think that using smart contracts is the only way to make gambling truly decentralized(by removing the human factor). Good luck, if you really plant to make a truly decentralized no-KYC crypto casino. I don't think that this would be enough for you to win the battle against the big casinos in the crypto gambling industry.
749  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the reason for the X on: August 17, 2023, 10:59:20 AM
AFAIK, Elon Musk owns the domain X.com since the year 2000. Maybe he rebranded Twitter in order to finally use that domain name. Grin
Maybe he is a fan of "The X-files" TV series of the Triple X(I remember that there was a wrestler with that nickname). Grin
The new X social platform will become a major competitor of the social platforms owned by Meta(FB, Insta, Threads) and it will be more censorship free and maybe more oriented towards the right wing conservative people. This is means that it will gather users from the former right wing social media websites like Parler.
750  Economy / Gambling / Re: 0xBET | Crypto Casino 🎲 Sportsbook ⚽ Fast Payouts ✅ on: August 17, 2023, 10:23:24 AM
From what I see 0xbet is a brand owned by Boomerang which is a Russian casino and sportsbook. There are several other brands in Boomerang's portfolio. Am I right? Having multiple crypto casino brands seems suspicious to me, but I might be wrong.
I've visited 0xbet and most of the games can't load. There's a sign that says "something went wrong, please try again later".
Anyway, the casino looks pretty much OK and the owner has a Curacao gambling license.
Good luck with this project, OP.
751  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Is there a site where you can withdraw without deposit? on: August 17, 2023, 06:32:33 AM
Are there sites where you can actually withdraw coins? I mean gambling sites. It doesn't have to be a lot of money, but I used to have the impression that there were more sites like this and it was much easier to withdraw free money. I know there is freebitcoin that gives you free btc every hour, duckdice is also a faucet - do you know any other sites you can recommend?

Are you looking for a crypto faucet or a crypto casino? No crypto casino would allow such withdrawals. Some crypto casinos might give you "free bonuses", but there's always a catch. Nothing comes for free in this life.
AFAIK, some fiat gambling platforms used to offer no-deposit bonuses and the players could actually withdraw their earnings, but there where always some wagering requirements or something like that.
There were crypto casinos that give you free tokens every time you bet cryptocurrencies on them. Betfury was one of those crypto casinos.

People have been killed for it and tortured (sure this happens with fiat but the blood is on your hands now).

Are you kidding me? It's like putting the blame on gold miners for all the people, who got tortured and killed because they own gold.
We know that Bitcoin isn't perfect. There's always a problem, but the problems will be solved. BTC mining becomes more and more environmental friendly.
The "51% attack" argument is BS(it has been proven to be BS multiple times on the forum). The idea that someone could simply buy all the BTC and all BTC miners is complete BS.

Network fee only goes back to miners this leaves no funding for roads, garbage, schools, medicare or disabled veterans.

You know that BTC miners are just like any other business and they are supposed to pay taxes as well. Right?
753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin potentially serve as a safe haven in the upcoming economic crisis on: August 16, 2023, 10:19:20 AM
Hello everyone,

there's a lot of discussion about an impending economic crisis. I'm curious about how Bitcoin will perform during this crisis. Will it function as a safe haven similar to gold? Or will its value decline significantly?

what do you think ?

This question has been asked 1000 times in the last 10 years. Why don't you search for older forum threads instead of creating a new one.
To be honest, I don't think that the Bitcoin price could rise in times of economic stagnation and monetary restrictions. It's historically proven that the Bitcoin price rises in times when "money machine goes brrrr....". Maybe the upcoming crisis will be more like stagflation rather than a classic recession/depression, so the central banks will keep pumping money in order to save the economy. In that case, Bitcoin could potentially serve as safe heaven. On the other hand, I don't think that Bitcoin could dethrone the classic safe heaven-gold. BTC is still more risky and volatile than gold.
754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling discussion effect on: August 16, 2023, 06:57:10 AM
I don't feel any urge to gamble, just because I read a bunch of forum posts about "gambling strategies".
The term "gambling strategy" is nonsense, because no gambling strategy had made any consistent profits in the history of gambling. The gamblers, who are discussing gambling strategies think that they could trick and outsmart the casino, which is totally delusional.
If you are feeling such desire to gamble, this might be the beginning of a gambling addiction and you should be careful.
I just gamble for fun and I don't care at all about gambling strategies or ways to make money via gambling. You can't make consistent money via gambling.
755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Predictions and Trends for Crypto Gambling in 2024 on: August 16, 2023, 06:21:52 AM
Nice try promoting your own website by adding it to a forum discussion. Grin
I don't think that such "gambling fork" will happen in 2024. The crypto gambling industry will stay pretty much the same in the upcoming years. Most casinos and sportsbooks will remain centralized and the vast majority of the gamblers wouldn't mind using a centralized platform.
If your platform Nitrobetting really is so revolutionary(just because you claim that it's decentralized), then why it still isn't the most popular gambling platform in the world right now?
Don't get me wrong. I also want more decentralized gambling. I'm sick of all those horror stories of gamblers getting scammed and not getting their money out of the casinos. Unfortunately, things simply won't change that fast in the gambling industry.
756  Economy / Economics / Re: Can stablecoins be able to prevent de-dollarization? on: August 15, 2023, 10:51:21 AM
You know that PayPal has already launched its own stablecoin.
The company Circle and Tether uses a dollar stablecoin, which is used not only by American companies. If the McHenry bill is passed in the US, will it strengthen the dollar as the world's reserve currency?

USD backed stablecoins are nothing else than US dollars, that are hidden behind a shiny "crypto" package(which actually isn't crypto at all).
I don't know how a USD backed stablecoin can be more useful than actual US dollars. The only thing that makes stablecoins useful is their role in cryptocurrency trading. A stablecoin is basically useless outside the crypto exchange platforms.
Is there a way for these USD backed stablecoins to add more value and utility to the US dollar? I don't think so.
The process of de-dollarization in certain countries and continents will continue and the stablecoins cannot be used to stop such process.

Ah, but what’s good for the sports bettor is good for the sportsbook. Sportsbooks won’t ever shut down wagers on AI driven bets one-hundred percent, but they may request a larger vig, more juice, to place bets on AI driven options.

Do you really think so? I think that the sportsbooks are pretty much the same as casinos. The casino wins when the players lose.
The sportsbooks aren't so different.
AI cannot predict the outcomes of sports events. They might be helpful in gathering and analyzing data about past performance of the sports teams and athletes, but that doesn't reduce the luck factor in any sports event.
By the way, how can a sportsbook platform reveal which bets are AI driven and which bets are not AI driven? I don't think that the sportsbooks have such tracking system in hand.

You also risk investing beyond what you can afford to lose which is not what any wise bitcoin investor would do. Bitcoin accumulation is not supposed to be a stressing and self-pressured process but some persons doing it in that way thinking they had arrived late to bitcoin and have to meet up, but that's all a fallacy. With bitcoin you're never late, you only arrived at your right time.

Investing what can't afford to lose isn't investing. It's basically financial gambling and poor risk management.
The only wrong way to accumulate Bitcoin is this. You gather some BTC, the price crashes, you panic and you sell. Then you start gathering BTC again, the BTC price crashes again, you panic and you sell again. And so on... If you don't get caught in panic selling, then all the ways to accumulate BTC are right. Grin
You are wrong about not arriving late to the Bitcoin market. I wish would have invested in Bitcoin back in 2012. I will always have the feeling that I arrived late at the Bitcoin party. Grin
759  Economy / Economics / Re: China enters deflation as recovery flops and demand falling on: August 14, 2023, 10:14:29 AM
I don't understand what is happening right now in China.
Most of the info I get about the Chinese economy is just pure propaganda about how the economy is growing on a massive scale and China becomes wealthier day after day. I guess that the end of the lockdowns didn't bring a fast economic recovery. Maybe China is still suffering from the side effects of the pandemic and the lockdowns.
Yes, I know that both inflation and deflation are bad for the economy and finance. The only way to stop them is to stop the money printing machines(which is impossible). That's the only way for the the business cycle will get back to normal.
There's point bitching and complaining about how deflationary Bitcoin is and that nobody uses BTC to buy goods and services. Just choose an altcoin, which has less scarcity. Bitcoin is "digital gold", period.

Quote
I came across an article How Old Do You Have to Be to Gamble in USA?. In this article, i saw that the minimum age to gamble is between 18 to 21 years. I wonder if the online casino do follow this minimum age for gambling.

Yes, the gambling sites have our age data through the KYC documents. Do they ever restrict anyone who is underage to not to gamble?
Also, if we find any site allowing minors to gamble, can legal action be taken against them?

Which online casino in the world would openly state that it allows minors to gamble? The casino owner probably would have been a total retard if he allows such thing. All online casinos clearly state in their Terms of Service that the usage of the platform by users under 18 is prohibited.
I know that many casinos won't follow their own rules and I know that many teenagers are actively breaking this rule, but such age restriction is a must. I also think that the age group between 18 and 21 should not be allowed to gamble, both online and offline. The minimum age for gambling must be above 25.
