7421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have You Seen any real Credit or Debit card of ICOs? on: October 28, 2018, 09:35:33 AM
Good question,,, very good question. Last year, I remember almost every ICO talking about debit cards and what not, but I knew that if they were depending on Visa or Mastercard, it would be a huge problem. And fast forward more than 1 year later, we see exactly the problems with all these guys. Remember Monaco? Or others? Promising the sky, but could not deliver.

And people are defending them saying it is regulations and all that. But DUH. They knew that would be a problem!

As long as crypto still wants to depend on traditional systems like the banks and fiat systems, they will never be independent and free. So frustrating to see ICO projects not understand this.

Oh, I know Didi Taihuttu from many news articles about the guy. Now if there is anyone who can speak to the average person about crypto and loyalty, Didi is certainly one of them. He and his family are really going the rounds everywhere and his story itself is inspirational, the guy who sold everything for Bitcoin and still enjoying the adventure. Glad to have someone like him and his family on our side!

And explaining in regular language makes it easy for newbies to understand too! Great person to have on the team

Indeed! Didi if you watch his videos is a very natural guy,,, and if you follow his channel, also friendly and down to earth. A lot of people are considered influencers but they are quite heavy on the hype. This guy is always natural and calm. He says what he believes but never to the sort of hype you find elsewhere,,, and his videos travelling are fun to watch. Regular person to chime with regular people like us:)

Anyway, it is coming to the end of the month. We are expecting the announcement for sale in early Q4, so in 2 weeks it will be the middle of Q4, let us hope for some good news soon!
7423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Gloom or Boom? on: October 27, 2018, 09:43:26 AM
The so-called bull run will NOT happen this year. I think it is time for you and all of us to accept that. We should have accepted it months ago,,, but of course people are used to things happening so quickly in just a few months so they thought, maybe bull run is delayed. But mind you, in 2 months left of this year, the crypto market can also dive just as easily as it can climb.

Also,,, even if bull run happens now, the best it can do is recover to levels of 50% of the peak. This means BTC 10k and ETH $650. That for me is best case scenario, which will not happen this year.
7424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what a great month on: October 27, 2018, 08:30:05 AM
So one month and 3 days have passed since the OP posted about the great month. And ETH is down 20% from the price of that time,,, while Bitcoin is moving in the same range for 3 to 4 weeks now.

This shows,,, every time you think you know what is going on, something different can and will happen. We simply cannot predict what will happen. Good time of consolidation now? Or is this waiting for a further crash? Only time can tell.
7425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto gamble websites - Easy profit? on: October 27, 2018, 07:59:35 AM
As someone already mentions, there is already freebitco.in that gives you free lottery tickets. If you play every day say 10 times, you can get 140 tickets per week, and that can give you a tiny, tiny chance to win 1 of 10 prizes in the lottery. Not worth it in my opinion to waste your time every day just to get free things. Why not work get a job and earn. Buy Bitcoin and gamble?
7426  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-10-25] Kenyans Pay Local Restaurant Bitcoin for Meals and Classes on Crypt on: October 26, 2018, 07:16:12 AM
snipie,,, you are asking the wrong question. Who cares which crypto they are asking for? If you have Bitcoin, any other alt is already just a bonus. And also, you are asking, why not ETH? So why not Litecoin? And BTC and ETH have no difference to the user, but Dash is a privacy or anonymous coin. So that is the difference. Why offer two products that have no difference to customers?

https://twitter.com/MomentumToken/status/1055062059816247296?s=19

7428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fear of ethereum on: October 25, 2018, 12:40:06 PM
i think those who are in crypto  have ethereum with them at-least 10 % of their investment. i do not think that we need to fear about the ethereum it will be back when bull run starts. instead of fearing i thing it is best time to buy now.

It does not matter bull run or not, the faith and belief in crypto should be the first instance of judgment, rather than the price. Personally, I am not a believer of Ethereum, but these days when you can see even its leader Vitalik Buterin is slowly pulling away, I can say that the future looks brighter,,, and this is my view as only a speculative holder. Ether is maybe only 3% of my portfolio, but I know it will be around for many years at whatever price.

Just do not think "price is low" so it is a good time to buy. Think "the tech is good and I believe in this project", then that is when you buy.

7430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If the ICO chosed waves token, can they do the pre-ICO? on: October 24, 2018, 02:23:31 PM
ERC20 tokens are just the name for Ethereum based tokens,,, if you choose WAVES, then it is a similar process actually, and in fact for some, even simpler. I have many Waves tokens also just given to be, as a sort of airdrop instead of pre-ICO.

In terms of making a token, choosing different blockchain network only changes the method but the process is actually very similar. You can read from the Waves on blogpost on how to create a token: http://waveslabs.com/manual/
7431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool £25 in btc to join on: October 24, 2018, 01:02:24 PM
Don't forget to put your scores in for tonight's games. Doing mine now but there's quite a few players who still haven't. Anyone think Juve will turn over United? Thought it might have been a bit closer if Ronaldo wasn't paying but turns out he'll be back for tonight. Would have gone for 1-1 draw but I think Juve will probably take it but you never know with United. Jose's jobs still on the line but I don't think tonight's game would be the decider. Not really any other games I'm interested in tonight other than that one.

Thanks for the note, I saw this quite late but managed to put in scores with 10 minutes to spare, and now have finished ALL my picks for group stages,,, it is actually quite easy to forget because they come after international break.

Looking at the press news, nobody is saying anything bad about United losing, even though it was at home, Juventus + Ronaldo is almost impossible to beat in Europe. I watched the game and it could have easily been 1-1, or even 2-2, a lot of good passing but De Gea was very good in goal, while the defence in Juventus is better than the current United attack. Good to see Martial smiling again, but I do not think this performance will bring United past Last 16.

Good job to everyone we are picking results well so far in Champions League, almost everyone only got 1 perfect score. Of course nobody predicted Lyon 3-3, but funny to see many people predicted Juventus win with many goals;)
7432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is governance Killing Blockchain ? on: October 24, 2018, 07:41:39 AM
Seems people do not realize the difference anymore in crypto. We always talk about crypto and the idealism, but honestly I find people know very little. I even still have a few people think that mining crypto is actually awarded with physical coins! When they cannot even understand the basic architecture how do we educate about governance? Worse, people prefer governance and centralized politics!

Good article.
Are you the one who wrote it?
Or you just copied from this source https://hackernoon.com/governance-is-killing-blockchain-df3bfeb537f6 ?
If you only copied the content, I suggest you include the source where you got it from because that's plagiarism.

Second that. Even if you did write it, you should at least provide the original link, gets more traffic and lets people know you are not a plagirizer,,, which can get you banned in forum!
7433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which one of these is a shitcoin according to you guys? on: October 24, 2018, 06:59:05 AM

Guys, Ripple, Stellar, Neo, Electroneum, Deep Brain Chain, Digibyte, Pundi X, Crypterium, Nano..I have bought not much but just a little of all these for 1-2 yrs hodl....Anything which is not worthy of investment???

Sorry to have to say this but all of them actually fit the shitcoin deal. Personally, I own some Ripple and Neo, but I knew that I bought them for speculation and have never ever used any of them for anything but trading. The same I bought a bit of Digibyte,,, for Nano I had some,,, the only thing I see which has a chance of use is PundiX, but even then,,, tell me if you know anyone who has used it because I do not know any. It has a great merchant and POS concept though.
7434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: MyEosVegas---The FIRST POKER gambling game run on EOS on: October 23, 2018, 09:24:12 PM
Very interested if you are building only poker, in fact,,, I recommend you just focus on the poker side of things and then discuss this in gambling section so you can get the comments and attentions of poker players. There is a big gap in the market and several have tried to fill it. The only thing I would say at this stage is: enable Bitcoin poker. You have to face it, everybody uses Bitcoin to gamble and every gambler uses Bitcoin 1st, alts 2nd.
7435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A Head to Head Comparison: UniFox & PundiX on: October 23, 2018, 08:57:33 PM
Have heard of PundiX,,, and I have to say that I was not initially impressed even though they originated from Singapore near me, which should have made me support them, but they actually have quite a good idea with their POS machines and have been managing to sell many. This is regardless of their token price, which has gone down like all alts.

UniFox I never heard of though, do they really need another partnership with a competitor?
7436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is the best time to invest and join bounty campaigns on: October 21, 2018, 11:17:22 AM
I sort of agree,,, I am one of those who bought coins when they were 50% from ATH, but of course now they are 10-20%, so I practically lost even 50% of my buy in value. The worst is actually ETH that I thought $400 was a great buy and here we are every day waiting for it to go below $200 and the news is saying there are so high volumes for sell order.

If you believe in a project though I do not think there is a good time or best time, this is all luck in a sense. I believe there are future dividends if we are patient.

7438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are lazy on: October 19, 2018, 05:06:28 PM
Agree and disagree. Agree that scammers are too lazy to do real jobs and work hard. They want the easy way out, because they do not want to have duties and responsibilities.

So what do scammers do? They fake things, they cheat,,, on crypto they can make all sorts of stories up or make 100s of accounts to steal a few cents.

They do not realize they put in so much work and hours of their life. To get a few dollars. But no other reward.

But we cannot blame them for the market now or the situation. Every technology has benefits but can be misused. Crypto is no different.
7439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learning is earning! on: October 19, 2018, 04:59:50 AM
I do not know if you can say learning is earning,,, I love learning and do as much of it as I can on a daily basis and I can say I certainly benefit from the extra knowledge. Maybe not today or not tomorrow but some day I am grateful for my knowledge. But to equate it with money, I cannot say. Crypto is not anyway all for money. I have other interests for crypto.
7440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What do we think about SALT? on: October 18, 2018, 06:16:06 PM
Salt made a long travel down in price terms from ATH. I don't really see the real volume in it now but still holding few in my bag. Sad

It was not the only one. You can basically say the same thing for almost every single altcoin ever mentioned on this forum. Some are not just struggling to maintain price, they are even struggling to keep a foot inside listings on exchanges. This is truly the pruning season and it will take a lot of guts to hold and hold expecting these tokens to float on DEXs. People are finally understanding that no matter what spin you put on tokens even with a great idea,,, no utility and no users means no heart beat.
