The way around it is post 5 times:)... no there is no way around it though I think you can contact an administrator and show your experience, and they may let you go early, though I'm not sure if its worth the effort. It's four hours of wait and a few posts just wait it out. It's not like you really have less access than you did before you signed up and were lurking.
762  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i cant post any new topic , help ! on: May 12, 2013, 01:58:19 AM
You didn't read the rules when you registered  Shocked You must have 1 post to send a PM. To post a topic anywhere but this section you must have been logged in for 4 hours and posted at least 5 posts. Best of luck in the future!
763  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did anyone really get burned byin YaCoin? on: May 12, 2013, 01:55:43 AM
I didn't get burned but from what I've read about it, one of the main problems was communication between the parties. That is why whenever I make deals I always make sure the person I am talking to knows fluent english or get a translator.
764  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How one becomes a Full Member? on: May 12, 2013, 01:21:40 AM
It's based on the amount of posts though moving from newbie to Jr. Member requires 5 posts and 4 hours online.
765  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: RippleSpin.com - Only site where you can use ripples? on: May 12, 2013, 01:21:16 AM
Not any that I know of, however there are people here on bitcoin forums who will purchase them for you if you are not interested in having them anymore.
766  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The new Star Trek movie on: May 12, 2013, 01:20:38 AM
So guys, two questions!
1. What are your thoughts about the new Star Trek movie?
I haven't seen it yet.
2. How can I pretend that this thread has remotely anything to do with BTC?
Purchase movie tickets in btc.
767  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CGMiner help needed on: May 12, 2013, 12:04:52 AM
The first thing I would do is try some of the older versions of cgminer to see if its a bug. If the older versions work why upgrade? However, I would recommend the source of your problems as you putting in the incorrect thread concurrency. Try researching and putting in the actual thread concurrency of your graphics cards rather than trying random numbers.
768  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone have experience with bitcoin-services.co.uk?? on: May 12, 2013, 12:01:32 AM
I don't have any experience with them, however I have been using similar sites recently which have been paying out such as bitvisitor.com which pays out on the hour. I personally would continue contacting them but because it is $5 I wouldn't get over my head worrying about it. Best of luck!
769  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I was a billionaire for 2 minutes on: May 11, 2013, 10:24:44 PM
I have over 1k BQC and last night the chart showed them as 9BTC each  Grin

I was sooo rich for about 2 minutes  Cheesy

Don’t you mean you were a millionaire for 2 minutes? 5000 BQC (9 BTC each) = 45,000 BTC = $4,500,000~. I wonder if anyone managed to sell during these two minutes.
770  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Ann] Funded Group ASIC buy, Chips available on: May 11, 2013, 10:18:11 PM
Interesting, that's 452 orders between them right there... There might be a lot of these chips in the wild, i don't think there's anything besides the 10k chips you can buy on their website that would count as an order number either?

If every single one of those is 10k chips.  That is 1274.64 Terahash/second

And BTC352,560. I can't comment on their order numbering system as I don't know what it is. It's possible they sold 452 batches, and anyone who is interested in purchasing chips should do their homework before purchasing.

Dang thats $35,000,000+ Avalon is racking up some serious cash for being the first company to complete making their Asics. I wonder if some of those orders are from people/companies planning on making a bitcoin mining warehouse to control percents of the network. Whatever it is, difficulty will skyrocket.
771  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: May 11, 2013, 10:15:25 PM
Interesting to see what will happen with batch 2 and batch 3 or what the return on investment will be for batch 2 or more importantly batch 3.

This is probably not true but batch 1 could have been a giant trust scam to increase prices for batches 2 & 3 and collect much more money, this company has received millions of dollars from batches 2 & 3.
772  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-05-09 PaymentsSouce.com - Gyft Opens Bitcoin Acceptance to 50,000 Merchants on: May 11, 2013, 09:21:23 PM
This is great news in my opinion. I fully support bitcoins becoming a separate currency and as more and more stores accept it, it really makes the difference in my opinion. No one wants to use a currency not accepted anywhere.
773  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-05-10 Forbes.com Video: Kashmir Hill's Week Of Bitcoin on: May 11, 2013, 09:00:15 PM
This is good news, thanks Stephen for sharing this video, it was definitely worth watching. I appreciate it and keep up the posts! I should have gone if I had known about it:)... request an invite, I live an hour or so away from there.
774  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-05-10 wired.com: Watch Wired Get Rich Quick With Our Sleek Bitcoin Miner on: May 11, 2013, 08:59:00 PM
The reason I don't like this is because they are sending a wrong message about BTC demonstrating it as a get rick quick scheme, and they also managed to receive their unit before everyone who actually ordered theirs did. Butterfly Labs should be more focused on completing existing orders than getting new orders...
775  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-05-07 Bitcoin: The Tyranny Test on: May 11, 2013, 05:05:33 PM
Finally some sanity is introduced.

Sometimes, I really feel like now that the mainstream is showing up in the bitcoinosphere the level of intelligent, rational debate is being diluted to worthlessness and we are descending back into the screeching madness of the mob associated with fiat monies ...  Undecided

+1

I agree that sometimes the bitcoinosphere's level of intelligence can drop but I mainly think that is due to all the newcomers who don't really know what's going on. Though, with that being said, it is always a great thing when some sanity is introduced.
776  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-05-10 TVNZ: Kirk Hope on Bitcoin + News Segment on: May 11, 2013, 04:57:09 PM
Way to many unfactual and untrue things in the video that made it just too annoying to watch. It would be nice if people researched and understood BTC before bashing it or trying to write an article/make a video about it.
777  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: AMD earnings drop on: May 11, 2013, 04:52:23 PM
I think that bitcoins are making a difference on the earnings probably in at least the millions of dollars range, though it would be interesting to see how they recover. I think that they should make a Asic for bitcoin mining thats reliable then they could hopefully make some extra money:). Or mine bitcoins on all the graphics cards running in their testing centers.
778  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: May 11, 2013, 04:48:09 PM
Some insane setups guys keep the posts and pictures coming! Its very interesting to look at all of these pictures and really inspiring too. I bet AMD really profited from the invention of bitcoins.
779  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-05-11 Keiser Report 443: Virgin Bitcoin vs Old Hag Pound on: May 11, 2013, 04:45:09 PM

What does this reply mean?

Though other than this reply, interesting story and a descent youtube video to watch, thank you for the post.
780  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-05-09 Techcrunch- Your Bitcoins are Finally Worth Something on: May 11, 2013, 04:44:27 PM
I find this to be excellent news because as more and more places accept bitcoins, they will become much more mainstream. Though I think for bitcoins to really take off it has to be easier to convert bitcoins into giftcards than it is to convert cash into gift cards and I think right now it is harder or the same but definitely not easier.
