I've started using keypass to secure my passwords, and I started to encrypt sensitive folders on my PC. I also spent time updating my virus and malware arsenal and scanned multiple times with different products. I'm in the process of setting up a few paper wallets for cold storage.
Can't be too careful!
Hello
Maybe You could also switch to linux and
then have less things to worry about!
Yes, linux is on my to do list too! Which flavour do you recommend?
If you are not familiar with linux and if you are beginner I would suggest you to check
the ZORIN distribution
http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=zorinI installed it on a friends laptop and I must say is really nice and fast and easy to use
because you can set the UI to look similar to windows UI.
otherwise i would suggest you to check others ubuntu based distributions
because they seem to be easiest to use for beginners.
what you could try:
http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=ubuntu (i heard the UI is heavy for the computer - resource intensieve)
http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=mint (fork of ubuntu with different desktops and better performance)
http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=xubuntu (ubuntu with xfce UI better performance)
http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=lubuntu (ubuntu with LXDE UI even better performance but i must say the latest UI has some bugs)
for other distribustions check this site:
http://distrowatch.comNOTE: you can try almost any linux distribution without install it. It will load from cd into memory
and you can then test it and check if is suitable for your needs and experience.
If you have more questions feel free to ask I will help if I will be able to.
I hope you manage and I wish you good luck.
