The premise of this token was Mobile mining. That is what attracted people to Electroneum. But as it stands, people with gpu mining rigs & farms have taken over the mining aspect (most important) and the promise of mining with mobile phones seems to be a broken one. How will the mobile mining work when not even my i7 cpu can't mine 2-3 coins within 48 hours? How will people mine with simple mobile phone when the difficulty, currently is 3602517794? Thats 3billion by the way. Considering many more will jump in to mining, that difficulty will quad triple within a day or two.
Also why the fuck will you create a wallet without a user interface? So much unprofessional behaviour with what was perceived as a competent idea.
Unless a new algorithm is created for the mobile mining side of it, with equal rewards, then there really isn't any point in mining this coin.
You obviously did not read about the project, just as many other did not read or learn. The mining was always intended to be done by real miners with GPU and powerful CPU rigs, the app is more of a mining simulator (game) for the average Joe to make a few coins. It does not actually mine anything. It is a wallet that can earn you extra coins, by the simulation of actual mining. If it was using your portable device hardware to do intense mining it would not last 5 mins lol. The battery would die, the device would overheat and your phone will more than likely break within a few months. It is a neat idea, and everyone can mine (earn) some coins and at the same time get involved with and learn about cryptocurrency. No matter how low end the device is. |

Totally agree, it is a long term investment. The current price is great as it shows the huge interest in this project and proves that it could go on to be massively successful. I sold just a small amount of my mined coins, because once wallets are ready...people will dump and the price will crash. I can then purchase 10x the number of coins I sold for long term holding. People here can be annoying, have no idea how the project works, how mining will work and many just spread FUD. I am done with this thread until all these idiots dump there coins and move on, leaving only the serious investors and supporters. |

The amount of ETN coming into cryptopia is concerning. It's not all from 1 days mining surely? And no one else can access their coins. The devs need to get onto this and communicate better.
There were around 20k miners, I myself managed 20k coins in less than a day before the difficulty ramped up. This is the most intense coin launch I have ever seen. The interest in trading is insane. It is only on Cryptopia with relatively low volume and it is coming on for 400 BTC volume lol. This project has huge future potential, it could be many times more valuable a few years from now. Big exchanges coming and we will have access to our wallets soon. You can expect teething problems on a launch of this scale. They have been communicating, on facebook, here and via email etc. I am avoiding this thread because of the stupid comments and FUD, winds me right up. The price will likely crash when wallet funds are available but it is a new born project! It is long term. With this much early interest it has a bright future ahead, hopefully. |

That is only true for algos that use the RAM rather than clock. Plenty of algos that prefer the 1080. I will just have to deal with it on cryptonight. Happy enough with the results anyway.
Sorry, it's still not a good mining card and here is why:
A 1080 gets 38 on skunkhash, tops. Compared to a 1070 which runs at 30 hashes for that algo. That's a gain of 20%, sounds good so far. But the thing is you could've bought three 1070s for the price of two 1080s.
The wattage of a stressed 1080 is at 185, a 1070 eats up 160 watts.Yeah that is understandable and I am aware of the efficiency. I did not build my rig for mining though and already had the cards, so I use what I have Thanks for the info. |

What miner? That is significantly higher than my 1080.
Due to the complex vRAM logic of a 1080 there are no miners yet who excel the hashrate of a 1070.

Of course not. They should have banned or at least limited CPU\GPU mining. And it's not. So no point at all to use smartphone to mine ETNs (and it's not active too). You just don't understand how it works. All the real mining is done by CPU and GPU miners, the app simulates mining and rewards you with coins. You can't and will never be able to use a phone for the proper mining. It would kill your phone. |

There is still plenty of demand in this sector, expert advice and phone consultations will always be in high demand. It took me a while to read all the relevant information and watch the videos.
I was not too sure about the purpose the token would serve but further reading cleared that up. I think it is wise to offer incentives and reward those involved in the project from an early stage. The team looks good, the project seems well planned and I see potential.
I can see this project being a success over the next few years and I may want to invest in the Pre-sale, I have to think it over. Good luck moving forward.
