Does anyone remember the 2021 Australian Open Special? Great times! Both outright bets on Djokovic and Osaka won, plus 14x 1mBTC in free bets. It was one of their better promos in recent memory, not to mention BTC was shooting up towards $50k at that time. Then they lowered it to 0.25 mBTC per win at Wimbledon (2021) but it was still paid in free bets. I see it's now free spins instead... i really wish sportsbook-related promos, which kinda took a hit this past year in favor of the casino promos, would be paid out in free bets still.

01. We have 10 players, do we want to pursue 12?
02. Consensus for the platform seems to be Yahoo, or "I don't care," which is the same thing.
03. ChiBitCTy volunteered for comish, no one else wants the job.
04. I held the funds last year, happy to serve the roll once again.
05. I suggest we keep it between 0.0015 and 0.0025BTC before suchmoon has his say.
06. PPR votes so far are 2 in favor, 4 opposed, see below
07. I vote for blockchain determining draft order, that makes 5 votes in favor by my count.

I think i've answered most of those but let's have it in one place:

01. 12 would've been perfect, but 10 is alright by me
02. Yahoo
03. Anyone who wants to do it...
04. DireWolfM14
05. Sounds good
06. Non-PPR
07. Aye Aye!  Grin

To the list I will also add to the topics we need to discuss the following:
08. Do we use divisions or not? Last year we had two divisions but maybe you will prefer not to.
09. Structure of the playoffs.
10. Length of the league. Last year the league lasted until the very last week of the regular season, but it could be a good idea to shorten the league in order to avoid teams resting their starters for the playoffs and other similar circumstances.

08. No divisions, please!
09/10. Semis in Week 16 and Championship game in Week 17 (ESPN default settings suck ass).

I would also like to have at least 2 IR spots (i think that's the default setting in Yahoo), 1 was not ideal last year. By the way, the NFL has made some changes in that regard:

source: https://www.si.com/nfl/steelers/news/nfl-multiple-rule-changes-2022
Quote
Injured Reserve:

The NFL adjusted it's IR protocols to allow players to return from injuries. Players must spend at least four weeks on IR before being welcomed back to the team, and clubs are only allowed to return eight players from the list during the season. Players can return up to twice in a season.

<...> and i can't wait for the Norwegian football leagues to resume this weekend.  Grin

Thought i would give a shout-out to Eliteserien and OBOS-ligaen, the top two levels in Norwegian football. Teams play direct football all of the time with tons of chances and goals, similar to Serie A's BTTS, but on steroids. For reference, 14 matches were played this round of which 12 ended in btts, 10 with O2.5 goals. Here's how i did: https://i.imgur.com/LkMpZ1z.png

Those Nations League friendlies were such a bummer, the Norwegian leagues are a breath of fresh air, plus there's nothing else to bet on for the next month or so. I think it's worth a look!

Chile's appeal to have Ecuador disqualified from the World Cup in Qatar has been rejected by FIFA.

The appeal was made on the basis of Ecuador selecting an ineligible player during their qualifying campaign.

Football's world governing body opened disciplinary proceedings last month following allegations that right-back Byron Castillo is Colombian and not eligible to represent Ecuador.

Castillo made eight appearances for Ecuador in their South American qualifying campaign.

Chile, who failed to qualify for the World Cup, lodged a complaint, but FIFA confirmed on Friday that Ecuador will keep their place at the World Cup, which starts in November.

FIFA have opened disciplinary proceedings against Ecuador over the potential use of an ineligible player in their successful World Cup qualifying campaign.

Chile last week asked the world football governing body to investigate allegations that right-back Byron Castillo is actually Colombian and not eligible to represent Ecuador.

Castillo played eight times for Ecuador in South American qualifying, including a goalless draw with Chile in September and a 2-0 victory in November.

La Roja finished seventh, meaning they just missed out on a play-off spot, but believe Ecuador should be expelled from the quadrennial competition.

And FIFA have confirmed they are looking into the recent complaint made by the Federacion de Futbol de Chile.

An official statement said: "FIFA decided to open disciplinary proceedings in relation to Byron David Castillo Segura's possible breach of the call criteria for the indicated matches.

"In this context, the FEF and the Peruvian Football Federation have been invited to present their positions before the FIFA disciplinary committee."

Ecuador have already been drawn in Group A at the World Cup, alongside hosts Qatar, as well as Senegal and the Netherlands.

The 22' NBA Draft is next week (Thursday, 23rd), and i'm pretty positive we'll get a Multi-Master for that occasion.
You were spot on with your prediction. Multimaster is live and of course it is about NBA draft. Now when you are so good at predicting I am expecting you to throw some winning selections my way, or at least few correct draft picks Smiley

I have no clue about American sports and then i usually try to find some resource online, that resource proves to be incredibly bad every single time. I mean I would be super remembered if I made 4 page article about draft and scored 2/15 on Multimaster.

I don't really follow college basketball (NCAA), except for the March Madness Tournament, i don't even recognize some of the names included in the multi-master.

We are all in the same boat, gonna be guessing, the hell i know what general managers and teams gonna do on draft day.  Grin

I'll be checking a few mock drafts come next week and go from there...and may the luckiest bastard win!  Wink

J. Tatum 35+ PRA / J. Brown 25+ PRA / M. samrt 4+ ast @1.66X

..guess i'm rooting for Celtics to force a game 7, i mean who wouldn't want a game 7 Finals finish of the season?

I think one of the biggest issues Boston has to clean up is overthinking things, particularly on offense. They've looked so indecisive with the ball the last two games, with awful shot selection and hesitation on what to do/run. Keep it simple, attack Curry every single time, drive, kick, and shoot those 3s with conviction.

My prop is on Boston's two young stars, Tatum and Brown. Tatum has gone 35+ PRA in 4/L5, while Brown is 5/L5 over that number. I'm also adding Smart to get at least 4 assists (4/L5), since he's been racking up turnovers like crazy, 16 so far in the series, and i'd like to see him be more careful with the ball and tone down the half-court passes. So far, we have a new commish, i'd say agreement on the platform and scoring type, and at least one new member, welcome @Hhampuz. But what i'd really like to keep from last year is how the draft order is determined. By default, Yahoo chooses draft order at random one hour before the draft, which is OK, but it's way more fun if we do it with BTC blocks, the hash lottery: [1] [2]. Thought it was pretty cool to get our draft spots picked like that, it adds to the league's appeal imo.

Is it more difficult drafting players in Yahoo?

Nope, Yahoo has better interface, easier to navigate/draft.

I also was reading some comparisons between ESPN and Yahoo and it appears that Yahoo does not alert you if a players is out for the game or questionable?

Even the worst apps out there (namely NFL.com) have data on player's availability, who's questionable/injury reserve etc, no need to worry about that.

On our fantasy league last season, did it have have PPR? Let's do what is easier for newbies like me hehehehe.

We went with Standard scoring, in short, PPR leagues devalue running backs for wide receivers and pass-catching running backs. I personally find it easier to prepare for a draft if the league has standard scoring or 0.5 PPR . Let me share a quote i really like about PPR:

source: https://nypost.com/2016/08/04/why-ppr-is-bad-for-fantasy-football/
Quote
Ideologically, PPR is the antithesis to what fantasy sports is supposed to provide: a virtual representation of on-field performance. It makes some players more valuable than there are in reality. It was an unneeded addendum to what already was the foundation for a great fantasy experience. It is the “Phantom Menace” of fantasy football’s “Star Wars” saga: It has no reason to exist.

Since PPR’s inception, the value of receivers has become inflated with the rise of the passing game. Suddenly, the guy who catches seven passes for 50 yards scores as highly as the guy who runs for 60 and scores a touchdown. Worse, maybe your RB rips off a crucial 10-yard run on a third-down draw play for a pivotal first down, and he scores exactly as much as a WR who catches a bubble screen and gets tackled behind the line of scrimmage.

Regardless, it's a lineups check for me before i put any money on Italy...don't trust them too much, even though visiting teams tend to perform better when matches are held behind closed doors...

closed door or not, I do think that England will be motivated to win, due to EURO final loss
this competition is not worth much, and teams are playing shabby football, no matter line-ups, some players that usually play great for National teams are playing better, but most are just trying to work this out <...>

England have a score to settle, but Italy are showing some signs of improvement in the last couple of matches

Don't forget the match will be played at Molineux without fans, as England is serving a two-game ban from UEFA:

Saturday’s match at the home of Wolverhampton Wanderers comes 11 months on from the night where the Three Lions suffered penalty shoot out heartbreak at Wembley against the Azzurri.

England’s first major final in 55 years was marred however by serious unrest ahead of kick-off. Fans fought with stewards and police as they attempted to force their way into the stadium without tickets, causing havoc with a number of arrests made.

As a result, the FA was fined €100,000 with England handed a two-game stadium ban – with the second game suspended for two years.

It is the first time the national team has received a punishment that has resulted in a home match being played behind closed doors.

Regardless, it's a lineups check for me before i put any money on Italy...don't trust them too much, even though visiting teams tend to perform better when matches are held behind closed doors...

I'm trying to get all my fantasy leagues at Yahoo next season, kinda tired of jumping around different apps and websites.

Don't hate ESPN, they have an alright UI, positional rankings are handy, but Yahoo is just better overall.

+1 shill vote for Yahoo!  Grin
