761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | Anonymous (alpha) | KGW | No Premine | ASIC Resistant on: February 22, 2014, 02:04:17 AM
Can someone explain the ASIC-resistance of DRK? Others use increased memory requirements relative to scrypt. Where does DRK's resistance come from? It uses multiple hashing functions but why can't an ASIC that performs all of them be built? How long will this resistance last?

Testing the waters with 20k in the Ponzi scheme. Will let you guys know if they're a legit scam or a scam scam. Tongue

Might as well get in while it's early?
And another one is falling for the lure...
Next you will try it big and fail big.
Don't say you weren't warned.
The Ponzi scheme is still alive and kickin'

I know full well how Ponzis schemes work. A secret one is a scam but an open one like this is just a game. The possibility of failure is part of the fun. You're not into game theory, are you?  Tongue

ROFL. You couldn't even figure out the context. Hint: read the last few pages.

Oh, honey. Reading comprehension. It's important. Less slacking off in school, mmmkay?

The dash in the D could lead to confusion with Dogecoin, which is much larger and has been using it longer. Also, a metallic look is nice during a one-time side-by-side comparison, but for something ubiquitous that you see over and over again, you want something flatter and more cartoony like LTC's logo.

Guys it's a clear scam:

Total Deposited now: 22,5 btc
Total Paid: 5,5 btc
In balance: 5 btc

Where are 12 btc?? lol xD

Also if you look at the LTC wallet you'll see it's the correct balance.

We use Cryptsy api. That is why you see the difference.

Before to say something bad about the website, please contact our support. We are happy to answer any questions you might have.

What happened with my doge deposit??? It has 12 confirmations and no trace of it: 3d55fe4b9481a54ca9b8a3761f6dac19d498e2d5fd7069eb17d232b09933a9da

There's a delay beyond just the 6 confirmations. Mine got listed at like 15 confirmations so I wouldn't worry about it just yet.

I'll report back in 2 days on DOGE. But if you're the type willing to do this, now is better than later when it comes to Ponzi schemes.  Tongue

From what I know of human behavior, this could go on for months. Especially since crypto people are not exactly the risk-averse type.
As long as the volume of people keeps around the same the it can go for months, I hope.

Doesn't the betting volume need to *increase* over time to support 2x payouts?

So much drama. The entertainment value is much higher than the actual profit I make off mining Panda.

Can you post the technical details of this Proof of Scam system? Do you have a white paper?

I wonder if it'll touch 30s again. Investors, pump your coin?  Wink

It seems he delivered. Tongue

Went from 60 to 48 and just rapidly climbed up to 62 on MintPal.

Wonder how long he can keep it up?

Not sure why inflation would prevent anyone from getting rich. If we get 5% more users in 2015 than in 2014 (a trivial target), then the inflation is matched by demand.

Who decides what's "real"? The market, of course. We'll see which one is ahead in 6 months. :p

Personally I'm mining the fake panda (i.e. wolong's) and immediately dumping for BTC to buy other alts. It's quite profitable.
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SRC] SecureCoin | A Fast and Secure Version of Bitcoin | LAUNCHED on: February 19, 2014, 06:51:58 AM
Hi, I'm very new to CPU mining. How many SRC can I expect per day at 550 kH/s (which is what I'm getting off my i7 2600K)?
776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [pandacoin] The Panda Coin ♥ Scrypt Adaptive-N w/Kimotos Gravity Well ★ on: February 18, 2014, 09:15:20 AM
Why do Nitro, Dedicated, and United-Miners' estimates for coins/day at the same kH/s differ so much? For example, looking at the top miners list, Nitro says 1 million/day for 20 MH/s, Dedicated says 1.2 million, and United says 1.6 million. What gives?
