761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: October 22, 2013, 10:05:17 PM
It's gone up now to 151 hours, that's about 6 days  Shocked
I think it would be best to remove BTC.

At our current hashrate the average time to find a BTC block is about 10-15 days.  The payouts are proportional and all shares will be paid.

Our variance will decrease once we have more hashrate.  BTC is staying.

Just read that 10-15 days, so in essence we are loosing profit from other coins that could be trade for btc. while we wait on finding a btc block is that correct?

well seems you cant set auto payout past 0, like 0.02 or something but oh well glade i finally got 1 place to mine everything. and don't have load 4 or 5 screens to check miners.
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: October 22, 2013, 08:08:30 PM
ya i should had checked crypsty before i posted Tongue They add all the address for the alt coins Smiley)

Got address for all Smiley now as long as crypsty can stay online and not go down Sad.

Last question before i start the miners up what's the min payout each of the coins .0001? cause my scrypt hash rate is a wee low Sad
764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: October 22, 2013, 07:42:20 PM
So.. does that mean all this alt coins that i dont have address too are being wasted?
Or can i set them to auto payout to btc?
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: October 22, 2013, 05:44:35 PM
Got a few questions, First if we mine sha256 alt coin/btc will the server auto changes us to the new alt coin? Like i only need 1 address in my .bat file to mine all the alt coins you have to offer.

Second, same as above for scrypt. atm mining on hashcows, and they auto switch between alt coins and also allow use to choose to be paid in alt coin we mine or convert to btc.

Third how is payout managed, (PPS/PPLNS/DGM) once a day? are we always paid in btc no matter the coin.?

Looking forward to mine here

766  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [70 TH] EMC: No Fee DGM. Anonymous PPS. Dwolla Payout. on: October 22, 2013, 04:54:12 AM
well last night i was watching bfgminer console and kept watching it fail over from us1 to 2 then to 3 and back to 1. My usb miner lights were on 1/2 the time due to constant pool hopping and the yet again the hash rate would drop to 0 and worker light went off. BTW that happened like 5 or 6 rounds the pool hopping fail over.

There is something diffidently wrong either dns bugs or another ddos attack.

Would like to mine here but don't trust the connection atm.

PS

Might want to remove the Dwolla Payout of the subject line seeing you already remove the payout option/button.

767  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Solo question - will blocks be accepted? basic BTC question. on: October 22, 2013, 04:24:00 AM
Also you'll want a failover address in there from another larger pool, to keep your block in sync with the rest of miners. hate to work on day old data. Smiley
O and if you using bfgminer need to readme.solo file need to set an payout address and if you want to sign the block you solve Smiley

Here is an example:

bfgminer --compact -o  http://localhost:8332 -u icon -p xxx -o  stratum.btcguild.com:3333  -u xx -p xx -G -S erupter:\\.\com53 -S erupter:\\.\com28  --coinbase-addr 1JafVRe23oLSku4FBwBE3rJAKc9Y8wZM5z     --coinbase-sig "Yep Icon did it again!"

That above is were i assigned 2 com ports (usb miners) to solo for me Smiley

768  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [650 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees, Stratum, MergedMining, Private Servers on: October 21, 2013, 12:53:16 AM

To be fair, running multiple instances of mining software is pretty rare.  Most people don't waste their time.  For the vast majority, BFGMiner is superior.  For fringe cases that for some reason decide they want to split it over multiple instances, cgminer is better (possibly).

Lol speak for yourself, i currently have no less then 4 instances of bfgminer running same time on 1 pc. I found out how to map com ports to each worker and running 50 usb miners,  divided them in half running on two pool same time, plus running scrypt (twice on same gpu) and if i really want to i can remap 2 com ports to solo mine a wee little btc.

All kinds of goodness you can get out of bfgminer.

Ah don' t think you can choose which coins you mine, only choice you got is to be paid in that currency or be paid in btc.

770  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [70 TH] EMC: No Fee DGM. Anonymous PPS. Dwolla Payout. on: October 20, 2013, 01:45:09 AM
at the time of this post, the web site is up and i can log in and its show 0 hashing but bfgminer is submitting shares and they are being accept, soo whats wrong?

771  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining feels pointless these days? Try this... on: October 19, 2013, 11:34:47 PM
Or.. find an alt coin sha256 mining pool that will transfer your alt coins to btc for you Smiley

This is happening on old gpu mining cards..

772  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: End of Big Miners on: October 19, 2013, 09:54:38 PM
First off, someone hasn't got a clue about mining, when/if the people turn off there miners the diff rate WILL drop. (just look at LTC diff keeps going up and down).

Second, mining scrypt coins and exchanging them into btc is giving new life into old gpu miners, same thing can be done to sha256 alt coins. Use those old usb miners to mine sha256 alt coins, to trade for btc.

Any thought of adding an SHA256 alt coin mining pool? Get some use out of my dieing 333 mh/s usb miners Tongue

774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin rises, litecoin plummets on: October 18, 2013, 07:47:02 PM
Well for what its worth , i went ahead and invested into 100 ltc, just like i did back 2 years ago when i solo mined 100 btc Smiley and held it for 2 years. So lets see what the next 2 years has in store Smiley

That said, the ltc i mining now is getting converted into btc.

775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool on: October 16, 2013, 08:46:52 PM
Ya seems to be working now Smiley i put in the wrong pw and it said "Two-factor authentication is enabled for this account. Please enter the authentication code."

So its all good now:) Maybe the server didn't have it enabled for me till now. Either way its working now.. Thanks

776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool on: October 16, 2013, 01:37:26 AM
Well i was installing a fresh copy of windows on another pc, When i tried to log in using firefox with no addons installed and knowing the 2factor was enabled and was never prompted for the google auth one time key, matter fact only time i'm asked for the key is to enable/disable it.

Also i tried on my desktop pc that i game on (using firefox), I loged in and disabled and re enabled it, and loged out and back in still was not prompted for the 2factor key.
777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool on: October 15, 2013, 01:52:21 AM
Well it says its enabled i hit the log out button on the account page then type in my log in info/pw and back to account page, don't even get asked to enter the google authen..
778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool on: October 14, 2013, 04:42:24 AM
Got a question, what good/use is the 2factor used to.. its not used for logging in . cant lock the payout address with it can you?  I know it has a one time lock out payout address option..

Love the pool.

20% is quite high but I'll still look into it and see how it works for a few days.

That is way higher than my experience.  My problem with load balancing was that the split was very uneven.  But now with the new quota method it may be better.

Ah not sure of the % i mine at 16 gh/s and lost 2 gh/s doing load-balance, and the fact the usb miner leds come on and off and stay on for a sec then go back mining. Like they where waiting on something...

Also something you can try if you want in bfgminer with no over head is manually set the com ports for each instance of bfgminer to use. Like run 2 instance of bfgminer and set one to mine for btc guild other for eclipse and use the format:  -S erupter:\\.\com42 -S erupter:\\.\com44. basically you tell each com port which pool to mine for.. Works really well and 0 overhead just have to run 2 instance of bfgminer and you can even get back your failover pools Smiley and its hard set the hash rate 50/50 or ever how many com ports you assign to each pool.

Yep --balance --load-balance options, thing is it basically connecting and reconnecting to the servers you add, now you loose failover option when doing load balance or balance options and there is some hashing power you'll loose due to the over head of constant connects and reconnects. about 20% from what i have tested.
