761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with instant transactions? on: March 16, 2017, 12:49:17 PM
Actually, RaiBlocks is the best option for 0 confirmation instant transactions and it charges 0 fees. But it depends on what your focus is - privacy, speed or safety? Personally, I use NEM and I'm very happy with the experience. But I'm not concerned about privacy and it is not my goal to use anonymous transactions.  For that case, XMR is the best.

MUE looks interesting. I heard about this project for first time on TheViralExchange. Will buy some to hodl.
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 16, 2017, 10:27:39 AM
Very huge volatility to make 1 BTC in one 30 min trade. That is crazy but I like it. However my XMR are locked in my wallet and I'm not willing to play any games with my cold balance.
764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's happening? on: March 16, 2017, 10:00:03 AM
So, we are here. Coinbase just announced that they will charge users for on-chain transactions. A lot of people, who used Bitcoin for micro payments will lose opportunity to send small portions of Bitcoin. So, we're left with motto - "you can buy Tesla with BTC and pay lower fees". Wow, Bitcoin is only for rich now. Sorry, it is not for me and, as market is showing, not for many people.

p.s. does Antonopoulos will continue saying that Bitcoin is designed for Africa? Africans are going to buy Tesla with avarage 8-9USD income per month!!! Miracle!
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: March 16, 2017, 09:51:33 AM

you need a visa card and a bank account plus feeeeeeeeeees ...crypto is more for unbanked people.bank can not compete with crypto.   case closed

1)
Except on localbitcoins to buy crypto you need what?!
again bank account and credit card!  Undecided

2)
To buy altcoins you need what?!
You need to buy BTC first as all the altcoins are traded for BTC.

3) to buy BTC go to point 1.

We are stuck and will be stuck in this loop until someone starts producing and selling food
directly for crypto bypassing all that FIAT crap
as it seems you can't eat if you don't not have FIAT.

1. localbitcoins accept cash no need for a bank account
ATMs also accept cash no bank account  is needed

2. now you've to pay for google fee( YOUR PRIVACY wiLL BE SOLD to cover the cost of the app and settlement...nothing is free☺) & bank transfer fees + take 3 days to the money to show up on you bank account
no thx not for me

3. with crypto you have access to a whole financial ecosystem. not just send and receive money
u can lend money borrow money buy stocks create your assets  ..ect and in the same time protecting you privacy if u choose to
4 .it is cheap like dirt & cross border ...this is why google+visa can not compete unless they create their own blockchain.

5. you can spend you crypto easily without using fiat
there is s hundred of thousand shops that accept btc and altcoin...

Actually, I'm not bothered with google pay and similar paypal type services as I can use mobile app in my country without any fees. I can pay in any store and receive money instantly to my account paying 0 fees. I also don't bother myself with privacy issues as I do not have anything to hide. I want to pay taxes as I think it is for social good of society and my country.
766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: digital currency on: March 16, 2017, 09:43:00 AM
What if someone creates a better digital currency?

Someone will like the internet of the first days was very user unfriendly but with time it became more and more oriented towards customers. The same will happen with crypto. While some projects will continue development the new ones will learn from the mistakes of their predecessors.
767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: March 15, 2017, 09:52:15 PM
Slightly, step by step we are going up after ETF issue was disapproved. I expect to see NAUT 0.0001 next week. It could take some time to recover but I'm almost sure that it is going up.

you are all noobs here! this coin is dead shit long time ago

and you're legendary member and know everything about crypto with Jr. account? You just don't know how crypto is working. The coin is not dead until you can pump it. NAUT has a good volume, so there is no need to delist this coin.
768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Google Coin on: March 15, 2017, 11:23:59 AM
I don't think this rivals crypto any more than paypal does (which is greatly in one respect)

The entire point of crypto though is there is eventually NO point of central control.

This is just paypal from google.

Also how are you going to make crazy ROI'Z on this?

Although many hate the gambling aspect of crypto it is actually the driving force and funding for its development.

People don't mind losing a gamble if it is fair or appears fair. They don't like getting openly shafted. This is why stomping down on open scams is very important. They inhibit the furtherment of crypto by frightening crypto enthusiasts and gamblers away.

Eventually crypto will improve to be really decentralised end to end.

I should agree with some of your points. Yes, crypto is the only P2P decentralized network. However, Google is different from Paypal because it doesn't charge any fees for TX's. What will happen in the future, I suppose, Google will provide service for unbanked. It would be enough to have simple android wallet to get $ as you are getting emails. Businesses will accept google worldwide because it hasn't fees. In this way it is revolutionary. They can allow to not charge people as they have a lot of streams of income while crypto doesn't.
769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Google Coin on: March 15, 2017, 10:45:05 AM
It was only a matter of time when it happens. Google, FB, Youtube, Twitter etc. has billions of users and it is easy to throw in-platform currency upon them and send the banks into knockout. They don't need to hunter new customers because they have a lot. They don't need any stupid marketing because everyone knows what is Google. But there are some disadvantages. It is still centralized and they can freeze your account any minute. They will send you bunch of advertisments based on your shopping and search history habits.

Gmail on Android now lets you send and request money - and doing so is "completely free".
"they can even arrange for money they receive to go directly into their bank account".
.
This part is a game changer. Why bother with blockchain issues if you can move money in seconds for free directly to your bank account!
Just because you have a business giant with millions of users doesn't mean you can do anything.
If Google, fb etc try to interfere and disrupt the monetary system, they will be punished by government.

If you have business with millions of users that means - you already have user base and you don't need to spend your time to attract them like most of crypto must. Decentralization is idea of libertarians and not of ordinary people. Why you people can't understand that ordinary ones don't need decentralized money and do not bother themselves with decentralization. They will use Google wallet as they're using gmail, Fb, Apple etc.
Why anybody, execpt libertarians, needs blockchain if we have better technology of giant corporations? Does Bitcoin debate is not going about scaling and TX's confirmation time? It can scale 4-5 TX's per second. Wow  Grin And Google Pay can scale as many transactions as emails are sent - unlimited.

Regarding the banks and Google - they wil cohabit. It is easy to respond to AML and KYC requirements with Google and other giant organizations. It is government and bank friendly.

Some off-topic but very important news connected with blockchain development.

Now Gmail app on Android allows you to send money to any Gmail user in seconds, for free, directly into their bank account.
How any blockchain can survive after this? Money now are going like email.  Google has a big user base, so they have many advantages. They don't need to waste money to attract the new users to use their service.

772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BLUE MAGIC Capital: Blockchain investing firm (hedge funds in ICONOMI) on: March 14, 2017, 03:17:53 PM
Very much uncertainty again with the rise of Bitcoin price. I was waiting for correction as well but I have spotted that every new time BTC dumps the price of it recovers more quickly. It seems that ETF drama brought a lot of attention from media and WSJ type guys started to invest into Bitcoin. While I still think that this growth is speculative next week we can see some correction in BTC price. If not, and BTC again goes through ATH I suppose that altcoins will suffer hard.
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's happening? on: March 14, 2017, 01:39:36 PM
bitcoin went up, everyone dumped their altcoins to come back to bitcoin. then bitcoin went up some more, altcoins got dumped more. and then bitcoin continued going up and altcoins were dumped pretty hard.

all those dumps meant bottom prices were reached in almost all the altcoins. and now that bitcoin is stable once again, trading is getting hotter back in altcoin world and pumpers who picked up the bottoms are now pumping the coins to cash out.

Yes, you explained the situation quite clearly. A lot of money went back to altcoins because ETF was rejected. But After some days of pumping we are back from where we have started - Bitcoin continues its rally and we should see dumping of alts. It suggests that we'll see a new low of many alts because BTC is going to ATH. It will pump very hard because of huge media hype around Bitcoin. People are starting to cash back and going into BTC because they don't want to miss a bullish run.

775  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: March 13, 2017, 02:27:50 PM
Best investment would be a low rated coin with small market cap.
If you're between, let's say 2k to 25K, slowly buy in an accumulation phase of an altoin. But of course you don't pick the first one, research are a must.
If you want to invest in very long, BTC is still a good boat, but buy and wait that's it.
But it will give a high risk, I don't know when the coin will be turned into the shit coin, and it can be happening on every time. Although with a lot of the research about that coin but it can't give a high accuracy about the future of coin itself.

BTC investment is always good option. Please make some sense that the market of btc is expanding. But we know that it is not sure when the price will go down/raise, generally 2 approach you have to follow to gain profit or stay in the safe path: 1.Purchase the btc when the price is less and 2. sale it when the price is high. But anyway you must have the patience to wait so that you wont regret by taking the quick step for investing or selling. the btc world is growing well so very unlikely that it will become obsolete.

Patience is not the problem here, it's timing. Everyone can be patient, everyone can wait for months before making a move on his bitcoin investments. The problem here is identifying when is the price actually a low price and when is it a high price. You can't simply base these things on the previous price because it can still move further.

For example, it's $1200 today and the price goes to $1300 the next day. You sell your coins at that time because it's "high" and then the next day, the price went to $1400. There's no way that you can know if the price is already a good time to buy/sell unless you're an experienced trader and you know all of the latest updates.

Bitcoin is highly overpriced with problems of scalability it has. I think it should drop below though bulltrend looks strong. However, it is almost clear that speculators will dump it one day.
776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: March 13, 2017, 12:01:31 PM
Ive been reading only good news about factom for years now...(plural) but its not reflected in the price (kinda). Last summer we went to 500-600k and i thought we would go uphill from there and reach/surpass our old high of 880k. Shame tho but its ok because everyone in cryptos knows about the potential here.
Whales come and go... but jeezz these whales are persistent (I mean how many cars does one person really need?).
Dash finally flies. HAd to wait +- 3 years for dash's rise. Factom is kinda in the same situation as dash was regarding manipulation (for years!).

Im still convinced 2017 will be a beautiful year for factom. They deserve every bit of it if you ask me. And if not 2018 ...2020 for gods sake. Factom is going to fly and change our lives like some of these alts did for us. Period.

We can't wait for years because m3 will be launched sooner or later and then we've got inflation. The supply start to increase and factoids become cheaper.

And there's no certainty that users will be burning factoids in a sufficient amount in that time.

The 0.006 high seems as unreal. But I will be very happy if it happens.

For the record, factom is the last big coin without a massive pump. Maybe after dash's party we can see a big rise.

Once more, pls do sell and move to some other coin. You re obviously not happy with Factom so why do you bother going through this every day.
Unless you re just another speculator who wants to buy more, more and more and just fuds the thread cause of this. If this is the case, please let u know so we do discuss these issues with you anymore.

Personally, if this project does not succeed in the future, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in cryptoland will. So I ll hold and hold and I do not care about the price. Cause once this becomes obvious, no troll will be able to shit on Factom.

Very good point of view. It should be repeated again and again. But I should admit that complains about price reflects all crypto. People are here just for speculation. Because of that crypto should somehow attract interest of business. It will bring usage and stability.
777  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hold in Dash overnight or USDT? on: March 13, 2017, 11:29:25 AM
Why to risk with Dash if you can hold Bitcoin and grow your balance everyday. It is going only direction - upwards, pumping forever.
778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Cryptocurrency's killer app: disrupting web ads via RaiBlocks micropayments on: March 13, 2017, 11:16:41 AM
It is a pity that RaiBlocks were removed from Cryptopia I have just started to accumalate it.
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what to do with your USDT? Buy LTC on: March 13, 2017, 10:17:50 AM
I suggest you to keep your USDT. It is the most stable asset in crypto space. You'll not lose anything. Why to risk and buy LTC? Yes, it looks stable but it also goes down with BTC rally. Probably you can get some DOGE. The price is kind of stable not so much volatility. But it seems that Bitcoin just started its run and price will rise significantly. The bubble just started it is not far from $2000, $3000, $5000. It can skyrocket any minute "to the moon". Now, after ETF was disapproved, we know that BTC rise was not connected with speculation on ETF approval. I was wrong because I thought that the rise in price was only due ETF speculation. But facts are in my face and it continues to rise to beat ATH again. Probably this week $1400-1500.
780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin maxmilist need to be worried about DASH! on: March 13, 2017, 10:09:35 AM
DASH is going release evolution which will be like Amazon/eBay and PayPal put together.

PayPal 51.9 Billion market cap
eBay 36 Billion market cap
Amazon 406 Billion market cap

DASH will be most likely be way cheaper than all of the above services. Imagine a decentralized hub of services and products run on the block chain it's called evolution.

To think that Bitcoin the longest chain would be the only chain that would be used everywhere. Problem is the fees are high and only gonna get higher. Bitcoin unconfirmed transaction are growing. Smart money is pouring into DASH. So DASH is gonna be 1 Billion market soon and will be taking most of PayPal, Amazon and eBay market.

I was thinking a lot about Dash future but I can't say that it will succeed. Amazon, PayPal, ebay, Alibaba etc have their own user base and they can issue their own digital currencies/assets. I think that the sharp rise in Dash price is influenced by Bitcoin scalability problems. Dash goes into a bubble with a lot of FUD and hype around.
Regarding Bitcoin the main problem in the future is not a confirmation times and price per payment. The main problem is BTC network itself. We can agree that it is the safest blockchain because a lot of miners are involved. But miners are not for safety of network they are for profits. This scheme works only way - miners are interested to mine and only will do that if reward is bigger than expanditures. Mining costs a lot today and will cost much more in the future. It means that to run Bitcoin network is very expansive and it is a question how profitable it will remain. Customers and companies are unsatisfied with costs of TX's. BTC doesn't reflect the needs of business and customers. It only reflects the needs of speculators. Because of that, if anything changes aren't introduced in the future, it will fail and people will choose other options. But I don't think that Dash will change BTC. I have another favourite.
