So basically I have to give up my private keys in order to use CLAM? I haven't quite understood that yet.

Just to be sure you understand.  You do NOT have to give up your private keys to USE clams.  It's just a regular old alt coin as far as usage goes.

You DO have to provide your private keys in order to DIG any clams.  This is the processes you use to claim your clams from the initial distribution.

well anyone who was there can attest to my statement... a little under 30k

Yes you did!!!!   And thanks....   They'll be staking shortly....
783  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: btc-arbs.com - Update: dead HYIP, Refund progress: BTC-arbs still doing refunds on: December 06, 2014, 04:30:02 AM
I suppose it could be easier to aggregate the week's profits and do it once a week or something, but it'd be nice if BTC-Arbs would clarify how he's doing things, so people would have some reasonable expectation of when things would happen. Make it a round every Friday or whatever.

Sorry, guys, a question, where from do you get the idea, that heīs generating profits from anywhere, let alone from arbitrageing. ( i could have missed that in this drawn out thread, point me to his post regarding this, please)
Couldnīt it be, that heīs just stretching the leftovers of our money with micropayments as small and looong as possible, counting on us dying of old age before it runs out ? (Ponzi, anyone ?)

I guess heīs happy, that we are easily satisfied with bread crumbets, once a while.

The reason, heīs still here, is not because heīs a generous human, but because people came to close to his identity (see posts waay back in this thread somewhere).
So, i think heīs laughing his ass off, over our patience, and doesnt have to bother to give any clarification about the real situation, any plan, or commitment.
Its just: "more micropayments coming soon" , and then we: "thank you, thank you, thank you . . ."

Frustrating.

BTC-Arbs, what is your plan, any plan ?  Talk to us, please !

(you know, business-plan, and cumbersome stuff like that)

The Whole Story - From BTC-Arbs ADMIN

I am aware that this post may fall upon deaf ears, given the mob mentality that seems to have developed as a fallout from BTC-Arbs, however I am here with the ultimate goal of resolving the issues that currently face everyone involved. Before I get into my future plans I feel it is necessary to share a bit of background information on BTC-Arbs.

Scam Allegations

BTC Arbs was not created to be a scam, and was never intended to rip off investors. Bitcoin arbitrage is possible and many Bitcoin users have realized this and have started arbitrage trading on their own. Bitcoin arbitrage trading took place and earnings were made. Anyone who has ever looked at bitcoinaverage dot com can confirm this. The prices vary greatly from exchange to exchange, and there are always variations on the price. Even today, you can buy Bitcoin on BTCE for $556 and then sell it immediately on Bitstamp for $572. That produces a 2.7% profit, which is closer to 2% after exchange fees and transfer costs.

BTC-Arbs was not created to scam users.

Hacking

In early April, the BTC Arbs website was hacked. Numerous members can corroborate this fact. Many accounts were accessed and large amounts of Bitcoin were withdrawn. When this first started occurring, we were under the impression that it was due to users who had failed to secure their accounts with 2-factor authentication and who had been infected with a virus. It then became apparent that the website was not secure and the issue was impacting hundreds of accounts. HUNDREDS of Bitcoins were paid out that should not have been. To make matters worse, our incoming Bitcoin addresses were changed and hackers stole all of the incoming coins. When we tried to fix the issue, we just kept getting hacked over and over. Finally the problem was solved, but it was too late.

After the hacking, the plan was to use profits to re-liquidate the program, however people continued to withdraw, which ultimately lead to the overall failure and "reset". This can be referred to as a run on the bank.

100,000 Bitcoin Address

Those who believe that the 100,000 Bitcoin address belongs to BTC-Arbs are crazy. The total value of ALL BTC-Arbs accounts is more or less 500 Bitcoins. We weren't some billion dollar scam. The average user had less than 1 Bitcoin in their account. There are only 7 users with balances over 20 Bitcoins. There were less than 1000 accounts with Bitcoins in them.

Re-Incarnation

Upon resetting the program, the plan was to pay back all users using future profits. The plan was going well and members of Bitcoin Talk can attest that withdrawals were being paid and that many users had begun receiving a good portion of their investments back. The plan was going well until angry users decided to:
- Hack the website further
- Initiate a prolonged DDOS attack against the server
- File a trademark complaint for the domain (WTF???)
- Freeze fiat accounts (preventing refunds)

Apology

I am VERY VERY VERY SORRY that the outcome of BTC-Arbs was what it was. I had dreams of running the first large and legitimate Bitcoin Arbitrage investment company that could have one day competed with banks and other global investment institutions. Instead, my dreams were destroyed and I now receive threats on a daily basis.

Moving Forward

I have created a plan to help us move forward. I would appreciate everyone's help in fulfilling it. If you have any suggestions on how to improve my plan please tell me.

The Plan
1 - I have some Bitcoins left and I am still doing arbitrage with them.
2 - I want nothing more than to repay everyone. This won't be instant, but I want to do my best.
3 - I will continue paying refunds to everyone who lost money. In the interest of fairness, I think it is reasonable that until everyone is repaid their initial investments, that everyone only request the amount that was lost, not including profits.
4 - Please send your username, amount lost, Bitcoin address, username here (optional), details of your deposits, and any other information you can think of to btcarbsrefunds@safe-mail.net or by PM here.
5 - I will be using this thread to keep track of everything that I do, including refunds.

BTC Arbs is NOT a scam. It was a failed investment that is now trying to make good on past promises.

This was his first post.  You can go to his profile, and look through all of the messages he's posted to get all of the gory details.

That's an excellent suggestion.  It seemed like it was every 3-4 days, and now it just feels longer.  No time to check his updates.  But knowing he was doing something every week, would make it easier on everyone.  Even better would be to assign a number to each account, PM the person their number and post that he's pay numbers x-y of z this week.  Gives everyone an idea where they are on the list and when to expect payments.  No promises, but at least you can come close to figuring when to expect something.
785  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: btc-arbs.com - Update: dead HYIP, Refund progress: BTC-arbs still doing refunds on: December 05, 2014, 08:04:55 PM
Since people are not still reporting when they receive payments in this thread, I'm not sure how long he's been going between payment rounds. Used to be 2-3 days, I think. No clue what it is, now.

He reports everytime he's about to make a payment, so you could look for his updates.  And yea it seems to be slowing down.
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Snowballs | Do you have BALLS for a ROLLERCOASTER!? | HARD FORK - UPDATE!! on: December 04, 2014, 09:02:22 PM
Just so this is out in the open early...

Once we get to the flat 1000% stake, we will be merging Maieuticoin and Snowballs into one block chain. There will be a set number of coins mined in the first block. Half will go towards a trade-in for Maieuticoin and half will be a trade-in for Snowballs. You will receive your new coins at a rate that is fair and puts each half at a comparable value. The new coin will remain Snowballs (BALLS) as the name and ticker and the stake will be a flat 1000%. This will not happen until after Snowballs Block 100,000

this is confirmed  Huh
we are coming in Block 100,000
Not sure if the merge will happend, since M already forked to 2014%.
Time will tell, holding both.
Happy staking

I was waiting for one of the more official folks to answer, but I believe the merge is off.  So there will be a snowballs coin and an MMXIV one.

It's been almost 3 months since the inception of Qibuck, and I'm still here haha.  Very excited for the next payout round, glad to see QBK alive and kicking. Smiley

Almost 4 months.  And yea, I'm still here too....

48 hours I only staked just over 1k balls and i have over 40k so it looks stuck to me, since this morning it still says 8 hours to stake, it hasn't moved and wallet is unlocked..Is there anything wrong with staking?.Also haven't sold or moved any balls for 3 days was hoping it would stake and accumulate.. I am ill so not much online, will be back tomorrow..

@ iGotSpots In my wallet disappeared a block of about 16,000 BALLS. What can you say about this situation? How is it possible or what happens? Please answer me. Thank You.

This has been covered several times.  The wallet has a bug, in that is doesn't report stakes correctly.  The coins are currently staking, and will reappear once they have matured.  You can get your accurate total by going to the debug/console and typing "getinfo".

Thanks @chilly2k. That means you the number of coins that disappear in balance, are staking, but when they finish staking, then appear again in balance?

Yes,  and it can be really weird.  I think only the first stake is missing.  If you have 2 stakes going on some of the coins show in the stakebalance.  Have no fear, the coins are still safely in your wallet.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Snowballs | Do you have BALLS for a ROLLERCOASTER!? | HARD FORK - UPDATE!! on: December 02, 2014, 01:18:05 PM
As i Asked and red in the previous pages no one is willing to answer any questions about The STAKE but some wish the wallet is never going to stake in the coming days\Month Huh? What the problem with the stake i have almost 1500ball for 5 days nothing is coming the wallet unlock and always running.

With the current difficulty, it will take your 1.5K balls a little while to stake.  They will continue to accrue interest while waiting to stake, so your not losing anything, except access to them.

Based on the design of Balls it could take a little while for the network to level out.  At first everyone was staking almost as soon as the coins were mature.  Since they were less then 48 hours old, every stake was getting split into smaller and smaller stakes.  Then as everyone started pulling Balls from the exchanges to stake, the larger stakes were happening fast and the smaller ones took longer.  The larger piles are being split, and the smaller piles are gaining weight.  When the smaller piles finally stake, they will not be split because the time is greater then 48 hours.  Eventually, if no one added new coins to stake, all of the stakes would be close to the same size.

This is all done to keep the network flowing smoothly.

Dev.. why difficult is going up so much? From around 4-5 to 243 Huh At the coin's current price it's impossible to pay the hashrate going into the coin. So are some people out there sadomasochists or can't I understanding something Huh

I'm not aware of any coins currently that are actually paying for their hashrate. The bloodbath that is the current alt situation has taken the profit out of mining & dumping.

I have some miners parked on DogeD due to the potential this coin holds. The technology combined with an active dev who communicates makes DogeD a coin worth holding a few million of IMHO.

All investment carries inherent risk. The $10 you spend mining $5 worth of DodeD may turn into $100.

I agree with Dev that some organic promotion is in order. Devs last tweet only received 17 RT's. Anybody who owns DogeD needs to follow https://twitter.com/Dogedcoin and retweet everything..
It's simply about exposure and public awareness at this time...spread the word!

Something as simple as adding DogeD with a link to this thread can help spread the word.

Here is the code to add to your sig.
Code:
[url=https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=817937.0][color=black][b]★ DogeCoinDark[/b] - [u]Anon via TOR Darknet & I2P Darknet[/u][/color][/url]

Get with the program people!

I don't Tweet, but I tried adding the sig line.  We'll see how well I did in just a minute.
Dang, Didn't work the first time.  Had to move things around.  Looking good now.

When do y'all think he'll be done with 2nd payments?

This payment process takes a long, long time. I wouldn't put a timeframe on it...but it has been somewhere in the neighborhood of 4-6 weeks between payments, for me.

I haven't even got a FIRST payment, let alone a second. Only posted, oh about 40 pages back.

BTCArbs username - blingbling
Amount missing - 1.2 BTC
Only had made .2 in interest, never harassed him, only asked for the 1BTC back. Likewise never got one post, mention or reply, sent PM and posted here.

BTC Address: 13gZsFdxiL1NXEbaGkLAvXQEXKSbLWcGQA

Then you really need to PM him again.  He's responded to almost everyone that had a valid debt.  You really need to provide all of the info in your PM.  He tends to only work from those

Well, if thats true, that`s great, because i wrote a few e-mails to his address (btcarbsrefund@ ..), which i thought he created just for this reason. Getting no answer, i thought, he just doesnīt give a shit.
I did not get anything, zero satoshi, up to now  ! !
Didīnt know, we would only get recognized by PM-ing him and writing in this thread on every page, how grateful we are, to get recognized as victims.
Didnīt have the time to follow this thread lately, because we have a live besides this incident. You know, the money has to come from somewhere ? ! !
This thread is depressing anyway, people begging (page after page) for what is rightly theirs, Getting micro-payment after micro-payment and then hailing the robber for still beeing here.
So, i will write a PM to him with my details, again, and then he will admit to having fucked me royally, and to make me whole, right ?
Do i sound angry ?
Well, thats because i am just that. I will start hailing you when you made me whole, not earlier, dear btc-arbs.

Hey, I can understand your anger and don't fault you for it.  I've been following the thread and know his EMail was terminated, I believe in Aug.  So he lost all of the emails.  I was in the same boat as you.  I only communicated through Email.  I sent him a PM once I found out about his email problem, got a reply about a month later.   Hopefully you'll get something soon.

i have dl the wallet but i didn`t see any option of auto sell bot..can someone explain please?

Assuming you have the latest wallet.

The top line in the wallet has overview / send coins / receive coins /  transactions / address book      You should see a little scroll tab to the right,  Click on that.  That should cause a drop down with Notifications / calculator / market place / bots.

Bot's is what you want.

You can also stretch the wallet to the right, and it will display the hidden areas.

i see it now,thanks:)...but when i click on it..nothing happen,my wallet version is v1.9.4.1

Are you sure you downloaded the latest wallet, that included the tradebot?  My version is the same as yours.  But sometimes Dev's forget to update the version.  So you could still be at the old level of the code.  Otherwise I have no idea why it's not working for you.

when will the 2014% stake kicks in?

Important updates at block 80,000 include:

The MMXIV Ticker has returned! We found a creative way to incorporate it back into the coin
Yearly staking yield increased to 2014%. The previous rate of 50% was below market average
Peers that do not update prior to the hard fork will all become rejected nodes after block 80,000
If you were previously using 1.0.3, the client will automatically reindex the blockchain on first load
We were unimpressed with 1.0.3; increased orphans with coin control lacking utility. That being said...
Coin control has been removed for the current build, but will come back with more features very soon

Im 18 hours in and still waiting for that first stake (>")>

Is that after the 24 maturing time?  If not you have 6 more hours before you start to stake.

Staking is taking a long time now.   2.5K coins took about 31 hours to stake.

Its been over a month since last payment. Any idea when next payment will be?
   It's been 2 1/2 months for me.

Congrats dude thats not what i asked.

Maybe if you provided a little more info.  You got a payment a month ago.  I don't know if that's your first, second, or seventh.

In any case I got my first payment in the beginning  of Sept.  So using that information, and what payment your on, should give you some idea.  I don't know if FreeJack2k2 is on a special plan or not, but it was about 13 weeks for my first (only) payment. and it's been 10 weeks since then.

Btc arbs referred to the payment im talking about as "the second payment". I just wanted to know when the third one would be. I thought everyone knew this.

OK, So you got your second payment about a month after I got my first.  I'll post when I get another payment.  From that point you should anticipate something a month later.  But the way this market is, it could be +/- a month. Smiley    I'm expecting something anytime now.

No shot. The majority of us recieved 2nd payment a little over a month ago. There seems to be only a handful of people who didn't get it yet. It makes absolutely no sense to base btc arbs payment schedule off of when you receive your next payment.

So why are you asking?  The only one that could come close to giving you the answer your looking for is BTC-ARBs himself.  And he hasn't done that for anyone.
