782  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [40 TH/s] EMC: No Fee DGM. Anonymous PPS. Dwolla Payout. on: September 14, 2013, 04:28:16 AM
I must have messed it but whats the Fee for PPS mining?

Thanks, also where you able to fix the web page yet, been running a plugin for fire fox that auto refreshes for me now Tongue

783  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [295'000 GH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees, Stratum, MergedMining, Private Servers on: September 12, 2013, 02:18:38 AM
Blah, for me i like pps simple reason now that i got this auto refreshing thingy working i enjoy seeing my btc going up after refreshing the screen, that darn pplns takes 4ever to move Sad
Also its not my fall over server its now become my btc making vs eclipse is my $$ server and i set it too to pps as well that DGM takes even longer then pplns to pay out on a small server.

784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: All Bitcoind / Bitcoin-qt nodes failing to come up. Workaround inside! on: September 09, 2013, 04:35:08 PM
Yep that got it back up, Thanks Maxwell!
785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin Qt wont load after last sync on: September 09, 2013, 04:30:00 AM
So rebooted my pc that's been running perfect for the past month, after updating to 0.8.4 and reload qt few days ago everything seemed fine. Till today shut down pc and let it reboot when qt started to load and verify blockchain it pops up with a error:

Corrupted block database detected.
Do you want to rebuild the block database now?

Ok/Abort.

Thing is i kept an old 34 hour old copy of the database folder i can copy it over and qt runs fine and it starts to sync and if i don't stop and restart qt it runs just fine. Until i close the app and try to restart it.

Anyone else having this problem?

Running Win7 64 bit and 32bit version of bitcoin qt 0.8.4

Thanks in advance.

PS when i was testing where the problem was i was able to close and restart the qt as it was syncing all the way up to 6 hours out after it past 6 hours and i closed and restarted qt  i got the corruption error.

Nothing too big but when left on the account page of the web site the miners hash rate just disappears, and Error shows up, have to hit the refresh button to update the page and problem is gone, till page auto  updates.

787  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [200'000 GH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees, Stratum, MergedMining, Private Servers on: September 02, 2013, 06:23:33 PM
Or.. do what i am planning on doing, save 1/2 of my btc and spend the other half on hardware to earn me some USD. In short 1/2 of my mining power goes toward the future of BTC and the other 1/2 goes to cold hard cash.

Thinking its a win/win.

Yea all mine are usb eruptors, that might be the cause.. just guessing at this point, went back to 3.1.4 for now. everything seems to be back to 100% Smiley

Not sure if it something i have done (no swap file ) or new version of BFG miner but i have had over 5 crashes since upgrading to 3.2.0. Before i upgraded 3.1.4 ran stable no crashes for 6 days straight. Now all my miners lights come up and when i remote to computer the dos box is closed.. nothing.

Anyone else have problems with 3.2.0?
790  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: PPS VS PPLNS BTCGUILD on: August 28, 2013, 01:28:25 PM
Oh FYI BTC Guild still charges a % for mining PPLNS its just not as high as PPS shares.

Has on website 3% for PPLNS and 7.5% for PPS shares

just an FYI at the time of this posting your trade price is under  $~10 vs what Mx Gox has it at.

EMC :  Last Trade: $93.37    Daily Avg: $90.0000 USD

MT. Gox: Last price:$102.60000  High:$103.89999 Low:$101.93500

Just an FYI

793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Realistically, how safe is a dedicated HD or SSD as cold storage? on: August 09, 2013, 07:40:31 PM
Regardless a SSD is NOT safe for any sort of cold storage. They go bad more frequently then HDD's and with no notice (you don't get clicking noises first for example as a warning- enough time to copy off your keys?) and there is no way (that I know of) to get salvage data from a dead SSD. At least with a dead HDD you can pay a few thousand dollars to special facility to take it apart in a clean room and recover data bit by bit.

Do not rely on SSD's for data storage.

1 word "Spinrite..."

https://www.grc.com/sr/spinrite.htm

Simply put nothing comes nowhere near what this puppy can do, and yes it can recover data off SSD's too Smiley

794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Realistically, how safe is a dedicated HD or SSD as cold storage? on: August 08, 2013, 07:48:53 PM
blah cheap and secure method..

1.) truecrypt with a long pass phrase.   http://www.truecrypt.org/
2.) cheap usb stick create a secure container and drop the wallet.dat file in there and keep in a secure place in your house offline.
3.) create a gmail account with 2 factor id and upload the secure container file to the cloud (in case something happens to the usb stick) .
4.) be happy Smiley

when you need to transfer coins download or use the usb stick unencrypte the container and copy /paste the wallet.dat into bitcoin.qt (or what ever you use) do the transaction and then delete the wallet.dat when done.

Ok looking for  an option to rescan my usb miners to start the miners that didn't start when i loaded bfgminer.. Kinda like a plug n mine option. and yes already looked over the readme file Smiley

Anyone know??

PS

Is there a program out there i can monitor my BTC balance without the need of my wallet.dat ? A nice gui program would work Smiley

lol so was i .. when i was adding mine i saw the total hash rate going up but not all the miners, but thankful Luke_Jr told me about the up/down keys.

ya i had the same problem when i  was only mining with 4, till i added the other 28, seems you can use the arrow keys up and down to scroll the miners list, also the important info stays up top hash rate/error rate /%/etc..

Hope this helps..

Thought i would throw my 2 cents in here, just upgraded to 3.1.4 and running 32 usb miners and everything running fine, except the last miner is showing up twice ICA31 2x, and seems to be mining, so did i just get my 33th usb miner 4free? Tongue
Maybe! I don't know what would cause this kind of thing :/
-G -S all --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100
You get some more functionality by using -G -S erupter:all

Well i tried that, screen looks bit different, but still got now 2 BES31's a going Smiley  any idea what that extra command did? think i would get any higher hash rate? BTW love this program.. Keep up the good work.

running

-G -S erupter:all
