781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Article Says that Whales Cannot Tank the Market on: October 10, 2018, 07:57:06 PM
"The bottom line? The role of whales in the Bitcoin market may be overstated. The top 32 whales control around 6% of the supply, but that figure drops to 4.6% when lost Bitcoins are taken into account."

http://fortune.com/2018/10/10/can-the-whales-of-bitcoin-tank-the-market/

For me I don't think Whales alone are the one influencing the price, for me the prime suspect are the exchanges, alot of them gamble with investors money in the last bull run and are looking for ways to get their money back, another another school of thought says the institutional investors want to get into the market but at a fair price not 20K so they need to crash the market since they have the money
Either both sides you can really say such possible things that do happen behind because seeing the market on this situation will really lead into those plausible scenarios and as you said, whales arent the only ones
who do really have the capability on influencing the price of the entire market but somehow they do have the position on such possible event but basing on those percentages it wont really be that enough but still can give out some significant impact.
782  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I fail in trading on: October 10, 2018, 07:30:13 PM
I’m a newbie in trading. I want to improve my trading skills. I have heard some experienced trader said that I should learn and read more before start, and also get some experience. Trading requires a lot of patience and hard work, learn about the way to analyze the price chart, when they can be able to analyze price chart they will know the best time to buy and sell and know which one is the best coin to trade…
I tried one but I falied. There is something I don’t know? Please tell me more.

Just sustain and proceed on trading because this stuff cant really be learn overtime. You have just mentioned about patience but now you are hurrying up yourself on learning it. Even experienced or good traders do really lose out money or trades yet this thing is really inevitable but due to experience and skills they can able to sustain somehow on making profits inspite of loss and this should how a trader things.
Not only a single fail will really need to stop you on doing trading because these are things will mold you to a better one.
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's are you expectations about cryptocurrency at 2020 on: October 09, 2018, 10:36:33 PM
Well so far cryptocurrency has done amazingly it's has revolutionalize the way transactions are done. And it has cut a lot of lapses that banking system has. Bitcoin been the king of cryptocurrency with it hit market cap and volume is the most wanted coin right now well prediction can be deceiving but what are your expectations about cryptocurrency
My expectations for the year of 2020 are relatively simple, I really think that by that time the market will still be in a similar condition to the one that we are seeing right now, and after the halving we are going to begin to see a slow recovery that is going to get stronger by the end of that year and by the year of 2021 we are going to see a new bull market.
Slow or gradual pace of price increase would be much prefer than on seeing price shoots out in a short period of time. By that year i do see that only strong projects or potential ones will really stay and shitcoins or useless coins will surely die gradually. We dont even need thousands of coins in the market with having similar usage or features. Only a few with corresponding role or benefit would be sufficient enough.
784  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cryptocurrency and regulation, do we need it? on: October 09, 2018, 09:40:56 PM
I agree with the author that there are two sides of regulation and there will always be those who embrace it and want to run a legal business and pay taxes. I'm more on the purists' side and believe that we don't need it and shouldn't fit BTC into the current system, just like Andreas said. We should leave it as an alternative to those who don't want to be watched and controlled by the big brother.
People would always have different insights some would prefer due to convenience where crypto is already being adopted but the negative side where its decentralization wont really already suited it out.
Its just really good as an alternative but some people do much prefer to be legalized but off of these things are actually contrary on cryptocurrencies true purpose.
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounty participant really the cause of dumping coins? on: October 09, 2018, 09:20:26 PM
For my little exposure to some ICO's has made me notice from many investors apportioning most blame on bounty participant as the main cause of dumping coin on market far less than ICO prices. Some claim since they really dash them the coin for free they really do not care about the market but rather dump them and go their way leaving the fate of genuine investors and managers at the mercy of this dumped coins. But i  truly believe that bounty participant really engage their time and earn these coins of which some really don't dump just like that. What is the actual cause of dumping of most ICO coins, is it a matter of bounty participant, investors or on the part ICO managers concept of plan for these coins?

It has some effect however, we all know that only a portion of the total supply is distributed for the bounty, and not all bounty hunters dump their tokens right away. I think it's most investors fault. Some investors want quick profit, as soon as a coin hits an exchange some investors sell what they have bought since they had a big discount for buying early stage in the ICO.
Bounty hunters is always on the blame when they do saw price dump when tokens do hit up exchangers without even considering that investors are the ones who do make such big impact on price movements of a certain coin. Cashing out to secure profits and this is the main motive on why we would really invest to ICO. Knowing that bounty allocation is just 1-2% on the entire supply and i cant think on how they would really make affect and to be blamed of?
786  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin leverage Trading on: October 09, 2018, 08:49:56 PM
Leverage trading is like having someone to give you a loan, that you could use for gambling.
I'm not saying that it's bad. It's a tool that can be used only by the experienced traders.
x500 leverage is insane. The crypto trading platform that offers such leverage would look kinda suspicious to me.
Even using up Bitmex is already suspicious. How more on this one having a 500x leverage? This is already not considered to be conservative and it do somehow acts as a gamble. Slightest movements opposing on
what you have set will surely blown your account in no time.If you do have the balls to burn of your money then these multiplier would be the best one.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Very Unpredictable on: October 09, 2018, 08:12:21 PM
LOL. At first I think listing type doesn't affect to quality of any cryptocurrency and project behind it Smiley. You should know that a good cryptocurrency also can be listed on any exchange by voting if they don't wanna pay so much money to exchange and they can wait Smiley. It's not matter if a coin listed on exchange by voting or paying. Dont' care too much about it.
Paying for listing or do won on list voting wont really matter at all and as you said this wont really signify if the coin would be good. On my part, i would definitely consider to invest
on a coin which is being listed due to high votes why? because you would able to see the support of the community and you can somehow anticipated that theres really an interest.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Story time - your ICO success stories and biggest fails on: October 09, 2018, 07:15:22 PM
Success stories is when ETH is just starting up and sees the potential with smart-contracts it do really sparks my interest and i bought ETH when it was still on $1 per token and now look at on its price where im still on big profits inspite on this bearish market how much more if i do sold up on $1k price then that would be 1000x on my investment.Im still hodling though and talking about big loss then
it was the time i did make investment with Adex exchange ICO, i thought it would be a good one but i do lost up some big amounts of BTC on that project.
789  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tomorrow is now. on: October 08, 2018, 08:31:54 PM
First you were skeptical about bitcoin, doubted its sustainability, then you watched bitcoin skyrocketed and it's a bit low in price for while now, presently mass adoption is growing like for real with features like bitrefil.com, that buys data, airtime via bitcoin, exchanges are changing bitcoin for fiat..Why not hop in? Sooner than you think it's becoming a legit store of value.

Tell them to hop in...

Its a bad advise if you are going to tell people to hop in just because of mass adoption or store of value thingy. You just have to open their eyes about crypto or bitcoin itself and let them realised the full potential. Remember there is risk involved in joining crypto and other might not think this is one advantage. So let them learn it by themselves but don't directly tell them to hop in.
usually, those who understand the full potentials will always understand that one way or the other mass adoption is inevitable, but I totally understand what you are driving at when it comes to letting people understanding the actual reason why they should be investing and it is the potential in the long run when it comes to usage as a currency as well as the disruption it brings and how things can obviously change a lot when it comes to people adopting it hugely will help anyone to get their minds focused on the long term and not the short term.
Adoption is an inevitable thing the process would only just depend on how it would be introduced or would be known by people who don't have much idea for this thing to exist. For previous investors or people do have knowledge investing wont really be easily to be said specially when you do experience loss of money due to volatility. Most people do see crypto for profit making not totally on its revolutionary innovation.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: found an ICO need advice on: October 08, 2018, 07:07:40 PM
Tips you can find only in your head, you can certainly turn to a professional in their field, but what you can do only you and no one else, so strive for more to achieve their goals.
Being a professional investor is just by being smart.
A lot of people really find it hard to understand that a project without a team, cloned WP, no MVP and just some ideas that has been revolving in the past is a no go area. This is a digital age and I expect that everyone should be smart as there are so many things they can use to enlighten themselves on what to do and what not to do.

Scammers are out there, and the only way you can know which project is a scam is to identify and dig up the team, check the product and the real life usage possibilities and see if the idea is something worth putting money into. If all these cannot be answered, talk to your feet.
Not only by just on being smart but also an investor which do really need to be sensible and using up his own common sense.Setting out our own indication on how we gonna invest
into a project then it would always need a justification. The thing here is that most investors are lazy enough not to do those basic stuff or research when they plan to invest
in result they lose money.
791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More people More volatility on: October 08, 2018, 05:30:43 PM

If there are so many people using it on a daily basis, won't the volatility cause huge fluctuations in it's price ?

These are one of the things would really be experienced once bitcoin is being adopted on a point that the entire population is using it. Volatility is there due to daily transactions and I cant think of
that 21M would be sufficient to circulate if we do base up the number of users will really be in full extent. Some or most people do like adoption but they didn't able to foreseen on how it would work
if we do come into that point.
792  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Decentralized Exchange out there? on: October 08, 2018, 02:28:42 PM
What's the best decentralized exchange in existence today? Is it Bitshares, CryptoBridge, or another DEX? I'm wondering about this since I want to trade in a DEX with the most liquidity and performance to exchange various cryptocurrencies. Last time, I've used EtherDelta DEX for exchanging some ERC-20 tokens back into Ethereum, but it was quite slow and unresponsive. This shows that DEXs are still in their very beginnings, as they can't scale to thousands of orders per second.

Nonetheless, which decentralized exchange do you think it's best? I would like to know your thoughts about this. Smiley
I do not trust decentralized exchanges. Where do they even make the money? Why do they even exists? I mean if a company tells me that its free I know that usually I am the product in that case. Nothing is free in this world and anytime I see the word free I am afraid.

If the word "decentralized" used properly that means there should be no trading fee since there is no centralized trading platform that requires money, if there are no fee's how the hell do they make their money. I do not trust any of them and specially not the ones that requires to be a chrome extension and be open constantly.

Seems like you haven't used decentralized exchange once? You can see out some fees associated with making orders 0.1%-0.2% and that's how they do make money.
When we do talk decentralized it doesn't mean no one would able to make a site, there would be no such thing decentralized comes to trade without specific kyc procedures but we do know the
disadvatange over centralized.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTG Speculation on: October 08, 2018, 01:06:51 PM
I once heard the predictor say that at the end of 2019 the price of BTG would be $ 1107. The estimated price of Bitcoin Gold is that by the end of 2020 it will be $ 10799.7 per BTG. And this shows that BTG is a good investment tool. What is your opinion about BTG for 2018?
Before you would presume those prices why wont consider or do look at on ETH or Bcash first before on BTG? We have seen that coins mentioned didn't able to hit up those ranges easily. How much more on an another BTC forked coin? It would need to surpass Bcash first before considering to be optimistic too much into its price.
794  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC halving and miner sell price on: October 07, 2018, 05:02:12 AM
Everyone started to open topics about how the miners halving in 2020 would cause the price go up but you are forgetting one eternal truth about this. Everyone knows this, EVERYONE knows that bitcoin halving will happen in 2020.

Which means yes as a long term investment it would be fine, if you buy right now and wait for 2+ years I am sure you will have a lot of profits when that happen and if you wait couple months after the halving than I am sure price will settle at a high price even above $10-15k levels which means you would at least double your money in 2 years, that is good ROI. However no one thinks that it would be a 100% thing, it is still dangerous because of Chinese free mining farmers.
Just really a basic thing if the demand would still retain on Bitcoin market then halving event would happen then we can really presume high chances of price increase would be there but same as you said theres no certain thing or assurance. Long term holds is quite more realistic or worthy yet only a few years an we would head up on that event.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Instructions are Extremely Important on: October 06, 2018, 11:41:01 PM
Yeah, you're right, before we promote any project, we need to learn that project well. Read all of the instructions and the rules are also important, how can we promote the project if we don't even know the instructions or rules of the bounty program. Good luck for us.

Aside from that, bounty owners/managers should also respect whatever rules they stated upon opening such campaign.
If they say, they will send the tokens or coins after ICO, they should send those tokens earned by bounty hunters in a timely manner, not in a very delayed schedule.
Usually with so much delays, once the tokens are received by those hunters, the price already dropped significantly and the tokens lost more than half its value.
Yes that really happens most of the time.So i just end up holding my tokens for such a long time until i see good exchanger that will offer a good price.I know we should follow all the instructions so we can get rewards in the end,but the team behind the project should be responsible too in updating the spreadsheet in a timely manner.
Managers is always to be blamed but the on general the team behind should really take the responsibility yet not managers are the ones who do hold of the bounty tokens.
Its always be on the team and manager cant do anything if they wont really be released for the distribution for marketing allocation. Instructions is always been important not just
into this market alone but on every work we have to be done. There would be always an instruction.
796  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: STOPLOSS? what are Advantages and disadvantages of stoploss? on: October 06, 2018, 10:46:27 PM
Putting up stoploss would only depend if you are really conservative on risk management but using that kind of thing here on crypto wont really be much effective yet 10% volatility wont really be that hard which means single price pump or swing would just trigger your stop loss and what would you do next? Chasing up another entry order and trying to break even. If you do make trade openly you would still have the chance for recovery but still risky yet we wont know on how deep would be the negative would go.

If the guy's a short-term trader like the majority of people that seem to be active here, then stoploss is the only way for them to reliably manage their performance on a day to day. It'd be crazy not to act conservative if you trade daily, no stop loss means potentially just holding more and more of your balance in orders, stuck with them and unable to take advantage of new opportunities when they present themselves.

Long term holders, or trades meant to last months, or even weeks, sure. But one or two bad swings and you're just stuck waiting for the tide to turn, unable to do anything else.
As a day trader and basing on my experience we should really need to act conservatively yet we know the field we are playing to. Active trades with every second price changes and stop loss will really be needed.
It do really depends on how a certain trader will do the trade either short or long-term ones.It is true that once you have set out no stoploss then chances on leaving you hanging is there.
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why its still worth mining ETH ( or other coins) for me on: October 06, 2018, 10:19:21 PM
However, as the concept of adding new rigs, at this point I just prefer to buy coins
A much wiser decisions to be made rather than buying miners as of todays. Profitability would only be suited out for those who already reach their roi. Electricity does still matter if you profit out to pay up the expense then i would simply stop mining.

Nice try Vitalik .....

No, he wont post up on a Bitcoin Forum. haha
798  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What exactly is Escrow, how do I use it and what are the risks/drawbacks? on: October 06, 2018, 09:57:01 PM
If there's anyone here on this forum who did some deals via Escrow and could shed some light on that topic I would be very thankful.
"Escrow" means the middle-man of your transaction which means he would be the one to held up with the funds until the product or item is already being sent out to the buyer
and that time the cash being held by escrow would be released to the seller itself and thats how the system works. Since you are delivering the item (seller) then there would always
be a policy on pay first before sending because on that kind of arrangement it would be too hard if the receiver wont tell that he recieved the item and tell the escrow to refund the funds.
There would be a tendency like that and it would be much hassle to make verification on carrier on where that package goes. Better to have payment first policy or COD (cash on delivery) method.
799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The article is for bounty participants on: October 06, 2018, 09:33:54 PM
After a while participating in the bonus campaign, I discovered that some bad guys have used my information to sign up for the bonus. I feel very upset with those people, Why do they take action?. I consider it the act of theft.  I advice, When you participate in bounty campaigns, be sure to update your spreadsheet regularly. In order to talk to the managers about this issue if you encounter.
This is the thief: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=24427
Be careful with this person
My data is also somehow used to register with the company. And several times in one. I wrote about this to the manager. He deleted fake entries.
This is actually the only way on how to get rid of these bad guys on stealing someones works for the benefits on getting paid for the work that they havent done by themselves.
Its not a new thing here on crypto market specially on bounty hunting where there are really people who do like to take advantage as long they havent being caught they would continue
to do things like that and since managers cant perfectly detect these cheaters so the best way is to check out and report them so that they would be removed.
800  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it safe to store Bitcoin in such a company? on: October 06, 2018, 09:05:31 PM
Is it safe to store Bitcoin in such a company?

Led by Alex Mashinsky, crypto lending startup Celsius says it's paying thousands of users interest for depositing bitcoin and ether in its wallet app……

https://www.trackcoinmarket.com/en/crypto-news/31795/voip-pioneer-startup-paying-users-interest-millions-crypto
Not totally safe unless if you do put up your funds on a storage which you dont have the possesion of your private keys.Anything or 3rd party storages would act similar like exchangers or wallets that dont give out users keys which tendency of being or getting hacked or stolen funds is high. No matter how popular the owner or company would be you cant really remove the fact that anytime sooner they can ran of with users funds.
