781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feathercoin - The Miner Update - Hard Fork Block 87948 on: October 01, 2013, 05:14:30 AM
After updating, two blocks Multipool found were rejected with the following error:

ThreadRPCServer method=submitblock
ERROR: AcceptBlock() : rejected by synchronized checkpoint
ERROR: ProcessBlock() : AcceptBlock FAILED

What is the fix for this?
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switch][1.5%fee] multipool.us:Always mine the most profitable coin on: October 01, 2013, 01:22:43 AM
FTC pool is down until a problem with block submission can be fixed.

flound, I have been watching something that doesn't make sense. My account shows 7.7702 unconfirmed CGB. My hash rate says I am earning about 1.216 CGB per hour, so that would be about 6 1/2 hours for that much. Why is it showing so much unconfirmed?

We got a lot of orphans yesterday, some of them were probably scored before being orphaned so they're sitting in unconfirmed.  I will remove them.
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switch][1.5%fee] multipool.us:Always mine the most profitable coin on: September 30, 2013, 05:01:58 PM
I have question.
I mine 24/7 in statistic everything is ok, Est. Coins/Day ~12FTC, Auto Threshold payment set on 10, but my last Withdrawals Sep 27 8:45 AM and there is no more FTC on my acconut.
I work for nothing for 3 days?

What's your username?
Same as on forum: "endrju1"

And you mined only on FTC?

Your FTC balance is 8.531436, not zero.

Also, your FTC hashrate is showing as zero from 2013-09-29 23:13:12 to 2013-09-30 06:58:07 GMT.  You must have been mining somewhere else at that time, or mining a different coin.
I know, balance 7,9 is shown from 27 evening to 29 evening and almost did not move.
29 evening i shut down mining because there is no new ftc on my account.
from 27 Sep to 29 Sep 23:00 statistic is normal but last payout is in Sep 27 8:45 AM
The account balance has not changed for at least 48 hours.
At this moment balance is still 8.531436.

Yes, most of the blocks we found yesterday were orphaned due to the hard fork at block 87948.

As far as your individual payouts, I see the following in the DB:

It looks like on 9-29 you may have had some miner issues as you did not submit many shares at all.
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switch][1.5%fee] multipool.us:Always mine the most profitable coin on: September 30, 2013, 04:58:03 PM
@Flound:  Is it just the pool hash rate graph itself at fault, and is everything else working fine?  If so then I'll start mining with your pool again in a little while, I don't care about the graph if the shares are still getting paid out.

What hashrate are you expecting to see?
Only about 650kH/s - 700kH/s so obviously I'm not expecting a lot, I was referring to the way that the graph for both me and the pool consist of spikes with gaps between them but as I said before if it's just the graph itself that's off then that doesn't matter to me.  I haven't been mining continuously either apart from the last 7 hours or so but the graph doesn't reflect the pattern of when I was mining solidly, but the pool itself has been and the pool's hashrate graph is similar.  However, it does seem to be counting what I'm doing which is what matters at the end of the day, and also whatever you did to the server now means that my machines have been getting work continuously without dropping out too so it's all good so far as I'm concerned.  The EU server is working properly too now.

The most important thing I see is that you're actively working to maintain and improve this pool properly, even on Sundays.  This is important to me because I'm intending to build a more powerful mining rig as soon as I can afford to, and the fact that you're busy looking after both the pool and us miners means this is a good pool to choose.

Well the spikes with gaps are normal since it shows your hashrate only when the multiport is on that particular coin.  If you click around to the different coins you should see hashrate on those as well depending on when we mined them.

By default, clicking on the "My Stats" page will take you to the stats for current coin being mined.

I did a git pull but it only updated version.h and version.cpp.

Anyway, Multipool is now running with the latest code and addnodes.

yeah how about those refunds, let's get this shit rolling

I don't get it. This exchange has a database, self developed. Obviously it's just one query to see what coins are stuck. If the intention is to pay back everybody, why isn't it automated? Why do you need to mail your return request when that information is already available?

Because not everyone will see this post and request refunds, then the dev gets to keep whatever is left.

Due to circumstances in my private life I have neglected support for Phenixex.
Because my situation isn't going to change. I can't maintain developing for Phenixcoin and Phenixex.

You mean, due to the fact that you've already milked the cash out of Phenix and that you can't be fucked to do any more work, you're abandoning PhenixEx?

lol

"Circumstance" = No more funds to take from the exchange  Cheesy

The only reason I never bought your physical Litecoins is the way you treat other users and coins on this forum.  Just sayin'.  Show some professionalism or get a troll account for that purpose.

I've always told people not to buy my coins unless they are sure they want to. This way they do not have to trust me. I've even disclosed my personal identity to give people an idea of where and who to look for should indeed a "scam" occur of me not delivering coins or funding coins that were paid for.

You not buying my coins is just fine by me.

 Grin

Let's stay on topic. So far funds from the exchange discussed in the OP have not been returned hence my comment. Concerning my coins, they are all funded (the ones that have arrived at their destination). Speaking of professionalism...  Roll Eyes

Has Iamatrix disclosed his personal identity?

Create another account for trolling? Well if I did that then I would be a two-faced individual. At least you get me at face value with one account. This one.  Smiley

Floud, FTC is apparently patching with a hardfork here in the next few days.. I'm sure you're already on this, but if not now you know.

I've got it compiled already, just waiting for a good time to take down the FTC pool for a couple minutes to install it.

Well, shit, it looks like the fork happened already.

I thought we had a couple more days at least.  A bunch of blocks were orphaned.. Sorry guys./

For me it seems that cgminer hangs on occuring difficulty changes of the pool like this (It just happened when I was checking the PC):

Code:
 [2013-09-30 00:30:49] Accepted 845b027c Diff 205/64 GPU 0 pool 0
[2013-09-30 00:30:56] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block
 [2013-09-30 00:30:57] Accepted 2b1cb18f Diff 194/64 GPU 0 pool 0
 [2013-09-30 00:31:00] Accepted b0b966b5 Diff 171/64 GPU 1 pool 0
 [2013-09-30 00:31:02] Accepted a1d27d5a Diff 8.59K/64 GPU 0 pool 0
[2013-09-30 00:31:03] Stratum from pool 0 detected new block
[2013-09-30 00:31:04] Stratum connection to pool 0 interrupted
[2013-09-30 00:31:04] Pool 0 stratum share submission failure
 [2013-09-30 00:31:05] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 512.000000
 [2013-09-30 00:31:05] Pool 0 difficulty changed to 64.000000

I use CGWatcher but it seems that most times CGWatcher is not able to restart cgminer in these special cases.

What version of cgminer?
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switch][1.5%fee] multipool.us:Always mine the most profitable coin on: September 29, 2013, 05:20:54 PM
I'm still having trouble with the US server sometimes losing its connection, or taking up to a couple of minutes to accept shares, resulting in all stale shares, the EU pool is unusable because it's behaving in the same way but worse.  I also assume that it's not my computers or internet connection causing it because my brother is having the same trouble.  The server stays connected but stops working properly, meaning that I have to disconnect and then reconnect, something that I can only do if I'm at the computer and notice it.

Have the same problem for 2-3 days now. cgminer crashes often using this pool. It ran for weeks without any problems before.
I'm still having the same problems, those things I just tried didn't work.  Between you, my brother and I that's three of us having problems so maybe it's nothing to do with my configs, I've not had this problem on any other pools and both machines have happily worked together with a proxy server each before.

I only joined this pool three days ago so I can't refer back to how it was before then

Edit:  The problem seems to be intermittent, one thing I did wonder about was the high popularity of this pool and the speed of the server which is hosting it or its internet connection, things which of course are beyond my control and which I have no information about.

There was an issue with one of the FTC pool servers that I have just corrected.  Let me know if your situation improves.  It's looking like I'm going to have to add a 4th US pool server to maintain N+1 redundancy as two servers are not able to fully handle the load when one goes down.

I'm also going to be adding an EU wallet server, to help improve the situation with the EU pool.
799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feathercoin - The Miner Update - Hard Fork Block 87948 on: September 29, 2013, 08:28:03 AM
Perhaps loyal miners would have been a better term.

In short, when the diff swings up 41% the hashrate drops to ~3Gh/s. The LOYAL miners, rather than hop to the next most profitable coin stick around and mine at a higher diff for 2+ days to bring the diff back down. Then when the diff does swing down by 41%, all the multipools and profiteers swing their miners back to FTC, the hashrate jumps to ~10Gh/s and so the good times (low diff) only lasts for 8 hours before swinging up again.

This update will stop the 41% bounce and limit it to 9%. There will be swings still of course but hopefully the effect will be reduced. Simples.

Of course, if you are not a loyal miner, you may not see the benefits, possibly the opposite but we're all about looking after the loyal guys in the community. Grin

That is all.

By profiteers you mean those guys who saved the coin from 51% attack back by switching to FTC when the diff dropped a couple months ago?

CAP pools are back online, but CAP will not be added back into the multiport for a few days.
