So I was briefly messing around with the Bitcointalk forums, and was looking at my profile. Jaywaka2713: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=85173I noticed there was a user number in the URL. So I changed it to 1 and found the admin account. Wasnt a big surprise. What was a surprise is that it only has 7 posts, and was only active for 4 days. It's local time is interesting though. I also couldn't pull up any of his posts. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1I tried using the user number "2" but no user came up. Probably because of some catalog system in HTML or SMF that I do not understand, or because the account was removed. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2However, when I used user number "3", Satoshi's account came up. His posts came up. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3That was interesting to me. I looked at his Local Time, and noticed it's 5 hours ahead of mine. Im in Illinois, meaning I live in the CST time zone. 5 hours ahead would be in Britain. I went back to the Admin account with user number "1", and guess what? Same time zone. Satoshi must have made both accounts, as they were made within 2 days of each other. Admin must have been a testing account, but with 7 posts? All of which couldn't be found? I kept raising the user number by 1, finding 22 other accounts, and only 7 of which were active this year. The rest of them had relatively low post counts. Too lazy to pull up their bitcoin addresses. I stopped once I got to user number "35", which was theymos. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=35I was wondering why theymos was the 25th (maybe 35, but there were plenty of blank numbers. Guessing that they are false) user on the forum, but is also the Admin. The third user with user number "4" sirius, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=4 is Staff. Shouldn't he be Admin? I checked theymos's time zone, and he also lives in the CST timezone alongside me, so he doesn't live in Britain. I don't know if it was confirmed or not, or even known if Satoshi potentially lived in Britain. I heard that there was British dialect in the comments of Bitcoin code and in his White Paper. Also the Genesis Block message. I also find it interesting that Theymos was the 25th member on the forum, yet is Admin, while sirius was the third member on the forum, is still active, and only has a staff position. I'd like to dig deeper into how exactly Theymos became the bitcointalk Admin. Your sleuth work could have been done much easier by just looking at the forum roster: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=mlist;sort=registered;start=0

Up in the mountains. Fishing Hunting: Deer, Rabbits, Moose, Ducks, etc Farming Less population Plenty of wood for housing & heat (firewood) Possibly mining (minerals....not crypto) Plenty of water in reservoirs & streams. Also least contaminated. Away from government rule and civil unrest And what role would bitcoin play in this scenario? None..... If the dollar collapses then the rest of society is bound to falter. I will be enjoying the mountains while the rest of the cities across the country are in turmoil. People will be scrambling for food, shelter & safety. Albeit this would be worst case scenario. Bitcoin isn't going to solve all of the worlds problems. if the dollar just declines, then right where I live today will be just fine.

Anyway, who cares about all your shitcoins. You "shitcoin devs" and whoever "mines and uses" those deserve each other.
Ditto!

A single GPU is not giving you 10MH while mining litecoins. You need to either add --scrypt to your .bat file or change poclbm to scrypt in your .conf file.
Maybe I missed it but I didn't see him state he was using only one gpu <5s>:10.76 <avg>:11.28Mh/s ST: 2 SS:0 NB:15 LW: 1119 GF:0 RF:0 GPU: 010.65M/11.30Mh/s ---------------------------------------------------------

Or another possible scenario:
Your wagered coins go into a large seperate pool. Then the system randomly awards the pot to a miner who wagered coins. The more "loto tickets" you buy, the better your odds for winning.
|
|
|
How about a new coin...call it Poker Chip Coin
You can mine the coin like normal, but you can also wager the chip back into the pot. Wagered chips give you less difficult future rounds (and higher odds of solving future blocks). But it would have to be a some mathematical odds for your wager. Almost like a lottery but with higher odds or greater possible returns. Is this doable?

i'm not making kh/s going down my men, not at all,i do 550kh/s EACH card with my XFX with is awesome for XFX. mine can't go higher without freezen and high temps(already is 82 85c with scrypt mining)
so i can go down and mantain same kh/s as with oveclock.
otherwise this post would be non sense dahhh
. I would think you have some other problem if you can only get 550khs as your top speed with a 7950. Tuned properly you should get 650 or more. (Although I realize not all cards/machines are created equal) That's why I was questioning your posts. My saphire 7950s run 80-82c at 650khs. Edit...just read your post above and sounds like you have tried everything. Must just be the luck of the draw on what cards/silicone you get!

Of course you can throttle down the memory and core (and voltage), but you loose hash power. If you could turn these down and maintain 650Khs (or more) that would be impressive. The reason people turn up the settings is to achieve maximum hashing power. I can easily get 550 with low settings like you are showing. Like you said you have to maintain a good ratio. It would be interesting however to see what wattage is being consumed with different low settings.

Since June 9th and 10th have gone already it is likely fake......but why would Mtgox reply on their twitter feed about the PDF but not call it an outright fake? Guess that's the way the corporate world works (keep us in the black)....lol
