7821  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 10, 2019, 12:05:52 AM
Plus it doesn't matter where its shipped from, its where its made that matters. So unless they are actually making the circuit boards and assembling the miners in Malaysia then surely they'd have to declare it as made in China.

hmm yea I did not think of that - let me fetch the email I had gotten from them.

here it is, for orders of 200 - 500 miners:

I am actually thinking of getting some of the T17s as they are just under 1200 - can get 3 of them for the price of a S17E.
7822  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 09, 2019, 08:05:20 PM
yes - it was Bitmain who told me they will ship from Malaysia to US for large orders. and it would be direct - no shipping to there and then from there to the US. I have 5 cent electric and still out of it. the tariffs are enough to keep me away.
7823  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 09, 2019, 04:51:20 PM
not sure, all I know is the guy told me that they can ship from Malaysia to avoid the tariff but that it has to be a pretty large order. no onesie twosie orders.
7824  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 09, 2019, 03:31:24 PM
with this gear I am looking at 4300 for 106 th. It arrives 60-70 days.  I just paid 2600 for 50 th the t3 50 it was costly. And will take 80 days if it comes by the 15 of sept.

thats right you share cost right? I am not that lucky, though you share profits too. I had to pay $330 tariffs on a 1400 machine, I cannot imagine what it would be on a $3k machine.

Also ordered 6 S17e's , 6 T17e's and 6 normal T17-38's. Will be waiting  Smiley

to mine with or to resell?
7825  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 09, 2019, 01:31:30 PM

nice! I am envious. I just cannot justify it with the tariff.
7826  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 09, 2019, 04:35:39 AM
edit: yes a group buy to order from Malaysia would be great but yes a headache to set up and then to have someone escrow as well - Wish I had the cash to buy 100 units up front - would use 10 of em and sell the rest - would be happy to sell at cost and make break even point if i could.
7827  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 09, 2019, 03:34:52 AM
what screws it all up is the tariff's though - Bitmain has told me that they can ship from Malaysia but the MOQ is way out of my price range.

I will be most likely hoping to get my hands on T15's from within the US where I dont need to run two damn lines to the PSU - another expense which forces me to either have half the miners or leaves me needing to install more outlets - with only 20 outlets currently I can handle 20 T15/S15 and only 10 T17/S17

If I can find the 15's at a decent enough price it will more than make up for the reduction in hash rate.

now someone please buy my 13 S9's for 3k a piece lol

With no tracking by dinner tomorrow I will ask for escrow to return the funds. So about 18 hours from now or less we will know how it ends - one way or the other.

Op was online today but sent no tracking
7829  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BITMAIN.COM Everything Discounted 25 % on: September 07, 2019, 11:14:05 PM
This was a huge gesture by OP! Hats off

I did not see a reply where the end user received the miner? Not enough time?

still in the air. last pm i got was 2 days ago that he was on the way to ship it. never got a tracking yet though. so at this point, glad I used escrow.
so even with escrow he is yet to send.

he said he was on the way to send it on Thursday:

just got off. on the way to send

I am willing to give him 2 more days. mainly because I would know way in advance of it arriving if he actually sent it or at least I should. I have accounts with fedex, ups and dhl where I get notifications via text of any package en route to or delivered to my address.

he was active today at noon.

edit: and if he doesnt send, I will thankfully get my btc back - well most of it, will still be out two transaction fees and the escrow fee - but I gladly pay those vs losing 100% of  what I paid which was .057343 btc of which I will get close to .054 back

7831  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: My T17 is no longer responding on: September 07, 2019, 03:34:12 AM
I did check the cables and their power being supplied - thanks to your help a few months back on how to set up my miners to be read with the killawatt meter - I did each leg and that was fine as well.

I will give it one more shot in the morning before I contact Bitmain for a warranty request.

Update: it fired up this morning and after almost 10 minutes it showed up in AM software and is hashing at 40.72 Th/s

So no need to send it in just yet - but I will be watching it.
7832  Bitcoin / Mining support / My T17 is no longer responding on: September 07, 2019, 03:17:59 AM
my T17 of just a few months stopped responding today around 130pm EST. I went to check on it when I got home, it had the fault light on.

First, I turned off the power, check the outlets, the ethernet cable, after about 5 minutes, I turned the power back on. Miner powered on but the "normal" light was not lit but neither was the "fault" and I could not log into it via the ip address.

Second, I tried a known working ethernet cable from one of my other miners that was visible on network. Did a restart of the miner, waited 10 minutes and nope could not see the miner on the network. So, I put the ethernet cables back to original placement.

Third, I did the reset process. waited about 10 minutes and tried to log into it via ip address - still nothing. So, just if for some odd reason it was given a new IP address, I rescanned my network and nope no new devices and no new ip addresses assigned.

Fourth, now checking to see if it is still under warranty. Got this message from Bitmain site "Equipment warranty period 109 days remaining."

So, I guess I am contacting them to send it back. Sucks to have that down time though.

7835  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 500 s9 Antminer for sale on: September 06, 2019, 03:39:01 AM

ahh that is an auction, will most likely go much higher. if it doesnt, the seller will most likely cancel the sale stating it did not meet reserve. I have had dozens of auctions cancelled because the seller didnt like the winning price - have had them email even asking for more on the side or to pay crypto on the side and they will charge me less - I never do though as I will most likely not get the item.

Well, In telegram, we discussed.
He has no free money and cant front the purchase.
And I cant send money/coin to a stranger and "hope" they're legit.

It's one heckuva deal, but not worth risking a $2k loss over.

agreed and that is why I went with an S9 SE - he said he could pre-purchase up to 1k and the S9's were only ones under that range. That way he could pre-purchase and I could provide funds to escrow - then both buyer and seller are protected.

Hope everything works out for you.
No disrespect towards the OP. I'd really like an S17 at that price, but with so many scams out there, I hope you understand I cant "trust" any stranger on the internet.

I've wired up my garage to run 3 S17's.  I got two last month in the $3200-3600 range. And also running an S9.   Just keeping my eyes peeled for that last unit.

nice, wish I had some S17's best unit I have is a T17 and a T15, the rest are scrypt miners and S9's

I'm interested in an S17... how do we arrange payment?    Escrow ?

Hi everyone. Today-tomorrow are the last days when I can both pay and pick up the goods for you

will you be providing a tracking number today?
7839  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 500 s9 Antminer for sale on: September 05, 2019, 12:15:41 PM
There are 500 s9 ant miners for sale that I have found. The price is around 20k usd including shipping. If interested please let me know. I will share details if you agree to a sourcing fee of 50 s9 antminers Smiley
You have "found" ? Cheesy
How did you "found" 500 miners ?
How did you calculate that price including shipping?
Why you are asking a sourcing fee ?
Where is your pictures for proof of ownership?
Where are they located?
Escrow?
Its not like there is many people looking to buy 500 miners at once, could you provide price per miner?
Are they coming with any PSU and warranty ?

Just to let you know, people will be interested by the same way you were interested to provide information for "your sale"...
Without future information you are wasting people time because seems like you don't mind wasting yours...

P.S: How come you were searching for used S9's few days ago here -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5179766
But now you are selling extra 500 ? Cheesy That seems so legit

agreed with 99% of the above - however, i thought it was 20k AND shipping so even more skeptical if the 20k includes the shipping as that would drop the price very very low.

as for him searching for S9's the other day - my guess is in his search he may have found a seller not on these forums who has a substantial qty of miners - instead of telling the seller of the forums (which hard to believe anyone with that many miners would not already know of the forums) he is trying to sell them - basically, buyer gives him 50 miners and he puts you in contact with the seller.
7840  Economy / Computer hardware / selling 3 BW - L21 Scrypt miners w/psu on: September 05, 2019, 05:49:39 AM
I am selling 3 BW - L21 scrypt miners

they run at around 550 Mh/s and just under 925 watts I paid $400 for all 3 shipped so willing to sell them for $300 shipped in the US (willing to ship outside US but that might raise the price)

nothing wrong with them, the only issue I had with the original seller was these were advertised to run at 825 watts but they truly run at 900 - 925 watts (1 miner ran at 950 but eventually went down to 925 when I lowered the freq)

the only reason I am selling them is to make room for more SHA-256 miners, I can only run 20 miners in my current set up.

the link I bought them from is here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5118332.0

HagssFINN of bitcointalk.org did a really nice review of these as well - that can be found here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2118409

the miners do have some bumps and scratches - one has a fan that has a broken corner, all of this is shown in the pictures - none of this affects their functionality - I have run them for several months with only taking them offline once to blow dust off the chips (I do this to all my ASIC's once a month)

my pictures are here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/tfd6glg1rypun8h/AAChO6enAzR_24e5cMrDpShIa?dl=0

I will take BTC, LTC, ETH, BCH or USD and escrow is encouraged.

any questions, just let me know.
