jahl your loss i have to see a coin that in the last 2 months started only with the name
and 1 person go to 3000 sat , even at current price LTCD
in the altcoin failing months is a pearl

thats just it, i bought because of the name, and i'm sure many others did aswel, but we cannot survive with only the name.
I do want to see this coin succeed and am very curious to see the gen 2 features.
But untill we'll see a glimps of them actually beign released, i'm careful
Lets forget about 2nd gen for now. We need everyone's help including yours to find out how to implement POS and other features asap

on the supernet or blocknet issue, a coins needs to have something unique to offer before it is considered to be included in the project i'm afraid.

not quite right LTCD was taken in consideration by Jl777
and is not a necessity even with unique caratteristics
a coin can be added to supernet
not at the BTCD place or near but in SUPERNET

Would you please be able to ask him\find out if it's true and what would our community need to do to receive this opportunity?
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LTCD] LitecoinDark.com ★ Scrypt ★ Difficulty Shield ★ Multipool ★ Fast on: November 18, 2014, 04:28:25 PM
Just a suggestion... If we apply for SuperNet won't that give us access to some more devs as it's basically a community thing right?  Maybe if we start to work with the Bitcoindark team and pool some resources that might be a good thing for both coins and communities!! Just saying we have options to explore if we lose Troll but I am not sure we have just yet... If he has some troubles on the home front he might just be unavailable for the time being... Understandable in those circumstances!!

Besides If he had to bow out I am sure he would do so in a classy fashion and make an announcement post about it... But my gut tells me he is still in he just needs time!! We shall see soon enough!!

Cheers,

Ghosty

I understand what you mean but but completely ignoring contact and abandoning community is vey inconsiderate thing to do.
We all have problems. I have serious problems with my family and my own health myself.

Not finding time to write at least on single message for community to explain the situation, in such circumstances is very badly inconsiderate

We just have to get together now and look out for options. Would you be able to contact people who would be willing to help us with SuperNet or make some connections with BitcoinDark community? We all would be very grateful

I'm requesting server details from the dev tonight for our FTP for the website. Since recent news has comeup i'm thinking the launch, though not finished would be better for us. I'm also starting to learn Java coding for Android and will be toying around with building an android app for us.

The android app is a whim and will be my learning enviroment so take note of that.

I'll keep you updated.

If all doesn't go well I will have to do beta access to gain feedback on the website. I will be hosting it on my own computer so I am thinking a small under 5 user beta. Email me at Aleckloss at gmail if you want to get in on it.

On the note of Troll,

I fully believe that we have to give him the benefit of the doubt when it comes to this. If a dev hasn't been active for over a month then there is cause to worry. Heck I take weeks off to to school and work. I can't even imagine having family issues since I am so young. Family always comes first and I'm sure he will give us an update soon here.

It seems that you have actually taken over and unwillingly become one of our devs :-)
I'm very glad that we have you on board :-)
To be honest, I'm willing to vote for you to become one of our main devs.

About Troll, liek I mentioned before we all have problems so community deserves at least one message. We are people here too, not just forum nicknames...

Also, we need help from community to find some dev who would help us introducing TOR or Darksend

Ok, what we have to do now is to implement features from Roadmap asap.

We are waiting for these features to be implemented this week:

- Encrypted Messaging
- Stealth addresses
- Mac Wallet

Also aleckloss will introduce new, nice looking website this week.

From next week we must focus on implementing POS so could have it by the end of November.
As I mentioned, I am happy to contribute to your pre-mine spending on payment to new dev.

Once we get POS then we need to introduce DarkSend by the end of December.

Lets leave 2nd generation for now.

We MUST have POS by the end of this month

Please, give us details/contact of new dev or ask him to introduce himself here.

Then we can figure out with him how much it would cost community to have him(her) implementing POS

Dear Community,

I think everybody knows how much time we put into this project and I really wanna see this project take off. However we are dependent of code developers.

Development
Like you all know we are busy to hire other developers. This has some reasons what I will explain more futher in this annoucement. Right know a other dev than TrollbyFire is busy with Encrypted messaging and Stealth wallet addresses. However this dev is running into some issues regarding the code. Normally it was already done but I will keep push him since I already have paid. If the community know good developers tell me!

TrollbyFire
I think TrollbyFire has the skills to make a 2nd gen I serious don’t doubt about this. However he promised me and Xircom 4 weeks ago the whitepaper regarding the 2gen. Till today I didn’t recieve anything and he didn’t response on emails or messages from our side. I think is more than fair to tell the community this. The question if Troll is still on board or when he bring to 2gen? I really don’t know. What I know is that Troll have some problems regarding his family and we can only hope he can fix this.

Premine
I see there is a lott of questions about the premine. My goal is to keep LitecoinDark going. To achieve this I need btc to hire developers. I sold 80% of the coins for btc and have left 20% for the website and video bounty. Also from perspective with negotiations with other devs about prices don’t help with such premine. I hope everybody understands this. I will keep doing my work regarding LitecoinDark and keep supporting this project since I have good intesions.

I hope I have provide the community enough information and hope that the community still keep supporting LitecoinDark.

Regards,

LitecoinDark Dev

Have you got access to all the 2nd gen code which Troll has written?
If so, would new dev be able to finish it?
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LTCD] LitecoinDark.com ★ Scrypt ★ Difficulty Shield ★ Multipool ★ Fast on: November 18, 2014, 02:47:14 AM
I see!?

There was + 500k LTCD transfered from Pre-mine address yesterday:
http://explorer.litecoindark.com/address/Ld9RUxoDZcrr54kx8rz2fxb55QxYtC7WcX

200k to some address which isn't on the richlist (quite some possibly exchange address)

http://explorer.litecoindark.com/address/Ld8oYEx31UToMbKRPeJPZNtPq69Uz7df4F

and

300k transfered to one of the big hoarder addresses

http://explorer.litecoindark.com/address/LQRzko5XJB1c9kf4hAAgrHdNp3hEAGFgsa

Could devs, please explain why community wasn't informed about this? Why there is no transparency?
It's a second time within 3 weeks that LTCD pre-mine wallet had changes, without making it exactly transparent to community about where/to who LTCD was transfered.

I can understand one mistake but not when it happens over again.

It looks peculiar, considering your recent news about Troll By Fire being sick and new developer being hired.
Has Troll By Fire given up development?

What about 2nd generation now?
If Troll has not given up, when 2nd generation is going to be finished, please?
Also, who is the new developer?

I'm sorry but considering all these recent events, even me, big supporter of LTCD has started questioning what's been happening...

- LTCD disappears from pre-mine address with no information.

- There is no proper website. The one we have now is amateur and embarrassing.
If we are going to get proper one now, that's because some community member offered help, not devs.

- All features like POS, TOR etc, have been postponed under (logical of course) argument that 2nd generation would need to be finished first, but no final date of release of 2nd generation has been given.

- The interview has been cancelled.

Bascially, there is little progress, despite some wallet updates, some change to block reward and releasing different wallet versions.
(actually Windows, Mac, Linux wallets should had been ready when the coin was released - that's what most of other cryptocoins usually had upon release)

It seems like atm, all community is living on hopes about 2nd generation and all they have got are promises...

I'm not in particular satisfied about all these so I'm going to rest from this community now and hold up my activity. I will carefully see where it all goes to within next few weeks...

I've been busting my butt this weekend on the site template. Its looking very good. The main problem that I am running in to would be what the threshold for too much info on the site. We want to be succinct but not overly crazy with needless bloating sentences just to fill space. I absolutely look forward to seeing what you all think about it.

I agree for it being succinct and simple. Something simple like BitShares or Bitcoindark websites.

Thanks again for everything. I see that you must have been working really hard.
Thanks for spending your precious weekend on this

Dear Community,

Unfortunately TrollbyFire is sick and was not able to do the interview. Soon he gets well again he wil do the interview. We have also some good news about upcoming new features. We have hired a developer to do some work for LitecoinDark. This week there will be a wallet update with:

- Encrypted Messaging
- Stealth addresses
- Mac Wallet

Ofcourse after the new wallet is delivered we must do some testing. Keep up the spirit!

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope he recovers quickly.

Thanks for some update.

this is the spirit , thanks dev  Shocked

best of the luck to troll to be healthy
in no time

Quote

He has done some work recently, for example he made really cool video few days ago

Yea.. And im not complaining about it.. Im just saying that adding an extra PR member would not hurt.

I have done some work, on some forums trying to get some people into LTCD, and it worked..
And I would do anything to get this coin going. (We are.. But we need more help Tongue)

So if you want one more PR member, then I am ready to work. But only if you want to hire me ofc Tongue

You are welcome to promote the coin for free like we all do
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LTCD] LitecoinDark.com ★ Scrypt ★ Difficulty Shield ★ Multipool ★ Fast on: November 15, 2014, 08:33:49 PM
Where is the PR guy, why isnt he here announcing and pushing the interview. I think its good for the price if the forum stays active. All week been no activity in the forum, now look at the price. Really I feel we need more then one person doing the PR work. How does others feel about this.
It's unlikely that such thing as amount of posts in the thread would influence the price. Lack of updates or progress in development certainly would

I dont want to sound like an ass, and I have nothing against Xircom at all.. He has helped me a lot.. And he is Danish.. Tongue

But.. I dont see any PR work. Yes, an announcement here and there..
But what about spreading the word?

Yes, we need 1 or 2 more PR workers.
(I think 1)

Ofc its not easy..

He has done some work recently, for example he made really cool video few days ago

price jump ?
you know why
bot upped over 0,03 btc buy ...

Could you please stop flooding the thread with quotes with no commentary.

Also, could you please summarize whatever you want to type in one reply not multiple, one after the other. Is it a first time ever that you are using the forum? It's not your private chatroom.
If you want to add something then please use the so called "edit" option.

Thanks

And in the list of scammer also Alpha Technology  from england

Them too. I removed my order from them in January, before shit hit the fan. Muppets still took 40% of payment from the refund

Its still interesting news.
Im pretty sure that very soon only 2 companies would be able to supply miners for us crazy people.

MAT and Hashra and then 1 we have to follow (Ehsminer Germany)

The rest is going the cloud way or shutting down. Bitmain is only going to supply 2 shipments of the new L1 Scrypt miner and then focus on BTC only.
If I would trust anybody my hard earned money, then it would have to be a EU company, so my invest money are protected by EU law even for pre-orders.

Well, I ordered stuff from BitMine (Switzerland) and they failed to deliver, although they refunded me the money after a long struggle.
KNC is from Sweden and they well exploited their customers too...
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LTCD] LitecoinDark.com ★ Scrypt ★ Bittrex ★ Cryptsy ★ 2nd Gen Crypto on: November 13, 2014, 06:51:10 PM
There may be many reasons for price fluctuation. It's all speculation. You can't be ever sure. I learnt from experience that there are many factors for well established coins like bitcoins but for fledgling coins like LTCD the factors are usually popularity, competition and big miners mining and immediately converting to btc for profit. The more popular the coin is, the more unpredictable the factors are...
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LTCD] LitecoinDark.com ★ Scrypt ★ Bittrex ★ Cryptsy ★ 2nd Gen Crypto on: November 13, 2014, 10:54:07 AM
We are nearing about 80% completion on the website.

This site is going to be a lot simpler and won't have the forum integrated just yet. I will be working with the Devs in the coming days (Whenever they can) to get the new site up and running.

When I say simpler I mean not an overwhelming amount of information and text. Just simple facts so a new user to our currency can dive in right away. I will be adding more details to sub pages throughout the continuation of the currency. Also as we get feedback from the community on what they would like to see.

I wish to become your full time web developer and support the community and this coin on its way to the moon as we change history with the 2.0 blockchain technology!

Stay Classy

-Alec

You are unbeatable! ;-)
