Damn, that guy have slightly more than 1000 times of what my rig is doing...  Must be running a data center somewhere...

With the latest 28nm ASIC's I've seen machines slightly larger than the current cubes capable of 7.5 T H/s I'm hoping / trying to obtain one of these... possibly the little brother of this beast if that is what I can get accomplished. Then I can join the ranks of the serious bitcoin miners..... my measly 6 ghash setup (soon to be 12) is envious of such power to say the least.

It takes time. When I started, I think it was May of 2013, I had a whopping 600 Mh/s...hahaha.

After much trial and error, and a lot of learning, I'm at 0.0217% of Eligius. Whooo !

They are coming out of Arizona.

Solved all my shipping problems, they went out of their way.

Thanks Ninja. Sorry if I sounded too harsh.

Hey guys, I have made a youtube video with step by step instructions on how to overclock your antminer. Check it out here

Great overclocking video vvhiteknight. Thank you. I'll send you a donation later on today (in LTC, too cheap for BTC  Grin)

84  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 2 BTC/Each - OFFICIAL BITMAIN NORTH AMERICAN DISTRIBUTOR NINJATECH.ORG on: January 23, 2014, 01:27:29 AM
Relax !!!
After the first failed delivery attempt, you can call UPS and change the delivery address to your workplace.

I had them do that. Still, I should not have had to do that, since I gave them specific instructions. It really should not be all that hard.
85  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 2 BTC/Each - OFFICIAL BITMAIN NORTH AMERICAN DISTRIBUTOR NINJATECH.ORG on: January 22, 2014, 10:15:20 PM
This is total bullshit.

I specifically gave you instructions to NOT require a sign on delivery, because of my work schedule, as I cannot be there during the day.

So, what do I get today in my e-mail box? A notice that the package requires sign-on IN PERSON delivery.

I did not ask for this. I specifically wrote instructions on my order for you NOT to do that.

So, now I get a notice on my door, saying there will be another attempt at 10:30 am tomorrow morning. Guess what? I work during that time, and the package requires an in-person signature.

Why is it that you do not listen to your customers? Is this really THAT hard?

So, not only did you make the unit cheaper, after I ordered it, but then you screw up the shipping, doing exactly what I told you NOT to do, in the instructions when I ordered it (do you even read the comments field?)

I would like a full refund, or failing that, a refund of 0.2 BTC. Sent you a PM.

I am seriously pissed off right now.

0.034 in 24 hours, it's look like some problem still here... and NMC...

Chamber pot with handle inward

Yeah, I have the same thing, payout every day of .04-ish, but there is always a 0.04-ish balance.

Sometimes though, I get two payouts in one day. So, it's not too bad.

I think that's just the way wz computes it, at least for now. Maybe there are two separate data streams going to the payout server, your current payout and the currently running (in process) hashing.

At least, that's the way I'm reading it. I could be wrong. I have never been shafted by Eligius, and I doubt he's trying to shaft anybody.

I have enough problems keeping my mining gear going and not burning out any circuits....
87  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 2.2 BTC/Each - OFFICIAL BITMAIN NORTH AMERICAN DISTRIBUTOR NINJATECH.ORG on: January 21, 2014, 03:09:54 AM
I ordered 2 Friday 1/17 as well.  Still marked as processing even though this thread says all were shipped.  I PMed trying to get a status update but no response so far.

Maybe a free shipping upgrade might be in order since shipping directly from Bitmain was 3 days on my auction unit.

I am not sure where you saw that all were shipped from then, because that is not what Ninja's previous post says.  But I also ordered 4 last friday and was curious if those would be going out today?

+1 to DebitMe.

Some of you guys chose free 3 business day shipping after 5pm on a Friday.
The best I could do for all of our customers was ship today 2nd day air. for free.  I really find it disappointing I am being haggled for coupons when its the first business day of shipping.
Our team has worked several 18 hour days for 4+ weeks now.  Please be patient as we are trying our best.

ALL Friday orders were shipped out Friday and today, Free UPS 2nd Day Air.

V/R,

GN

Hey Ninja. Thanks for the free 2nd day shipping. That way, we can start mining early. I think this was actually a better deal than waiting for shipping from China anyway.

I'd rather be mining sooner than later. 0.3 BTC can be very easily made up. Price isn't everything.

88  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 2.2 BTC/Each - OFFICIAL BITMAIN NORTH AMERICAN DISTRIBUTOR NINJATECH.ORG on: January 19, 2014, 11:13:41 PM
is the price still 2.2 BTC? sushi and bitmain just lowered it to 1.9 BTC

Wow, that is kind of strange that Bitmain would be undercutting their NA distributor.

And, I ordered one late Friday. Sucks for me I guess.

If I get it within 3 days of monday, before the next difficulty change, I'll be reasonably happy.  Those are the risks I guess.

Looks like the 128 and 256 second stats came back, so something is working and/or in progress of being fixed.

Great work Wz.

Ok, software, server or DDoS collision, thats sounds better ? I talk only my opinion about that situation, situation looks like scam, smell like scam, etc. IMHO.

A very humble opinion. Like bugs are humble. And mud is humble.

Exercise your humility and keep your opinion to yourself during this time. WK doesn't need to waste effort on humble minds opinions. This outage has been handled professionally and there is no one who has put any amount of effort into reading the history of this pool who would doubt the effort occurring right now to bring the stats back online.

Yes, that outage is professionally handled. IYKWIM.

Wz doesn't charge a pool fee, and I think for that and other reasons, he deserves quite a bit slack here.

If you don't like it, there are other pools out there. Lots of pools have had database problems and delayed payouts. This is nothing new.

Lets move along and let the man do his work without whining about it.

93  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: 220G bitcoin miners official group buy on: January 16, 2014, 10:01:23 PM
Assuming they shipped at current difficulty, you might make a couple of bucks by June.

If they get to your doorstep at 2.3+ billion difficulty, 3 btc is way too high for the power usage (1000 W  Shocked), and you won't make jack, unless BTC goes up to the moon.

Price is too high for me. Best of luck to your efforts.

94  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: January 16, 2014, 03:10:20 AM
Honestly I have no dog in this fight (in fact I am not even currently an ASIC BTC miner, I GPU mine scrypt ATM).  I understand BKK did a tremendous amount of work for the community and a lot of people "like" him.

Can I ask honestly without wanting to offend BKK or his supporters why it is wrong for Jasinlee to question the authenticity of BKK's claims?  Seems fair to want to be able to rule out any possibilities of shenanigans.  I mean benefit of the doubt seems to be in short supply in the BTC world what with it's Deadwood mentality.  I see this entire subforum full of internet detectives digging into every aspect of companies and peoples lives, yet this particular gentleman puts a post on the forums and folks questioning him are attacked.

I must be missing something.

Admittedly, if I was asked for my personal opinion I would say I believe BKK's story (that and $5 will get you a fancy coffee at Starbucks!).  That is very easy for me to say having no skin in the game LDO but none the less I am not sure why some one who didn't agree with that opinion shouldn't be allowed to ask the question.

Yes. You are missing something. Since, like you said, you have no dog in this fight. Bkkcoins work has not only helped this community, but his BOM and PCB have been adapted and copied many times. The Kondike has served as the basis for Technobit's miners, as well as a template probably for potential Litecoin mining ASIC pcb's as well, and who knows what other inspirations and technological innovations.

Accidents happen, and nothing is perfect. People lose bitcoins all the time, and they live through it, without brain damage.

That is not the case for real life accidents.

As for Bkkcoins scamming people on purpose, it is highly doubtful that he did do it on purpose. He had the opportunity, like many ASIC manufacturer/designers, to completely rape people over the coals and take literally thousands of their BTC months ago, starting in April of 2013, when everybody was desperate for more hashpower. But he did not do it.

Lots of other people have scammed people around here, but there is no evidence that Bkkcoins has ever done so. Yeah, people may have lost some BTC, but hey, you lose BTC if you buy a stinking miner that never makes the BTC back. So, you pays your money and you takes your chances.

As for jasinlee, he seems to have appointed himself the righteous detective, judge and jury of this community to prevent scamming.

You know we can see your post history and registration date right?

Lets summarize my position so you do not get confused.

I want all the competitors that claim to be launching to be legit, this community has been scammed too many times.

Like, really? Who appointed you Inspector Clouseau? The Pink Panther?

And before you throw my accusations right back at me (which you will undoubtedly do), I've supported Bkkcoins and zipju with BTC to help them along with their projects.

So yeah, I have a dog in this fight.

95  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Where will the mining industry be in the long term? on: January 14, 2014, 05:17:08 AM

After 28 nm ships in quantity, and if they ever get 20 nm mining chips to work, that's when the REAL test will begin, of who is really committed to Bitcoin.

Because after that, there will be no more technological edge to push. The only way to increase your earnings will be to add hashpower, at whatever price it will cost (hint: 20nm circuit lithography machines are NOT cheap).

So, I think the weak hands and fly-by-night operations will be shaken out, and only the dedicated/properly planned mining operations will remain.

Network hash rate will become more stably predicted, and it will start to fall into a more linear range.

And, most importantly, I think BTC price will stabilize and will not have so many wild swings.

This will be good, in the long run. In the short run, people will whine

This sounds like : 640K is more memory than anyone will ever need on a computer.
Do you honestly think people will stop above 5mm ?

ps. Of course it's a myth that Bill Gates ever said that Smiley

I'm not saying that we won't get to less than 20nm circuits. I'm just saying it's pretty easy to go from 110 nm (1st gen ASICS), down to 65 nm, then 55 nm, then 28 nm, because that technology already exists and it's mature.

20 nm is on the horizon right now for later on this year. Beyond that, you have 12 nm tech, that they are working on for a couple of years down the road (and smaller).

But, your average fly-by-night BTC hardware company doubtfully has the deep pockets that is required for that kind of hardware investment, unless they are backed by HUGE amounts of venture capital. Not saying it cannot happen, it's just less likely to given current BTC prices.

With 10 times current BTC price, maybe.  Grin Grin

Quantum Bitcoing mining, anyone?  Shocked Shocked Shocked
96  Economy / Economics / Re: Everyone Who Believes In Bitcoin Should Try To Answer This Question on: January 13, 2014, 03:17:40 AM
Brad DeLong is a shrill for the financial industry.

The floor under Bitcoin is formed from central banks and countries devaluing their currencies. The more worthless fiat becomes, the more bitcoin will rise.

It's all in balance.

That's the Ying.

Bitcoin is the Yang, together with gold, form the other side of the rising balance beam.

It's really very simple. Brad DeLong simply doesn't get it, because his bread is buttered by the elitists who control Berkeley, Harvard, and the financial system.

He's a tool.

97  Economy / Economics / Re: Hide your kids, hide your wife! on: January 13, 2014, 03:12:26 AM

England, France and Germany defaulted during the 1930's, meaning they could not pay their debts.

The 1930's will happen again, and it will be called the 2nd Great Depression.

The only open question is, how many people will die due to the war that will result because of the renewed financial crisis?

It won't be in the hundred million range this time, it will be in the 1-3 billion deaths range.

That's the scary part. The financial pain ALWAYS causes subsequent deaths. It's the only constant in human history.
98  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin will collapse in price. on: January 13, 2014, 03:05:43 AM
Wait a minute, so, then if your thesis is that BTC will collapse in price, then what is your explanation of why it went up in price from $.01 to $100 and then over $1000??

How do you define a collapse? Collapse back to $100? I doubt that will happen, and even if it did, I don't think it would matter one bit. It will just shake out the weak hands, setting up for the next rally.

Collapse back to a penny per BTC? Highly doubtful, unless an attack takes out the network, and even then, there would be enough hashing power on the network to make such an attack incredibly costly and tough to execute.

Yawn. These threads are a dime a dozen.

Keep hashin' and don't worry about it.

100  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: TERRAMINER IV / DIFFICULTY / PRICES on: January 12, 2014, 01:38:51 AM
Not to try to sound too pessimistic, but there are very few companies that have actually shipped product on time, when promised.

Even KnCminer was a bit late.
ASICminer usually shipped only when they had product available, and through group buys here on the forums.

All the rest of them usually do pre-orders and then at least 2-4 weeks of delays. It really seems to be the norm around here.

Then, you get endless complaining and whining on these forums, endless hand-wringing of "omg, I won't make ROI, blah blah blah, getting worried, blah blah blah, difficulty going up , blah blah blah"

It really is starting to get pathetic.

This is why I don't do pre-orders anymore.
