I have 200,000. I really liked the coin features that's why I jumped in, what makes you think this coin is going to survive when it is about to be delisted from Bittrex?

Bittrex is just a one of the startup exchanges for coins. Its not the only exchange. You need to understand the concept of Digit. There is no point to cry over the price or delisting when trading volume is like 100 USD per day. If you do not like longer term speculative investments then i suggest you to sell.
In my opinion this is the only new hybrid altcoin which is built on honesty, not greed. That is why i believe it will survive and shine in couple of years time. People will get tired of pump and dump schemes. It will take time.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DIG] DIGIT [X13] | The Only Pump & Dump Proof Hybrid Crypto-Currency | on: July 14, 2014, 05:51:55 AM
I  don't get it man, this coin has been probably one of the worst investments I've made. Dev seems a little clueless, not sure if there's even a team of developers, this sounds like it is just a one man project. Price collapsing, Bittrex will be delisting for sure.  Cry

The only person clueless here is you. You obviously have no idea what did you "invest" in. Go sell now. My buy order is up.
How much do you even "hold"? Like 30K probably? The biggest crybabies in forums are usually the ones with 2 cent "investments".
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DIG] DIGIT [X13] | The Only Pump & Dump Proof Hybrid Crypto-Currency | on: July 13, 2014, 08:04:02 PM
Curently we're somewhat unable to take action for increasing the trade volume of DIGIT. In the age when more and more coins pop up every day not many people are willing to play the longer game and invest into stability, into something that doesn't live as long as a butterfly.

The one thing we could do is to give up and schedule the cut-off of Proof of Work blocks. This is likely to create a small value and volume increase, if combined with something like a new wallet for example.
We are also planning on switching to Proof of Stake protocol V2, which will motivate more on holding wallets online and staking.

We have asked bittrex not to de-list DIGIT.

Well perhaps we can. Anyone in here reading this if you give a shit about this coin make it move, and fast. I will do so on bittrex. Buy sell whatever.

Did my part now. bought all up to 30.  Cheesy

How much is the minimum volume for bittrex to keep the coin?
There are still 2 more exchanges for Digit, but its unfortunate that bittrex wants to cut it off.

15 second block times make transactions lightning fast.

It also makes blockchain data grow lighting fast in to mighty sizes. But more than that, im extremely worried about the security issues what 15sec block times are bringing.

How often does staking occur?

Coin are of age every 3 days I believe

That is the minimum age, yes. If you have around 10K + CINNI, then this amount should indeed stake in about 3-4 days.
Actually i have not looked yet what is CINNI split/combine amount. My wild guess would be it being below 10K. Perhaps around 3K.

every coin got whales, that frankly doesnt explain to me why they would want to keep the price down permanently. Every strong coin experiences a bubble every now and then and finally reach a higher price level afterwards, why not Cinni? It would be against their own interest of whales - except if its just about eliminating a competitor. There where corresponding announcements from big BC-Bagholders once.. but I not really buy that someone would waste so much lost profit just for that. there are more competitors than just Cinni out there currently.

The biggest whales are the creators of the coins.  Wink It has nothing to do with a rival coins. Q: Why do you think we have continuing trend of ~ 7 days mining window shitcoins? A: Because we all want to take away candy from the child. Its piss easy to rent a ton of mining power, release a new coin, hype it up a bit and dump it until it stops breathing.

Bought a lot from the 35-36. A happy bunny now...

if we learned anything from the delivery of the great EM-wallet, than its that markets do not reward the actual delivery of cool new features but just the announcement!

So come on Cinni, just announce the full flexible anon upgrade with guaranteed +100% price increase per hour which can also cook coffee, gives you a hug when you come home and makes a great sandwich. Grin

What happened was clear indication of CINNI being highly centralized. The whales completely controlled the bullish pressure and ate every buy order on sight. That created a panic and those little new investors started selling with a loss in order avoid even bigger loss later. The whales probably helped with their sell orders as well and all of this resulted in CINNI price going down despite of forum hype and expectations.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DIG] DIGIT [X13] | The Only Pump & Dump Proof Hybrid Crypto-Currency | on: July 09, 2014, 03:08:50 PM
can the Dev or someone else explain to me how is this coin "pump and dump" proof?  Huh

They are referring to the Stability Fund...
That uses 0.5% of the coins or whatever to buy DIG on the open market.

This should vastly increased to 5% or more along with a multipool...
And the DIG should be paid out to everyone... kinda like CLAM is doing.

I think you have lost with a thread. There is no such thing as a stability fund in Digit.
Digit is pump and dump proof simply because how its block reward mechanism is designed. Cant simply buy up the price for enought time in order to create a hype and profit from it. Simply because that would end up with huge block rewards and selling pressure.
In best case you could only create a daily spike in price, but that would be useless since you would not be able to sell your bought DIG  with profit. You would likely end up with a loss instead because miners who mined because high profitability would dump the coin for profit immediately and selling pressure would get even bigger.

^^ This is the reason why its rather quiet in this thread. 99.9% of bitcointalk.org users only care for quick profit. And there is no quick profit in this coin.

But does this mean the price of DIG will never go up? What's the point of buying and holding this coin then?

Whats the point of gambling with other coins? Unless you control enough to dictate the moves, you will lose in long term period.
With Digit there are couple of options.
1. You mine and hold for longer period. This generates significant interest and hopefully you will get a nice bonus for your initial investment.
2. You buy and hold for longer period. The same as above.

Like i said. There are no significant short term profit to gain with this coin.
Im just slowly buying when price goes under and hopefully selling for profit when mining blocks shrink and will be cut off in 10 or so months.

Or maybe... just maybe...

If a small miracle happens and people in this forum actually start realizing that DIG is the most fair coin of them all, then Digit price will surely rise despite of block rewards will rise too.

The block reward multiplier is decreasing nicely. So blocks get smaller every day and a bit by bit.

So what will happen to CINNI source code now when ryomster is gone? Any candidate who could take over the project?

I don't think rynomster is gone
last time i talked with him everything was ok he just had some personal issues irl that he needed to solve. He told he was talking a break for a while.
He didn't say that he quit.

also source is on my github https://github.com/Cinnicoin/CinniCoin

I'm trying to find help also for future projects for cinni.
Paradigmflux said he have another dev and that he can help me too.

Do you have programming skills? Or do you just create coins?

https://github.com/Cinnicoin/CinniCoin/graphs/contributors

He does!

There is a difference between understanding enough C++ to make a few fixes and actually writing entire features from the scratch.
Im in the first category as well, but unfortunately I am not skilled enough on this field in order to provide a significant help.

^^ /agree.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happening with DOGE? on: July 08, 2014, 03:21:42 PM
Doh. It was worth a try...

Lets speculate the price. I say DOGE will hit a minimum of 50 sat before DOGEmas and a 100 sat in next summer.
I sell half at 50-60 to cover my investment and half will be kept on free ride to 100.

My patience is starting to run thin as well, and i am holding a huge amount compared to most in this thread.
Im not going to bother ryomster with PM, but i would like to read hes statement, what is going on with development?
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happening with DOGE? on: July 08, 2014, 02:57:01 PM

Hey naysayers!

Here is my DOGE address: DQXNxJnkZEcmxXwa9uZnsEpvBPrirNLuqT
Feel free to send your dead DOGEs to me. I will wake them up and sell them back to you at 100.

Its rather quiet in this thread, but i look at it as a good thing. Less attention means less coins will be mined in total. That means a potentially higher price point when mining ends in 10 months or so.
