81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL? on: November 04, 2017, 04:56:04 AM
Right now, i'd recommend holding.

ICos are booming right now but ETH price isn't bnefiting much from it so it seems. The markets will catch up eventually and a correction will come that will take the price up again. The price for ETH is nearly the same as in April.

Play the long term game, people will soon start talking about ETH more, price could potentially hit 0.1 again.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Etherparty ICO Speculation on: November 04, 2017, 04:48:05 AM
Hey, just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this ICO? Looks like it isn't moving as well during ICO phase as most people thought. But I did notice how many updates they are kicking out, and it seems like a big positive there.

I don't know about this project at all, just checked their site, it seems a bit like counterparty except it is on the ethereum network if i'm not mistaken? Anyways after the ICO i would not be surprised if price doubled or even tripled.

The site design looks good, so is their actual product GUI.

Both are big pluses. It just needs some more recognition and as i said - double or triple ICO price is easy.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: omg or qtum 2018 on: November 04, 2017, 04:26:07 AM
which coin do you predict will do it better the next year?

i feel like that OMG is going to do a lot better. I don't know, it's just a gut feeling. Their team just seems a lot more active with all the airdrops for different altcoin holders and all that. Also OMG is just one place behind QTUM, it could easily overtake that spot.

OMG's price is sort of this semicircle trend that is very regular, but QTUM is just all over the place.

OMG's site also looks a lot nicer in my opinion.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My strategy for the next hardfork SEGWIT2X on: November 04, 2017, 04:21:52 AM
My strategy for the next fork, that is supposed to take place around 20th nov.
If there are exchanges that support it and credit B2X for BTC in 1:1 ratio, then i will sell all my alts to buy just and only BItcoin. (nowdays i dont have a cent in BTC). This B2X seems by far very more worth than the BTG shit.. JUst right after the fork, dumping of BTC to buy the bleeding alts that will be around cryptomarket. I will keep the B2X at least for some days (as there is no replay protection, so better safe than sorry) and then decide if keep or dump also.
NOw the question is.. it is smart to sell my damaged altcoins still with lost (since i bought during the summer ATH) and start accumulating BTC? when should i do it? will the altcoins have another rise like yesterday? will BTC still drop more ?
take in mind that last time, people began accumulating BTC as long as 3 weeks before the hardfork... so no much time left for a decision.
what do you think?

Yeah if there are any big exchanges that credit your account instantaneously i would defintiely go with them. Just don't store all your coins with them, do like half with them and half in your own wallet. Because when BCC came out it was sort of a similar scenario, on bittrex people could already sell their BCC for BTC but if you just held it in your address you couldn't.

Altcoins are probably going to suffer from the fork. But then, it's just a great time to buy.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can ETH match the BTC? on: November 04, 2017, 04:17:28 AM
I'm in this crypto world about two months, I've been observing the power of ETH!

What, you mean can ETH ever be the same value as bitcoin? Or in terms of market cap?

I think that both of these are going to be long shots for ETH. People have been hyping about this for a while, the fact that ETH may be able to take over BTC as the #1 coin. But personally i just don't see it ever happening.

Best it can do is be a solid #2 guy. Bitcoin was here first, it has the most trust out of everyone and that's all it matters.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Change Private Key on: November 04, 2017, 04:15:51 AM
I accidentally sent my MEW private key instead of wallet address to this Google Docs Airdrop. Is it possible to replace that private key? Thanks a lot!

What you can do is just send the money out from your myetherwallet that is already compromised to a new myetherwallet with a brand new seed. There is no way to change the private key, since it is simply a unique identifier.

Just get a new wallet, and you're fine(if nobody was quick enough to realise your mistake).

Next time, be more careful.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: vertcoin prices to reach 50 DOLLARS on: November 04, 2017, 04:10:49 AM
I feel a hard price-hike coming up. What do you guys think?

I call BS!  Grin

Maybe $10 but definitely not going to be $50. That would put VTC's valuation above quality projects such as XMR, OMG, ZEC, and NEO. It's just not realistic to anticipate 12x gains in such short periods of time in my opinion.

pump & dump coin for me.
i was so disapointed with it in october with huge speculation on it

Exactly. This coin was pumped because of hype. Not because how good a coin it is.
88  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM SCAM]MONEYPOT[SCAM SCAM] officially announced not to buy RBIES as promised on: November 04, 2017, 02:58:12 AM
Jackpotracer, do you have any proof that you've held the rubies from a certain period of time and not just stirring this up because of the fact that you are able to take advantage of the arbitrage opportunity? Also you seem like a total dickhead closing and reopening the accusation.

But all in all i do think that once a promise is made, it should be kept. Otherwise, it's just as bad as the paycoin scam(where they promised a $20 price floor).

I think that if Doge can settle on perhaps a lesser buyback price, say 500 sats that investors agree on, that'll be the best option. But then, i'm not sure what compromises Jackpotracer will be willing to partake.
89  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin sold out on: November 03, 2017, 11:15:35 PM
My dear,
tell me somebody what will happen to bitcoin, if Satoshi sell it his 5% that is more than a million units?
Whether it can ruin the market or not?

Firstly, we don't know for sure whether or not satoshi actually have that much bitcoin. It's purely speculation right now whether or not he does have that amount and you'll have to do your own researrch and formulate your own opinion.

If he does sell then it'll definitely crash the market. No doubt.

But again, if he wants to sell why hasn't he sold back in 2013 when price has spiked or even now? He has vested interest in seeing bitcoin grow, since he is the founder.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SIA under 60 satoshis on: November 03, 2017, 11:04:41 PM
Bitcoin storm is here, alts are dying and we have nice opportunities like for SIA. Price at 60 satoshis, market cap at 100M, team expanding, nice roadmap ( https://trello.com/b/Io1dDyuI/sia-public-roadmap )

What price are you going to get in ?

Do you think it can go under 40 satoshis ?

Price is falling in the same trajectory that dogecoin is currently.

Under 40 satoshis wouldn't really be a surprise to me in my opinion. Bitcoin is going very strong indeed at the moment and will probably hit the $10k more sooner or later this year. However, when bitcoin's rise in value takes a break, money will start getting back into alts again.

Good investment imo as soon as it is under 35 satoshis/SIA.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think LTC go up soon? on: November 03, 2017, 11:02:07 PM
Right now probably not. The price could potentially drop to below 0.005 BTC per LTC because of the fact that nobody is hyping about Segwit activation on the LTC network anymore. However after that, there is a fair chance that people will start buying again.

LTC is still a pretty solid coin in terms of development, even though it has pretty much no advantages over other coins. But its founder is a public figure and he probably will not see litecoin die.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Beware of Bitcoin Cash because it is going to.... on: November 03, 2017, 10:39:12 PM
Bitcoin cash has consistently gone up in the past few days in the lead of of the fork, i wouldn't be surprised if all the FOMO and hype created right now will dissipate once the fork is actually done and we get segwit2x happening.

Trading volume is triple Ethereum's right now, again suggesting hype.

I wouldn't buy right now though it can potentially take the 0.1 BTC barrier.
93  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason for the BTC price rise on: November 03, 2017, 10:15:15 PM
Hello,

So the BTC today is >USD 7,000 and keeps rising and I searched in the web for possible reasons why this happens and forecasts. I found this news (https://www.forbes.com/sites/insideasia/2017/11/01/bitcoins-6400-price-tag-explained-by-initial-coin-offering-craze/#1e12e4a137d6), for which I think this explanation is quite interesting and compelling.

What do you think of this? Any arguments?

Thanks,
Luiz

Garbage post. Bitcoin is now above $7000 and ICO has nothing to do with the recent price increase. The increase today is due to the looming Segwit2x activation in mid November. And countries are cracking down on ICO's, countries like China, South Korea and the ICO are heavily watching those so I doubt that it contributed to the as least significantly rising price of bitcoin today. Not everything you read in the internet is true, specially about bitcoin and crypto, most of the writers now don't know anything about bitcoin, they just write about it because bitcoin is very much enjoyed by a lot of people and they are just riding out of its popularity.

Yep. Ethereum is the platform that is most associated with ICOs and its price is actually going down from its all time high by 60-70% now. Bitcoin on the other hand does not offer a platform for ICOs to issue its tokens on, yet its price is rising.

Segwit2x could be a possibility, but i think it's just institutional investors catching on.

Bitcoin has a lot of potential and it's just realising this now.
94  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you have some experience with Crypto Investments Ltd maning? on: November 03, 2017, 10:13:15 PM
It's obvious that this is a scam and you should not trust a single cent with its admins.

They are promising 500% returns on your investment in a year, compounded. Which means that the only way to do it is either through very good trading or having to resort to running a ponzi scheme. In fact, it's probably neither. They are going to most likely take your money as soon as you invest anything into it.

Anything invested into this will be lost.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I picked this coin 30 days ago - EVERYONE flamed me. Its now up 400%. on: November 03, 2017, 10:04:05 PM
There isn't a whole lot of liquidity with this coin with buy orders on the biggest exchange that it is listed on totalling only 4 BTC right now. And its biggest exchange si actually coinexchange, a small exchange when compared to others.

Anyways, profit is profit. But i still don't see this coin making a long term impact.

97  Economy / Speculation / Re: I do not have the guts to buy bitcoins now. on: November 02, 2017, 09:01:58 AM
I do not even have the courage to buy Bitcoin. Although I believe Bitcoin a lot. Many of my friends have made a lot of money by investing in Bitcoin. So I am thinking that I will buy Bitcoin in the future. As Bitcoin too Rising to 5000+ USD   Grin

WHAT DO YOU THINK ?  Roll Eyes

If you don't have the guts to, then don't buy.

The price is high, and if anything, your gut feeling is probably right. A dip is probably going to come that will make prices go down in the short run and you can pick up your cheap coins then when everyone else is dumping off theirs like crazy.

Buy when everyone else is selling, sell when everyone is buying.
98  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is your account blocked by bittrex? on: November 02, 2017, 08:56:06 AM
I'm fairly certain that the problem most people with bittrex have is not because it is illegal to use bittrex in their country but rather the fact that bittrex did not process their withdrawal and it keeps pending or their account gets suspended for no reason.

Also seen people that has issues verifying themselves against the public records that bittrex checks against.

It's still valid to write scam accusations against bittrex, they can't be entitled to do anything to customer funds.
99  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake Myetherwallet site? on: November 02, 2017, 08:52:02 AM
It does show the corporation details on my device(chrome as well) so it is odd. I don't know why yours only shows as secure, but you got the URL right. If you type in myetherwallet.com in your chrome with all the right spelling then it's likely something faulty on chrome's end.

I would either install their chrome extension or bookmark their site to make sure that you're not on a fake site.

Don't click on any google ads links, they are all unfiltered.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC and TOP alts price action. on: November 02, 2017, 08:39:22 AM
IOTA definitely is an interesting choice. Their team is also interested in implementing anonymity into their coin which is extremely promising if they can actually pull it off. However, the currency itself is definitely still quite young.

Lots of potential to show, in my opinion. But right now, we may see some further dips before a pump back up to 0.5 USD+.

The downward trend has to stop soon though.
