81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 【LAUNCHED】【BTC2】Bitcoin 2, BTC Fork 1:1, PoS 🔥 Zerocoin, Anonymous ⚡️Instant TX on: May 16, 2018, 03:22:03 AM
A question to all BTC2 Wallet users.

How many peers did you have maximum?
At the time my maximum 5 peers
I see 2 outgoing and 0 incoming connections. I think it all depends on the provider, because I tried to turn on the wallet on another computer and tried to connect through 4G. Maybe the matter is that I'm in Russia and now the IP addresses are blocking the regulator to fight Тelegram. The regulator has already blocked many addresses of Amazon, Google and other services.
I have a question for the team, can I install a wallet on the Amazon cloud? Will it work?

Yes you can. And they offer a free 12 month trial tier. There is even a guide specific to AWS at https://www.bitc2.org/bitcoin-2-masternode-guide
Just ignore the section titled "How to setup the Bitcoin 2 Masternode" if you want to just stake with it.

I have the exactly same problem. I got only 2 outgoing and 0 incoming connections recently. I can't get stake with it (most of them are orphans blocks).
Can I add some nodes manually? Does it help?
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] æternity blockchain ∞ AE TOKEN ∞ [PoW & PoS | Oracles | Smart Contracts] on: May 15, 2018, 11:59:12 PM
Aeternity (AE) will be launched on Huobi Autonomous Digital Asset Exchange (HADAX) May 15, 2018 (GMT+8). Deposits for AE will be available from 14:30 May 15, 2018(GMT+8). AE/BTC, AE/ETH trading will be available on HADAX from 14:00 May 16, 2018(GMT+8). Withdrawals will be available from 14:30 May 17, 2018 (GMT+8).

https://www.huobipro.com/notice_detail/?id=1540

That's a big deal. Huobi exchange is one of biggest Chinese exchanges, like Binance and Okex, which has a good user base. We can see the popularity of AE when it is close to be released.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SONM • Decentralized Fog Computing Platform on: May 15, 2018, 11:56:31 PM
Let's talk about something besides the price.

I'd like to involve in the "mining". I'd like to buy some computer to supply the computer power.
What kind of computers are good?
Can I get profit from renting my computer power now?

Right now is still the Test-Net. In July they will have some of the functions where you can earn real SONM for your rented computers. In AUG the whole Main-Net gets released. From there I'm sure there will be lots of steady improvements.

Thanks! I am looking forwards to the main net release on July/August.
What kind of computer shall I have in order to earn SONM?
Do anyone know?

At this moment holders and community has only demand to take ETT on more exchanges which will be much more than restoring trust and faith in project. You can say anything but your work on ground will be speaking for itself. Development can take few more months but people want trading opportunities and that team should listen for maximum transparency.
That's the point. People want to trade. A coin only with an active trade volume will be possible to be succeed.
The only demand of have exchanges can not be fulfilled so far.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re:  INTERNET OF COINS ⛓ blockchain freedom (r)evolution ⛓ [ CROWDFUND CLOSED ] on: May 14, 2018, 09:28:52 AM

sometimes I wonder if at some point the point would come when the multiple altcoin that exist will begin to converge in grouped coins or the union of them, I mean it's like a very explosive tendency that could dilute a lot of capital,

For me, the assets on multi-chains look stupid. It is hard to trade.
Do we have any exchange for trade them in only one site, instead of using several wallet?
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ARDOR | Scalable Blockchain-as-a-Service Platform | Proof of Stake on: May 13, 2018, 01:56:19 PM
I understand ARDOR could replace ETHERIUM in the distant future? Since it is much more functional blockchain.

It will never happen, no matter how much you want it. I'm not arguing of course ARDOR is a great coin at a great team.

I agreed that ARDOR will never replace ETH. But I can't understand the recent performance of ARDOR after its release. Sucks... indeed.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook is serious about launching a Crypto !!!!! on: May 13, 2018, 01:48:30 PM
The number of active Facebook users for 2008 is 2.19 billion monthly.
Facebook is serious about launching a Crypto !!!!!
another big coin Huh
https://cryptobriefing.com/ready-for-facebook-coin/

What's the purpose of the "potential" Facebook coin?
What can we, normal investors, get profit from it?

Ladies and gentlemen, we are pleased to inform you that the Monthly Report is ready and published on our blog. Be careful, inside you will find unimaginable mindblowing facts on SONM development. Dive in and enjoy.

Looks nice. The regular news and updates will enhance the faith of investors. The price will fly in this year, no doubt.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why China banned bitcoin? on: May 11, 2018, 04:00:36 AM
China's three major virtual currencies trading platform Bitcoin China, Coin Network, OKCoin currency have announced that they will cease trading business, the Chinese regulatory authorities so resolute and beyond imagination. I would like to know why China prohibits bitcoin. What is the reason, who can tell me?
This is the news link I saw before:http://www.myzaker.com/article/59bf055a9490cb703500002b/

The government is afraid of the freedom behind of bitcoin. Also there is a key reason that a lot of rich Chinese use Bitcoin to transfer their money into dollars and move them to oversea.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [CryptoNight] CPU mining guide & coins that will get you a return on: May 11, 2018, 03:58:18 AM
I have seen a lot of users that want to start mining or have already started but do not know what to mine. I though of creating this thread by including all of the new CryptoNight coins that are worth while mining using your CPU and will get you a decent amount of coins in return.
I will maintain this thread and add more coins on it, feel free to bookmark if you like.

I think the average mining power of your low to mid level CPU is about ~100-150 h/s so, I will create a guide on what to mine and how to do it based on this hashing speed.
Note: With this hashing speed you will definitely loose money if you sell what you mine because electricity is expensive. This approach is going to work only if you're OK with the idea that their value will probably appreciate in time.

What coins to mine?

The most lucrative coins from a "low difficulty & good returns" perspective are:

  • Qwerty Coin (QWC) - you will get ~315,000 tokens/day
  • TurtleCoin(TRTL) - you will get ~3500 tokens/day
  • PinkStarCoin (PNKS) - you will get ~600 tokens/day - swap coins until May 27th
  • Stellite Coin (XTL) - you will get ~270 tokens/day
  • DinastyCoin (DCY) - you will get ~200 tokens/day
  • ByteCoin (BCN) - you will get ~26 tokens/day
  • CrepCoin (CREP) - you will get ~49 tokens/day
  • Intense Coin (ITNS) - you will get ~7 tokens/day
  • Fonero (FNO) - you will get ~9 tokens/day
  • Graft (GRFT) - you will get ~1 tokens/day
  • Electroneum (ETN) - you will get ~4 tokens/day
  • LeviarCoin (XLC) - you will get ~2 tokens/day
  • Dero (DERO) - you will get ~0.3 tokens/day
  • Alloy (XAO) - you will get ~15 tokens/day
  • Haven (XHV) - you will get ~0.4 tokens/day
  • Karbo (KRB) - you will get ~0.2 tokens/day
  • Sumokoin (SUMO) - you will get ~0.1 tokens/day
  • NioBioCash (NBR) - you will get ~20 tokens/day
  • Solace Coin (SOLACE) - you will get ~2000 tokens/day
  • Loki Coin (LOKI) - you will get ~0.4 tokens/day
  • Triton Coin (TRIT) - you will get ~25 tokens/day

What pool should I use?

Usually all of the legitimate pools will charge a fee, from my experience, the good ones charge up to 1%. None of the good ones are free.

The pools I use or heard they are good:

  • DCY - dcy.poolmining.us
  • BCN - bytecoin.uk
  • ETN, KRB, SUMO, ITNS, GRFT - easyhash.io
  • XLC - xlc.dark-mine.su
  • TRTL - turtlepool.space
  • DERO - pool.dero.live
  • XAO - cryptoknight.cc/alloy/
  • FNO - fno.cryptopool.space
  • XHV - xhv.luckypool.io
  • PNKS - pnks.poolmining.us
  • XTL - communitypool.stellite.cash
  • QWC - qwertycoin.site
  • CREP - crep.miner.rocks
  • NBR - nbr.4miner.me
  • SOLACE - solace.luckypool.io
  • LOKI - loki.miner.rocks
  • TRIT - cryptoknight.cc/triton

Where can I get a wallet address?

The best place to get a wallet address is on the website of the coin. I have also used FreeWallet or Jaxx but usually none of the new coins are supported in these.

The most secure wallets to use are the paper wallets, you can mine directly to them.
Note: Please do not use a wallet address from an exchange, you will most likely loose your mined coins.

What software to use for mining?

I am using Xmrig for mining. In my opinion this is the best & easy to use command line CPU miner.
Note: They charge a fee for mining which is between 1% - 5%. You can configure this to the amount you like to donate.

First you need to download the correct file from here: https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig/releases

You should have 3 files:

  • config.json
  • start.bat
  • xmrig.exe

The important part is the config.json file, this is the only file (read the comments in it too):
Code:
{
    "algo": "cryptonight",  // cryptonight (default) or cryptonight-lite
    "av": 0,                // algorithm variation, 0 auto select
    "background": false,    // true to run the miner in the background
    "colors": true,         // false to disable colored output
    "cpu-affinity": null,   // set process affinity to CPU core(s), mask "0x3" for cores 0 and 1
    "cpu-priority": 2,   // set process priority (0 idle, 2 normal to 5 highest)
    "donate-level": 5,      // donate level, mininum 1%
    "log-file": null,       // log all output to a file, example: "c:/some/path/xmrig.log"
    "max-cpu-usage": 85,    // maximum CPU usage for automatic mode, usually limiting factor is CPU cache not this option.
    "print-time": 60,       // print hashrate report every N seconds
    "retries": 5,           // number of times to retry before switch to backup server
    "retry-pause": 5,       // time to pause between retries
    "safe": false,          // true to safe adjust threads and av settings for current CPU
    "threads": 3,        // number of miner threads corresponds to the number of cores you CPU has, recommended 3 for quad core processors
    "pools": [
{
            "url": "<your_pool_address>",   // URL of mining server or: etn.fairhash.org:3333
            "user": "<your_wallet_address>",                        // username for mining server
            "pass": "x",                       // password for mining server, usually "x" or ""
            "keepalive": true,                 // send keepalived for prevent timeout (need pool support)
            "nicehash": true                  // enable nicehash/xmrig-proxy support
        }
    ],
    "api": {
        "port": 0,                             // port for the miner API https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig/wiki/API
        "access-token": null,                  // access token for API
        "worker-id": null                      // custom worker-id for API
    }
}

After you properly change config.json, you can start the miner by opening start.bat (on Windows). That's it!

Another mining app for CPU mining is XMR-STAK, you can use this as well, a guide on how to install it was provided by neosi1 here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2891680.msg33070715#msg33070715

A more detailed mining thread which showcases multiple mining apps (CPU & GPU) can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2345911.0

Please let me know if you have questions/suggestions or feel free to share the coins you are mining with your CPU and could be added on this list.

The payment for mining is shown as the unit of tokens. However, it should be better to use BTC or ETH per day. That will make the profit clear.

tomorrow jelurida will release the updated roadmap

let's see what happens Smiley

Today?
To be honest, ARDOR performed not so good after its main net release at the beginning of this year. Hope its good development.

hi, jbrg, may I ask a possible frequently-asked-question?
What's the difference between SONM and iExec?
Can I mine it?
If I can, what kind of rigs do I need? CPU, GPU?
94  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen when 1 satoshi is $ 1? on: May 09, 2018, 12:40:29 AM
What will happen when 1 satoshi is $ 1?
I think if that is the price of 1 satoshi, it's a huge amount for a holder of Bitcoin imagine $1 USD but, that's not gonna happen I think because all of the Bitcoin holders and traders would become a millionaire that easy. Every person has a big hold of coin and the crypto world will gonna mess up with that price. Make it possible in the future someday.

1 satoshi is $ 1 is basically impossible, unless the dollar system is down.
Let's expect some "realistic" price for bitcoin in the near future: $200,000 (~20 times of the present price).
That means 0.002$ per satoshi.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Spectrecoin[XSPEC] TOR+OBFS4, Ring Sig, Stealth! on: May 09, 2018, 12:29:41 AM
I dumped my Nexus at $9 and bought xpec at $4.4.
Not that Nexus is a great coin but I shouldn't have done that.
Still no word on stealth staking and it's May. SpectreCoin is shit. I'm gonna do some market research and dump my coins and invest in something with a better future and that doesn't look as amateurish as this.
But gonna wait until Wisp fork and dump both.
What a fucking joke. At least I can say that this was the stupidest thing I've done in the crypto world. Bought in to shillers, lol.

The only one you can blame is just yourself. You are the only one responsible for your own investment. If you bought XSPEC at $0.04 and sold them at $4, you won't say these words and you won't say XXXX is a shit.

Yeah of course. That doesn't change the fact (and you don't deny it) that this coin is shit. The only reason why it went to $5 is because EVERYTHING was pumped, and also people shilled this coin - and still are, with basically no progress to back it up.

Come on Wisp guys, fork already.

The bad performance of XSPEC in these months are manifold. One is due to the whole crypto market. The other one, maybe the main one, is due to the negative information and the slow development from the previous dev, jbg, the present Wisp dev.

I won't say XSPEC as a shit, as I indeed bought some at $0.04 on May 2017 and sold most of them at $4. I will buy them back when the price hit $0.3-0.4.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum will reach $ 2500 on: May 08, 2018, 01:09:30 AM
The price prediction of $2500 is not so ridiculous. I saw around that some one "predicts" the price Ethereum will reach $15000. But I think these predictions are over-optimistic.
There are a lot of other coins with smart contracts. And ETH has been found to be no so efficient and buggy.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: May 08, 2018, 12:59:09 AM
Anybody knows Tezos BTC and ETH wallet adress? They have raised 250m$ but now they have more BCH etc and market is up. They have at least 1 billion$.

They, including the dev team and the foundation, are getting damned rich! But not us, the investors.
I hope our long time waiting is worth it. And all investors will get paid when the main net is launched.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ETT]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B blockchain communications infrastructure on: May 07, 2018, 02:27:15 AM
well, ist over here. russia wont let them do something with encryption. the telegram case is the proof for this.
devs really should react and tell us what they are going to do.

did they already give up and bend to the new developments?

it would be better to stand up. then now they would have a change to say no! we will help people to encrypt their communication. but nothing.

or will the launch something and pretend to encrypt the traffic and work together with putin and his guys?

i dont trust them any longer.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-03-20/telegram-loses-bid-to-stop-russia-from-getting-encryption-keys

Well yeah what is happening.
Their social media seems dead.

The last Youtube video was 9 months ago...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sw6CJR58mEQ

They even removed the team...
https://imgur.com/a/96NsNu2

So many signs they will do a runner or perhaps they deliberatly trying to kill the project by this silence...

Can't believe I trusted these russians.

They are active in slack channel but they have not always making any announcements here. I think with that news lets wait for the team to speak out of this issues i saw Realrimlin in the past month posting a news or update i can't remember what is it but im sure he posted it.

You are right that he posted an update in recent month. But it has no sense.
No obvious progress comes out even one year past. What can we expect from this team?

Great to see people appreciating the intrinsic value of AE, already a $1bn market cap token, cant imagine where this will reach once the technology gets fully released and starts beign adopted

One billion market cap is a milestone for AE. However, I expect that one billion is just a beginning. And even ten billion is not the final target of AE. AE is targeting the top 5 coins.
