Oh thanks , download the 347.88 for win10 x64 , and with ethminer-0.9.41-genoil-1.0.8.zip daggerhashimoto for eth i have 20 mh/s ? .

Something like that. I'm using 1.0.7 IIRC, because the latest version was not provided for Cuda 6.5 (which is the most that this old driver will support). You'll need to experiment with the different releases to find out one that works.

My 980's are somewhat overclocked (not much), and are doing about 22MH each if I'm not mistaken.

[ANN] is well written and seems serious, but one unanswered question:

Ultimately, where are you guys going with this? What's DCR's end goal?
Stupid question which asked at each altcoin again.
The ultimate goal is dependent on developments and support of the community and global acceptance. Each year there goal will be adjusted.

Their primary goal has already been achieved...create an alternative Bitcoin with a stable network and price.

Just stop.

I imagine that this project means very different things for different people, and whatever can be said about this is mostly matter of personal opinion. My 2 cents:
 - it establishes a sustainable development funding model, as opposed to various notable examples where this has failed greatly and development is either at risk, or heavily influenced by a small number of individuals towards their personal interests.
 - it establishes the foundations for a widely distributed governance model, whereby voting will allow holders to voice their opinions in a public/open democratic stage.
 - implemented a critical advancement of the consensus process, with a truly hybrid approach to block validation, effectively integrating both holders and miners in a unified layer of consensus, as opposed to the mixed/alternating PoW/PoS currencies (the closest meaningful reference).
 - the stewards of the project have proven themselves over and again, before and after Decred launched, and they have continued to deliver, clearly keeping the fundamentals as the first and foremost priority (see development dispatches for a multitude of references).

End goal: World domination, why of course!  Grin
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BRK] Breakout Chain | ICO LIVE Bittrex | Multicurrencies+Smart Contracts on: July 02, 2016, 02:24:02 PM
Not Fudding because i am backing this coin.  But the 3rd ico (unless they distribute it differently) will be sooner than that.  If they don't reach 2k btc, BRX will have to be distributed somehow.....and that probably means the same kind of format.

I don't see much point in wild guessing what will happen for a 3rd investment round. One thing is clear for anyone that has been around since this all started: the team has stuck through the tough times, and delivered (though obviously it took much longer than originally anticipated).

In addition, at each round of investment, there's less risk for those investing (as a lot of the goals have since materialized). Everything we've seen so far, has shown great effort from the team in keeping the terms fair for both old investors, as well as new ones.

There's no clear reason why the 3rd round would have to happen sooner or later. It's really up to the team and has mostly to do with the financial performance of the platform/enterprise. Finally, what we do know about the 3rd round, whenever that happens, is that it'll not be for BRK, but strictly for BRX, which flips the investment dynamics around quite a bit, compared to round 2.

It'll be quite interesting to see how things go!

While we wait: If anyone wants to part with some of their BRX, PM an offer please. Do note, as it has been widely portrayed in this thread already, BRX holds little to no value, and ROI is virtually impossible, so craft your offer accordingly!  Grin
I would be happy to part with the few BRK I earned in the tourneys for some BRX (rate TBD of course).

Any news for ethereum on win 10 ? New driver ? .

what gpu? 1070 can do 33 in oc on windows 10, plug and play

I have gtx 980 with windows 10 x64 home edition get only 5 mh/s .

You just need an older driver version, for example 347.88 will get you over 20MH/s on the 980.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BRK] Breakout Chain | ICO LIVE Bittrex | Multicurrencies+Smart Contracts on: June 30, 2016, 06:19:07 PM
If that is true then BRX holds all the value of the platform in an ecosystem designed to accept BRK as currency, which means the price for BRK will bottom out killing the price of both tokens.

You can't really make this reasoning without looking at the numbers involved. At the full initial supply (if unchanged), BRK is staked at a rate that is increasing by approximately 5% a year. It's quite unreasonable to claim that a supply increase of 5% a year, would bottom out and kill the token.

I would also highlight the fact that BRK has a use case, one which has a lot of us excited about.
Valuation will always be part speculation, but not exclusively so, and this is rather unique.

Breaking out!

Just had my 1st ever "expired" ticket without having been picked. Was mined on February 8th, ticket price was 2 DCR, and the unlucky bugger never got his chance to shine!  Grin Grin

This was on my personal wallet as pools were even not around at the time (let alone the awesome one in my signature  Cheesy), but it does have me wondering: Once pool staking tickets get old enough and expire, will they simply show up on the pool stats just like any missed ticket?

I understand this is not a big deal, since all pools would average about the same rate of expired tickets, so everyone's stats are equally impacted (roughly), but it just feels awkward that these will get recorded as missed, though in fact, they just never got picked.   Roll Eyes

For folks looking at the interest rates with BRX:
Quote
5% interest annually

If I understand correctly, this figure (5%), was derived from the initial BRK supply, block times and reward per block. The actual percentage will be much higher, in practice, if a large portion of the initial BRK supply ends up being provably destroyed by Bittrex, which is looking most likely. My expectation is that destroying a significant portion of the initial supply, will end up making both BRK and BRX more valuable (i.e, scarcer).

In effect, it's anyone's guess as to what will be the actual staking returns. It will depend largely on where the stake difficulty settles, and working out the optimal staking strategy (number of inputs vs size of the inputs). Coin control addicts have the upper hand there!  Grin Grin
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 30, 2016, 10:44:55 AM
Mining centralization will be very difficult for Monero. [...]

Difficult might not be the best word there. I think we're not at a nethash that is AWS (or some other large cloud provider) resistant so to speak. It would be extremely expensive though. So much so, that it makes no economical sense to begin with.  Cool

Smart Mining(TM), where are thou?  Cheesy

@marcelocoin @flipace and others: thank you for an awesome poker game last night.
I think I did really poorly on the hand that got me out at the last table, but all in all quite happy since I really only ever played poker tourneys since the breakout fun started, and so far just a few... Beginners luck is what got me that far, most definitely  Grin

I'd just like to express that the duration of the tourney is a bit too much for me. I'm way past my best before date by the time we got to the final table. I imagine that the regulars are most used to it, but for a poker newbie as myself, it really feels too demanding.
In any case, awesome job, the app is fine, the game is big fun, and a great vibe all around.  Cool Cool

Funny how u get all defensive, typicall pump and dumper? no shit im a trader we buy low sell high, u didnt give 1 valid argument why its worth it to buy decred, instead u are just making things personal. Seems decred wont go anywhere if this is how they want to continue.

If that's how you read it, all good with me. Again, best of luck.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCR] Decred - Hybrid PoW/PoS | btcsuite Devs | Tons of New Features | Go on: June 29, 2016, 01:42:16 PM
Seems Decred isnt really catching on? Not really traded with nice volume, are devs serious about this coin? Any killer features? Marketing?

If you need to ask if the developers are serious about this coin, you're either not paying attention, or you are intentionally misrepresenting your intentions. Simply put, these are the questions of the typical pumper/dumper, chasing some new shinny thing of wonder...

Why not? the price isnt really appreciating. What is for Decred on the line for me to invest at this moment? What is the roadmap of the devs regarding new features, partnerships and marketing? I like this project and consider investing some but i dont hear much from it or from the devs talking about it in public, also seems the roadmap is just software updates deamon and gui related, nothing big really.

Any input from devs themselves? Why is there no marketing? Why would i as an investor put my money into Decred? It seems you guys arent really serious about this, there is not activity in marketing whatsoever.

If you expect others to give you reasons to put money into Decred as "an investor", then you shouldn't! It's really that simple. I'd imagine that someone with such a substantial posting history would know better... On the other hand, the implication that marketing is any affirmation of the seriousness of the project, speaks volumes about your motives and expectations here. Best of luck.

How long will it take to get my DCR unlocked if I stop pos?

How can you stop pos? You buy tickets and wait until either they vote or expire (6 months without vote I think) but I don't think you can cancel tickets otherwise.

So 24 hours after your last ticket votes you should have all your dcr spendable

Ticket expiration without getting picked to vote is about ~4.7 months (with some 99% chance that it gets picked before expiration).

97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing ZiftrCOIN Release on: June 23, 2016, 04:29:09 PM
I understand the reasoning behind making the giveaway coins and redemption a closed loop at first, you don't want to flood the network with coin that has been trading and privately held since the ICO. Better to wait until it's being actively used and accepted. If we are all able to get 100 free with the web wallet and can start transacting with that, it'll help get the coin moving...and that's a good thing. We also, as supporters of the concept, really need to spread the word.

The speculators aren't going to like the news too much, because it isn't designed to pop the price or spike trade volume. There is no impetus for a price move because there is no increased demand for the coins that are currently in open circulation and trading...you won't be able to use them on the payment network yet, anyway...and who knows when you will? But I'm holding long because I believe in the concept, and I really hope GoCoin is able to execute on the promise.

While I partly agree with your thoughts there FreeJack2k, I can't help but feel frustrated at the fact that this update, yet again, pushes any tangible progression into a later date.

I am a miner, and a speculator, and a consumer.
Mining terms remain the same, as long as we're on the same blockchain. Speculation remains the same as it always is, some folks want it up, some want it down. All of this is fine by me.
However, by now, I was truly expecting that I could give some practical use to the coins I hold. It's an update in the right direction, just not at the pace I would have wanted. I still read it as positive, but definitely not ideal.

Awesome update guys!  Smiley
I haven't updated my local node to the very latest yet, will you always make clear notice if a release is a critical upgrade? (I tend to be conservative in upgrading anything that I am not having issues with)
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing ZiftrCOIN Release on: June 22, 2016, 06:17:52 PM
If anyone wants to do a 3+ btc sale of ZiftrCOIN please PM me.

Anyone holding such a large amount, I'd very much doubt they be willing to take the going market rates. Heck, I have enough for such an order, but you'll get them much cheaper taking straight off the books on Bleutrade. In any case, good luck.

As I understood it, the blockchain will remain completely the same and we will be able to use our mined ZRC once the merchant network has had time to use the new system for a while. So for a while the GoPoints (ZRC) that will be used will only be from the website, but then it will be opened up to blockchain usage for depositing of the mined and bought funds from current wallets.

That partly answers my question, but I'm really looking for an official response. Note: what real use can the merchants go through, if there are no consumers with any coins? (apart from "us", miners or speculators, is my point)

100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing ZiftrCOIN Release on: June 22, 2016, 05:58:25 PM
[...]
For the time being, GoPoints will be exclusively offered in a "closed loop". That is, those GoPoints issued to merchants in the GoPayWin network and won by consumers will be the only points available in the GoPayWin wallet. We anticipate enabling the deposit feature, once our merchants are comfortable with the process and see the benefits of attracting customers that acquired GoPoints outside of the network.

This is a temporary measure that will be lifted as the network grows and starts transacting.
[...]

Please expand on what you mean by a "closed loop". Are we talking about the same blockchain or not?
Can I spend the ZRC that I mined (now GoPoints) in any of the enabled merchants or not?  Huh

I'm happy to see some update, but I have serious reservations as to what this "closed loop" signifies, from a practical standpoint, as well as to all of us that have been holding or mining ZRC since launch... Would appreciate a comprehensive clarification.
