citation: This is good input. We should extend bounties to integration on DeFi bridges and swap platforms.

We can make this a generalized push for robust liquidity, rather than focusing on legacy centralized exchanges.

good move.

from haveno site:

https://haveno.exchange/faq/#what-currencies-will-be-listed

What currencies will be listed?

We plan to launch with support for at least:

Cryptocurrencies: Monero (XMR), Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) , Ethereum (ETH)

Fiat: Euro (EUR), US Dollars (USD), British Pounds (GBP)

This list is not final. We will have a small set of currencies at launch, but more will follow shortly after.

Although I don’t use Bittrex myself, this seems like a major loss. Can this be prevented somehow?

I asked them if they would reconsider, but based on a past experience my guess would be that they won't. They seem to have been removing a lot of low volume coins as well as privacy-enhanced coins. I don't have any information as to why they made this decision and I doubt they would provide any beyond the referenced policy.

I will report back if I have any other info.

for sure, it is a great loss.
but time is not at centralized exchanges. the good period has elapsed.
devs, tradeogre is fully functional,
but please find another solution, DEX or swap structure;

i have noted but neither explored or used,
xchange.me appears ready to use aeon.

what about aeon.to revival?

Russia has 600+ billion dollars in central bank reserves.  Sanction them all you want, they are isolated for a very long time.  Plus they export gas and oil among other things.  So they take control piece by piece, one region, and another.  Biden can't do shit, Ukraine can't do shit.  those troops and anti-air batteries are insurance against any intervention by any other party.  next up, china and taiwan Chinese Taipei ? see : https://olympics.com/ioc/chinese-taipei

So bitcoin is down, but how much more down until it clicks that what you need is actually bitcoin in these times ?

bitcoin is presently low because of the arrival of finance guys who short it to control it, as every other market, even if i think they will not succeed because of miners and hodlers.

but there has been for several years a perspective of closing the russian access to Swift as a good sanction. 8 years ago, it was not actioned at the moment of crimea annexion, but at this time bitcoin was much less "integrated" than now.
if they action it now, russia will be obliged to find another way for their exports and commerce, and IMHO btc should explode.
86  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-01-27] Bill might give Yellen unilateral power to ban BTC and crypto on: February 09, 2022, 07:26:34 PM
Well, if Biden leave this decision with butthurt Janet Yellen, we will all suffer as a result of that. We know what happened when she was doing a speech and when the "Bitcoin Guy" held up a "Buy Bitcoin" sign behind her. She did not take kindly to that, so she will take some kind of revenge on Bitcoin for that embarrassment.

FED problems could slow the move..

Scam officially confirmed  Cheesy

Well, it could also be an account hack and the opening post was not deleted by the actual owner. It doesn't really make sense to just remove the opening post if it's a scam, then it's enough for the owner to simply disappear, also because the post and full thread is still and will be still available at archive.org and Google Cache.

could you give us an abstract of what is important on archive.org, or a google cache link?
seems that a thread with 800+ pages cannot die like that..

Good illustration of how the technocrats prey on the scientific illiteracy of the masses.  Often by simply changing some words:

Bayer admits that 95% of people would never have agreed to GENTHERAPY without this "vaccine"...!!!!
https://www.bitchute.com/video/1ub1EgzWFETW/

I've called it 'gene therapy' on this board for two years for the simple reason that that's what it is.  Ironically in this case it's not even a 'vaccine' by any reasonable definition as it neither provides any immunity nor stops spread of the putative 'virus'.  It's not looking like an anti-vaccine since it seems to foster both via a generalized degradation of the immune system as a whole.

so you have a great experience of integration of mRNA into genes (called also DNA)
may we get from you some bibliographical experience in peer reviewed published papers?

I call it 'gene therapy' because that is what the pharma companies called it up until less than two years ago when the marketing people said that referring to it as gene therapy would be bad marketing.  And, of course, it is a therapeutic which works by inserting designer genetics into a person's cell such that the cells are re-programmed to create designer proteins.

If the building industry started calling reinforced concrete 'framing' and rejected the term 'reinforced concrete' for marketing reasons associated with 'climate change', I would continue to call it 'reinforced concrete' because that is what it is and what it's been called from the beginning.  And no, I'm not an academic structural engineer with a bunch of 'peer reviewed papers' to my name.  Just a person with some experience, knowledge, and common sense.

What's going on with the project? In a recent interview with bloomberg, it is clear that the Diem Association is considering selling intellectual property and other assets to return funds to investors.
The consortium is also looking for a new job for development engineers. https://archive.fo/tgbED

It's a pity if all this takes place on the platform https://odysee.com for quite a long time, videos have been posted about the call to protect Libra and the crypto industry in general from regulatory pressure, but now bad news is really coming about the destruction of projects.

the project Diem/Libra has been cancelled after a fight with regulators

92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! on: January 20, 2022, 02:30:22 PM
Yes the president should be silent, however, if he really wanted to say something about it, do you think DGAF was really the response on it? How much is El Salvador’s debt load? There was an article that said that the debt load is $22 billion. That might be 90% of the country’s GDP and his response on the downgrade is DGAF? I shake my head to those people who praise him for it.

Also, how much bitcoin is El Salvador holding? It might be less than $100 million. That will not be enough to cover their debt load. We want to witness adoption of bitcoin, however, president Bukele should not be arrogant.
El Salvador is a developing country, developing countries are used to borrowing and El Salvador is not the only country in dept, developing countries that do not make bitcoin a legal tender are also in dept, they all borrow.

If El Salvador has adopted bitcoin earlier, will the country foreign dept be up to $22 billion? Do not get me wrong in this direction, I understand that before a country will accept an asset like bitcoin as a legal tender, there are some things to consider. El Salvador would have grown more than this if the country adopted bitcoin earlier and their dept will not be up to this.

When did El Salvador made bitcoin a legal tender? that was mid 2021, but see El Salvador's dept comparing it with gross domestic product in the country from 2012 to 2020 which is what you are talking about:

El Salvador Government Debt to GDP

https://tradingeconomics.com/el-salvador/government-debt-to-gdp

Is bitcoin the cause of the dept? EL Salvador has not made bitcoin a legal tender in 2020 but the dept grew as years passed by. If president Bukele know all these, it is frustrating which could be the reason for his tweet.

If bitcoin adoption continues, do you no think this can not help El Salvador? It will help the country. if your answer is no, then you might be one of the people that did not support bitcoin in the past.

the figures that you present for salvador's debt to GDP ratio are low, much lower than developed occidental countries, that are largely above 100 percent presently.
but apparently there has been an upward tendancy recently.
this could eventually be due to the present government, that invests a lot in permanent structures.

hence an evident difficulty for developing countries is that they cannot control sufficiently their currencies quotes, in front of dollar and euro for example;
adopting an independant international currency could eventually be a great advantage, if the horse chosen is adequate.

3 weeks has passed since I've done verification and ordered my Crypto.com card and all I get are notification and email how cool Crypto.com is and how convenient it is to trade there. Is it ok to wait for 3 weeks? Got my Binance card in a week. Already used my Binance card and made a turnover of over $1k with it... Could have saved on fees and used Crypto.com as they charge 0 for withdrawals and usage, but...

Aint it a scam? My grandfather who died a long time back called me a couple days back asking what this crypto.com ruse is. I told him not to worry and that crypto.com scammed a whole lot of people around these hills, leaving most of them with holed pants and in destitution a normal human being should never face. I remember myself being in a position my grandfather found himself in. Back then I only wished to walk away whole and with my money intact but bad things happen to all of us and incidentally I was also shut out of my money against my will. By the way I am my own grandfather.

gash your commentary is confusing between you and your grandfather...

I think that the word "hacked" is not that accurate in this case
I'm giving the team the time to explain what really happened here

all I saw happening from a user point of view, my app logged me out, for security reason obviously
I haven't logged in since today, and as I logged in again, I see no issues in my app so far

so come more precise details, thank you.

What I would like to see from this project, is that Obyte helps to facilitate the switch to more localized energy production and consumption. All kinds of installations will have to communicate (IOT) with each other, negotiate energy prices and sell (surplus) energy to each other, based on all kinds of parameters like the price of energy in that hour or minute, that demand and the supply.

solar energy ?
98  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting more bearish, what is the trigger? on: January 05, 2022, 01:34:49 AM
There are some speculations in social media that there is a group of whales in FTX who are short selling bitcoin. The group is lead by Sam Trabucco of Alameda Research according to rumors.

In other exchanges, speculations of very big bid orders have been created by the whales of Bitfinex and the whales of Binance. The sources where to find the data for this might be from paid services, however, if anyone has the resources, please share them hehe.

100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] Poloniex - Crypto Exchange with BTC/NXT on: December 30, 2021, 08:18:44 PM
Poloniex Is Trying To Rip Me Off My $3000 Worth Of BNB

Hello Guys!
Please I need your help.
I am a local crypto trader, I exchange cryptos to local currency. So I made a deposit of 5.5 BNB worth approximately $3000 as at time of deposit; from my Binance Bep2 wallet using their Cross-Chain Transaction feature.

The deposit was successful and here is the https://bscscan.com/tx/0x9f3480ea24e9c025cc4864745d0b24e7756151012b161fbfd6edc5166f0924df But the deposit wasn't credited to my Poloniex account.

I contacted their support and the response they gave me is that "Upon further investigation, we are unable to recover this deposit. You made a cross-chain transaction. A cross-chain is simply interoperability between two independent blockchains without an escrow or intermediaries and cross-chain swaps are performed through special smart contracts. However, we do not support it and the fund won’t be swapped automatically to the account even if the address is correct."... When I asked what that means, all they could tell me is that the fund is lost, that I can't be credited for the deposit unless they make a change in their Policy later in the future.

If you can't credit my Poloniex account, please send back my BNB to my wallet address, and their response is "the process to recover this token is extremely complicated and may result in significant cost, time, and risk." It is not like I made a wrong deposit, or that I sent a wrong token to the wrong address. The coin is there sitting in the deposit wallet address they gave me https://bscscan.com/address/0x013d03144b04e193336eb74ed695f88c67f72cb4.

I said okay, since the process of recovering the token is complicated like you said (I don't even understand what that means), this wallet address was automatically generated from your system and I am sure the private key is saved in your database, please give me the private key, let me import it in other wallets like Metamask and send out my BNB, this is their response "Unfortunately, private keys cannot be shared."... Okay, how about you guys do it yourself manually with the private key, import it to another wallet, remove any amount that it will cost you to recover or send out the tokens; from my deposit amount and send the remaining amount to another wallet address of yours or my own wallet, they still did not agree to that Their response is, "Unfortunately, we are unable to assist you with your request.".

I have even pleaded with them to send me at lease half of my deposit amount, to settle my client, and since then, they haven't replied to my emails.

Please if anyone can help me to recover my 5.5 BNB, I will gladly give him 1.5 BNB from the tokens... Please I am pleading, I can't afford to pay back $3000 to my client that owns the money.

not really a solution, but an info.
Justin Sun is not any more CEO of TRON, he has left on mid-december to become an official ambassador in granada.
however he is probably still an influent member of the board, hence probably also in poloniex.
why not contact him on twitter?
